Amazing food -- it's always a good sign when real live Italians are eating there! The service staff were so friendly and attentive, they also decorated our dessert plate for our anniversary without us telling us to. Drinks were super yummy. Overall, fantastic ambience and quality of food without pretension. And awesome value for money too. Fantastic for a date or a party.

The reason for choosing this restaurant is because the price is reasonable and the food is good. In addition to the birthday celebration, it is better than you. The funniest thing is that the staff can sing, play piano and dance. Anyway, a restaurant will know your birthday I am totally unaware that there will be a big battle. I live in Surprise, my frd, but I was buried in Surprise All of them are good surprises This is the best birthday restaurant I personally think. I plan to go to frd s birthday in the future. Degrees (other companies under the Qu Group are in good standing!)
btw, if you book with a credit card, you will have a cheap menu

Great brunch! One of the cheapest we've done so far! Service exceptional, friendly staff and atmosphere. Drinks constantly topped up and given without the need to ask, food great options and good quality (also good veggie options)

The atmosphere at this place is amazing. We made a reservation for the restaurant week about 400 HKD pr. Person.

We was supposed to be 5 people but one canceled just at arrival , so we told the waitress right away.

The music was a little too loud at the table we got and they gave us a real good table at the entrance.

We booked the table for restaurant week but didn t get the menu.

We told them we booked for that menu and was asked if we wanted to see it ??? Yes of course!

The starters was AMAZING and there was a lot of food, melting on your tongue, I would come back for that any day.

On the restaurant week menu you could have 2 glasses of redwine for a special price, 2 of us asked for it and the other 2 wanted white wine and a draft beer....

The steak are served on 2 cutting boards, beautiful thin slices.. The problem is that the waitress told us, serving it, there was 250 gram of beef each.... so 500 gram on each boards, but no way there was that much beef...!

We ordered M/R, but one of them was definitely very R.... but we should have send it back, its our fault.

The beef had a really good flavor, too bad it was not how I like my stake.

The problem is now that non of us had anything to drink, when the steak was served, the wine and beer we ordered before the main meal, haven t been served, so we was waiting for it... it was not busy, but still no drinks.

We ask for our drinks and it still takes a while, we can see the bartender is not busy and ask again, we are half done with our meal, still drinking water...

We ask to cancel the offer for 2 glasses of wine and only get one each now we are actually are waiting to eat the rest of the steak to enjoy it with just one glass of wine..

We had dessert.... Mmmh so delicious and we got a shot for free for the trouble.

What bothers me now is that the guy that made the reservation, got a mail from the restaurant, that we was not 5 people but only 4 people....

Yes we told it right away when we arrived. What is the point to write a email after we leave your restaurant?

This restaurant could easily have got my 5 stars. But it seems like the staff was not trained enough.. but they were all friendly.

Starters were great, but for mains three pastas were cold and then had obviously been warmed up (by microwave). Waitresses also seem to be on commission, big push for set menu or more expensive items. Overall unimpressed and certainly the least favourite of the restaurants in this group.

The food is great but the staff is pompous and suddenly food isn't that great anymore. You should train your staff to be polite and not dismissive of guests next time...that is if you can convince me to come back.

Good place to go in Wan Chai if you are looking for Italian food. The lunch and brunch menus come with a semi buffet which includes a variety of cold cuts, cheeses, & salads. If you have been to their sister restaurant Pici then you will be familiar with the flavor profiles here as a lot of the food is prepared similarly. The lunch set comes with a main and a choice of dessert.

For my main course I had the black truffle which was really nice. A healthy portion of fresh shaved truffle I paired with fresh pasta in a cream sauce. Really tasty and the type of pasta I like to eat. The dessert was decent and is an acceptable tiramisu. If you like pici than you will like Pirates as well. The menu offerings is more balanced here and has more non pasta items to choose from.

Pirata is great. They do a really nice brunch with a huge Parmesan cheese wheel and pastas.

Some bread in the basket was dampened. Main course and the cold cuts were good but still have other selections at such price.

Celebrated my birthday here and the weekend Brunch menu was delicious. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was excellent too! Woukd recommend!

We are always looking for a place to quickly book Oriental Grand Hyatt Hotel within walking distance. Great decoration, service, food and drinks are very rich and delicious. There is only one small complaint that seems to be a bit too little for the chefs. When we ask for the four-point recipe, it is awesome! My little daughter has been following us and they have provided us with free Italian style, all of which are great experiences.

Durring my whole 1 month stay in Hong Kong, this place has become my favourite. Good food, good ambience and lovely staffs. Especially, the supervisor; GunaKala, she is very friendly and helped me to explore their food and drinks. As a tourist, she not only helped me with the choices of food but also explained me every ins-outs of the city. Had a great company with her and felt very lucky in the new city to be treated not as a customer but as a friend. Thank you once again Kala!

Amazing brunch! cold cut meats, a good variety of salads, the broken eggs are to die for and the cheesecake at the end... speechless!

With a buffet table of cold dishes, meat, cheese, bread, salad. Ham is of good quality.
All main dishes taste delicious. I like the flank steak the most, very tender and moist. The truffle fettucine is also so creamy and eggy. And even the panna cotta is up to perfection, whole meal is enjoyable with excellent service from the staff.

Had a meal of pastas, one with duck Ragu and second was a cream pork sauce. Both were excellent. The duck Ragu pappardelle dish was absolutely amazing. Firm pasta with lots of flavor and incredible sauce. Ambiance is excellent and service is very good. After dinner we retired to their rooftop patio for some wine and that is also a great experience. Highly recommended

I had an exquisite dinner with my siblings. It was a casual chill evening. We had the Wagyu Parpadelle and Lobster Risotto, both dishes were amazingly delicious. We sat at the bar counter and was hosted by Glenn who was looking after us very well. Such a bubbly person yet emsuring we have the best service. Looking forward on our next visit.

Imagine eating in a farm, but the farm is at the top of a 30 floor high building. This is what eating at Pirata is about! The food reminds me of a paleo diet - potatoes, fresh veggies, cheese, and lots of unprocessed meats, all with great flavor and stunning views.

Pirata is the feature restaurant of the Pirata Group and a very good place for Italian on the 29th and 30th floor No. 29 Hennessey Road in Wanchai. Opening hours are 12-2.30 (lunch & weekend brunch) and 6.30-10.30pm (dinner). Reservations recommended during weekends, holidays and evenings.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with skyline views. Environs are good for groups of friends and date nights, service is seasoned, natural and timely. Prior to our meal we were served a well mixed Negroni and Basil Beauty mocktail. There is a good wine list available as well.

Food orders included Vitello Tonnato, fried calamari and sausage crostini (4 pieces) from their small plate (sharing) section. Everything was well made and tasted good, we particularly enjoyed the subtle flavours of the sausage.

We also shared an excellent Orecchiette pasta with sausage and n'juda sauce that had real flavour. Topped with arugula this was a delicious pasta order. A spinach salad topped with walnuts, sweet cherry tomato and shaved parmesan tasted just fine. Our meal was ended with fun and tasty Semifredo dessert - perfect for sharing.

Overall, this was a very good meal at Pirata, leaving us eager to return sooner than later. At this time, this is an easy restaurant to recommend in Wanchai for very good Italian food and dining.

Been a couple times and the food is always impeccable. Service is also on point with an inviting atmosphere and energy to the restaurant. Part of one of the best restaurant groups in the city.

Food is good, reason why I gave it 3 stars was due to the 2 seating policy, While I understand that it was Christmas Eve and they wanted to maximize their earnings by having 2 seating reservations, the time given to you was only 2 hours to finish the whole course! Good food should be savoured and not rushed to be eaten!

This was one of the best Italian food I have ever tasted. We visited Hong Kong last year November 2019 and the hats off to the head chef. The food was divine and well presented, the service was awesome and ambiance met all expectations. Well done and I will highly recommend again

It is a very nice restaurant. If I rate stars for the details... service 5 stars, food 4.5 stars, wine matching 4.5 stars, location 5 stars. The manager was really cheerful and kind to explain about the food and wine. And the other staffs were very nice too. The food taste and plating were very good. I ordered fork burn, tofu salad, yellow tail fish Carpaccio, fried egg plant, and Saint-Emilion wine. They were all good. Book in advance not to wait.

The service was fantastic, attentive but discrete. The menu was excellent, and our dishes fresh and full of flavour. Particular favorites were the mushroom risotto and the truffle linguini... excellent.

In terms of food and ambiance definitely a 5 star review. We had beautiful food and the restaurant is well appointed. However, I have to deduct a star for service. There was one female waitress who was doing everything, totally overworking and under supported. Two male maitre ds who didn't seem to do much apart from chatting at the cash registry. Get more staff on the floor and help support them.
