Our second year and we were not disappointed. . Your staff are wonderful attentive knowledgeable and very good at the job.
New flavours and delights to excite us..well done to all staff in front of house and the tremendous talents in the kitchen.

Absolutely fantastic food but the service was a bit formal for me personally.

Wow wow wow. What else can we say!!!!! My wife treated me to Lunch at No6 today for my birthday and we were blown away. What an experience. From the welcome, to ordering drinks, to being sat right next to the kitchen peering in and seeing the masters of their craft at work we had a warm and friendly welcome. The birthday card was a lovely touch too and set everything in motion for a truly memorable experience. We have been fortunate enough to have eaten at many Michelin star restaurants (I'm sure your team will tell you where) and every one was unique and delicious.........Paul....you and your team should be so very proud as you blew them all out of the park.....we have never experienced such fresh and well balanced flavours in all of the dishes we had today so thankyou!! I know that alot of Chefs spend hours and hours honing their craft and never really get to know what we really think. So thankyou so much for making my birthday weekend and the meal such a memorable one. We will be returning in October to celebrate my wife's birthday. Thank you!!

Well what can I say..... probably the best restaurant I have ever been too! All staff were lovely, food was 5 stars, and the whole experience was a delight. Will be recommending to everyone. Unfortunately Paul wasn t there that night but Chris McClurg and his team done an amazing job. Thanks for a wonderful night.

Had an amazing meal, one of the best whilst in the area and excellent value. The service was great and the waitress was lovely and professional. Would recommend to everyone as a must eat location whilst visiting Padstow!!

My husband booked this as a birthday treat for me and we weren't disappointed we were serviced by a young apprentice named Liv who was very polite and extremely knowledgeable of the menu she explained all of it in detail which was really helpful. The food was delicious, as you would expect it was expensive but worth it for a treat / special occasion. All the staff were lovely and not pretentious as you some times get at these up market restaurants. Most enjoyable.

Once again loved it, put your faith in the chefs try something you wouldnt normally. You will not be disappointed. Service was fantastic as usual. Prefer the A la carte if I had my choice but still delicious. Cant wait for my next trip.

Very Special Restaurant in Padstow with always truly Amazing Food, Staff who always Fantastic. I must say this is in my top 3 restaurants in the world.

Amazing food with heart, style and a story, plus it all tastes fabulous!

Get the cod starter. I ate at Outlaw s the day before. The food at Ainsworth was even better than there and the food at Outlaw s was incredible. This isn t a one off win for Ainsworth either. I ate in Ainsworth and Outlaw s in 2017, one day apart, and then, too, I enjoyed Ainsworth more (even though Outlaw s was faultless). This is all personal preference and I know there will be many people who enjoy the subtleties of Outlaw more.

The service isn t as slick at Ainsworth as it is at Outlaw s. It s very good and friendly but here Outlaw wins.

So Ainsworth s kitchen and Outlaw s service combo would make a 3 star.

I.ve eaten in many fine dining restaurants and paul ainsworths number six was on the hit list. Sadly i felt short changed. Paul you are an incredible chef and respect your talents as a chef. Larger portions and better premises. I felt like i dined in a cafe enviroment. Staff were incredible taste of food was incredible. Your michelin star and it doesn.t feel like a michelin star enviroment. Just need the quality surroundings and larger portions and its perfect. Just to say your staff are superb and knowledgeable about your menu.

Wonderful homely atmosphere. Flawless service. Exquisite food with a heavy focus on fresh and powerful ingredients. One of Cornwall s best if not the best.

Perfect. Had the summer collection set lunch and it was amazing. The service was impeccable. Already planning a return visit next time we're here.

We booked lunch here about a month ago. The website showed fully booked, but after a phone call to the very attentive staff, we were fortunate enough to get a table on the 27th of August for lunch. We booked our lunch quite some time in advance and had decided we wanted to visit having seen No. 6 on The Great British Menu.

Amazing food & service,shame about the table, unless you like looking a a white wall.

Seen as a destination Cornish restaurant and did not disappoint. Service excellent from all staff who made us feel welcome, and cannot fault the food and drink.
Starters of haddock quiche Lorraine, pigs head fritter and scallops all very pretty and tasty.
Mains of duck and monkfish again presented as a work of art and lived up to it on flavour.
The pud and speciality of the house a fairground tail....3 courses of sweet goodness that were extremely moreish (doesn't really do it justice, if you like puddings, you have to try this once in your life). Wine matches were all good, and service was not hurried (we had a good 3+ hours here and were not rushed out the door). Destination restaurant....yes absolutely...worth saving up for. 5 star service and food.

Lovely restaurant, great food and attentive staff. It was good to watch the chefs in the kitchen hard at work through the window next to our table!

The food was very nice but quite rich. Felt very welcome, however service not quite as attentive as I would expect from a starred restaurant. A pleasant lunch all in all.

Outstanding food, one of the tastiest meals I've ever had.

We went for my 60th birthday on 7th March. Walking in, we were welcomed and shown upstairs for drinks. This restaurant is stunning! Then taken downstairs to our table. The taster menu was delivered so professionally by the staff who could not do enough for you. Credit to them all. Each mouthful of food on each course was like nothing we ve ever tasted before. You were taken beyond an eating sensation. (Love the caramelised butter ). We had the great privilege of going into the kitchen to meet the chefs. This was the pinnacle of the whole evening. Thank you all for the best meal we have ever tasted and all your hard work.

Absolutely amazing. The best food I've ever eaten. An experience me and my wife will never forget. Everyone must try "a fairground tail" probably the best desert....... In the world.

Absolutely outstanding!
We dined here as a family of 4 with 2 children. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and we were pleased to see that the menus accommodated children. Before eating we spent time in the bar area, which provided a huge selection of drinks.
The staff knowledge on the food and drink was amazing and they spent time to speak to us which made the experience all the more welcoming.
The food was outstanding and the theatrics of the fairground dessert was amazing. We couldn't fault anything about our experience with the Number 6 team and would highly recommend to everyone.
We will definitely be returning here on our next visit to Cornwall. Although would recommend booking in advance like we did as we overheard people who expected to be able to walk in and dine, on our exit.

Rang to book a table for 2 when on holiday in Padstow. Couldn't get a table for any of the days we were in the area.
Found the guy that answered my call to be very unhelpful and somewhat condescending. Will stick to Rick Steins eating establishments in future when in the area.

Great food, great service, a lovely leisurely lunch.

One of the best meals we have had! We have visited many top restaurants including Marcus Wareing, Gordon Ramsey, Glynn Purnell and the closest rival Nathan Outlaw and Paul us right up there with the others. Michelin guide must be about to award him a star because with such a quality team and food he deserves it.

I might normally be tempted to wax lyrically about how the restaurant and the food were amazing. On this occasion I'm going to keep it brief so not to lose the sense of occasion. It is, exceptional!

We visited on the last day of the season, and the man himself was there with a big smile and warm welcome. His presence in the kitchen meant there was never a doubt this last day of the season would produce outstanding service and phenomenal food. For those who have been and tried the steak, can I just say wow! How good was that carrot?

A great meal once again. This is the 4th time we've eaten here, we will be returning.

Fantastic experience again. Second time of visiting here and again it was great. The staff are fantastic, very attentive but not hovering over you. The food is great, nice twists and cooked perfectly. You really couldn't wish for anything more. A genuinely superb dining experience, well worthy of its accolades and I'm sure there will be more to go on the shelves! Already promised the family next time we come to Cornwall we'll be returning.

Our favourite restaurant in Padstow and we've tried them all a good 3 or 4 times! We make this our final meal on our annual trip to Cornwall now. The perfect way to end a holiday.

Wonderful meal on New Year's Eve. 6 adults and a 3 year old all stuffed. Nice selection for our 3y/o and classic menu for the rest of us. Great staff and a lovely private room for our bigger group. There is no parking at the restaurant itself but there are a number of parking lots near by. You can also drive up to the restaurant to drop people off but will have to drive back around the one way system to park.

My husband and I came here for a special trip on our honeymoon. The food was beyond delicious (especially the seafood) and the service by the staff was impeccable. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Incredible food, definitely met my expectations and much more. Staff were wonderful and so professional yet the whole experience was very relaxed.

Delicious culinary Experience in a small cornish village. Food get barely a five but the staff, location and setting gets full marks. Do come early since the bar upstairs is perfect for a pre dinner drink.

Great food, amazing service. The set menu is a good price for a wonderful taste of top quality food.
