Sales force was very difficult and did not buy the vehicle I wanted after months of interaction. I was given information from manager of sales person that was found to not be true and price not going to change and as is. Made an offer anyway that was haha in a text. Price was dropped over the follow weeks to a level I would have took but not told by sales person. Then when I contact on price an addition $1,350 was added with no explanation even after requested why it increased. Even texted an iMVP guarantee that was definitely not followed in my situation. Vehicle is still for sale and price just came down again.
I've had bad experiences in the past with them lying to me telling me I needed to fix things that weren't broken on my car. I went in recently to look at jeeps they wouldn't let me leave. I was there for two hours and they haven't stopped emailing me or calling since. They are crazy ex girlfriend level awful and you can't trust them. Go someplace else

Still having tire issues after dealing with them for 4 times. They just bounce around the issue. Once I get my car paid off won't be returning to them.

Sales manager Alex is the most rudest person I've ever met. Very unprofessional and does not know how to communicate. I don't even think the salesman and finance department communicate with each other.They will let you drive off the lot without being financed then ask for the car back without returning your trade in (unless u buy it back) or down payment. Waist of money and a BIG HEADACHE!!@

Worst experience of my LIFE.!! Thanks to BRETON APPLE. I went to him/pilsons to purchase my first car. I got a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I told him this is my first car. I don t know much about cars. So I m trusting his word. Second day of having the car. I came personally to him and told him the brake lights are on he told me to pull the E break back then back down in the light should go off. I did it right in front of him he told me It should go off in a couple minutes and sent me back to the street telling me everything was fine. Third day I was driving by Walmart. The brakes completely goes out I m stomping the brake pad and the car is not stopping. so I had to glide through stop signs and lights from Walmart to Pilson s to get it fixed. I voice recorded the entire situation. He admitted that he told me something wrong and turned around and tried the ask for the rest of $100 of the car note before even apologizing that he set me off. The manager told me that the car went to the full body expection but fail to check the brakes. Mind you this is all on voice recording. It took them a month to fix my brakes because it was a recall on them got my car back after a month and i m driving the brakes are still squeaking and my car kept shifting to the left while driving and when I went over 40 mph the steering wheel was shaking really really bad. I took it right back to Pilson s and of course it fails the alignment test. He said between Pilson s or the other company where they got the new brake parts from failed to check the alignment. Told me that they couldn t fix it till I paid the rest of my carnote l mind you I didn t ask for them to screw up the car even more. I paid the 100$ to the mechanics and more money on top and then Brayton shoots me a text and tells me that he hasn t received any payment he needs it ASAP I came straight up there and told him I paid already he argued with me I went to the back and told them who I gave my money to and she verified that I paid it just shows that they don t even communicate. I ve asked for a receipt and haven t gotten one. I ve called so many times. Telling them I do not feel safe in this car my car has sat in the same driveway for two weeks till I got an answer from Pilson s and I ve gotten nothing because I was so scared to drive it. They just kept tugging me around and just feed me whatever information they could to send me back on my way. And as soon as I started driving my car I was on my way to Mattoon going 50 mph with the traffic with my cousin and The steering wheel locks up so we had to glide to a random person s house and leave my car there. In Mattoon they tried to ask for a toll fee and I refuse to pay because I didn t ask for any of this to happen I wanted a reliable car to get back-and-forth in town to work. I got into an argument with Brighton yesterday and he tells me what do you expect when you buy a used car it s going to have problems. It s not the fact of buying a used car because pill since isn t a rinky-dink dealership this is a worldwide dealership. If someone is telling you that this car is been there a full body expection and everything is running perfect that s what I m going to go by and then when something bad happens they tell me that. After paying for a year i still owe brand new price on my vehicle due to them getting me financing with the highest possible percentage and they lied saying vehicle would seat 8 and only seats 7

Had a great salesman Michael Lauter showed me some nice vehicles and I got a good price for my vehicle plus new vehicle was very good at finding the right vehicle at my price and had a very business like deal but still personal. Will came back and suggest to friends. Bought 2016 Jeep Liberty.
I have had the worst customer experience ever from the Charleston service department. They had my car for three weeks and refused to give me a loaner. They said they would put me on a waiting list. When I did get my car back today it had two different rattling sounds in it that weren t there when I took the car in. The mechanic said it was doing that when I brought the car in. I am so disappointed in their attitudes in the whole service department. They are disrespectful, take advantage of me a senior citizen and lie through their teeth every time I talked to them. What happened to taking pride in your job and doing things right.
I love Pilson Auto Center! This is the 3rd vehicle we've purchased from them and I'm pretty sure this is the only place we'll be buying vehicles from in the future.
The staff is so friendly and they work so hard to get you into a vehicle that actually works for you, they don't just go for the quick sale. The do what they can to help.

I'm looking for jeep wrangler so I happen to see one. Tried to work on the price with them couldn't get them to budge much so I went on to the next. The sales men colton calls me asked if I'm interested. I say have you come down on the price yet. No then why call me? Then he says let me grab my manager after meeting. I guess the meeting went on for 3 days or so cause he did not contact me until it was sold. Let me tell ya one hell of a business your running there. Will never buy anything from them. No wonder why people have had such bad experiences here lol.
Colton Bush got my phone number and won't stop calling it even though I've asked multiple times to be taken off of his call list. He either has a problem with being told no or he wants to be reported for harassment. Either way, I don't live in Illinois and never have. And after months and months of repeated calls from him and even blocking his number, he still calls several times a week and leaves me voicemails trying to get a sale. He seems pretty desperate. I even put in a report on BBB about his harassing calls and he still won't leave me alone. I'd be very leery buying from a company who seems to be ok with this kind of behavior from their salesmen.

Went there looking for a lancer ended up getting a 2016 gt exactly like I wanted, katie was the lady who helped me out she honestly did the best job with finding the perfect Vehicle for me and it didn't take long at all!! I'm very pleased with the whole staff also they are all very kind and willing to answer/help you with anything you need, if your looking for a new/used vehicle I highly recommend you to go to the pilson auto center in Charleston! Don't even try to deal with the internet sales people, they will put you on the back burner hoping a local customer will come in and buy. They need training in people skills. I'm done with them.
Check for rebuilt title before you drive a hr to look at car it does not say it has a rebuilt title bait a switch !!!!! Two weeks later and it's still on there their website it says nothing about rebuilt title
Salesmen are great and very upfront with everything, but the service department needs an entire overhaul both operations and management wise. Extremely disappointed with the past 3 experiences.

pilson sold me a 2017 Ford Explorer with an oil leak in March I gave them 4 chances to fix it. Then I went to Ford who sent me to another dealership to fix it. I still have an oil leak. Its been 7 mos I cant trust their mechanics, Ford says my car doesnt fall under Lemon Law even though pilson had my car back in their shop less tham 24 hrs after I bought it. what was supposed to be my NEW (1st second owner car only 3 yrs old) has been the worst experience I've ever had. Not only would I not recommend pilson, I'm not sure I will ever even drive a Ford again after this.
Save your time and money. They can't math properly, they don't fix major problems with used vehicles or tell you about them. They just let you find out and then wash their hands of it because you signed "as is" without knowledge of major problems.

They tried adding thousands and thousands of added warranties onto our car deal and got caught in a lie. I told them we only wanted GAP Insurance. They told me the BANK had stipulations and required this specific warranty which in return would make our monthly payment go up over $50 a month. We simply did not want this warranty nor pay for it. When I asked who our lender was and asked if they could send me documentation from this lender that they are requiring this such thing they flat out told me they had no documentation to give. Then calls back and says It s actually not the bank requiring this it is us . If we wanted to do away with it they would need more money on the down payment. Mind you.. they even called the BANK to see if they could work out a better deal and calls back saying The bank is showing us some love and lowered it to such and such . They told us they are at a loss with the deal and needed more on the down payment. Watch for those added warranties and don t be afraid to ask for documentation! We did not take their deal and ran.
These guys walk the walk. Not only do they stand by their promise to deliver the best possible service but they go beyond what is expected every time. I ve done as much business with these guys as I ve done with my home mortgage holders. Difference is I do t get near the service from my bank as I do my auto specialists!
They were supposed to help us get financed for a better truck they didn't even call us back about it for 4 days and that was just to tell us that the truck we were trying to get wasn't the right 1 for us we'll never go back there
Horrible experience dealing with this company. They've jerked me around for over a month. My credit rating has dropped many points from all of the credit checks they've run against me. Now after a month, they've decided that they can't get financing for me after I've already been driving this car for over a month. Ridiculous! Don't waste your time!
I purchased my vehicle online, and they delivered it to my home - that part was pretty sweet. But that is where the positives end. The car was delivered without floor mats, and only one key. I called Nelson and he promised he would have a spare key delivered, and he would order a new floor mat set from Ford and have them delivered. Neither of these things happened. They also went out of their way to hide the multiple scratches and dents in the photos, so it was pretty disappointing to see them when the car was delivered. The rear cup holder was missing, which of course was not mentioned. The car was listed as having New brakes which the pads were probably replaced, but the rotors were shot, and I just had to replace. Overall a pretty awful experience, there are plenty of other places to buy a car, this place is NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

I bought a car there and it was a piece of sh@#. Some fat sales manager they had told be if we paid on it well for a couple of years that we could trade out later into something nicer and newer. we owed more on a used car then most brand new cars cost cause of the interest rate. ill never go back.

I called in Tuesday afternoon from my automotive repair shop to ask if I could make a appointment to have a PCM flashed on a 2008 jeep patriot the jeep had a problem with a engine miss fire and I had diagnosed the problem down to the PCM not controling the ground circuit to one of the ignition coil witch is normally not real common but after lots of research and investigation in this certain vehicle it is common. I was told no problem we can perform this I asked if I could just wait because I have had this same task performed on other vehicles many times and it is a hour proccerger. I was told to show up between 1230 and 100 pm on wed I said great well see you there. I showed up at 1240 and walked into the service department checked in and was told to have a seat in the customer waiting room and they would put a tech right on it. Three hours later I was finally called from the waiting room and told that the program was successful. I was charged a 108.00 for the hour job witch I gladly paid for and walked to my customers vehicle to drive it back to my shop the same way I drove it to the shop just hoping that it didn't have a missfire any more and I start the car up and to my enjoyment the engine ran smoothly and seemed to be ok. I put the car into gear and attempt to drive out of the lot and the car would not pull it's self. I walked back into the office and ask that something be done because after reading the ticket the handed me it stated right on it that the TCM was not learned witch means it's programming did not take . They told me the pcm I bought was bad. That was the first mistake because I was told 10 Min prior to this that it was a successful program. If it was a bad pcm why was I not just told this before I ever was handed the keys to drive home. I was not happy so I asked them if I could talk with the tech I was not granted my wish the service writer went out and walked told to tell me that the pcm is no good. So I very mad went back to my vehicle pulled the original pcm off the seat and reinstall it to drive back home with a missfire like I had on the way down. I reinstalled the pcm and the car still would not shift. So I go back in and ask to talk to service manager he told me that he would run the car back threw the program but could not do it today because he already had computer on another vehicle and it would be done first thing in the morning so I called for a ride. 1200 next day have not heard from them called down service says pcm is no good and they reprogrammed the original one. Frustrated I said ok I will be on my way I asked the service writer again do I need to bring my tow truck as my shop is 45 Min away and I really did not want to have to make two trips I was told that the vehicle would run down the road as I drive it there witch I understood it would still have the missfire and just not run to top potential I arrive to pick it up and the jeep will not pull it's self out of the lot. I made another spot with another dealer and if they program this pcm and it works I am posting this entire add in the Evey local paper and with BBB and will tell every ten to twenty card we see a day what kind of dealer ship this is thanks for your time.
Randy McDonald was very helpful and put me onto a 2015 Dodge Ram Crew Cab Pickup and was able to get me a deal I couldn't refuse on the Ram. Truck drives great and I am very pleased with the purchase . I did have two issues and Randy took care of it with no questions asked . Rondall in the service dept. went out of his way to help me with those issues . Duane in parts was very helpful and hooked me up with mud flaps for my Dodge Ram. All in all , I had a very good experience buying this Ram truck.

This review is for the SERVICE center. I work in Ashmore, which is about 10 to 15 minute drive. Every time I have had to have something done to my vehicle even if its an oil change, they come pick it up since my work hours are weird and cant make it over there myself most the time. It has always been back to me by the time i got off work and if they have to keep it over night they bring me a loaner by the time i get off work. That alone says a lot. Any time something has not been right after a repair (which happens to everyone) they come pick it up and drop it back off. Nothing but happy with their service center in Charelston

I didn t end up buying a vehicle from them. I do a lot of long distance vehicle buying as I live in Wisconsin and hate having rusty cars. Most companies don t give me the time of day. When I reached out to Pilson about a used truck for sale Doug was happy to answer my questions and take close pictures for me to see. End result is I passed on the truck but if it wasn t for their honesty in disclosing all issues I would have made a very long drive for nothing. Thanks again and I will be keeping an eye on your inventory to see if something else shows up.

Dropped my car off at 8 this morning. Wasn t in a hurry, so 3 pm was fine. Oil change, tire rotation and rear brakes/roters. Ian called at noontime, car was done early, but, if you would like us to wash it, we will call when done. Absolutely! Ian called around 2, don t have anyone to pick you up, I am on my way. Took my 2016 F150 in and described sounded like starter was failing. Said starter was fine and battery was at little under 50%. Had battery replaced fall 2018, so replaced battery and had oil change for $348.05. Few days later issue recurred said I believe its still starter....the rep there got there specialist and found out it was the starter like I said before. Had to pay $100 to grant my warranty and got it fixed.
I was told two days ago I would get a call back from sales and I've yet to hear anything. It's been almost 2 weeks since my initial inquiry. Obviously my business isn't important
