For a govt hospital services are good. But Mostly fine just doesn't makes the cut. But really appreciate such great facility available for common people. Doctors are too much helpful. But some nonsense security guard here. He don't make sense how too talk pashant he is totally uneducated person . Else other all service are fine.

What can i say, my relation with pgi has been very long as my father suffered from colon cancer and he has been patient since 2001 but he passed away in 2015 which was a biggest blow to me and my family but i would say pgi is one of the best hospitals in india with doctors doing there md's and taking care of , i wud say , more than 200 patients a day when they attend opd. So they can diagnose the disease in just couple of dates. No doubt you gotta wait for ur turn but hey its a hell of busy place patients coming from j&k to may be mp. I would say instead of going to any private institution where they only care about money not patients go to pgi where these junior doctors are keen to help and learn from their patients and they are hardworking ones .

Huge rush, chaos all over, Long waits for OPD, test & operation. Patients and visitors not treated well. Pros- Does in-depth analysis for your problem and do not refer for unnecessary surgeries.

If you ask about the specialists, PGi is the best hospital

According to me if u have time PGI is the best but trust me it takes alot of time as they don't start the treatment until they are 100% sure what the problem is and that takes time to do. And there are many other options too like Inscol (Healing Hospital)in sector 34 and many other private clinics.

The best govt hospital at north India to be truely apreciated for its nice work. I agree with the crowed at the hospital, but the treatment and services provived by doctors(Drs) can't be ignored. I have seen senior Drs busy with treatment for many hours continuously and teaching juniors at the same time. The behaviors of the Drs are very humble and generous. However, it may take little more time to get cure because of rush at the hospital. Therefore, have some patience.
ICU is little more crowded than the other wards and hence, there should be some other alternates to manage the facilities for the patient at this ward. Thats why giving 4 stars.
At few govt hospitals at HP, particularly at Shimla, Drs are too rude and scold the patients and accompanying persons. They should learn a bit from PGI.
