I had a recent conversation with Dan Olson regardi...
I had a recent conversation with Dan Olson regarding the forced contract with limited providers for my septic system - he said there were six in Iowa.
Dan Olson was rude, arrogant, and his attitude was of one with superior muscle to force a home owner to enter into a contract.
The contract that he is forcing is one that is for an inspection of my septic system. It costs about $500 per year for an inspection. The inspection for my system comes from a private business (The one I am forced to enter into) and consists of simply lifting the lid and looking at the system -- NO MORE THAN THAT.
I tried to explain that being forced to enter into a contract when there is not a market place in which to negotiate that contract was basically against the law. In his arrogant manner he said "What Law" I said I would contact the Attorneys General Office and he said "contact whoever you want" "Have them call me."
The DNR should reconsider the employment contract of this person, Dan Olson. He should not be allowed to talk to or treat the citizens in this manner. He should not be an employee with the State.
