I have had hearing problems for 20 years caused first by a Vestibular Schwannoma and later by a severing of the left auditory nerve during surgery to remove that tumor. In those 20 years going to audiologists and other specialists, nobody has helped me as much as Dr. Anne Carter. She has conscientiously worked with me to get a usable hearing aid, adjust it to improve hearing, and offer advice on maintenance, insurance, and related matters. Dr. Carter and her staff are not only highly competent but are also friendly and take a personal interest in patients.

The office was easy to find on Pasadena Avenue in St Petersburg and there was plenty of parking; including shaded parking spaces. It was an easy hop skip and a jump from Town & Country in Tampa.

I felt invited from the moment I walked into their comfortably well-appointed waiting room.

Meg, the office manager, greeted me warmly and asked me to complete two short forms as a new patient. I appreciate not having reams of paper to fill out as in most other facilities.

Bonnie, the Audiology Assistant, did the background and conducted various hearing tests. She was friendly, professional, and efficient.

Dr. Carter then took over performing multiple practical hearing tests that immediately let me know she understood the processes involved for the hard of hearing more than previous audiologists I have used.

Dr. Carter identified challenges I was having without me having to bring them forward myself, then addressed them with solutions concerning device fit and other matters without hesitation. During the almost one and a half hours she spent with me, I learned important things about the devices and my hearing that had not been mentioned in the past seventeen years by three other audiologist and two medical doctors treating me.

Her professionalism, knowledge, and efficiency speak through her actions and my results. I highly recommend Pasadena Hearing Care.

I went to Dr. Carter when my hearing aid purchased at Costco was no longer doing the job, particularly in noisy situations. She fitted me with a trial pair of hearing aids that would be a good fit for me. They were, but she told me I should go back to Costco with her specific instructions to enhance my Costco hearing aids. The Costco technician, after following Dr. Carter's instructions, was able to enhance my hearing aids to the point that they could now do the job of enabling me to hear well. When I told Dr. Carter that now my hearing aids worked well and that I no longer needed to buy hearing aids from her, she was genuinely glad that my hearing aids now worked even after having spent hours testing my hearing and working with me to find hearing solutions, with no fee for her services. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am and how very awesome this caring doctor is!

Dr. Carter really knows her stuff and wears hearing aids herself. I've never had a more knowledgeable hearing care Doctor. I trust her completely when it comes to knowing the technology, understanding how it works in your life and what you need to buy, and whether it makes sense to spend more money on technology for you.
They also do unbundled services so you don't need to thousands on the hearing aids, but you do have to pay for office visits. But the visits are well worth the price. She found settings in my hearing aids that others never did, and has improved my hearing. Highly recommended.
