A great place to foster, find a forever furbuddy, and a worthy place to donate to. They do great things for the injured, abandoned and just discarded animals of Tucson.

Loved it! We adopted a beautiful Siberian Huski, fell in love with her at first site. My wife and I are very happy.
Take my dog named Mandy. They treated her very well and helped her in any way they could. I thank all the staff who helped Mandy. They are wonderful people, the Veterinary Doctor, the assistants, the translator who helped me. Thank you thank you very much.

We have a beautiful addition to our family Maya. If you are planning to get a new dog consider getting one from PACC. Maya so loving. PACC spayeds and nuters prior to adaptions.
I didn't get to spend a lot of time there but my wife says they were nice, it was a good experience all around. And they saved our cat! He ran away about 5 1/2 weeks ago and since my wife's been checking the online inventory (in addition to walks, posters, good Samaritans). Someone amazing got him and brought him in the previous night, and PACC gave him a place to chill until we could get him. They vaccinated and chipped him (now he has two, the first was worthless) and gave us medicine, no charge. Thanks PACC!
They don't have a simple database to look up any particular animal or breed you may be searching for. That's ridiculous!
My dog was kidnapped, a Spanish-speaking HERO rescued my dog & brought him to PACC! Thank YOU, whoever you are, & thank you PACC. Awesome people-the best you'll ever find ANYWHERE! Kind, loving, dedicated people
Adopted our new fur son here. Adopt don't shop! Plus they have an amazing new facility and treat their dogs with kindness and care. Go visit!!!
This shelter needs all the love they can get! It s absolutely overflowing with pets that need homes with kind owners who ll love them.
Short staff we adopted a cat here two years ago and are very happy. The facilities here are in need of repair and to expand witch it looks like they are will write another review in about a year or so
A scared older dog turned up on my porch after a storm the other night. I've been calling for 2 days and no one has gotten back to me. Yesterday I got through to disbatch who yelled at me for trying to file a found pet report through him since all the voicemails were full for over 24 hours. I still have the poor dog and the owners probably can't get through to the shelter either. Can someone explain how PACC has a much bigger budget now than 20 yards ago but has no one to even answer lost and found pet calls during monsoon season anymore? The beginning of July has fireworks and storms every year. How is PACC not prepared at all?
Much, much nicer facilities due to the reno. I grew up in Tucson in the 80's when it was called Pima Animal Control Center. It was a dismal-dump. Unfortunately, I would say that 90% of the dogs they have in the kennels are a form of pitbull breed mix. All in all, 4 stars for the new and improved, Pima Animal Care Center!
I lived in a neighborhood that ran wild with feral cats and decided to reach out to the Pima Animal Care Center and they took great care with educating me on their Trap & Release program. They hooked me up with five cages free of charge and trained me on how to operate them and use them efficiently for the time span I had them for.
Needless to say, it was a huge success and within two weeks I caught up to five feral cats and had them all fixed before releasing them all back to their little wild tribes.
I highly recommend people involve themselves in T&R programs if they can because it is beyond rewarding to know how much of an impact you can make for those cats' lives.
Pima Animal Care Center showed me this first hand and Emily who works there is one of the kindest and most educated staff members I encountered there!
They don t screen FELV for cats and that s a huge issue for me. Thank god my cat didn t catch it from one of the hundreds of UNTESTED cats in the shelter. I got told it s because of too many false positives but my vet was able to confirm she didn t have it in 15 minutes, I don t buy your excuse PACC get a better one.
June is free cat month! Please foster or adopt. I picked up a foster cat here a couple weeks ago. The employees are very helpful. They gave me food and medication to take home. The little sick kitty is getting better everyday. They have an online site where I can book a vet appointment. The cat saw the vet last Saturday. Even with an emergency surgery and boxes of kittens coming in, I was seen on time and did not wait long. My only suggestion is I wish I could have spoken to the vet, they took the cat in the back, examined him and gave him back. I had questions but I know how limited their time is with so many animals.
I love all the animals!! I wish I could take them all home The staff is friendly and helpful!!
Please adopt dont shop
Soo many animals need homes!
I see the animals in horrible pain from abuse and stress from being locked up and needing love. They have not done anything wrong to be put in prison. The shelters do help them alot but it is sad.
Thank God for these people that take care of these poor animals.
They Are all such awesome people!! They went above and beyond to help me and my 2 dogs out.. I felt extremely blessed to receive all the help i did from them...
I have adopted 2 dogs from here I love this place, and now they don't have tents all animals are inside the new facility. The new facility is so nice.
It was a horrible experience at the Pima Animal Care Facility my dog was kidnapped from my backyard and somehow got away and she ended up down at pacc because by standard found her in the pouring rain drenched and almost being hit by a car she brought her down there and they put her in the kennel up for adoption I don't even think they waited 48 hours before they started taking rain checks
Plenty of options for pets and the facility is super clean
It's a beautiful place with a lot of services. But the staff wasn't very friendly or helpful.
Very nice place. They take great care of the pets here. If you're looking to adopt, this is Definetly the place.
They were grate with us and helpful to getting us our dog
I volunteered at PAC for a short while, found it to be very disorganized.
There was a true effort to get animals adopted but too many animals ,not enough room ,staff, volunteers and $. After a run-in with another volunteer I just washed my hands of the whole thing. Too Bad
Hope the new building brings improvements but without adequate staffing, it is doomed
Very loving facility. Well setup for covid protections. Very fast and caring services.
They are rude, found some kittens at work all the lady cared about was oh bottle feed. I couldnt keep or I would of. Will never use this place.
Great place, new buildings, very clean, no smell, great place to adopt a pet
We love the sweet kitty we adopted from here.
Staff on the clinic side were extremely slow to help unfortunately otherwise it would've been 5 stars. They weren't obnoxiously rude but when a few people were standing there waiting to pick up our animals numerous staff members walked by and ignored us completely.
Jamie and Ari helped us today, they were not only friendly but knowledgeable and patient. I really appreciate all their help and can not thank them enough for their guidance.
Richard helped us yesterday and was also very helpful, it was clear all three love these dogs very much.
Thank you!
The staff at PACC are kind, caring, and helpful. The facility has improved so much since I went there to adopt animals in the 1990s. I strongly recommend visiting to find your new best friend or to see how you can volunteer.
We've adopted dogs and cats from them and all experiences have been great. Had to have a surgery on 1 and the clinic was as great as the rest of the staff
It's a sad place because there's so many dogs that need attention and not nearly enough staff and volunteers to help out. But what staff they have are excellent and really do care about the animals. Make sure you get as much information as you can so you can get a good fit.
Clean and friendly.. Lots and lots of new fuzzy kids need homes
Sad day! But this staff was awesome and msde it much easier.
You guys can t even speak to people through the phone, you just have automated voice messages.
Adopt from here they are 90% no kill they regularly offer specials for no adoption fees definitely adopt from here I go here instead of the humane society, its less expensive and generally the animals are taken care of better, and the rehabilitate LOTS more animals here than the humane society
Adopted a kitten. All shots, chipped and spayed @ no cost! Can't be beat. A fairly new facility. Clean, well lit and air conditioned. Very nice. AAA+
Ive adopted a few animals from this place. Always friendly staff.
Super organized in their process for looking, meeting and adopting. Animals safety comes first . So many dogs and cats.
Friendly staff. All the animals are well taken care of. They have a beautiful area where you can spend time getting to know your future pet.
Under construction so very hard to figure out where to drop off a stay animal.
They haven t emailed me back in a week about an appointment, I have submitted two different surveys and still nothing. The whole thing is a complete joke.
Terrible customer service tried to leave message could had simple question if they have any small dogs to adopt could not get answers
I have found Pima Animal Care Center very helpful in many ways...staff interaction has been great. The dog and cat I adopted from the Center are great additions to my family.
In addition, the costs were WAY better than those of so many other centers. Any issues the cat had were listed and explained to me. (Does anyone know any cats that DON'T have issues?" It's a CAT!
My thanks go out to the Volunteers who work there, the Organization's record keeping has been excellent, especially considering the issues I've had lately with doctors and lawyers, and, especially banks...So...guess I'm a happy camper with at least one local institution, PACC.
There is a volunteer event that occurs every Tuesday from 5PM-8PM where people come and walk dogs. The staff is very friendly in focus with the welfare of the animals in mind first.
absolutely beautiful facility wonderful people huge hearts
Nice looking facility. Gated can't get in to see anyone in person trying using phone and web however very Difficult to reach anyone. I was unable to find any information on website for services for service animals. Still waiting so far no one return my calls after numerous messages were left clearly stated my intentions to get a license. Poorly managed and uncommunicative. I also received a bill which includes late fee for a animal I don't have how it this possible!! I'm definitely not going to pay any fines nor donate anymore to lost causes.
Very frustrated. I was interested in adopting a Husky posted on website. They do not allow for any info by phone - must go to facility. I drove over an hour each way only to find out that the dog was in foster care home for incurable cancer! He was not adoptable. I was grateful he was in a great loving home for his last days. I could not have done better for him. He should not have been listed as adoptable! That is very poor of shelter to list him. It was a waste of my time, gas, and emotion.
My only cat child needed a friend, and I found her new little sister here. PACC took care of everything, and adoption was a breeze and cheap. I am eternally thankful to them for everything they do to help animals in need of a home.
Very very nice staff was very nice it is a very clean
Wonderful people. Helped with locating my lost animals and overall great experience.
Wonderful new buildings with easily accessible piblic restrooms. Wide selection of cats and dogs kept in humane conditions. Very low rate of euthanasia compared to many other government shelters around the country acording to a volunteer at the rival Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Very affordable adoption rates, especually for senior animals.
They could fix the animal database system. 3 times recently traveled over a hour adopt a pup and they were already adopted ... Then the holds and you can't adopt until they stick microchips and cut into their reproduction organs. who the hell gives you the right to just spay and fix dogs you find off the streets . Something doesn't sit right with me with this model
Great customer service very sad when dropping stray dogs off though. But they are great with dogs they have a 93% adoption rate which is awesome not only that they spayed and neuter the dogs before giving them out and they're just awesome they have a great group of volunteers there to who walk the dogs daily and volunteer their own time love them.
I found the staff at the clinic to be very caring, understanding, and respectful of my pain as well as the my cats. They made a very bad situation as bearable as could be expected. I appreciated that very much. The following day I had called to get the results of his exam. The lady on the phone had to deliver the worst news possible. She was companionate and comforting in her delivery. Answered all of my questions and expressed her condolences.
Excellent service from everyone.
Thank you.
Found a home for a good dog of friends of mine!No kill
Love the work everyone there puts in, these poor babies need homes and they get such love while they are there!
This place is clean and so amazing! The staff and volunteers work so hard to help the people and the animals here and the facility is amazing. They work with their hearts here and help so many families and furry friends.
The new location for PACC is gorgeous and very modern. The staff are very welcoming and have a great sense of humor. I had 4 dogs licensed here and it inly took 20mins. There is also a great adoption center here as well.
My experience is only that of watching a video of Jukebox and Agatha . It truly touched my heart and had me in tears of joy!! I want to say that what you represent and the way you told their story truly needs to be recognized by everyone. I live in New Jersey and recently had to part with my King Charles Cavalier . He was 16 years old and crossed the rainbow bridge.
I only wish I was closer to adopt one of your rescues. Keep doing what you re doing you are truly doing it RIGHT! Thank you!
It's new and nice but I just have an issue with homeless animals and was only able to take home one cat...wish I could take all cats and dogs home needing a forever home...
Very nice place, I saw 2 dogs huddled in the corners. I almost started crying it was so sad. But otherwise its is awesome!
They have a very clean and we'll put together pound here and the workers and more than helpful
Lots of dogs mostly large pit bull mix. A few cats and a handful of smaller dogs. Excellent facility for animals and people.
I FOUND THIS PLACE 1 DAY TO LATE, THAY TOOK MY SERVICE DOG FROM ME TODAY, SHE HAD A STROKE AND WAS GETING BETTER.
Very clean, pleasant shelter.staff is friendly and the critters are great! Please save a life and adopt a pet.
