Good good, Italian. Good cocktails. Very slow service though..
The best restaurant in Hong Kong ever! Good food, good wine, beautiful view inside and on the roof. Perfect!!!
Great weekend brunch with free flow wine, Prosecco, Peach Bellini, Peroni beer and bartender's cocktail of the week!
Friends and I came here for the first time for brunch and we were not disappointed! The free Prosecco is also great, but the dishes on the table are delicious every time they arrive. Cheese, Italian meat, bread, salad-all great! Then a choice of appetizers and main dishes-a special treat and a real Italian experience. Will definitely come again in the future!
Great food, attentive staff. Classy without being pretentious.
Great restaurant! The service was splendid. The food was great! The menu was a combined menu where you could get dishes to share or order per person. Smaller portions. But if you get a 3 course you ll be full.
To find it, take the elevator to the 30th floor.
I have only been there for a big event. Their roof top is nice. The food was really good as well, I and definitely planning on going there again to have a better look at their menu.
Always a great place for lunch or dinner! Love the fish! You get a bday card and a photo if you are celebrating your birthday!
The Plin Ravioli (Chicken liver + Foie gras) was the real star tonight. I dont usually like chicken liver, or foie gras, but ordered it as it was part of the new menu, just to try. It must have fennel because it tastes like a very fancy breakfast patty (in the best way possible, I love breakfast sausage patties!)
The grand wagyu beef papparadelle was as amazing if not more than when I had it about 2 weeks ago, and mixed next to the table by Calvin! He also helped prepare and present the Veal Milanese in a delectable way! It was very crispy and seasoned beautifully.
The truffle caesar was very well enjoyed by all, and my friends enjoyed both the Fritto Misto and lobster risotto (as I cant enjoy since I'm allergic). The drinks were also tasty, the rosalina secco recommended by Calvin! I also had a Mrs. Negroni, where the red currant was a nice garnish for extra presentation!
Excellent night for a celebration, with a nice card and photo to savour the occasion
Great Italian food and wine at the right price in the heart of Want Chai
Service was really bad and unhelpful. The place is very noisy and everyone is literally sitting shoulder to shoulder. I understand HK space is limited, but giving customer a bad experience to fit in an extra chair is just ridiculous. I am highly disappointed and hope management can reflect on their business model and not only focus on profit and bottom line.
Oh btw, I begged to take a photo with a balloon that I customized for my friends birthday. They outright said that I cant and I can do it not in their premises.... Duhhh
There are 5 stars, because I feel very satisfied overall.
The food is delicious, the staff is good and nice.
Great service. Frequent top ups on the free flow. Relaxed atmosphere.
For those that don't know about the real Italian food can be a good place to discover it. Everything was really nice.
Excellent dishes with the flavors of the Italian trattoria
Delicious pasta. Lovely warm, cosy decor.
Definitely go 3 course in here if want to be pleasantly full.
Really top notch dinner. Artisanal theme with nuances that Europeans and locals love. Cosy, rustic, comfortable ambience and enjoyable skyline view. The vodka prosecco sorbet is a sensational finish.
Service was decent given how busy it appeared. Chianti was nice too.
Great service, good food with reasonable price. Definitely would come back again.
Great food. Suggest the "Let us feed you" from the menu.
Pirata has a hip as heck vibe, small and intimate, on the 30th floor with pretty special looks out the window. Very Hong Kong. The tuna and veal appetizer is special.
I always think service makes up like 20-30% of a restaurant, and this place gets it. The food itself is already quite good (ordered the chef s tasting menu for two) and added some side dishes (more than plenty for two), but the service is really quite good. Hard to come by an experience like this in Hong Kong that isn t a fine dining restaurant. Shoutout to Martin for that.
Bone marrow is really good, and highly recommend the pasta.
I made reservation for Christmas Eve dinner at Pirata and was much looking forward to it to celebrate with my girlfriend. Having heard the name Pirata for long, I expected good service and experience. It turned out to be poor service and attendance. Reservation was 8:30pm and we only got to sit down at 9:30pm (BY OURSELVES... we were moved to the rooftop and was told it would take 10-15 minutes for the table to be ready, so we ordered our drinks first. Soon after we realised many other people were moved to the rooftop and told the same, there was a crowd of people looking awkwardly at each other. It was only when we felt something might have gone wrong and went back down to ask, we saw the counter table was ready long ago but no one informed us). We only received a casual apology from the staff for literally waiting for one hour. The Christmas menu is a good deal for the portions and variety, food quality is fine. But the dishes come at irregular time, some much slower than the other (pretty slow I'd say). Overall it could've been a decent meal but completely ruined by the long wait, poor service and the feeling that PIRATA GROUP is so commercial that it wants to squeeze profits as much as possible to the detriment of restaurant services. I am against restaurants doing few rounds of meals on 1 night, it is impossible for everyone in 1st round to finish the meal on time, so people from 2nd round have to wait, everyone was forced to delay their schedule for the night. Selfish. PIRATA GROUP called to apologise and wished I could go back and discuss - no thanks. What's done is done.
Had Easter brunch at Pirata and loved it. The staff were attentive and lovely with my daughter. The food was delicious and the drinks great too. Thank you for a fab afternoon.
Food was soo good..especially loved the calamari and the egg plant parm
The brunch deal makes sense if you drink. If you don't, you'll realise how horrible the food is. The charcuterie and desserts are fine. The meatballs were dry and salty - worst meatballs I've ever had. The egg flan was salty. The lasagna was incredibly greasy. Maybe only the add-on items are good, I don't know. As I said, the desserts were great but they literally bring one small cup of tiramisu and one small bowl of pannacotta to share among 4 people.
Came here for a mate's 30th, had dinner followed by drinks on the roof. Dinner tasted great and there was a good deal of variety but they really over fed us! No way any human being good finish the amount they prepared for us. They let us take the majority home in doggy bags though which was cool. Drinks on the roof were ace, free flow booze and great ambiance, staff were great too. No 5* because of their wack no balloons policy and they were a little bit difficult about storing a cake for us, but apart from that twas an amazing evening!
The Orecchiette was delicious. The mussels we ordered smelt a little too strong for our liking so we returned it but they were very polite and good about it and took it off the bill. The service levels were great and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Lovely place for date night!
We booked from hk restaurant week. The portion is too large for my gf and I. We are already full before the main course came out. Otherwise, everything is perfect!
I give a 5 for service (thank you Anna) but a 2 for the first lunch I experience. I expected amazing food but was sorely disappointed especially with the pasta options.
The squid ink pasta was so bland it s tasted like it was cooked in pasta water (for the starch), a bit of food colouring, then salt. Anna, one of the floor staff, was quick to respond to our dissatisfaction and quickly offered options with a big smile on her face. Nothing but good vibes and attitude from this lovely woman. She convinced me it was worth giving this place a second try.
I came back a second time for brunch, and knew what to order and not. The steak was amazing, so was the fish and the lasagna! If you are order pasta here, go for the lasagna! All the other pasta is bland and unimpressive.
Came here for lunch on a weekday. Great value and wonderful service!
The linguine alle cozze was delicious.
Semi buffet with fair quality. Staff can be a bit more experienced. Mid range price for what it offers in Wan Chai area.
Nice interior deco with good food. Steak in there is nice. During lunch, they offer salad bar, delicious and fresh. If you like vege, for sure you will like it.
A set lunch is wrap up with dessert. What a perect end with a vanilla ice cream with espresso.
If the server can be more polite, that will be excellent.
Good quality of food, great view, love the half buffet.
Very nice place for free flow brunch. My 2nd time here for brunch. Antipasto buffet plus all apetizers on menu plus 1 main item. Too much food for me for sure.
Great atmosphere too for relaxing brunch. Just the antipasto bar was set at the bar table , kind of crowded and the bar table was quite high for a short girl like me, or kids.
They are very thoughtful though, probably know it's crowded so they 1st give you a platter with a combo of cheese and ham.
Free flow has a very nice prosecco and red. Peach Bellini is very tasty . the fish of the day was really good also. They even remove the big bones for you. A for effort.
The food is quite tasty, and the waitresses or waiters knows well how to recommend dish to try.
Service can be a little slow as they are quite busy, but the food is really good. Anti-pasti, cheeses and meat selection was good, and then their pastas are excellent. I really enjoyed the orchiette and sausage dish.
Really recommended as an Italian restaurant worth trying in HK.
Excellent and friendly service, generous food portions and delicious dishes. This, as well as The Optimist downstairs, is one of our favourite restaurants.
2018 autumn
More than 200 yuan, 200 grams of beef, no additional service fee.
Buffet salad, ham, cheese.
There are also desserts or coffee or tea.
High quality, praise!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. An exceptional experience. Highly recommended.
These are dishes that will come out of the Italian countryside wineries, but they are not exactly the delicacies you expect from this price in the city.
The steak is empty and the appetite of other food is lowered.
The caustic rain falls. How competitive is the restaurant in Hong Kong? You get more than 4 points on Google for this taste .... What's going on?
Sparkling wine is overflowing and the table is dirty, and the waiter who is not skilled at the service and is not friendly is also scored.
The atmosphere is good, and the entrance elevator also smells of the bathroom .... Looking at the review It was the wrong choice.
Great place for a brunch. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff without being overbearing. Nice selection for free flow drink and food options for vegetarian, fish and meat. The tiramisu is wonderful! As you'd expect on a holiday weekend they are focused on time though so a two hour table booking is two hours... But they give good warning about this. Worth the visit and I'd make a return visit too.
Lively urban setting with a view of mountainside WanChai. The staff were on point with service and for HK the price was reasonable for two. Gents on a modest budget, this is a solid date spot that has just enough to impress while letting you keep enough in your pocket for post dinner drinks. Good eats and you can look forward to an endless bread basket with oil and vinegar!
My taste buds are still singing from our last visit! After my meal, I was knocked into a food coma. The experience was heavenly as I was served a meal fit for God himself. The waiter was prompt and polite. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!
As always, a great place to just have a chill dinner. The new food is the bomb. We had the Grand Wagyu Papadelle and Lobster Risotto. The staffs was welcoming and entertaining. It was one hell of a fun night. Thank you to Glenn for recommending the foods, Pas and Daniel for the little chat and Sabby for always the welcoming one. Continua a splendere Pirata!
A happy brunch for families with good good and good service.
We had special Mother s Day lunch semi-buffet here. The menu was of good value, very big portion of starters. However, the quality of service wasn t on par with this setting / price range of restaurants, not that they are impolite, just that we have many question marks on how things are arranged /run here.
Quite good food (not outstanding but fair for the price). Good view and nice atmosphere
Amazing experience !! Real italian food and awesome service. Thumbs up for the new A La Carte !! We will be back !!
The best meal we had in Hong Kong. It is located on the 30th floor with a nice view. All dishes were well presented and tasted excellent. Calamari was spectacular, high quality T-bone steak, and the best grilled lobster we have ever had. The pastas were perfect; truffle pasta was excellent and the linguini vonvole was perfectly al dante with the best vongole sauce and aroma. Parma ham also excellent. The special old fashioned cocktail was also really good. Highly recommended.
not so italian
Bread was good. Burrata was okay. Ham had too much fat. Cocktail was horrible, had to leave it there. Service was not so attentive. The kitchen forgot our main dish. Lasagna was too salty. Overall a horrible experience. And toilets were really dirty! Wont recommend.
Amazing Sunday brunch. The service was good, the meal delicious and in a massive quantity. Strongly recommended
Kala was the best service provider! She was on time and in place at every moment. Sending so much love to her and this place!
Food is really good. Homemade style, what is hard to find in Hong Kong at a western restaurant . Love the meetballs, probably my favorite. Place is super clean and personal working really nice. I will Totally recommended for a work / friends lunch .
This is where it all started!
The beginning of Pirata and the Pirata group!
The food here is amazing and flawless especially the steak and pastas.
Nice Italian, no pizza but very good cold cuts and pasta. The tagliatelle with truffle was really good
CP rate of Pirata's lunch is super high - Good service, handsome waiters excellent main course (althrough the portion is a bit small) with all you can eat hams, cheese, salad..
the deseert is fanatic too. They dun charge you 10% service fee but I definitely recomment you to pay tips due to the fiid and service
Amazing lunch menue! The pasta is the bomb with an all you can eat antipasti buffet (cold cuts, cheese, salads...)
Disappointed with the services. Cocktail is nice and foods are quite alright, we love the scallop with bacon as appetiser. Waited for 1 hour or more for the spring chicken which I have checked with several waitresses and none of them come back with update.
Reasonable price, good service, must try dessert,, homemade pasta ,beef delicious
Really popular Italian restaurant that has kept its buzz since opening.
Great weekend brunches and it has an excellent buzzy atmosphere in the evenings. Service can be a little slow as they are quite busy, but the food is really good. Anti-pasti, cheeses and meat selection was good, and then their pastas are excellent. I really enjoyed the orchiette and sausage dish.
Really recommended as an Italian restaurant worth trying in HK.
Italian restaurant in an unlikely position atop a building in Hennessy road Wan Chai albeit equidistant from causewaybay.Good tasting food and interesting tapas style entres to choose from. Service could have been better.
Fantastic! Such an amazing place, attentive staff and incredible food
Italian food. Loved it a lot, very good service, gorgeous view and incredibly tasty. I would like to mention mussels, baked eggplant and pasta
