PBG Inc., dba Lamar Plaza Drug Store Review

I switched to this pharmacy several months ago. I was tired of being treated like a number at a big chain pharmacy. I've never regretted it! Everyone here is awesome and I love that most of the staff know me by name. Do yourself a favor and switch to this "hometown" pharmacy.

Love this neighborhood pharmacy! They always remember my name and are so friendly. Ashley is amazing at what she does and always has a smile on her face. They have gone over an above to make medications for my toddler who has a bad gag reflux and cannot take medications orally - popsicles and lollipops did the trick. Love supporting a local business rather than the big box pharmacies.

When you go in, they always welcome you with a hello and a smile, which is becoming rare these days. Fast service, too. Every time I've gone in there, I've never had to wait in line! Prefect pharmacy! : )

The staff and place are very well stocked in knowlage and items needed.

Great locally owned pharmacy! One of the few left in South Austin. I have never had an issue and their delivery service is the greatest thing ever.

I was waiting in line today and the clerks working saw this. One was helping a patient and the other was making small talk about opinions and life. It was really frustrating because the clerk and customer saw I was waiting but they both continued to engage each other in banter. The clerk even asked additional questions, prolonging the conversation. I finally interrupted and asked if she could help me. To which she acknowledged and the customers lingered another minute before I was assisted. This caused me to be late to a doctors appointment. It would have been nice if a peer clerk or the pharmacist said something to their colleague. Additionally, my prescription strength was incorrect (not the current strength that was requested) and this is the second time it s been erroneous in the last several months since I ve been going here. Hours are limited as well. Not a great pharmacy experience.

spoke with owner and a manager who both reached out separately to acknowledge my experience and apologize. They mentioned taking pride in customer care and were grateful to hear feedback. Furthermore, they are rectifying the prescription strength issue ASAP and set me up for delivery as well.

They have the best supplements. If they don't have what I'm looking for, they order it for me. Always very friendly.

Martin's Wellness has always provided me with more than expected. Anytime I have a question, it is answered thoroughly and honestly offering several options for my course of direction. If the store does not carry an item, they offer to get it to me asap. Kathryn, the pharmacist, goes above and beyond to keep us happy. They offer superior products and prescriptions are filled quickly.

Worst customer service ever, they come to deliver prescriptions and don t call when they will deliver then they say they call at one time when it s another time. Very unorganized

The staff is top notch here! The gal at the checkout today was very knowledgeable regarding OTC products as well as my rx, and incredibly pleasant. The pharmacist ensured I was educated on my rx and was also very friendly. I will never go anywhere else, far superior service than the local Walgreens/CVS.

I thought this place was okay until I had an extremely rude experience with one of their techs that looked like she was maybe still in college, tallish, really skinny, and long, stringy, light brown hair. She wasn't polite at all to me, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Ugh, not worth it.

Martin's Pharmacy is always SO helpful in consulting on the best way to cure what ails you. It really feels like a hometown pharmacy and we love supporting local businesses. Plus, they can compound medicines into candy and treats for your kiddos and pets!

The staff here is so helpful and compassionate. They have awesome service. They carry a lot of over the counter meds you can't get at HEB. They take the time to get things right. They also take the time to coordinate with physicians and drug companies. Did I mention they have pet meds?

Martin Pharmacy was absolutely amazing in helping me with an issue with an insurance denial on a very expensive specialty medication. They were friendly and assisted with every step of the process including filing the paperwork and communicating with my doctor. After all of their hard work to get the approval, my insurance unfortunately insisted I use the insurance specialty pharmacy to fill the prescription. Martin pharmacy was still above and beyond understanding and friendly and transferred the prescription. Customer service like this is rare these days. I cannot recommend them enough for your pharmacy needs. Even though they are a 40 minute drive from my house I will definitely give them my business any chance I can.

Incredible service & knowledge on supplements. They also make my dogs medicine into a flavored tablet that he takes like a treat. I love the delivery service since I work north and can t get by before I get off.

Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! We took an antihistamine script to this pharmacy and were told the copay was $50. We refilled once and they called again later to suggest a refill. Months later we found out that our insurance was charged $3000 per 60 pill bottle! We were never told the full price at the time.

This is what a pharmacy should be. Martin's Wellness is full-scope. They are caring, efficient and competent. We are lucky to have this voice for health in our community!

The care that I get from this pharmacy is better than I've ever had with any other drug store. My walker broke and they had one hand delivered later that day and helped me put it together. I cannot express what their kindness and help has meant to me since I am disabled.

Can't praise them enough

I ve been using this pharmacy for 3 years because of the quality and precision they prepare prescriptions. They are so friendly, so accommodating and also have a delivery service. Today they really went above and beyond because they stayed a few minutes after closing when I was stuck in traffic only a mile away for 20 minutes. They didn t have to do it and I couldn t be more appreciative since I live over an hour away. Thank you again.

Great, locally owned pharmacy that gives the personal touch. You re not just a number. I haven t explored their CBD knowledge however that s a cool sign that they are traditional and cutting edge.

These folks are super friendly and so helpful! They carry Neurobiologix products and helped me to find their out of stock products at their sister drug store in Dripping Springs... They are awesome!

My mother lives in an assisted living center and I called Lamar Pharmacy to make sure they would get the prescription to my mother at the earliest ,as she was hurting. They said it would be on the first delivery to the home at 2pm. At 2:30pm it had not arrived so I called and they said really it was going to be 5pm. Ended up going and picking up the prescription because I just couldn't trust them. Delivering on your promises is important and even more so when you are delivering medicine. I am very disappointed in them.

I love this pharmacy! They are always so helpful and professional. I have a few different medications that were monthly and they went above and beyond to get me the best deal and they are absolutely fantastic about reminding me on when it s time to refill my prescription. Hands down will never go to any other pharmacy!

I had some challenges with a couple other pharmacies. And I ended up transferring all my prescriptions to this location!!

This pharmacy is great. They made my dog's medication when he was sick, and he loved it and felt better quick. The pharmacy even went out of their way and delivered it to me at work since I couldn't get by in time to pick it up. 5 stars, awesome local pharmacy.
