The atmosphere was very nice, the servers were great and the food was delicious..

Popped by there for brunch last Sunday. As it was almost 4 the hostess said we should order at the bar just to make sure we got the brunch order in before she seated us. The woman at the bar was incredibly rude and told us to just go sit down and we'd be served when the server came over. I tried to explain to her what the hostess had told us but she was having none of it. The hostess was really apologetic and said she'd get a server straightaway. Our server turned up and promptly legged it as soon as he gave our menus. He turned up 10 minutes later when it was actually just p past 4. He then told us we couldn't order so I told him in no uncertain terms that we were seated during brunch and we asked for it straightaway and he had disappeared for 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn't busy in the slightest. He then went to the kitchen and the kitchen said they would do brunch. I had a goat cheese omelette with arugula which was bland and I asked for a side of toast which turned up with no butter. They don't keep salt and pepper on the table. I asked our original server for salt which I never received. The only reason I got butter is because I asked another server who stated I had to wait for our server. I was pretty insistent so she got me some. The place had five tables full out of twenty so I'm not sure why it was so hard to be served. My friend ordered an espresso and asked for it twice and never received it. The table next to us was being fawned over, probably because they had ordered more. I never not leave a tip but neither of us did. We wrote our reasons on the receipt and left. I'm not sure how this place is still open. Mediocre food, terrible service - the only saving grace is its location and decor itself.

I don t typically write reviews, but our experience at Pera is review worthy. The food was ok, nothing special.
Our reservation was at 7:30 for 8 people. We ate dinner and the waiter brought dessert menus. At the same time a host walks over to us (around 9:15) and tells us we have to speed it up because there is a 9 pm reservation waiting for our table.
Totally unacceptable and rude. Will never step foot in that place. The waiter was great, no complaints there.

Finest spot to buy some food when in a rush. The service is prompt, prices are affordable, great ambience. Will come back again

Extra star only because we didn t have to experience this sober because of the great cocktails (peach + ginger sangria a must). The downfall of our night started when we had to wait 45 minutes for a table, even though our 8:15 reservation More

Waiters are a bunch of losers unfriendliest service i have ever seen

Food and service wasn't up to standard what I expect.

Delicious meal, massive portions. The BEC burger was huge with potato chunks so a strategy is needed. The croissant french toast was delicious and sweet but wasn't significant in taste. Got a sangria pitcher for 4 servings and was amazing. Staff was nice and kind and fast.

Great place for groups. Sit outside if you can. Fair amount of vegetarian selection

When I complained the eggs on my Shakshuka were hard boiled, the waiter gave me major attitude.

These people made my day! We went here with a family of seven and we couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. The service was good, the drinks were great and the food was amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone that loves to have a great night and a meal to never forget. It is a little bit more expensive than we're used to in the Netherlands, but it was absolutely worth it. I would definitely come back here!

Pretentious bar and wait staff. Terrible and slow service. Left after not having been served for 15 minutes.

Nice place ... but my friend worked there and the chef treated him very badly.

Love Pera! Went for brunch and it was great! The brunch food was delicious and everyone was super attentive. They have a big outdoor patio that is beautiful and lots of room between tables with umbrellas and fans. A reservation would be a smart move as it got busy later in the day.

Went here for a wedding reception and the food and service was outstanding. I was a very happy wedding guest.

Don't bother making a reservation. Even if you do, they won't seat you down.

Tried this place already with a friend and I am hooked ever since. I liked the awesome atmosphere and delightful food and beverages. Kudos.

Worst dining experience I have ever experienced in NYC. Jade was awful, rude, inconsiderate and flat out asked us to leave. We were sitting outside enjoying drinks and appetizers. An accident occurred, to an adult in our group, and our drinks ended up on the floor and it was a bit of a mess. But like I said, it was an accident and it was in relation to an adult in our group, nothing to do with the three kids that were with us. As a matter of FACT, I often get compliments when out to eat with my kids because of their good behavior. This particular evening was no different. After the accident at our table, instead of coming over to check on us, Jade came over to complain about one of my children. I expressed that his behavior was absolutely fine and she insisted it wasn t. Again, I pointed out that as the mother s child I didn t see any issues (which there wasn t) and she then asked us to leave and said she would get our check. I have been a mother for 11 years and we go out to eat often, very often, NEVER have I experienced what I did at this restaurant and with Jade. When I said to her that I hoped the day she has children no one treats her the way she treated us, she said she was calling the police. Laughable! So of course I said, please do. Imagine how idiotic it must be to call the police for literally absolutely NOTHING. BTW, I m pretty sure she never called them, she was just being rude and self absorbed. In any case, I will be calling to speak with the general manager about Jade. On the way home my 9 year old said to me: New York City is beautiful but the people kind of suck. Thank you Jade for representing NYC in a horrible way and for tarnishing a 9 and 11 yo perception of such an amazing city.

Great food, lovely outside seating places. Great service too.

We take a chance The manti with garlic sauce was wonderful. Same as the green fetuccini, the calamari with a delicious sauce and the chicken rolls. For dessert, pear pie with ice cream and creme brulee de pistachio. The attention is very good and the place warm.

This is a great location with the open air garden you can dine in. Most of the food is great however i was extremely disappointed with the hummus and the Creme Caramel. Both were very bland and flavourless.

Everything was so delicious, we sat outdoors which was awesome - we lucked out with the weather . Just love how restaurants dinning is being totally redefined right in front of our eyes. I think it s a fantastic time for the people who have learnt how to ignore the NOISE.

Went here last night for my birthday. Unfortunately the bald host was rude and nodded us in the direction of my table rather than walking us there. Besides that, the food was average at best lacking depth of flavor and salt. They look fancier than their offerings :/ I gave it two stars because I liked the mussels.

Had dinner at this place on a Thursday evening in December. We were a group of nine and Pera is the ideal setting for a group. Service was great and food was tasty. Would definately go again.

Amazing food, friendly service, nice crowd and terrace, music is great. Overall upscale for an affordable price point. I can t say anything wrong about this place will definitely go back.

This was an amazing date pick and I definitely want to go back to the space during the summer so we can sit outside and also so I can try the food. What I can say is that we had an amazing viognier while we were there and the rest of the wine list looked amazing as well.

Great outdoor patio for outdoor dining. Drinks are delicious. All the appetizers are fantastic, if not a little on the smaller side.

The food is incredible here and I highly recommend you try them out. The atmosphere is amazing and the service was one of a kind.

This place is a perfect spot to come for a casual dinner or host a birthday party.
I was here for my birthday party and reserved the table for eight. Burak, the manager who helped me to book the table and make all the arrangements was extremely helpful.
I would recommend this place 10 on 10 not just for the amazing food and the amazing location but the amazing service offered by every single person who works here.
Since the beginning the communication was so easy and I was able to host a wonderful dinner because of that.
Burak, not only took care of all the requests I had but also went above and beyond to give me a great experience on my birthday. He reserved a table for me in the best part of the restaurant And also printed customised menu for me.

Thank you so much and I would definitely visit here again.
If you are planning to host a party or just casually have a dinner with friends and family this is the spot.

The management is rude towards customers. Sat at the bar for 20 minutes before someone came and gave me menu. Come for happy hour or it just isn t worth it. Sad to realize that such a great place just isn t welcoming to customers.

Rats everywhere in the outside patio. Yes this is New York City, but this was extreme.

What a experience!!! Great drinks and food. It was really busy but Alex gave us amazing service.

Very enjoyable meal, hummus was excellent and the Steak Frites was one of the best I have ever had, especially the pita they put below the steak to absorb the marinade and juices

terrible service..I ordered a latte macchiato but seems like they don t know the diffrence between latte macchiato and Espresso.

Good place with nice food and atmosphere little pricey but it worth it
