This is a farm run by a family that is truly passionate about agriculture in every way. This farm is a treasure that reflects the dedication of the people who work there in the quality of its produce and the intimate way in which it allows you to come closer to the land. You won't regret supporting this business.

We've gone here every year for three years now, since we moved into the area, to get pumpkins for Halloween, and we've been super happy to support local business and it's a fun place for the kids. But this year they decided to charge $5 per person to even go in. There's four of us, so that's $20 on top of the price of the pumpkin. So we went to the patch down the street that doesn't have a $5 entrance fee and got our pumpkin there. This seems like a ridiculous move.

We went with the family this saturday. My kid tripped and hit his head on one of the wheelbarrow that was missing the rubber part to the handle and had a deep gash on his forehead that went all the way to his skull, we left in a hurry to the hospital to get him stitched up, there was so much blood. We left our number to these people and these people have not even offered any type of help and I doubt they even care. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!

We love this place. We are so lucky to live right up the street! All year we have enjoyed giant, fresh berries, the sweetest corn ever, and now a gorgeous christmas tree. This is an amazing place whether you're just a couple or a whole family.

This is such a charming place! They had a great selection of Christmas trees we didn t go looking for a tree until a week before a Christmas and we assumed we d be out of luck, but they had such pretty trees to choose from and gave us a great price for the tree we loved. Loved the shop as well, great local products. William was really kind to us, he helped us get our tree and tie it up on the car. We can t wait to come back for next year s tree! (And next summer s veggies)

Super disappointed!! We got a groupon for harvest time (October) and when we got there they told us we couldn't do some of the few activities they had and then we only got to pick a tiny pumpkin from a small box in the store. So from what we paid it was sooo not worth it and that was with a coupon!!!

Fulfilling the fall dream in an urban setting. This great farm has a great atmosphere and really is a great kickoff to start the fall and October vibes. Need a pumpkin? Select from a vast variety with a handy wheelbarrow. Need a scene for a scenic photoshoot? Contact your photographer asap because this is it. Tractors rides, feeding farm animals and apple slingshots for a great family night out. Not my first time here and definitely not my last time.

Fantastic local produce, meat, and eggs, and so fun for the kids! They love to visit the goats and other animals. Love all the events they put on throughout the year too- pumpkin patch, Christmas, food trucks, etc. There's also some great unique items (jelly, sauces, honey, etc) perfect for gift baskets.

I appreciate that the Peterson Family has kept agriculture alive in our area!
Coming from an small town with an agricultural background, I crave fresh produce which is hard to find in an urban area. I appreciate the hard work and dedication this family, their farmers & other vendors have done to help preserve agriculture and provide high quality products year round.
I only buy my Honey from them and will drive 30 minutes out of my way for their Carmel s!
Keeping agriculture alive!!! Keep doing what you do Peterson s Farm, you are needed!!

Fun, almost magical atmosphere, but I cannot justify paying $100 for a precut Christmas tree. I'm all about supporting local families and farmers, but they are going to price themselves out of business. They claim to charge $10/ ft, but we were hard pressed to find a tree that was less than $85.

I purchased 8 groupons and 3 adults and the grandkids headed to the farm for our first visit there. Since it was UEA weekend we assumed the hayride and apple sling would be open for the day and we arrived at 11am. The kids were really disappointed to find neither were available. Since we live far, the cute girl in the store allowed us to turn in tickets for store credits since we live far from the farm and couldn't come back for the late hours of availability. My daughter tried to use the left over tickets today, and found out the same attractions aren't open until 5, and the tickets can't be traded for anything. I understand the hours were listed in fine print, but would have been nice to enjoy a day event with toddlers. Didn't get our money's worth. Disappointed. Susan

I. Love. This. Place! I love the idea of an urban farm. It brings together the community and there is nothing better than shopping locally. We always make sure to support Petersen's! We attend Food Truck Friday often, as well! And their holiday activities are so much fun!

Went with the family the other day for the pumpkin patch and festival. Everything was perfect and the kids had a great time. They removed the 5$ entrance fee too which is great news for everyone. I spent the same amount on goodies for the kids and I was glad to have spent it.

We've been coming to Petersen's for years. I was very sadden to learn that when we showed up to pick our pumpkins this year, they are now charging an entrance fee!! They gave us some line about how pricey it is to run a farm in the city but seriously, we felt nickeled and dimed to death this year. Price of pumpkins went up substantially too. Disappointed for sure. I would gladly pay more for the pumpkins but you should prepare the community for an entrance fee. I could have bought a pumpkin at Smith's for cheaper and same quality. Shame! Petersens could have handled this infinitely better! We will not be back next year.

The grass feed beef and goat they have in their store front is amazing and priced very well. The cow t-bones are amazing and thin cut, the flavor is rich. They just proceeded a goat and i bought all the chops, man i hope they cut up some more goat. goat chops taste kinda like a lamb chop except with more pungent flavor and the meat fiber is almost chewy like lamb, but near flacky like good tuna... ok, i cant explain it, you gotta try it!!

2 Children were injured in the "overflow parking" for the October Pumpkin Patch events. They were rope lined on their necks from the make shift ropes in the parking lot. There is no lighting in the parking lot. After talking to the manager they stated, "they have no plans to light the area up as they have had no other injuries in 10 years". Sad that it would take a lot more children getting hurt for them to feel like it was important.

We went during October and took our seven month old. He had a blast in the tiny corn maze. It was a very cute place. Pumpkins were $.35 a lb. I don't know how much it would appeal to older kids but I will probably take my son again next year. It's nice that a lot of the activities are free.

The animals at the farm are super friendly and will come right up to the fences. There were some cute swings all throughout the property. And my son LOVED the corn pit. He played in there for almost an hour!

EXTREMELY disappointed. Their website has wording that led us to believe that they have trees to cut. We drove 45 minutes to come to the farm and when it was apparent that this was not the case, I tried to point this out to a representative and he didn't care. He was actually quite rude when I expressed my frustration about the disappointment. Since we'd brought 9 kids out this far, we decided to go on the wagon ride. Hands down the lowest quality ride we've ever been on. Nothing to see but cheap little strings of lights and we were forced to listen to a ridiculous and poorly told story by the guide. Waste of money and time. I'm a go with the flow person and rarely have negative experiences just because I am easy going, but this experience really frustrated me! Beware. There are much better places to go!

This place is a complete waste of time money grab. We thought it would be fun to go to the pumpkin patch and buy pumpkins for the fall, but they charge an admission fee of $5 per person just to get in and make a purchase.

Like the place on Friday's. But dissappointed this year to see the $5.00 admission to the patch. I can understand charging or buying tickets for the activities, but to have a small area with a fraction of pumpkins to choose from for people that come only to buy pumpkins seems greedy that we cant fully find the perfect pumpkins in the larger patch. Truly hope you revaulate this decesion next year.

We have gone here every year for Pumpkins and quite often we go for Christmas. This year they started charging an extra $5 for admission. We are a family of four - so essentially $20 to get in. Needless to say, we didn't buy any Pumpkins or purchase anything in the store. Typically we spend 50 - 80 a visit. We only spent 29.50 tonight and won't be returning for Halloween any more. The amenities aren't worth charging $5.00 for. And increasingly year after year it's more Urban.

What a cool place! It's just a legit farm right there, and they harvest the food and sell it in the store. Doesn't get any fresher or more local than that.

Everything we've ever purchased from here has been wonderful. Plus, it feels good to support a local farm and eat healthy fresh foods.

Beautiful farm, great visit to get "away" from the city for a bit without actually leaving the city at all. You can visit with their animals: chickens, turkeys, friendly barn cats, even emus, and a large collection of delightful goats, including adorable babies. You can wander and look at the fields and hoop houses, and they've got a bunch of fun stuff set up for kids like swings and tractors they can climb on. They have beautiful flowers growing and it looked like some sort of deal where you can cut your own bouquet. Then they have a beautiful farm store where you can buy products grown or made in the farm itself, as well as other local products from honey and meats to salsa and spices. Great selection and a lot of the sort of stuff you're not going to find at your local grocery. I couldn't exactly afford to do a ton of shopping there but I found plenty of stuff to take home, and it'll definitely be a go-to for special treats for me. I'll be back for sure.

Maybe my favorite thing was the beehive that's actually kept inside the farm store itself... you can watch the bees going about their bee business through a clear hive wall, and they've got a cool tunnel through the wall to go outside.

A special place in the middle of the suburbs. We've been going to this farm for pumpkins and Christmas trees. They also have a large and bountiful market.

Last season we showed up after hours to pick up our Christmas tree and they were nice enough to open the lot to us and our kids. The setting, animals and friendly staff make it a worthy part of our family traditions.

My family and I just went today for the first time and it was so much fun. There are no entrance fees which is great! There are so many fun pumpkins to choose from and the prices are quite reasonable.

They had some fun activities such as slides, wagon rides, and an apple shooter. These activities cost a small amount to participate in but also quite reasonable. I believe it was $1.00 per ticket. My little one really enjoyed the animals as well they had many cute goats!

It is also just a beautiful spot, they had lots of cute swings set up and some fun spots for family photos. We will come back again!

Fun little farm. They do a pumpkin patch every year that we usually attend. Friday nights from Spring to late Fall are food trucks on the farm. We'll do that from time to time. Additionally, they sell their produce, eggs and some meat. Great little place for what looks like an unassuming farm from the highway.

My first time there it was only four days before Christmas. My kids and my grandmother were looking for a Christmas tree. When I initially called over the phone I was quoted a complete different price for the trees and times for Santa. The only reason why I went because I was told there was a Santa Claus and goats to pet so I thought that would be nice for the kids. I was told they would be open till 9pm. I got there a little before 8:30 Santa was leaving. Although Santa was really nice a did go out of his way to talk to my kids and allow me to take a picture. We were pretty much the only ones there.. we were not greeted. When I finally found someone outside to help us I wanted to buy a tree. There were only a few left. They were very small and short and a little discombobulated.. They wanted $100 for a tiny tree that was leftover that nobody wanted and again only four days before Christmas... then I was trying to see how to pet the goats or whatever and that didn t happen either nobody helped me. So I drove alll the way down there for nothing the kids had no fun at all.. But I had to buy a tree and the WORST PART is when we took the tree home I couldn t even help the kids decorate it nor my 3 year old because the smell of goat poop just illuminated my house!!! The smelll was awful!! The whole point for my family to get a real tree is to smell the pine smell not goat poop!! Worst tree everrrr it stunk so bad!!! and they wanted waaayyyy too much money for their trees!!! I will neverrrr everrrr go back.

My son went to their preschool and I plan to enroll my next ine when he is old enough. The program was excellent. He got a great balance of academic learning through play and got the added bonus of applying farm themes like animals and produce to his curriculum and outdoor experience! Hilarie and Luke are amazing people who own the farm. They try involve the community in so many ways.
