Phil Dibello Roofing Review

The roof they have done for my building to my knowledge seams adequate, and has had only 1 issue in the year sense its installation. When I have posed concerns they replied and found ways to answer my questions and address my concerns.

I appreciate this more than I can say.

We worked with the salesmen Mike on the roof shingle color for use on our home. Our new roof was completed within our time frame with the color we had chosen. Everyone from the company showed up on time and worked hard. They installed a new roof with new gutters and leaf guards. Looks great! So glad we went with Phil DiBello Family Roofing. Excellent Job.

My experience with Di Bello roofing was very good from start to finish. My wife and I are satisfied customers and have recommended them to several friends/neighbors. We were referred to them by a friend who used them a few years prior. The salesman/project mgr showed up on time to do the estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and pointed out several things about the job that other companies giving me quotes did not do. The price we got was very competitive so we decided to move forward with them doing the job. The crew arrived as scheduled and completed their work on time. They were all very polite and worked hard. They left the work area clean. A few weeks after the work was done we had the first heavy rain storm and noticed a small leak in one of the skylights on the roof. DiBello customer service was responsive, immediately scheduling someone to come out to repair the leak. It actually took 2 tries to fix it but they stayed with it till it was done. We are very happy customers and recommend them without hesitation.

I have been using Phil DiBello for all my roofing needs since the early 90s. And I apologize for the long review, but they are worth it. My 1st home was a small townhome with a flat roof in Dundalk. When I purchased the house they did a great job on the roof, and cleaned up after and I was very pleased. So when I purchased my 2nd home in Middle River and had a leak, I called around because I moved further out in the county and didn't think they would come out this far. So I called Turner roofing and was told that unless I was replacing the roof, they wouldn't come out just to do repairs. When I told the young lady that I didn't know what I needed and possibly would need a new one but i needed someone to tell ME what I needed, I was told they wouldn't come out. So I called Phil DiBello again, and should have called them to begin with, they came right out and patched the roof, and told me I would need a new one soon. After getting the estimate, which was way lower then a neighbor of mine had received from another roofer. I knew I would go back to them. And as soon as the weather cleared I had a new roof and gutters with Phil! One bad storm later and my neighbors new more expensive roof from the other company, was all over our yards. Purchasing what I hope to be my last home in June, I saw a water stain and called them again on the 19th, on the 21st they came right out and, after checking everything, I was told my roof looked great, gutters were fine, and he looked at the very faint stain and was told it looked like an old stain that bled through the paint. So I ask you, how many people would be that honest to say you DO NOT need anything done and it looks great? So if you want a good and honest roofer, call Phil DiBello! You willl not be sorry.

Highly recommend Phil DiBello roofing! They are certified to use Owens Corning roofing system and don t use the lesser grade tar paper. They are great to work with. Cleaned up perfectly.

We just had a new roof installed on our house. The price was reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent. We like the fact that the workmanship has a 10 year warranty on it. Add that to the 25 year warranty on the shingles and you have a very good bargain. Thanks Mike!

Phil DiBello Roofing did a wonderful job tearing off the old slate, putting on a new shingle roof, reattaching the Gutter Helmet system, working around the lightning rods. They did this all in 1/2 a day, then very carefully cleaned up all the slate dust and fallen nails. They protected our shed and plants from damage. They were very hard-working, safe, careful and polite. It is wonderful to do business with such an excellent, affordable and caring family roofing company. I highly recommend this company!!!

I had my roof successfully completed by Phil Dibello over a year ago- the reason I m noting this is we ve had multiple harsh rainstorms with nasty winds this past year, and we ve had zero leakages/ problems, whereas a neighbor who had his roof done at a similar time from an unlicensed uninsured roofing contractor has had multiple problems, as his workmanship was not nearly as good . Phil DiBello Family Roofing installed a new roof about 10 years ago. They did an outstanding job for fair price. The workers were courteous and did an out standing job. Called to make an appointment for estimate on work and because I indicated that it was roof repair and not whole roof replacement. Lady was very sharp and rude by stating we are 8 -12 weeks on work like that! I never stated I was in a hurry regarding my 2nd house. Just not good customer service.....

Called for a quote for a rental property of mine. They showed up 2 days later. Spoke with Phil, good guy, definitely a roofer not a salesperson. They said it would be about a week until roof was done. They completed it before that time even with memorial day weekend thrown in the mix. Out of the 4 quotes I got they were second lowest and not far off the lowest, but their reputation superceded the lowest bid. Very easy to deal with. Certainly will use them again in the future.

Turn around time was quick and the quality of their work is excellent! They were always available when I had a question and the price was very reasonable. When an issue arose, they were quick to resolve it and make it right. I would highly recommend this company!

I had 2 skylights and 4 windows replaced. The custom-ordered windows arrived quickly, and the work was completed sooner than I would have expected. (Everything was done within three weeks.)
Charlie, who did the window replacement, is a perfectionist. He went above and beyond to ensure the finished job looked flawless, and he cleaned up and removed all traces of debris. He obviously takes great pride in the quality of his work. Mike and Nikki at the DiBello office were very responsive and gave timely updates on the window order and the work dates. All in all, this company was a pleasure to work with.

Di Bello Roofing came to give an estimate on repair/replacement for my roof. The gentleman who came (Phil) was not willing to actually get on the roof (which is a flat roof and is easily accessible from the rooftop deck) and only looked at it through a window from inside the house. He said that, just from looking, he could tell that nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done, despite my having told him that there were soft spots when walking on it. Another company came out today and actually spent time on the roof and looked carefully at it - they recommended replacement within the next year or, at the least, temporary repairs to get me through the winter without leaks. Very disappointed in Di Bello's service and lack of attention to detail - maybe they're just not interested in the business?

Great experience working with DiBello roofing. I asked for an estimate because I had a leak, Mike came and took care of it without charging me, since it was a minor fix. He provided pictures and explained the issue clearly.

Mike came in right after we called for the estimate of the new roof. They had it done in one day plus the clean up. Phil is very responsive and responsible he himself came in right away after we called about one of the workers dropped a staple gun and punched a hole through the roof of my gazebo which we appreciated. Overall they did an excellent job with a decent price. They may not be the cheapest. If we have another job we will call them again.

Phil lost a big job by being arrogant and having his ego get in the way.

Well we still have your Roofing sign in our front yard! We are pleased with the new roof but especially with the manner of business. We were told what we needed and given options of roofing and/or skylights . The final cost was a bit more than what we had guesstimated......but that was due to the skylights we were having replaced. I was going to ask if we advertise with the yard sign, would we qualify for a rebate ?!?! Many thanks!

I had this company come out and replace the roof on my house (built in 1957). they did an excellent job. after the work was done they came back out to the house, because i had called about cracks in my driveway from the dumpster. the next day their concrete guy came out and completely replaced the cracked concrete with new concrete. Another excellent job! I would and have referred them to my family and friends. service and personnel were better then 5 stars!!!

Rude sales people I will not bother with them when I need to replace my roof which should be about $8000.

The team came out on Saturday morning about 8:20am, I left out and returned home about 3:30. As I was pulling up, the guys were starting to clean up. They did a great job on my roof and it didn t take all day. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank you Phil Dibello family.

Our experience with Phil Dibello was phenomenal. From the moment they walked in our house, we knew they cared. They were honest and up front in telling us what our roof needed. When it came time for our materials to be delivered and our install date, the girls in the office called us to set everything up. Everyone that worked on our project communicated and answered all our questions. If we could give them 100 stars we would. We refer them to everyone. And they are family owned and operated that was one of the reasons we chose them.

DiBello was referred by a co-worker who has used them for many years.
I got 4 quotes, all reputable companies. When it come to roofing, go licensed only!! All four companies diagnosed the same problem and gave me a written estimate with the identical work needed to repair the leak. DiBello was 50% less than the other companies. Same materials, same work and time. Hundreds less. I am a single homeowner and at the mercy of these companies since I have zero knowledge base on roofing. They are so professional from start to finish. I love family owned business.

They installed my roof over 12 years ago. Roof is holding up well. Just recently had a leak on the front porch. Phil and his team responded quickly, determined it was possibly from wind and repaired without charge. Their service and care for their customers is excellent. I highly recommend.

Recently we decided to replace our 40 plus year old slate roof. We knew that it was going to be a nightmare from pricing a replacement to an absolute disaster to our homes beautiful landscaping. As we looked online for a contractor and watched Phil Dibello's videos on their website we quickly knew they were a firm we wanted to have in for an estimate. Their pricing was compatible with all the legitimate well established firms we spoke to. I think it was their clear knowledge and demonstrated expertise with all types of roofs and our 90 year home s structure was clearly a step above some of the other contractors we interviewed. Speaking to an actual roofer and not a sales guy was clear an advantage as well.

We could not have been more pleased with our decision. The price never went up during construction as most of our neighbors who had this done by other firms did. In fact, it actually came down a bit in the end. Chris our estimator said they like to estimate a little higher to be on the safe side instead of low balling to get the sale then asking for more money after the project was complete. Kudos to the Dibello team on that one. I can t remember too many times when a contractor has stayed true to their quotes these days.

Another hug plus was the actual clean up. As Dibello removed the old slate it was basically just falling apart and creating a huge mess. Their team spent about a quarter of their total time on clean up making sure our yard was spotless. Even after the project was completed a day later a supervisor came with a few hands just to double check the quality of work and clean up any remains that were possibly missed. We didn t even call or suggest this they simply came out and did it on their own.

If you are ready for a new roof please do yourself a favor and make sure you have Dibello come out and give you an estimate. I don t think you will be displeased with the cost or the quality of the Job they do. Being in a tight knit neighborly community of older but beautiful homes we all talk about our contractors. When I mentioned the work Phil Dibello did on our roof not to many others who had theirs done had the same things to say about their roof contractors. My sincere thanks to the Dibello team for clearly being a top notch honest roofer.

From the time that I called everyone was so helpful. The roofer who came to check out my roof explained my options and gave me time to choose . I like their no pressure sales approach. The crew that came took off my old roof and had the new one on before I got home from work. The left my yard clean and my flower beds intact. All in all a great experience.

I have been dealing with a roof that leaks approximately the same time every year when we get bad storms. I ve had multiple people come out and work on it and change the skylight. I called Phil Dibello and they were the ONLY ones who figured out it was a small plastic lid stuck in my drainpipe for the last 5 years or so. I had called and asked for a quote for a whole new roof. Turns out the roof was fine. Instead of taking advantage and putting a new roof on anyway, they got to the root of the problem and didn t even charge me!

I would highly recommend Phil DeBello Roofing..We had a roof put on our home in 2004 and my roof is still in good shape..as of today 11-21-19 when I noticed a small leak above my tub they came right out and checked it out..good news was it was leaking little around pipe on house due to terrible rain storm. Nothing to worry about .they are kind enough to seal around it for me at no cost....Now I say hats off to the best roofing company ever ..The office workers are very helpful..so if you need a roofer then give them a call..

This is the third time I have been lucky enough to use DiBello roofing!! They have been so great to work such and I m so lucky I found this company. They came on time, were able to get our home into the schedule within the week, and fix our roof as needed! This was especially crucial for us as we had a tight timeframe to be able to get it fixed! They were so professional, reasonable, and so knowledgeable about roofs, which put us at ease! Mike the owner was able to send us before and after photos of the job done! From the front office scheduling staff, to the roofers working on the job, we couldn t recommend this company more!!!

My husband and I needed a new roof as we were experiencing leaks in our living room around our chimney. While ultimately it was determined that the issue was the chimney, Mr. DiBello continued to come out to our home to try to resolve the issue. He called whenever it rained to see if we were experiencing leaks and he helped us through the process of having the chimney and fireplace removed. Despite the fact that the issue did not lie with the roof that Mr. DiBello installed, he took a genuine interest in helping us resolve the issue and followed up until we were fully satisfied. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience we had and would recommend Phil DiBello roofing to anyone!

Tim came over and looked over the roof. He asked me what I expected to pay for the roof being replaced. I gave him my best guess. He was 2000.00 lower. Wow!! We signed the contract and as promised they arrived two days later. They arrived on time removed the old roof, replaced two bad sheets of plywood and installed the new roof. By 12:45 they had cleaned up and left. Fast and efficient !!!!

I had roof issues on Christmas Eve and they came out to evaluate the day after Xmas. When selling my house they were willing to do what they could to work with me any way I needed and were always just a phone call away. Their entire staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. My experiences with the entire DiBello team have been nothing short of outstanding. The team came out, evaluated the needed repairs on my house and even completed the repairs without EVER inconveniencing me. I never even knew they were here. Their communication with me throughout the process was exceptional, they updated me every step of the way. The response was good from DiBello. They showed up on time when they said they would. Near as I can tell it looks like a good job. A couple of things kept it from being a 5 starts. I am still finger bits of old roofing in my yard. Also a number of old roofing nails in yard and driveway. None have punctured a tire otherwise rating would have been low. Tried to talk to installation crew but they were not friendly. Could have been a language problem. Finally when I walked around the yard I found a gutter connection laying in some bushes. Fortunately the crew was still here and they reinstalled it.
