If I could give Pierre Michel Salon zero stars, I would, because they LOCKED ME IN THE SALON AFTER IT CLOSED without any notice. After I realized I had been locked inside, and nearly having a panic attack, I finally managed to find the dead bolt on the floor and unlock the door. Terrified, I promptly filed a report with the Security Guard downstairs, who was stunned when I explained what had happened.

The following day, instead of apologizing and offering me a refund, they offered me 20% off my NEXT appointment, as if I would ever go there again! No one would accept any responsibility, to make matters worse, they were beyond rude when I explained what had happened.

I was forced to return to the salon in person to insist on a full refund, and after explaining the situation, Pierre argued with me and refused to apologize. Danielle, Pierre's assistant, was the only employee with a conscience and any semblance of sense of customer service. Everyone else should be ashamed of themselves and their employer.

If you want to be forgotten about, enjoy having panic attacks, enjoy false imprisonment, and treated like a second-class citizen, this is the salon for you. If you want to be treated like a human being, GO ELSEWHERE. THE WORST. NEVER AGAIN.

Worst haircut EVER. See the hacked mess in photo. Uneven, poorly cut, total disaster. Avoid David Milligan, he's awful - zero talent.

Stephen Sanna is an amazing hair colorist who has a great personality. Pierre Michel salon is my favorite salon , little overpriced but this is midtown

Talk about perfection! Marie who is an industry icon and primarily focuses in color gave me the best color of my life. I came to her in need of some serious TLC and she took her time, listened to all of my concerns, and educated me on her recommendations/hair trends. I walked out of Pierre Michel looking amazing. Marie is so talented, I recommend.

I saw Marie Sigismondi here and she was the very best!! I wanted to lighten and brighten my hair and she listened exactly to what I asked! It's the perfect color. I will definitely be going back--

Horrible customer service - Horrible color by Amina
Never ever again...what happened: The intend has been to have the hair colored and cut, prepaid by me and worth 608 US$ without tip. I got the coloring from Amina, whom I have called 5 times in advance to ask her to treat this very careful as I have very sensitive hair. Amina did the coloring and as a result the majority of the main hair broke and is now less than one inch long. Amina has not admitted any failure nor has personally apologized. What happened post accident?
I called the salon on Saturday and spoke to the CEO Pierre Quaknine. He admitted the accident, but protected Amina and said she did nothing wrong and is an industry leading specialist. Amina...she should be a gardener...but never ever a color specialist. I explicitly called out her unprofessional behavior, like not explaining the client what she does, not taking the warnings serious and finally not admitting the mistake while silently disappearing. NEVER EVER AGAIN...

I returned to NYC after living in California for many years. Michel, the owner of the salon used to cut my hair back in 1990 and I moved away in 1995.
Michel is one of the best in the world. My recent haircut is exceptional and on a different level than any other haircut I have received in the past 25 years. Michel has a special gift and talent to match a person with the best type of haircut and style that compliments and accentuates their natural beauty.
Michel is a master at what he does and Pierre Michel is a world-class salon that is worth every penny! Treat and pamper yourself to a wonderful new you!

The space is posh but the staff is helpful and friendly. Don t hesitate to visit if you want a fabulous cut and blow out.

Great salon! I got my hair cut by Mia, she is an amazing stylist! I have really curly hair and she was able to cut it no problem and give me a great blow out at the end. I definitely recommend Pierre Michel Salon as well as Mia!

I have had some nightmares when it came to my hair - from my cut, to my color, to just not feeling comfortable. From the moment I walked into Pierre Michel I felt comfortable + welcomed. They took my brassy white blonde hair + transformed it into a beautiful brown with lowlights - Delilah was a dream for color. Antonio was amazing with my cut + blowout, he really made me so happy! I had gone back another time - last minute due to a scheduling conflict + had my hair cut + blown out by Christina, another AMAZING experience. It's just hit after hit here, I love it.

I get on a plane so Jerome can cut my hair and AJ can do my highlights. Its worth every penny!

I frequently come to this salon to color my hair. Aaron my colorist, is very attentive and knows how to give me the exact color I want. He always tries to keep my hair as heathy as possible, and tries to stay away from harsh chemicals. Aaron listens to what I want. He always gives good suggestions.

I've been going to Gus for 16 years. He's wonderful. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my color! Consistently excellent.

Salon sells high quality products and staff is helpful and knowledgable about products.

Horrible customer service!

I ordered 2 rephair capsules on October 8, 2012. After over 15 calls and voicemail to get an updates on my order, I got a mail today with NO products. The mail only has a printout of my order form. Too much headache.... I wish I can talk to the owners and let them know that this company is falling apart. Never had a customer service as bad as this one!
