I went with 4 friends. We all enjoyed our spa treatments and food but did find the pizza was overdone. Overall a very positive experience especially at the spa
Just spent the weekend in a Deluxe King Suite. We were off site, around the corner on King Street. The bed was amazing but the room is small with no microwave & very, very basic amenities. The Bathroom is very small too. For the price I wouldn't say it's worth it. Much, much better rooms at The Hilton for the same or less money.
Also, once you check in & are off site from the main hotel, no one checked up or followed up to see if there was anything we needed.
Check out was the same, very cold & unfriendly.
Also, half of the t.v. channels are "unavailable".
House keeping was excellent.
Not worth the money.
My wife and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary and we were very happy with the accommodations. The room was very nice, good size with a great shower. The small balcony with seats was an unexpected bonus. Staff was incredibly nice, walked us right to our room. Parking was included and very close to the room. The location is right where you want to be at Niagara on the Lake, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We definitely plan to be repeat customers.
Great weekend away with 3 friends. The spa day was wonderful and so relaxing. Had facials, pedicures and manicures. Had an amazing dinner at Treadwells which is part of 124 on Queen. Our hotel suite was luxurious. Will be back for sure!!
Stayed on a Saturday night in a two-bedroom villa with 6 girlfriends. We had an incredible time! The room was clean, cozy and perfect for a girls night away. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need and more! The beds were extremely comfortable. We had breakfast at the Gate House the next morning and that was delicious again. We will definitely be back!!
Great place to stay and enjoy Niagara on the lake. Close to everything. The only thing is that due to COVID-19 they provide a continental style breakfast that doesn't have any protein and it's not filling at all. But the food at their restaurants and cafes are great, highly recommend.
Great place, a little congested what with the construction but once finished will be awesome
Our room was ready at the time quoted. Upon arrival I was impressed with the cleanliness and decor of our rooms. Very up to date with lovely kitchen, new appliances and a beautiful rainfall shower. The queen sized bed was firm yet comfy. Great stay!
Beautiful, boutique hotel. Gorgeous rooms, impeccable service. They nail the small things.
Amazing value and customer service focus at this multi building boutique hotel right on the Main Street in Niagara on the Lake. A great new discovery for me and now my go to stay in the region. Thanks to all.
5+ probably in summer, but we had cold bathroom. Definitely not our "fav" in autumn/winter. Friendly helpful staff. Not a bargain, but very nice. One block to theatre! Good restaurant.
My wife and I had an overnight stay for our 1 year anniversary that included a spa and dinner. The room was very nice, clean and modern. Staff were on hand to answer any questions and the free shuttle was great for driving us to a vineyard and restaurants in the area. The spa & dinner were equally excellent in terms of service and experience. Would definitely recommend again.
This was my first spa experience and I loved it. I got a scrub, massage, and pedicure. I left feeling so refreshed and relaxed. The massage with the hot stones felt so soothing I almost fell asleep. Dedinitely a place I would recommend.
124 on Queen is an outstanding hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's service and attention to detail is superb. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Great place to stay. My girlfriend and I wanted to move in it was so nice. Only down fall was the cheap TP.
Spa was ahhhhhmazing! Beautiful space, lovely products, kind and capable staff. Will definitely be back!
I would absolutely recommend the Spa at 124. I had an excellent and relaxing massage and spa experience. My massage therapist Allison was amazing and she was able to effectively target my shoulder and neck muscles which helped decrease my pain. She was friendly and professional and she knows what she's doing!
Booked a 2 bedroom villa for one night. The pictures don't do it justice. Extremely accommodating staff. Comfortable beds. Steps from anything on the main strip. Will definitely stay here again!
The spa experience was not that great. It is overpriced for what wss offered, next time will avoid this place.
The Hotel features beautiful rooms. Little decor accents provide an almost home like feel even Hotels in larger cities cannot provide. Hopefully I will experience the spa in the future, as I've only heard positive reviews.
Clean quiet room, balcony outside. Good wifi, parking in the back. No bathtub in our room but nice shower.
Hotel is great. Nice location. Booked a spa treatment on checkin. Unfortunately, woke up sick and had to cancel several hours before the treatment. Despite being ill they still charged me for the treatment. Very disappointing given that they likely rebooked the spot. Check-in experience was also annoying.
Friendly staff, Lovely rooms. Very clean and new. Love this place. We stumbled upon it and were happy to get a last minute room. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very clean and spacious. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.
Great Location. We had the 2 bedroom suite. Beautiful clean rooms and excellent customer service.
I didn't stay at the hotel - just had a visit to the spa. Amazing service, incredible relaxation massage. Prices are a bit higher than average, but to be expected since it is a tourist area.
The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to everything on NOTL. The room was well decorated and felt clean and cozy. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows. Since it was during COVID the continental breakfast was not as good as I imagine it could be (ie. no milk for your coffee, & no protein) but COVID changes everything we do, so it was nice to at least get what we got.
Had a great stay previously in one of the rooms on Queen St. Recent stay in a room on King St was just okay. Loud rattle from hvac system was annoying to sleep through. Room was tight, but bathroom was nice and spacious. If we ever stay here again, we'd look for a room on Queen.
We have stayed at 124 on Queen several times now. Absolutely the best hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Always excellent service. They will shuttle you anywhere you need to go. We leave there feeling like Kings! This time we got upgraded for free to a better suite, which was nice. Highly recommend staying here. Rooms are clean and modern.
Me and my Wife had the pleasure of coming here for our Honeymoon and it was so much more then we had expected! The villa we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and the staff were the nicest and most helpful people we have ever dealt with. Any issue we had was solved quickly and any help or questions we had were answered immediately. The location is also amazing as it is right on the main street of the town. This allowed us to get out and walk around whenever we wanted. Overall it was an amazing stay and we plan on going back for future trips.
We stayed for a weekend at this hotel and spa. Staff was very friendly, the room and all the bathroom amenities were wonderful. When we checked in we were told that we were in a building just a block and a half away. They had a wonderful staff member named Mark who directed us to follow him in our car to the building. Once we got there, he walked us up to our room, and helped us carry our bags, and made sure we had what we needed. He also told us that the hotel offered shuttle service to many places in the Niagara on the lake area. The concierge made dinner reservations for us on our second evening and we had Mark drive us there and pick us up, so we didn't have to worry about having a drink or two then driving back. Mark was very helpful and friendly. What a great experience. Would recommend this hotel. It is in a great location.
Fantastic. Only suggestion would be to soften the bleach smell from the cleaning products.
Gorgeous facility, right on the main drag in NOTL. Will def be back.
It's only getting an extra 2 stars because the hotel staff was very nice and room was clean, however the sleep was the worst. There is no sound proofing so you hear EVERYTHING in the hallway. Our door rattled whenever the other guests opened and closed their door. The door cracks let in a ton of light and the skylights in the bathroom did not help in the morning. Could hear everything through the walls and windows. Terrible sleep.
The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, and very cozy. The hotel sraff are very friendly. We would return again.
I think what makes a business truly great, is when you actually go back and have an even better experience than you did the first time around. I came back to get another facial from Erin, because the first time was so great. But the second time around, she somehow outdid herself. I recommend going here to everyone, if you want the best services, and the best staff. Always a great experience!
The spa had exceptional service - both friendly and caring. They had a great selection of products available too.
The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and updated. The hotel is in a great location as well. Overall, we had a positive experience here and plan on staying here again.
A bit pricey but the villas are awesome! Staff was great!
We spent 4 nights there this month on our honeymoon in what they call a 1 bedroom, 1 bath Villa, but it was like a condo to us- an upstairs apartment; recently updated ,very tastefully decorated and VERY CLEAN!
The front desk staff were all friendly and accommodating. We hope to return soon!
Superb hotel. Great place to relax at. Also close to the city centre. Fanastic food and the staff are so attentive.
Had a lovely stay with some friends a few weeks ago! The room was spacious and cozy. I enjoyed the warm/soft blankets spread throughout the apartment. Went to the Gate House for a delicious breakfast.
Staff were amazing. Small details made this place a delight. I would definitely stay here again.
Construction started at 7:30am. Now I know why they have made available ear plugs. In room fridge is not cold at all. Why have one?
It is very spacious, central and beautiful, the only bad thing is that there is no elevator in case you carry many suitcases
If you need a good night's sleep, stay away from this place. My wife and I stayed two nights at the Gate House at 124 Hotel & Spa this past weekend, room 506. This room was very comfortable and newly renovated (no full length mirror) but the a/c was beyond noisy and the fridge that was in the room was also making plenty of noise with a very bright blue light facing us at the bed. At 1 am the digital clock repeatedly blared out a message concerning its battery and continued even after it was unplugged. The bathroom has a hot radiator which could not be controlled. The shower valve didn't mix the water properly so that it was impossible to produce cool water out of the shower head. Despite all the beautiful skin care products that 124 Spa offers there was no body lotion sample available in the room. My wife booked us massages, one was relaxation, the other one was RMT; she was told on the phone that we would get 10 % off because we were guests of the hotel. Later on that day my wife went back to the spa to buy skin care products and asked if the discounts were applied for the massages - they were not; it was explained to us that only the relaxation massage would be discounted not the RMT and after my wife purchased $500 worth of products she was told that because we were guests of the hotel we would get the 10 % off the products as well, so it took some time to arrange the refund. All they had to do was to ask one question when we had our massages done and when we were buying the products - 'Are you guests of this Hotel?' POOR MANAGEMENT After two nights there we left feeling frustrated and exhausted.
My first time ever doing spa. This time I decided to go with my wofe. It was nice and comfortable. I feel very relaxed and my neck felt alot less strained after! Nice retreat for the holiday break!
One of the best rooms we have stayed in . Bright and modern . Hotel location is right on the charming main Street of Niagara on the lake.
Very quaint and very clean. Very much enjoyed our weekend away at this place.
Would absolutely stay here again no questions asked.
I did not stay the night, my husband and I went for a 60 min couples massage. Amenities are great and clean. Atmosphere is very relaxing. My husband had never had a massage before and loved the experience. Both of our massage therapists were fantastic. Both were great about focusing on our problem areas (both my husband and I have issues with our shoulders). My husband and I plan on definitely returning. I would 100% recommend them.
Front desk closes after a certain time. Breakfast not served to those leaving before 8
We thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful experience! Great place with a beautiful view.
We came to Niagara on the Lake for our wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day last year and had an amazing time at a different hotel. We thought, based on reviews , that this place would be better while being closer to downtown than we were last year. We were very wrong and won't stay here again. Issues so far (we are only a few hours in and unfortunately have two nights to survive and will likely leave early)
1) it's under construction and we were not warned of this before we booked. Parking is very confusing and even our wine tour guide complained about how bad it is because they were late to get us
2) the bed is so uncomfortable. When we got into it, we sank in the middle so much so that our legs are higher than our heads
3) the tv doesn't work. We don't have cable at home and always chose a place with cable as an indulgence so we are very bummed about this. We have had three people come to help us but can't get it to work for more than a few minutes so be warned there is not not reliable tv
4) we paid to have chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room and it was pricey. We arrived to raw strawberries dipped in chocolate which are inedible. When we complained they told us there is nothing they can do but didn't offer not to charge us so we are paying for literal garbage.
5) here is no bathtub! It's freezing and I can't get warmed up. I was shocked. I can't believe how outdated the room is in comparison to the price. This is such a disappointing and expensive romantic weekend. There are several better places for cheaper. Or at least places that will respond appropriately to your concerns. Buyer beware.
Update : we checked out because we tried to shower and couldn t get hot water. The hotel experience ruined our anniversary
Very quaint and comfy. We loved our stay and the breakfast basket.
Must say I was at the spa today a massage given to me as a Christmas gift. I didnt walk out going wow. Had a relaxation massage in Nov at my chiropractors office and a Therapeutic Massage in Dec there too and both times walked out feeling like a million bucks. First visit to a "spa" was not to impressed.
to take me for my birthday to NOTL, we always enjoy going to a few of the wineries, and visiting for a day or two. This was my first experience with 124 on Queen. It was a Thursday night, 3 days before Christmas, so not very busy. They gave us exactly the room we booked, no upgrade even though the place was quiet. Unfortunately there was some issue with a noise when the heating system cycled and there was a significantly loud bang akin to a door slamming. This did not make for a restful night's sleep, but at 3 am, you aren't really in the frame of mind where you want to switch rooms. I brought it to the hotels attention in the morning, and they made an adjustment to my bill, and apologised for the inconvenience. I would definitely give them another try in the future, I will take them at their word that I was the first one to mention the banging sound.
I just returned home from having, yet again, another amazing pedicure! I always ask my family for Spa at 124 gift certificates (birthday, Christmas, mother's Day...) and honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I can hardly wait to return. I love their Spa Ritual and Eminence lines that they carry, too.
Stunning hotel with caring staff. We'll be staying here every time we return to NOTL.
This luxury villa is a fabulous place to stay in Niagara on the Lake. Rooms are beautiful, modern ane clean. The staff was helpful, welcoming and friendly. They even left a bottle of champagne in the rooms refrigerator to celebrate a birthday. The location is PERFECT with a Starbucks in its courtyard and many great restaurants in walking distance. This place is definitely the BEST place to stay in town.
Hotel that seemed to rent home!
We can cook and many couples have the best party
The place is beautiful. The service was great and we had an overall great time in N.O.T.L
We had originally booked a room with a king size bed at the location on King St. When we arrived we were informed that we had been upgraded to a lovely 1 bedroom villa. The staff have been very friendly and the villa is extremely beautiful and clean.
Cute hotel just had a few kinks to work out to make it 100% worth the price. Space is amazing.. it s more the staff
We used the Spa on 124 Queen. We had regular pedicures done. Very pricy - $73 for regular pedicure. There was nothing special or one bit of added effort to this expensive pedicure. Not worth spending money there, save your money and have it done anywhere else.
We came down from Niagara Falls to visit the spa and had an amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and we loved the atmosphere, which was very calming. It's on the main street so we were able to go for a walk afterward to the water and go into the different shops. I would 100% recommend this spa (couples, the A Time For Us package is worth ever penny!).
Location! Mere steps from restaurants, grocery, shops, parks and entertainment right in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. My wife and I had a one bedroom villa for 3 nights and the stocked kitchen and extra space enhanced our stay and was worth the premium. We loved our time here & will certainly be back.
We recently stayed at 124 on Queen and had an amazing experience. We got a package that included an amazing meal next door at Treadwells , and a blind wine tasting at Big Heads that should not be missed. They also shuttled us to a few different wineries at our convenience .The room was spotless, updated and very comfortable. The service was amazing. This quaint little Inn is so private and charming and right in the heart of town. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
Great location. Rooms were well kept and very comfortable. Breakfast basket was enjoyable and shuttle service was a bonus!! 10/10 would recommend.
The customer service was fantastic. Everyone extremely nice and efficient. I booked an appointment in advance and my appointment was timely and I did not have to wait at all. Great location too!
My only complaint is the type of nail polish the spa carries. Two days later the polish is coming off both my hands and feet on practically all the nails. I have been having manicures and pedicures for about 30 years so I know how to take care of them.
Nice place but they need to do something with the fans in the room much too loud for sleeping. But besides that place is fantastic
