Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is a premier medical and research institution in Chandigarh, India, consistently ranked in the top among the institutes for medical education in India and is an 'Institute of National Importance'. It has educational, medical research, and training facilities for its students. It is the leading tertiary care hospital of the region and caters to patients from all over Punjab, J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. It has all the latest facilities including all specialties, super specialties and sub specialties. Apart from the clinical services, PGI boasts of training in almost all disciplines of Medicine including post graduate and post doctoral degrees, diploma and fellowships. There are more than 50 such training courses in the institute. Since it is a post graduate institute, it does not have facilities for undergraduate MBBS courses.

But for patients , it gets crowded , There is a commission system, doctor - pharmacy nexus and due to crowd , special care is not there for a petient.

The Gynecologist department not guide the patients properly, where they have to go for test and in test family member will be compulsory or not, patient know when the same have on test , and they told today test will not done, even massy test will done by 30 days delay because of there uncomplete information, Doctors please know we all are paying tax and all then your salaries come , Even treating gynecology is very long process , Mr. Dean please check over this matter, if you want rating high,then treat well ,,,,,,

World class hospital with all amenities, though huge rush due to cheap cost of treatment and very capable doctors and nurses... You can take online appointments for doctor's visit, but still have to wait long, but still one of the best in india, sharing only few hidden architectures of the hospital here..

Best doctors . Be little patient with the process but you will get best treatment.

Patients Do come here at 8 am at the Cards and New files are made between 8 to 11 am only

Worst doctors...dr ashok gupta is a worse doctor...he will not listen to patient..dr ashok misbehaves the patient...dr ashok threw the report..very worst doctor i have ever seen..dont ever go in pgi

the only thing to worry is THE QUEUE...

Please please please never ever go to this hospital for critical cases...we got our patient to pgi emergency...and it takes them complete four months to diagnose what the real problem was.Senior doctors dont entertain emergency cases...they rarely visit there..and people who are there for study will examine your patient very poorly with little knowledge they have.
I lost my mother due to poor treatment.
Only if they had diagnosed the liver disease when we admitted her .
They will not do any prevention...rather they will wait to get symptoms more worse then they will start their job.
They would have prevent cirrhosis getting worse...ascites...then esophageal varices.
But they referred us to hepatology after four months when she vomited blood.Prior to that they were not able to tell us the liver issue.
When her abdomen and feets swollen due to fluids...they told us its not fluid...its gas.
You can go there for minor issues(However they will wait for it to get into a major one.)
When we took my mother there...she had infection in her stomach and high fever.
And within ten months she died from liver failure.
Save your loved ones and do not depend completely on this so called hospital PGIMER chandigarh.
If you feeling your patient's condition not getting any better just move out from there.

Eye department is best. Doctors are good. Give sufficient time to patients and very neat and clean place.

PGIMER is a famous medical college of North India. The medical services in this institution are very good and cheap. This is situated on Madhya Marg in Sector-12. In front of PGIMER, there is Punjab University in Sector-14 and behind PGIMER, there is PEC University of Engineering (PEC).

Worst hospital till date, even if a patient is dying they will say "mai kya karu?" Staff and doctors have no manners and etiquette. All you have to do is wait. In case of emergency please don't ever think of going here. There are no attendants, you will have to carry your patient all over and handle everything. Only reference can save few seconds of your life. Better go to a nearby private hospital and let them empty your pockets if you care for your patient. Sharing my experience from neurosurgery department, their junior to senior most doctors are pathetic. They are always so frustrated of being in there position. They have no sense of social service in them and are just fulfilling there purpose of having a better resume.

It was badly shocking experience many times whenever i got there in new OPD, Actually Dr.s were good But The receptionsit And specially guards behaviour wasn't cOoperative ,I remeber i arrived there even at 8: 00 like in morning and when the Opd's rooms open then there is no care for Regularity .Guards collect Your receipt in random manner noone care who came before And it happened again & again So i left treatment there .I listened a lot about PGI but reality was Quite bad than Fame of this hospital.Guards will treat you like they have control over you .

Pgi is one of the highest visited hospital for chronic deseases

One the best hospital and medical research institute of North India. But very crowded and doctors are over burdened because it alone caters patients from five states and one UT i.e. Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh itself.
We need more institutes like PGI to provide quality public health facilities to the people.

Good as for as medical services are concerned..but due to heavy rush it's too difficult to even stand there..even the online registration is not totally helpful as after registration one has to stand in que to confirm the registration...even further the employees on the registration counter do not know how to attend online application..... doctors r quite good and helpful

Best medical facilities available in Chandigarh. Parking available in front of every building, multi story parking installed recently. The place is neat and clean, thus well maintained in terms of hygiene and beautification. Medical shops available at PGI, provide medicines at diacounted rates.

North Regional for ordinary people to treat almost every disease top government hospital. It's like AIMS level across India. All sections of society are well planned and pocket friendly. Resurrection also very open and allowed to sit. Can be taken advantage of private facilities on demand.

A single thing U dont want in a hospital is a queue. But here queue is endless. Have to stand for ages for your turn just for registration. Disgusting.

PGI Chd. is best of the best medical institute & Medical university, but duo to bad management patients stand couple of hours for thier registration card. PGI online registration website is only a drama. their is no include many department like cardiology etc. if PGI management read my comment plz make proper online registration website....n also make a android app of PGI. tnx

Doctor keeps the patient from one doctor to the other doctor, no one cares about what the condition of the patient is from the morning to the afternoon only if you have to eat only then you have a very bad experience in this hospital. I have been here since last 7 days only The problem is handled. There is nothing to tell. You can just wander. There is no one to tell. The doctor does not have the right to talk to any employee any light Does not support
