I have read some of the reviews already posted and would like to share my experience with Park West Gallery. I purchased a painting while on Legend of the Seas on 4 March 2016. AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY PAINTING - NEARLY 20 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE!!! I AM NOT HAPPY, I REPEAT NOT HAPPY.
I HAVE ONLY GIVEN ONE STAR AND WOULD GIVE NONE IF I COULD.
I was informed when I purchased this painting that it would be delivered within 12 weeks.
I keep getting fobbed off by being told that it is coming from another location!! Where is it coming from?? The moon??
So I advise anyone who wishes to purchase a painting from Park West Gallery while on board a cruise - DO NOT UNLESS YOU CAN WALK OFF THE SHIP WITH IT.

Just finished a VIP cruise to Canada, Park West vip team was the best! Yes, it s true it is the most expensive free cruise you ll ever take and the most enjoyable! Can tell how good the team was-Cole,Luke, Lisa, Selena, Grace were wonderful! But one stood out and it was Tiffany Sandal , this girl was available to answer all my stupid questions from the moment she emailed me(and my wife) about the cruise to after we a final auction and cocktail party! She was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the art , about how to make payments on those precious pieces I bought. Sorry if I sound like she s super girl and the rest of the team was up to par nothing could be further from the truth, they were all wonderful! We did hit some rough seas and these ladies all kept a smile and their patience (which I m sure wasn t easy)! If you ever have the opportunity to take a cruise with Park West , don t miss the chance! Billy and Penny Hickey

PS. Sorry I left out the artist, meeting Peter Max , Dominic Pangborn, Alex Gockels, David Najar and Simon Bull left me star struck! Seeing someone take the stage and create a work of art before your eyes is amazing! David Najar is such a fine person on so many different levels and a wonderful artist(I may have to buy another apartment to display what I bought) .... oh last thing you ll meet truly wonderful people from all over the world !
I gave 5 stars

Love the auctions and the pieces we have collected. Would like to see Parkwest update their VIP gifts. Our last one was the same free print given out to everyone, which are the same ones we have gotten time and time again.

I ordered $6,000 in paintings when we were on board the Triumph for a New Years Eve cruise through this art gallery. We have received nothing, cant get ahold of anyone to get it resolved and still without the 8 paintings we bought. We were told they would be delivered within 8 weeks, but cant seem to get information. I will be calling my credit card company and disputing this charge if I don't hear something within the next couple of days

This was the second art auction I went to on a carnival cruise and the first time I bought art. I love my artwork! They were also able to get me a better price and my work came with an appraisal. A very good experience overall!!

My wife and I purchased 4 pieces of art on the Norwegian Star Baltic cruise in July 2015, and generally everything went to plan. However, we received an appraisal for 'tango' (artist: Metlan) instead of the most expensive piece 'youthful pleasures' (artist: Pino) and have been told that this is what was ordered.

However, I requested buying the appraisal we wanted for Insurance purposes only to be told that I can only do so with a US credit/debit card or cheque - yet our UK credit card was ok to purchase the art on the cruise? So, I have a long chain of emails to and fro your CS team that have not got anywhere and I cannot believe this has been so difficult to resolve, which has been very disappointing.

So so much fun. This was out 4th/5th time going to Art auction in HMB, Jason Betteridge and his staff does such wonderful job.
The artists have all been amazing. Jason does wonderful in keeping his audience entertained. The program Park West puts on is out of this world.
Only have 1 comment that perhaps would better utilize the lines for signing & picture taken. Perhaps having the lines elsewhere in another hallway, so not interfering with casino ( that happend this time 6/27/19) it was so crowded that other people could not get to the tables. Other than that the hotel and Jason's staff were the best.

This was the most disgusting, outrageous experienc...

This was the most disgusting, outrageous experience of my life. I will never do business with this horrible company ever again. I purchased artwork on a cruise in September. 6 weeks later, the WRONG artwork arrived at my house. I sent back the wrong artwork, and Park West was supposed to send me back my rightful artwork in return. Instead, they send me back, another 6 weeks later, THE WRONG ARTWORK AGAIN! Then, it gets better. At this point, I just want a refund - it is now February. After countless phone calls with unhelpful reps, who never once even apologized, they send my money back TO THE CRUISE LINE. Now, six MONTHS later, I am without artwork and without my money. No one at Park West Gallery will help me at all. I wish I could give them zero stars.

In response to the response below -- do you expect me to leave my contact information on google? Do you have a number where I can contact someone who can actually help me?

My boyfriend and I just got off the Carnival Sunri...

My boyfriend and I just got off the Carnival Sunrise. Jean-Jacques was the auctioneer for our cruise. We had never been in an art gallery before and we had no idea what to expect the first time we went to the gallery, but Fredricka immediately helped us, showed us things that we might enjoy, and invited us to the auction.
We went to the auction and we were intimidated but Jean-Jacques made it so fun and engaging. We had an absolute blast, got a few pieces, and scheduled an appointment with Lindie to go back later that evening.
When we went down that evening, Lindie took over an hour of her time to explain different pieces, tell us about artists, show us things we never even thought to look into. We were always scared to go into anything like that because we thought that we would be judged for not being able to afford thousands of dollars worth of artwork. We thought they would turn their noses up at us because we're young and don't know anything about art.We had the exact opposite experience. The entire team was so incredibly helpful and the auctions and gallery ended up being the highlight of our entire trip.
To Jean-Jacques, Lindie, and the entire Park West crew on Carnival Sunrise, thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn about something new, for taking time to explain things, break them down, and look out for us. You guys are the reason we have a new love and appreciation for art. Travis and I cannot wait to receive all the artwork we purchased and put it up in our home. You can be sure that we'll be back in another gallery as soon as we're close to one!!

I purchased 2 tarkay and two agam artworks on the Bravo cruise from Sydney to Noumea in October this year.. 3 of the artworks have arrived but the most expensive Agam has not yet arrived and I have had no response when contacting Park West Gallery. I am very anxious about having to take legal action within USA to recover my art work or my money. Very disappointing.

All the representatives of Park West as always were very professional, pleasant, eager and attentive to answer questions and address any concerns. However, although the location-lake side was nice, the accommodations were not to our expectations. The venue left much to be desire; the pre-viewing of art and auction were too long, food was mediocratic, the rooms where not thought out in advance for people with mobility or health issues limited to mobilize comfortably up and down stairs.
Attendees with service pets; at the auction, lunch and dinner table eating out of plates at the table was unsanitary to say the least. Although I understand and respect the need for the pet; consideration must be taken to accommodate those whom the pet's presence,, touch or swipe of a tail affects those with respiratory or allergy health issues. Pets at an auction of this caliber MUST be contained, controlled and better coordinated not to burden those with medical issues.

They are extremely unprofessional. They are not respectful of thier customers. They failed us on multiple levels. They always act as if they are hiding something. It took for ever to get our art and they are always late and wrong. Don't recommend this gallery, spend your money at a place where the gallery have respect for the customer.

Park West Gallery is an art auction which can be found on many cruise ship lines. I've purchased from them on several occasions and my experience has always been pleasant. Their staff is knowledgeable and professional and make art buying fun. If you ever get an opportunity to attend a Park West Gallery auction, I'd highly recommend you do.

First of all, I wish I could give 0 stars but it won't let me. I went on a cruise in December 2019. I purchased a portrait, which I still have yet to receive. This is completely unacceptable. I understand what is going on now, in the world today, but there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for the monumental delay in the shipping of the item which I had purchased. It has been nearly 4 months since our cruise disembarked. I will make sure to advise others to not make any purchases of their art.

I ve started like many, collecting a few pieces of art on a cruise. It was my first foray into fine art and it was a life changing experience to hang it on my walls. From that point forward, I became a collector. Park West hosted events are amazing, they provide access to artist and art that would be difficult to collect. If you ever want to surround yourself with beauty, collecting fine art is a way to go.

We truly enjoyed our 1st Art Auction on the Ruby Princess. All the Park West staff were great to work with. While there is always the attempt to up sale, there was never pressure. We purchased several pieces we liked, not because we collect, but because wanted to update. Prices seemed fair, especially when buying in packages. Thanks to Eliot, Nadia, and everyone on board.

On the ship the process of being able to examine the art was not long enough. The auction itself was informative but long. After the purchase the finalizing of the paperwork on the ship was quick and easy. Park West have been very good with the communication about the order and shipping details. I ordered a poster/print that was the first to arrive, it was packed very well. We,have been home for a little over 3 weeks and just received the first of 2 oil prints. They must know how "good" FedEx shipping is because it was packed amazingly well. The art itself was beautiful and undamaged. The framing was well done and of great quality material. So far so good. Hopefully last artwork will arrive in as good condition as first.

I will definitely buy from this company again. I was on a Carnival Cruise and went to one of the Art Auctions, Josh was the auctioneer and Director of the Gallery. We had such a fun time at the event my friend and I bought pieces of art work. We both got Thomas Kinkade pieces and I got a sailboat artwork as well. The shipping process is affordable and shipped very quickly. The artwork looks amazing and I can't wait to buy more. Thank you!

Enjoyed it very much, had a great time and learned a lot more about Art and Artists alike. Spent time with Tim Yanke, and LEBO which was outstanding. Great men talking the time for me and mostly for my grandson who is very much interested in Art. LEBO spent a little extra time coaching him as well.

If you want to get a runaround and pay over market value for artwork Park West is the place to shop. I purchased five pieces of artwork from them back in November and I m still waiting on one piece. That piece was sent to me after two months and the frame and all four corners had huge gaps in them. A month later I m still waiting on that piece I called today and no one seems to know where it s at. I paid way too much money for this artwork to wait this long and to get treated like I have

Experience was aboard the CARNIVAL DREAM cruise ship. Although this was not our first experience with Park West aboard a cruise vessel, it turned out to be the one that was most rewarding. Our purchase assistant was exceptionally professional in helping us find prints available for the Thomas Kinkade works we wished to purchase. Transaction was smooth, easy, with no pressure and very rewarding. Looking forward to seeing what is available on our next cruise in April 2020.

I had the pleasure of having L. Kelly assist me with a question I had concerning a credit on my account. Not only was she quick in responding but she did it in such a courteous manner that I was astonished. I use the word "astonished" because it has been my unfortunate experience to call a company and first of all get a "robot" telling me to dial a number in their lengthy directory, getting a human (maybe) and have them not know answer to my question. All very frustrating to say the least. Ms. Kelly was on the ball and had an answer for me very quickly....so kudos to her and your company for having an outstanding employee. Thank you for allowing me to give this review. /s/ Linda Podewils

It was a great experience.

I really enjoy going to the auctions aboard ship. They are fun, fast paced, did I mention face paced? LoL You have to be on your toes and really be listening when the auctioneer is talking. If you've never been, I really encourage you to go. You don't have to bid and/or buy, just enjoy the ride!!! I've been, I saw, I bid, I bought! Not once but twice and it was fun!!!!

The client services department seems to be virtually non-existent, as The Park West Gallery seems not to be interested in providing a satisfactory client service or gaining returning clients at all. We've purchased an artwork in March, have received it 15 weeks later (even though have been promised to get it 12 weeks after the auction, at most), and they still haven't created a client id for us (we've bought it under someone else's account during the auction), even though they claimed that creating customer id would be trivial. As of right now, client services simply ignore my emails and a voice mail as well. Perhaps, they are understaffed, but this isn't the right way to run the business, especially in social media era.

A wonderful experience, great people and I made some new friends. The cruise its self was perfect and the service was excellent. As VIP's some folks have high expectations. The art team, the artists all we great. I understand that the expectation was to be present at any and all events and I am grateful that I was not called out for my few absences. Thank you Park West for the great time. Betty Pomerleau

We had our first and only experience with Park West during our honeymoon on Carnival Cruises ten years ago! We still have the art we purchased. The experience was great then. From what I remember we were able to take home one piece and the others we paid for on the ship with a Park West card we obtained there and the other two were shipped with no delay. We had our pieces professionally matted and framed and they hang on our walls today. I posted this now because I don't understand the bad reviews and wanted people to know the good job this company did for us.

My husband and I purchased art work on a cruise early March. We received art work which we did not order and returning these we are waiting our final piece from ordering in March. Dealing with Park West's customer service in regards to this, is terrible. We have made numerous emails and phone calls with no response. I would strongly encourage some changes in that area. We are left with, will we ever receive this piece.

On my last cruise I decided to go to the Park West auction on the beautiful art work they had displayed on the ship. I received a lovely welcome and the Park West personal were so knowledgeable about the art work I was interested in and gave me a great background on the artist. Shipping took overnight with FedEx and no problems. I m ready to buy more in November.

I resent having to take the time and effort to return a picture I did NOT really want...... The auctioneers kept telling us to raise our hands to bid and then we could tell them later that we did not want the item~~making a game out of the experience. I am not a regular auction attendee, so I was following their instructions. To my dismay, I ended up buying something I DID NOT and DO NOT want! Needless to say, I will NOT be attending any more cruise auctions!!!! What a rip off!!!!

Update (21st of Mar. 2019)
Is there anyone responsible for reply in your Gallery please?

Update (11th of Mar. 2019)
NOTHING STILL...

Update(26th of Feb. 2019)
No reply at all... What happens...Who is in charge of...Why keep silence...

Update (17th of Feb. 2019)
DISAPPOINTED that so far still no progress, no reply, no communication from all emails I sent to Park West Gallery.
Imagine you joined the auction on ship, and auctioned expensive artworks, thought would enjoy the beauty of arts everyday at home after. However, what delivered is not what you bought on auction in the end.

Who dares to purchase next time!!! And where is their professional ethics!!!

Update (10th of Feb. 2019)
I cannot accept Park West Gallery's resolution for when I requested a full money refund including coverage for all shipping charges for the refunding of products with the reasons are as followed:

1. Two pieces of artworks that I intended to purchase on the cruise ship have been swapped out to ones of lower quality with different Registration No. to the original ones I had seen on ship (See attached photos). And I was promised by the auction manager on the ship the artworks I purchased on ship will be delivered to my home. Otherwise I dare not purchase just in case.

Your resolution: No resolution!
Your reason is given: -" I was able to confirm this was the ONLY style & size of this piece displayed on the ship, and this is what the client received."
===> This is a lie, I have been cheated of my money and sent sub par goods that were not the items I selected on the cruise ship, although they are the same style, but they are not the same ones with individual registration numbers of both arts shown. And the photos I took on the ship which can be proofed as below (See attached photos):

Hometown Morning:
the number of art I purchased: 295/790 I/P
the number of Delivered: 171/790 I/P

Lamplight Manor:
the number of art I purchased: 3132/4850SN
the number of Delivered: 1094/4850SN

2. The frames of 2 artworks delivered are of much lower quality as well, differing to what I selected on the ship when I purchased and shown in the Invoice.(See attached photo).

Resolution: Park West Gallery agrees to deliver new frames as per Invoice that I selected on ship, and agreed to pay up to $100 each for fitting as per actual invoices.
===> Appreciated. However, the most important thing is the arts themselves which are the main arts and show the value, but now they have been swapped, why? where is your professional ethics?

3. Still haven't received Thomas Kinkade album as shown in Invoice and promised by the auction manager.

As everyone can see, the above 3 issues are caused not by me, by your staff of Company. If you guys can stick to the agreement on the Invoice, give back the original ones I purchased, and make apology, I am still happy to have them. Otherwise, I have the right to claim my full money back, and any other expenses related to this deal.

I've never been told that 40/40 Refund policy, 15% voucher when I purchased, and they shouldn't be applied to me, as I haven't done anything wrong from my side. What I have asked is the FAIRNESS!!!

Update (2nd of Feb. 2019)
It has been 5 days past no reply.

Update (29th of Jan. 2019)
Thank you for your reply here!
As per your request below, I sent you another email just now, please check.

Update (27th of Jan. 2019):

24th of Jan. 2019
I'm glad to see the above positive reviews, however, my experience is very opposite. I won't comment now, still waiting for their reply to my email.

Went on a cruise with my in laws in Dec. Hadn't planned on buying art. Went to an auction and ended up buying some. The print we bought valued at US$1130 (I'm in Australia) was delivered damaged! I have been waiting a week for someone to return my email about the next step (we have a return label but do I just shove the print back into the damaged tube it came in???... that's what's about to happen) and I want a refund... I don't want an exchange... this has made the whole experience sour.

I am a long time client of Park West....however no...

I am a long time client of Park West....however now I live in another country and was recently on a cruise and.....purchased artwork. The contract is plain regarding fees, duties, import tariffs etc which was understood by us, including the part on shipping and the costs involved to ship with FEDEX. I paid $85 each for 2 tubes DOOR TO DOOR service.

Firstly, I was NEVER informed by Park West of my shipments being sent which they state I was (the only emails I received were the shippers email stating the day and time of shipment etc. (we were thinking to have them shipped to our USA address but never got the chance to speak to anyone and quite frankly this went out of our mind since it was taking a while for shipping to occur.)

My saga begins with me getting an email from customs stating the fees I would have to pay to get my artwork to me. The duties imposed were over 100% of the value along with having to pay FEDEX additional monies!! Upon this discovery we attempted to have Park West stop the shipment and sent an email with that request explaining the issues. I received a response from Latice with the scripted response one might expect as in "the contract is clear". Even though I was not disputing that fact just that we had no knowledge the fees would be so high and if they could help us in stopping the shipment. No other responses came from Latice. FEDEX refused to deliver DOOR TO DOOR as I paid for and I had to send someone (since this all happened over the holiday season and I was out of town), on a 3 hour drive to pick up these shipments.

After this first shipping fiasco I was informed I had yet ANOTHER shipment coming a week later and once again the fees were absurd and I sent another email with the same suggestion and request to stop the shipment...again no response. SO I HAD TO PAY AGAIN!! (I paid for 2 tubes on the ship and I just got off the phone with Eric who stated to me that this is also on the contract (they may break up the shipments or artwork may not ship at the same time)...my issue with this is this has now gone on for some time...I have sent emails with these concerns and YET I AM GETTING ANOTHER SHIPMENT??!! This time though, seems Park West failed to put in a commercial invoice (based on the email I have now from the FEDEX licesnsee in Ecuador stating I have 5 days to supply or I can choose between 2 options...paying their shipping fees and an additional $300 for them to ship it back to the sender or pay them their fees plus a $75 dollar fee to destroy my item(s). HOW ABSURD that the only answers I was getting from Eric was the same canned and scripted responses they are taught...so CUSTOMER SERVICE does NOT EXIST. My recommendation is to NOT DO BUSINESS with these people EVER!! I certainly WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN...since this is how an older client gets serviced. By the way, I did explain to Eric that I was not blaming Park West for the ridiculous tariffs charged by Ecuador just that they should have listened to me after the first issues arose and NOT sent another package without informing me first...his response..."this is how we ship" Imagine that.

OH yes...he did offer to send me a commercial invoice since I do not have one that they failed to send it along with the package.....how that will help me is beyond me to comprehend, except to cost me more money! One email at the beginning of this could have stopped all of this from happening...amazing that a company as large and that ships all over the world would not GET THIS!!

If not for time and effort that Keisah from Custom...

If not for time and effort that Keisah from Customer Service spent on the phone explaining in greater detail why I haven't received my artwork and issuing me a refund on my purchase, this would be a 1 star review. I purchased artwork on a cruise roughly 8 months ago and received 1 of the 2 pieces within 12 weeks. I received a letter a few weeks later explaining that the second piece would be delayed. After that letter Park West made no attempt to keep me updated on the delayed piece. I called once in June for a status update and was offered a refund on the shipping since they were unable to deliver the piece within 12 weeks. At that time I was told the piece was damaged and had been returned to the artist. I called today and asked for a refund on the purchase price, Keisha was extremely helpful and explained the refund process.

I'm am frustrated that it will take up to 2 months for a refund to be processed and that 8 months after the purchase, with little communication from Park West, I felt it was in my best interest to ask for a refund. There is a better way of doing business. A customer should not have to wait 2 months for a refund and a Park West should make more of an effort to provide status updates on delayed pieces. I would be reticent to purchase from this gallery again.

Park West offers a great selection of collectible artworks. The company offers framing services and shipping. The artwork arrives in extremely protective packaging. They also offer a 0% interest rate for payments for a given amount of time.
We started our collection while on a cruise and have continued to collect on nearly every cruise we have taken.
The auctioneers are well educated and the auctions move along at a fairly fast speed.

We went to the event in Dallas. We had a great time. Meeting the artists was very insightful...it helped us understand their background, experience and styles. The accommodations at the Ritz Carlton were wonderful and the food was fantastic. This was our 3rd land event, and we always look forward to going.

Took awhile to get what we ordered (three pieces) but that s ok. E-mail communication was acceptable. Packaging was excellent.

The original arrived in great shape. I verified that it was, in fact, an original, with a local fine art gallery: They confirmed. The framing on all pieces I received is of professional quality and workmanship.

The company uses the term seriolithograph. A term which, according to my research, was created by Park West, but used by a few other galleries as well...it is a hybrid that combines serigraphy with lithography: A nice print on heavy stock, in my opinion. They will make decent birthday presents.

The appraisals are not worth the paper they are written on, which the company essentially states on the legal disclaimer, found on the reverse of the appraisal : Don t waste your money; not one signatures on enclosed paperwork was original; they are all autopen or a facsimile of...a bit insulting when one is spending a lot of money for this stuff, again, in this my opinion and only my opinion.

The above is solely my opinion and does not reflect the opinions of anyone else, nor is it meant to sway anyone else s opinion to the positive or contrary. It was given only because the gallery sent an email asking for comments.

My wife and I recently sailed on Princess cruse lines to Alaska. I think the highlights of the trip were the art auctions presented by Park West. We really enjoyed them, and also learned a lot from their seminars. We enjoyed the excellent opportunity to buy fine art.

We can highly recommend Park West and Princess.

We have collected art with Park West on several cruises. The experience has been excellent. The education that is provided is interesting and fun and the auctions are also a lot of fun. We enjoy spending time in the Art Gallery on the ships and just looking at the different artwork.
On our last cruise we were able to purchase a couple of original art works, there is no doubt that the education and experience has made a difference in our lives. We have a "Tranquility Room" in our house were we go to relax and that is where the majority of the art now hangs.

Purchased artwork on a cruise ship in January 2016, was told by Park West staff it will be delivered in 6-8 weeks. 10 weeks later I'm told by Customer service on the phone it's actually 6-12 weeks. Ok that's fine but now it's 13 weeks and I call them again and no one knows where the picture is. I speak to someone else who tells me they just got one in but not sure when I'll get it. I tell them if they will express mail it I'll take it if not I'd like a refund. (just too much running around) She says she'll check on that and call me back......no call. I call sales this time after a few days and they tell me their computer is down but when it comes back on they will call me back..... here it is 3 days later and I'm calling today to get a refund. YOU JUST CAN'T DO BUSINESS THIS WAY!!!!!!!!
