The most corrupt system in America is here in Florida. Can't believe what goes on here is legal and constitutional.

Pinellas County Deputies and Officers have come to aid my family throughout our decades here. The most recent example of their knowledge and dedication was when my car was robbed last week. The reporting Deputy (B.B.) examined the crime scene and offered me all of the possible actions I could take. We agreed on how to pursue the case. Then, an hour later the Deputy returns with almost ALL of My Stuff!!! He knew where and how to search and he brought back what had been taken. This community is extremely grateful to have the responsive and intelligent Deputies and Officers that we have. My neighbors who heard this story all agree that (B.B.) is an excellent example of what makes the PCSO such a gift.

Thank you for the work you do for the most part every officer I have encountered did there job and we're respectful there are a few that are on some kind of power trip but them are the few and far between.

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for today [8/21] when a deputy found me stuck on the road due to a blown gas line and helped myself, my car, and other drivers stay safe while we waited for the tow truck. Excellent work, I appreciate it a lot. I was so worried while my car sat stranded in the middle of the road, but the deputy's presence really helped the flow of traffic around my car and put my mind at ease. THANK YOU.

The Deputies are awesome.... Very much respect for all of us ..... Until you get nasty to them. I've seen some of the sheriffs in action and these guys are the best..... Love them....And every time I have talked to any sheriffs I always tell them to be safe after our conversation.... I have the most respect for them......

Your decision not to charge the Male who was shoved in the parking lot of the convenience store is legally wrong.

He was shoved, the male who shoved him backed up, did not advance towards the male on the ground nor did he stand over him. The Male on the ground had time to pause and think about pulling the gun.

His life at that time was clearly not being threatened.

This was clear cut murder or manslaughter 1. This is clearly a law enforcement first week training issue which you the Sheriff should know.

I am an ex law enforcement officer and you sir are wrong not apprehending the shooter.

Great laid back people. I could have gotten a DUI. But he said go park and sit somewhere don t drink and drive. But I wasn t drinking alcohol it root beer in the weird looking bottles.

Sheriff Bob Gualtieri is the type of person who gives honest police a bad reputation.

Any interaction I have had with them, which fortunately isn't on the receiving end of a ticket, has been courteous and laid back. I see a lot of 1 stars, I wonder if most of those are from people upset cause they got a ticket? Assuming so since they don't put a reason or even constructive criticism.

Quick and to the point. Officers don't know the law on public photography. Officers refused to give their name and badge number. Officers are jerks.

Okay. If you are going to write a nasty comment, make sure you don't sound like an idiot and misspell things as well as use improper grammar. Also these officers and deputies work much harder than most of you will in your entire life. They deal with bratty teenage drivers who think they know everything and they also keep our streets a safe place. I give props to anyone willing to do what these officers do. They put their life on the line for you and all you do is trash talk them.

I was stopped last June for not having lights on my bike but I was using my phone as a light and cause they thought I was suspicious due to stopping to fix the light. Cop asked if I was alright and just remind me I need a mount on light and was very friendly and checked if I had a record (which i don't, and it was after I got off work at 11:30 at night) however, he asked if he could search my bag (which I believe is a violation to my 4th admendment right which illegal search and seizure) and which I didn't have a problem doing since I wanted to get over and get with my day, and his excuse was cause of recent burglaries. You checked I had a record and it showed I didn't, so what's the point of doing that. That's a violation of my rights. But at the end the cop was very nice and friendly which I definitely appreciate and stuff. But that's why I'm giving four stars instead of five due to that illegal search.

I have a question concerning the Deputy who was recently arrested for public intoxication and verbally abusing his wife in public. Was he disciplined in any way? Or were the charges quietly dismissed?

Had to talk to three diffrent people about making an appointment was insane had two people arguing with me that they didnt set the appointment when it came to go telling me i was wrong when they clearly had a mistake in there system

I called for an ambulance. The dispatch sent over kill on sheriffs. Instead of helping me dispatch kept asking me if I knew the address to St Pete general. How untrained is dispatch , I thought since they let Amber die due to negligence they would have been retrained at least that s what they told the tax payers who pay their salaries! I am so disgusted by the fact they wanted to put a real gun in my kids hands. It was a BB gun, I took him to hospital for observation, no one was at front desk for over 30 minutes, probably more. I was so sickened by the unprofessional behavior of this Sheriff, he got my name ect. and went to his car to run warrants on me. My child was in danger and so was I. This is not the first time the Sheriffs have completely ignored the real events happening. I am disabled today thanks to 42 calls the Sheriffs did not do their job. It was to late by the 43rd call. I had been severely beaten, and my throat was slit everything in my house was gone. They refused to take me to hospital, laughed, made snide remarks and left without securing my home. I am calling my attorney Mrs. Blackwell. Did you know the Sheriff s can block your call to the non emergency line just because. That is against our constitutional rights. They did nothing to help my child out me a waste of 1 hour and 30 minutes. I bet they bill for it. I will add to post, after my attorney gets to the bottom of this, Unethical behavior! I finally found my son. Thank God he is okay, no thanks to the Sheriffs. My son said over four Sheriffs cars passed him while he was walking home and not one of them stopped? The hostile sheriffs had his description he is a kid/ minor in need of observation and not one could do their job and stop. It was at night he should of stuck out due to FL state curfew laws! Just what are the sheriffs doing ? It certainly is not the job Ivy Leagel graduates with criminal justice degrees are trained to do. I better not find out when my attorney pulls report that they lied and said they looked for him. Thank God I video taped it, the hospital has record of it on video too. No lies only the facts. You will answer for your unprofessional demure. We need the I. A. back, this police policing police just makes them get away with murder. They are not held accountable by anyone, that has to change.

I was stopped by a deputy in Pinellas County for swerving ONCE within the lane. He told me he was stopping me to see, if I was okay. No, he was stopping me to see, if he could write me for a DUI and take me to jail. I was stone sober, so he couldn't do anything.

It seems Florida's laws have become very dependent on the subjectivity of the officer's judgment as to whether a person is intoxicated or not, and an officer can write you a citation if you've had any alcohol at all. That probably means they can also take you to jail and impound your vehicle, as well. This is ridiculous and the reason why we have had a law that states .08 is over the limit. A law that is left up to officers' judgments is a law that will be twisted to cause inconvenience to others, detention, confiscation of property, and other heinous behaviors.

Swerving once within a lane of travel is not sufficient probable cause to detain someone for a traffic stop in pursuit of a DUI arrest. When he gave me my documents back, he told me I was "....free to go." What happened to drive safely, which should be the point of traffic law enforcement? The point is that there are law enforcement officers who trample others' Constitutional rights either outrightly or through subversion, because the ends justify the means. In this case, my ability to travel freely was suspended through detainment without probable cause.

I have heard that officers receive payments for their DUI stops, which seems to be a conflict of interest. Whether this is true or not, I should not have been stopped for merely swerving once in the lane.

I had a wonderful experience working with a Deputy in regards to a cyber theft case. I sold an item online and the customer reversed payment and kept the item. The Deputy was able to contact the customer and get the item shipped back to me. He was very attentive, called and emailed often and kept me up to date throughout the case. The case was settled in about 2 weeks thanks to the Deputy's dedication and hard work. I am very thankful for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office!

I was pulled over the other night by deputy ford of the pcsd and he was so nice and answered all of my questions,wrote me a warning and let me go, the entire stop only took 10 min, i have lived in pinellas county for over 5 years and have never been robbed or had my car broken into, and there are no law less parts of this county, I really like that homeless people cant beg at intersections like they do in tampa, The recent cops episodes were so good

The deputies at the sign-in/registration desk in the visitors center, are always warm, professional, courteous and helpful towards those of us family members and/or friends, of whom are our love ones visitors. Always, I am treated with dignity and respectfulness-to which I most surely appreciate as a father, visiting his son, under stressfully difficult, personal family circumstances! Registering online, for inmate visitation is quick, seamless and efficient!

I was in medical 4th floor. They have a multi purpose room with no camera s. The deputy s can lock you up in there and stand over you and yell at you like a dog. Threatening you to single cell you put handcuffs on you to small without the extra link dislocate shoulder when you complained the Sargent tells you no blood no problem. All the deputy s stick up for each other. I know there is a lot of criminal s come in. And state and public defender doesn't care about true justice.b because of this I have no faith in God or justice it's just way they can score points. They do not care on right justice compassion or the good. They have their on law and rules. Everything else is meaningless.

LEO s are not concerned with situations I have needed their assistance with and choose to create doubt in the victims minds rather than support them (my family in my experiences). I would never want to have a serious need again requiring law enforcements help because I know I won t get it. They truly DO NOT CARE

They refuse to identify themselves and try and give false information to try and incriminate citizens by using scare tactics they harrasse and dont do a professional job by roping crime scene and then harrasse by saying your in their crime scene and they put handicap signs on their rearview mirror when they are obviously not handicap. In what few interactions have had with them, very professional and care about the communities and doing there job.

I have had dealing with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office for the past 7 years and each encounter is worse than the other.

A Pinellas county worker calling himself Mr. little was peeping in my daughter's window. I had to chase him off my property. I called the Sheriff's department and they came out. The Deputy tried to defend Mr. Little's Actions by saying, "Maybe he was looking for the meter to read." In my daughter's bedroom? I then had to chase the deputy off my property.

I was then forced off the highway by a Pinellas County work truck. I called the Sheriff again. The dispatcher said that there is nothing a deputy can do about it; even with the License plate number and work truck number. I had to insist that a deputy come out and take a report. When the deputy got there, he was in a very aggressive mood and decided that he wasn't going to file a report.

Lastly, a deputy, who I merely asked a question, was violent towards me and threatened myself and my children with violence. When I asked for the deputies card, badge number, and name, he then became more violent towards us. I asked the dispatch many times for the deputy's information. After a month of trying to get the deputy's information, without success, I gave up.

This organization doesn't hold it's deputies responsible for their actions. They protect them. A gang of psychopaths, robbers, & thieves. Worst organization I have ever dealt with.

I just like to know why that guy gave the pcso one star just because he had problems with his neighbor? What was he thinking? The deputies at pcso are his personal slaves.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Largo is awesome! Thanks so much for your quick response to my frantic plea for help this past Friday in locating our son, who had been off on a short bike ride that turned into 5 hours with no communication. Whoever was working with me kept me on the line while she checked accident reports, local hospitals, etc. When none of those got results, she sent an officer to his apartment, where they found him arriving back home safe just as they walked up to his door. Thanks for the patience, kindness, and efficiency you exhibited. We are very grateful! Kudos!

I went there to make a police report. I was the second one in line at the desk. The intake female deputy was rude making judgemental statements, disrespecting customers. I gave her my ID then waited in the lobby for a deputy to speak with me. As I sat in the lobby waiting for the deputy, the deputy was knocking at my home front door leaving a business card as I was not home. The deputy then found me still waiting in the PCSO lobby. The male deputy took the information for the report while we were standing outside by the PCSO front doors and officers were ceremonially marching and yelling a few feet away.
Seemed bizarre with absence of professionalism-clown show entire time. Disrespectful rude behaviors to the citizens they serve. Please be respectful of all.

When you call, their answering service says their goal is provide cost effective police presence, but they charge you $250 when they respond to an alarm at your business. Is this the government or the Mafia???

Thank you Sheriff's Dept. for assisting us in finding a lost "service dog." this happened in the Countryside area and I didn't know that was the Clearwater Police Dept jurisdiction. About 2:30 a.,m. your operator transferred the call very promptly and the Clearwater Police Officers Teague and Egger arrived promptly. They found the dog within an hour and brought her to our house.
Special thanks for all the KIND things that our men and women in uniform do for us citizens. We appreciate everyone of you folks and thank you from the bottom of our heart.

They stold mine and my boyfriends I'd and social security card last night and tried to arrest us for prowling and trespassing when we we simply sleeping they need to get there facts right before accusing people of doing things they arnt or a lawsuit will eventually be put into place and offier dep. Ward when she got off shift didn't report into the he case that she wrote up on us didn't even state she had our ids and ss cards and now being on vacation are stuck here another night due to neglance and stupidity

I've been harassed, assaulted, punched, followed to work and possessions broken by one specific neighbor. I reached out to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office multiple times - I've even stopped officers randomly to ask about my options and for help. I have gotten NOTHING. Nothing but sarcastic, cocky comments. I'm moving now. Thanks for nothing.

Copsplain this officers, when a citizen asserts their rights how is that being difficult ? If we all just complied how many rights would you violate? How many times would you break your oath?

When your deputy watched as I was kneed in the chest by a Largo Police Officer over and over and over and over and over. I guess he was trying to kill me or maybe he was trying to make me squeal like a pig. For a man that was twice my size, he wasn t even able to make me resist him? Maybe making me resist the beating was the ultimate goal? No, he tried like heck to break off a section of my rib cage. Don t even get me started on the torture that took place in the jail that is run by your organization. Thank God for RICO laws that are going to shut down this criminal cartel.

Watched a video of a couple officers treating a citizen poorly. Why do you allow this?

Department needs officers with better attitudes. Find the fact out before you judge someone and make them feel like they are the guilty party especially when the one was the one who approached the department for help. Officer at the desk was a 5 star officer who assisted was not so helpful. These officers are the reason people dislike cops so much. In short teach these officers to look at all the facts first.

I'm in our neighborhood crime watch & have contact with the PCSO. From Bob Gualtieri on down they're top-notch.

Reading most of these negative reviews and they all have the same theme...seems to me more like fake BS or personal/political views than someone who actually had an issue with them. Theyve helped me numerous times in past 15 years. The officers are regular folk and have never once felt threatened or seen corruption.

I have had plenty experiences and espicially while on the water with deputies, they seem to have some integrity, they are open to debates in most situations, they have a higher iq to actually debate with. I just wished I lived in a area that was county, instead of having to deal with the trash that we currently have.

Most of the police officers are homophobic, violent, and inconsiderate of people and minors with ptsd, panic disorder, and anxiety disorder. They threaten minors with handcuffs when they are trying to diffuse the situation and understand why they are being questioned. Act inhumane and inconsiderately towards adults and minors.

And it's Sheriff's Office, NOT "Department" as the Sheriff is an elected official

Thay use to much force on someone when someone is just being mouthing thay taze people spending to much tax money wen thay put people in the medical wings because of the shift superviser gets mouthed off

On multiple occasions, this department has shown me that they are here to protect its residents, including the sea and wildlife. From rescuing a pelican to checking that my home was secure during an evacuation, this department has proven to be stellar.

Was here for my friend who was a recent victim of a sexual assault . The lady at the front desk told me my friends case number did not exists even thought I was sent here by the Clearwater police office and had already called the pinellas county sheriff office and got the case number she was rude had no sympathy and no understanding for frustration from being sent to 3 different places for a rape kit . she doesn't deserve her job she isn't here to protect or help anyone just turn them away . Finally after giving her a hard time she sent a case worker to help my friend . It is disappointing and depressing how unhelpful they were under the circumstances. My friend is not a statistic . She is a human being who was sexually assulted and the sherif office just wanted us to turn our backs and forget about it and that is disheartening

Booking a 15 year old and charging her and her friend with battery and forcing her into a diversion program for a cat fight on the beach with known Violators of the law? Appalled. Do your homework. Youth Services is failing on this one. So is the Deputy that put my 15 year old daughter and her friend into a drunk wagon with two adult males that were falling all over themselves. When the Detective reviewing the case was asked about it his comment to me was C'mon 8000 people on the beach can you really blame the officer for his actions. Well, " Yes I can" is the answer. I would give -10 stars if I could.

Pinellas County Sheriff opposes 2nd Amendment rights.

My aunts car was broken into earlier this week while at St. Pete beach. The law was called and an officer whose last name starts with a "G" responded. This was the most unprofessional woman I have dealt with and I work in law enforcement. I am from NC and am a concealed carry. She criticized me for carrying a small .380, which is my 2nd amendment right, and stated that I should "leave it at home". Might as well carry a book for my protection right? My aunt had an expensive purse stolen and she was snooty asking. I was an inconvenience to this lady despite the fact the back glass was broken out of my vehicle and two purses were stolen at no fault of my own. The purses were "hidden" under the seats and were grabbed. She stated that I shouldn't have hidden them in the vehicle. What should I have done? Placed them on the roof? She stated that a hidden purse was more vulnerable than a purse sitting in the open.

We visit St. Pete often but I have no confidence in the sheriffs office there. I was the victim and got chewed like I was the criminal.

Pinellas County deputies acted so professional and courtesy whenever I got pulled over for minor civil infractions. People, needs to cease breaking the law if you don't want to see law enforcement presence. People that usually nagged, complain, & whining about law enforcement are likely law breakers or idiots. Try not to break the law you won't have any legal problems. Just like that saying " Play stupid games win stupid prizes."

Friend being denied necessary healthcare at a hospital. BP 170/110. Had heart attack earlier today. Still having chest pains and has a heart stent. Keeping him in jail clinic instead of receiving proper medical attention.

Always glad to know that my local "PD" has the time to escort me down 6 different streets over the course of 1.5 miles to ensure that I made it home safely on a late Tuesday afternoon. Thanks you guys :)

Called them a week ago because I'm from out of state to file a complaint against the sheriff with the Department still haven't got a phone call back not surprised at all

Tried to report a reckless driver this morning to PCSO Ortiz in South Pasadena. I was met with arrogance, hostility, and a generally bad attitude.

The sheriff's deputies have always been there when I need them some are a little on the corse side but some times that is what you want on law enforcement.

They intimidate citizens, refuse to identify themselves when asked, abuse what they know of the law which doesn't seem like much. Acting like a gang more than they do anything else, pushback from the community is becoming more and more strong. The citizens pay your salary and you choose to try to manipulate and intimidate them, that's pathetic.

This guy listens only to Mr. Rick in St. .Pete.
