This place is not only over priced, it's also a poor excuse for sushi. My fiance and I have been twice; once recently and once about a year ago. Both times the food was bad. The only thing decent on the menu was the fried ice cream but it wasn't even that great. If you want to save yourself an upset stomach and a deep sense of regret: go next door to Tom thumb, buy four trays of their decent sushi and a six pack. You'll find that even though it's been sitting out on a cooling tray for a few hours it'll still be better than the crap at piranha.

I'm a regular. I visit an average of once a month with co-workers. Always clean. Service is prompt. Food is delicious. Recommendations: Salmon Ceviche and the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura as appetizers. Bullet Roll and Latino Roll as entrees. (Obvious that I like spicy food, and these fit the bill.) I always go with friends, and each has their own favorites. We eat sushi regularly, so we actually are pretty picky about our food. Piranha Killer Sushi is a no-brainer, no risk, always great choice. To drink for me: Arnold Palmer. They use a fresh mango tea - infuse it themselves - that makes it crazy good.

I have been going to the North Arlington restaurant for several years now, and I've never been disappointed. It makes me sad to read some of these reviews, because I've never experienced bad food or service.
At busier times, in the evening and on weekends, the hostesses offer buzzers and a trip to My Martini two doors down (they even let you know if the wait time will be shorter if you dine at My Martini.) The restaurant is small, so wait time for larger parties can be a while if you don't call ahead, but I've always found the hostesses, waiters, and chefs extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
When my friends and I first started eating there, we inundated the chefs with questions about what they were preparing, and what we were ordering. They never hesitate to give you info, no matter how busy they are. The waiters and waitresses have always given us the same treatment, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to place an order (10 if in a large group that's not familiar with the food.) I reccommend sitting at the bar - it's worth the wait.
I've never tried a roll I didn't enjoy, or a dish that wasn't truly yummy. Their sushi and sashimi always tastes fresh, and looks awesome. The presentation (marble slabs, decorative swirls of sauce and wasabi) is always entertaining. Their boats rock. I second whoever commented on the wasabi crusted salmon roll - we've dubbed it the "potato chip of the sushi world." I can honestly say that none of my orders have ever been messed up or forgotten, and the wait time is no longer than any other restaurant (10-20 minutes.)
This is an all around treat for North and South Arlington! (And Fort Worth, for that matter - the newer location is beautiful.) I've tried quite a few sushi restaurants, and Pirahna continues to remain my favorite!
