Pergola NYC Review

This place deserves one star and it's too much for it.
I came here with my friends for one eve the lady at the front was on the phone didn't care to assist us sit down the second that we sat down we got a rude server who was in a hurry didn't pay attention our order. We literally ordered 600$ worth of hookahs, drinks & appetizers to realize that they told us they won't refresh our coals for the hookah's they want us to refresh drinks but they won't change the coals and the only reason we came here was the hookah in the first place. I asked to speak to a manager who is never available to speak to. I spoke with an assistant lady who said that I'm allowed to sit here for only 2 hours and if i exceed it i can't get fresh coals. Not to mention how rude the assistant was as well.
Train your people & make sure you tell you customers the rules you play with .. most important don't be rude to someone who comes here to pay with their money

Chill vibe. Hookah was expensive but drinks reasonably priced. Good time.

I was in this place for company party. The ambience is really good. I always pass by in front of it and It looks very authentic, but my visit was sort of disappointment. The food was mediocre and the staff was nice. I won't go to this place again, just because the food was not good.

Really great place. Very delicious food and amazing hookah. Drinks are on point. Our waiter Mona was beyond great, checked up on us every few minutes despite the fact that the place was very busy. My new go-to place in the city. Highly recommend this place.

Hookah was great, bouncers were super nice, and so were all the patrons.

This is the best place with the best vibes. There are so many beautiful people to be around and spend your time with. You should definitely order some food and enjoy hookah as you relax.

Great vibe, nice place for hookahs however their food aren't that good. However it's still a cool spot to chill and smoke hookah

My girls and I came here to celebrate a bday. Had a great time and spent over $600. As soon as the bill is paid they were telling us to get up so they could seat another group, and we weren t even done. We still wanted to order more hookah and drinks. Completely unprofessional and will never go back here

Great drinks and good vibes.. wait they serve food??? Lol I've been here a million times and have never eaten here. Next time im close I'll come early and let you know.

Haven't been here in a minute but such a beautiful lounge/ restaurant. Never had food here but drinks and music have always been great! Staff is awesome Bartender , Front Door , bathroom attendant are so nice! Good vibes here for sure. Crowd is good too...it's a nice mix.

Beautiful decor. Great place for hookah and drinks. Service wasn t as great as the first time. Waiter was smoking hookah with another table. Didn t bring napkins or utensils, had to wave her down to order drinks, she wasn t attentive at all.

Wow nice vibe I felt I was in Vegas the muisc is upbeat club theme, dim atmosphere, with rustic decore, food was excellent, good size portions, however the appitizers are a little small. The hookah was very good smooth with hot charcoal always near by, service was excellent I never had to ask the to refill my glass of water! Gets busy very fast we came around 4 by 6 it was full. Highly recommended

Place and food are good but service is really bad. They have an attitude problem starting from their bouncer to our waitress!

The hostes at the front had nasty attitutudes the Asian woman along with the other 2 blonds with curly hair. If their frustrated with their jobs then they should find another one.

Great place to smoke hookah and have a good drink. High prices, as in all of Manhattan.

Pergola - Delicious Mediterranean restaurants. Very continent location close to train station. The restaurant is relatively spacious.

Two of us had lunch and I went with lentil soup and Chicken Milanese. While both of them were delicious, it is important to note that Chicken Milanese was simply delicious. Probably the best I have had in a very long time. Service was excellent, prices reasonable. Will definitely stop again for lunch.

Fries are delicious, didn't have much to eat here but the drinks were great as well. Fun after work location but definetly recommend you make reservations.

The Hummus is home to try. The dishes are generous portions and good quality.

Place is basically a bar with tables, loud and expensive recommend not to go unless you're going for hookahs, if you order food it'll take forever and you'll have to sit beside the smoldering heat of the 2 hookahs next to your table.

This place is a stuck up piece of garbage. They deny patrons because they don't look rich. They treat you like a second class citizen at the door. Its like one of those places in the movies were the bouncer stops you at the door and asks you if you make enoug money to come in. It had people outside pretending to be cool glam and hip taking selfies looking like desperate idiots. Females looking to latch on to any rich guy going in. A real scum bag rich snob sort of place. I will never walk past this place again.

Good place to have fun at but there's a lack of dance floor and dancing overall. Good hookah place but they have a bit of a dress code just wear a button down and you'll be fine.

Really good food and service. You must make a reservation at least on the weekends. It gets really crowded but great vibe.

I'm not a big hookah guy but this bar is fun. The drinks are good and it's a great atmosphere. It gets very crowded so get there early if you want a table. Be ready to spend some money because this isn't an inexpensive place. But you'll have a great time and enjoy your night out at Pergola.

Kind of pricey and the mandatory hookah for a table takes away from the whole smooth aesthetic but the food is delicious and the drinks are high quality

How are you gonna treat your customers as second class citizens then charge a fat tip

This bouncer was very disrespectful and racist. First he asked for our ID, and inquired as to whether we had a reservation. He answers that it is reservation only and proceeds to let a party of three Caucasians in without a reservation . FAM do not go to this place!

Went there for the first time last night. Super cool bar with a great selection of drinks and hookah flavors (if you're into that).
Music was cool, but maybe a tiny bit too loud.
Definitely worth a second visit!

The food is great here. The staffs are attentive and friendly also helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and chill. Their cheesecake is really good nice and creamy and delicious. Overall great experience and food is great.

Have always had an amazing experience here. The staff is lovely, the food is amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the hookah is super smooth. Every time I've gone, whether for lunch or dinner weekday/weekend - the atmosphere and music has always been great. Highly recommend!

We went to this restaurant and we tried the lamb and chicken. The food was delicious. They serve Peroni if you dont want to drink the traditional beers..

The night I went it was very crowded but crowd was excellent.

Food menu isn't very extensive and that's when you know there's some quality stuff coming out of that kitchen! On the pricer side of life so worth a couple of visits a month, I reckon.

Try the hookah with Hennessey base. There's one with a champagne base too. Quite an interesting flavour profile.

When I got there it wasn't too busy. The rooftop was not yet open, I guess due to it still being a bit chilly in April. The menu was not impressive, I guess I was expecting a bit better. They offer hookah if you're into that stuff. The space itself was pretty big.

Had the worst experience at this place. Just because we weren t paying extra for a high table, they sat us at a table right next to the restroom and trash cans, even though there were plenty of tables open. The girl waitress with long black hair was so rude and unprofessional. There are better places to smoke hookah where they respect you regardless of whether or not you have cash to throw. And no AC there anyway. Never going back. Most disrespectful waitresses.

Worse experience ever. After been neglected from the server that didn t even brought water, and the complain was responded with no care or any form of apology, I then received a girl, that didn t even introduce herself and told that I have to leave the table because I had 2 hour limit to eat and drink. I just ordered a drink and she suggested to go to the bar to finish it. Because she wanted to have a table open for other reservation. This is terrible she didn t have the customer service to offer us the drink that was ordered.

Service isn't great, my friends and I booked a table but we were asked to move tablea after an hour. The waiter was never around for us to order food or drinks.

We have made several attempts by calling the staff at Pergola (5 times to be exact) for a surprise 30th birthday and setup a reservation for about 18-20 people. As we would all be coming from Connecticut I expected some kind of customer service. I have been there several times, and I mentioned this to the other guests on our plans, but then we got nothing but horrible customer service. 2 of us have left a combined 5 voicemails without any returned calls. This has really put a bad taste in my mouth on how you don t care about your customers. Unfortunately it looks like I ll never be visiting here again.

Good energy good drinks decently priced everyone seems to be having a good time for the most part it's really casual dressed hookah is really good too

Good Mediterranean food, but be prepared for hookah smoke to be blown in your face while eating and a bit pricey.

The atmosphere was very nice, but the service was ehh and the hookah was very hard to pull. I would go back again to see if it was just a one off experience.

I think pergola is the nicest middle eastern hookah bar and resturant in the city very upscale owners are very friendly and they understand quality.... there is tons of places in NYC but pergola is always our 1st choice we love partying there and dinning too .... thanks to all the team for making all this happen

Hookah and Mediterranean food in the heart of the city

Horrible. Hostesses are super rude. Managers don't care to accommodate us. Every time we come , we spends a lot of money without even checking the bill. All we want is to be treated right,but today they were exceptionally rude. Never come back.

Pergola is a decent time. It is not worth the pricetag of partying here though.

Awesome place, amazing food and cool ppl. Try the chicken kebab. You won't go wrong. Also, Rita makes the place come alive. :)

The Falafel and the Mediterranean Meatballs were both delicious. We also had the Pergola Nights hookah which had a very great taste to it. The service was fantastic and very attentive.

Good food and staff very cordial during dinner time

Bridges the gap between bar and restaurant with delicious tapas and dinner plates with hookah upstairs, and a great bar downstairs. Reservations are definitely a good idea - they get packed!
