Fantastic place lots to see and do around area great helpfull staff
The Raven is really nice and cosy. Food is delicious. Bit pricey but you are in an isolated area and the portions are reasonably larger as well. Beautiful scenery around and the feel is very log cabin
Wonderful stay. Everything about it was charming and perfect. We went for walks, saw an incredible number of wildlife up close (unique experience), sat by the warm log fire reading books, and had delicious food in the tavern. Staff were lovely
We stayed here for two nights. They only had one staff at the reception. Check in took so long. We tried to call reception from our room later that day, we were on hold for 20minutes. Limited to no mobile service at the lodge. No internet available unless you come to the main lodge. They block a lot of websites.
Restaurant is alright, tavern is pretty good. Friendly staff at the restaurant and tavern.
Walks around the lodge were really good with wild animals.
Great view, right next to pencil pine cascades! Excellent service and cute wombats! Room is clean with a lovely fireplace! Do join the free guided tour for enchanted trail!
Great experience here. Expanded hike met with white out at Marion's Lookout. Wombats. After, came to Cradle Mountain Lodge hoping for beers and burgers and got exactly that with more. It was the Australian Rugby final thingy and folks were gathered and cheering. Recommend very much so.
Definitely worth to stay if you want to see wildlife animals, such as wombat and wollby. Breakfast are included, and have various food. Location is great for many cradle mt short walks, and the interpretation centre is just 200m away. I would love to come back again in the future.
Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The "fireplace" heater was nice although might get annoying on cold nights if you're sensitive to flickering lights when sleeping. Area was great, you'd see wallabies and wombats in touching distance just walking between your room and the main lodge. Lots of hikes begin super close to the lodge. No TV in the rooms, but was nice to just relax without something screaming at you. That being said we have a toddler so there's always some level of screaming.
The scenery is very good, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The kangaroos and wombats are everywhere in the yard.
After getting stuck in cradle mountain without fuel as we missed the service station by 5 minutes and having to last minute stay the night we couldn't have had it better! The staff here went above and beyond to help us out and what started out as a stressful moment being stuck with kids and a baby with no fuel turned into the highlight of our trip. The cabins are glorious, the restaurants are fantastic, food is delicious, and the location is just stunning. We were even treated to some snow fall! I can't say thank you enough to the lovely staff. I hope I can go back
Simply wow, stunning location amazing staff only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is I was unable to book into the hotel restaurant and had to eat the bistro food instead. As I'm on a foodie tour of Tassie this was a little bit of a set back but still great experience.
That property is a total let down, a disappointment, an insult to luxury tourism. Never again will i come and stay at this low life, outdated, pre neolithic ancient hot, useless, hotel. NEVER NEVER NEVER!!
The food was terrible, the staff beyond rudeness, the property next door is so much better!!
We stayed in both a Traditional Spa Cabin and a Contemporary Cabin. The traditional cabins have a wood fire, as opposed to the contemporary with a gas heater. The tradition cabins are more secluded. Both are well maintained and very nice. The restaurant is semi formal, and decent prices. Hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and willing to go out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. The grounds are keep to a high standard, with walking trails, lakes and streams to explore. The Lodge is in close proximity to the national Park which is a must see attraction, the lodge sells the day passes needed to enter the park.
Comfortable accommodation in a self contained cabin. Heating was good and free parking. Very convenient for the Cradle Mountain area. Restaurants are 15 minutes away which was difficult at night and the wet The buffet breakfast was excellent. The menu in the buffet was very limited and heating could have been better The rooms were quite costly for the services provided.
