Understaffed to where the employees who are there are obviously overworked and they can't hide it - which I completely understand and I'm not saying it as a dig, I can just tell they are seven kinds of exhausted and that is the last thing you want happening with someone taking care of loved ones. I'm not sure who funds this home, but this place needs help badly. It's depressing.

My mom was a resident of this home, and was pleased with the facilities. Compare this facility with others in nearby area I would recommend Presbyterian Homes!
Lack of communication and unprofessional work place. You cant believe nothing the management says. The place is filthy and I wound not want to step another foot in that place.
I was offered a job by this company and they seemed impressed with my work experience. I was called down to finalize everything and to be welcome aboard to the company . I took a urine test and I brought my med list in. A guy named Mike came out and said that he didn t think they were gonna hire me because I was on pain medication. I tried to explain that it had NEVER hindered my ability to perform at other jobs and they d never had any problems before. He suddenly he started talking to me like I was some kind of junkie criminal. Asking if I d come in inebriated and couldn t properly perform my job!! He made me feel like I was some kind of junkie criminal even though I ve NEVER been in trouble with the law! It hurt my feelings so bad the way he treated me that I cried all the was home. I asked why he couldn t have given me a week or two trial period to prove myself. And why couldn t they have just called me and told me I couldn t have the job, instead of driving an hour down AND back! He was extremely mean and cold hearted. But I believe in karma and a man as mean as him will definitely have his karma one day!!
I have visited a family member on several occasions only to find that he had been placed on the floor " for his own safety" and most of the time his adult diaper was soiled and hours had gone by with no one checking on him or changing him. I would not ever recommend this facility to anyone because of the inadequate care and non concern that the employees give to the patients. It is very obvious that the employees as well as the nurse managers and facility directors are only here to collect a paycheck and the CNA's/CMA's that are assigned to care for the patients are only here to gain the experience on paper that they must have to get another/ better paying job.
CNA,s are awesome!! Treated my mother & mother in law like family , will never forget the girls on C & D Hall , & guys! Forever in my Bless you all for the job you do ,you are wonderful!!
i worked at hawfields for over a year a loved my job before new management took over.My patients ,family and coworkers seemed to love me.The facility management offered me a job and ask if would be interested in Supervisor and i declined and the upper management was all of a sudden no longer employed there. we were always short staffed and not appreciated. i have never been yelled at by a LPN supervisor or be so disrespected in all my year's of nursing and i am a RN but i mind being supervised by a LPN but being made to feel like fool and embarrassed in front of others.POOR MANAGEMENT. AFTER WORKING FOR OVER A YEAR THEN BE INFORMED MIKE DON GAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PATTY SMITH NOT TO COME BACK INTO THE BUILDING AND HE WAS NOT MAN ENOUGH TO TELL ME HIMSELF AND WITH REASON. I am glad to am out of such a bad situation. I worked hard without having any trouble before new management. I wouldn't put any loveone of mine in that building . I am truly sorry that the someone would be discriminated because they need a prescription drug and that they were treated so disrespectful by people that are caring for the elderly. yes my friend Karma is a wonderful thing Just remember God is good and he will put us in the right place.
