Elegant property overlooking the historic water tower. Accommodations, service, food all top notch. Due to the location, you might want to bring along some earplugs to get a good nights' rest because of the sirens all night long.

Tired and won out. Time for a refresh! Restaurant rushed, poor plating and service for too casual for the prices and atmosphere. Chipped tables, messy looking servers. Apparently resting on past glory..

Stunning building in great central location. Rooms are a good size with lovely facilities, and an open bathroom concept (doors can be closed). Loved the window seat and comfortable recliner chair/footstool combo. Great gym and indoor pool. Friendly helpful staff and lovely breakfast. Dining was great too!

We went for their Christmas buffet dinner. The food was pretty good but there could have been more variety. They did make my nephew bacon and French fries because it's all he wanted to eat.

Great view of the Magnificent Mile. Rooms have light and blind control panels and a bathroom with "slidable windows". Overall a very clean property. Has a good pickup location for taxis/Uber.

Great hotel! The service at the Park Hyatt Chicago is superb, from the moment we checked in to the time we left every detail of our stay was expertly attended to. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and location is perfect, near shopping and superb restaurants. I highly recommend the higher floor, water tower lake view rooms which give great views and allow distance away from the city sounds. I look forward to a return visit!

This is a three-star hotel (at best) hiding under a typically five-star name. The rooms are nice enough initially, but they were never straightened or cleaned properly, if at all, the whole time we were there. The spa facilities are a joke and the therapists were some of the most unprofessional I ve ever encountered. Again, just not the level of care you d expect from a Park Hyatt.

I stayed here this week on business and was very impressed.

First, the location was great, right in front of the old water tower and Water Tower Place. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a unique layout with a bathroom that opened up into the room, giving it a nice open feel. The room had a lot of little extras that made it great, from the mending kit and toothpaste, to the electric shoe shine in the closet. All of the fixtures seemed new and top of the line, from the bath tub which allowed me to set the temperature of the water to the motorized shades. The TV in the bathroom was an added bonus to watch the news while I was getting ready in the morning.

The conference facility we were at was in the basement, so it lacked windows, but it was very nice. The coffee and espresso machines outside the conference room were nice, and there was a good selection of drinks next to them. The meal we had during our meal was pretty good as well.

The only issue I had with the hotel was the lack of a good cell phone signal (I'm on AT&T) in my room. However, the hotel placed a note in my room, warning me the AT&T repeaters in the hotel were under renovation. However, a co-worker (on Verizon) also had difficulties connecting while in the hotel.

When I checked out, the front desk said there were charges from the minibar. I told them I looked at the minibar, but didn't take anything. The front desk staff didn't question it and immediately took it off my bill.

I'm not sure what the cost was, since it was covered by the business, but I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this hotel if you can afford it.

We went to Nomi for a private work event. The private room was nice and the food was delicious. A lot of interesting flavors. Only issue was that my salmon was under cooked for my taste, but still edible. The plating presentation was really nice. We were well taken care of!

My visit to the Hyatt was to have some appetizers and drinks. Arriving at the hotel, it was a plus they had valet service because you wouldn't be able to find parking. At the door was a very kind gentlemen that showed is to the elevator that goes to Nomi restaurant. I must say that everything was 'white-glove' clean. The part that they call Nomi kitchen was closed, but Nomi lounge was open. At first, I thought the actual kitchen was closed but that was just the name. Once we sat down, a waiter stopped by to drop off some menus (no waiting). After a look at the menu, there were many delectable choices that I could see. A few minutes later, ordered our choices and soon after, the food arrived. Pne issue was one of the items took a long time to come out, but the waiter made it right and compped the dish and also, one of the drinks, too. Hey, it happens. All in all, good environment and setting.

For a Park Hyatt there is quite a bit to be desired. The location is fantastic but the amenities seem to miss a bit for the top Luxury brand of Hyatt. In room coffee makers were cheap and very few options provided. The tea was abysmal. Le Labo bathroom amenities were quite nice but room service did not replace had to request extra. The check in staff was a little under-informed as when I checked in I was very unsure of my status perks, as I am the elite level Globalist I was surprised to not get a run down of any perks upon check in. I had to contact Guest services multiple times and they were always nice and cordial but I did not like that I was forced to ask for items which should have been in the room. The restaurant has a great view but the food leaves quite a bit to be desired, I would pass considering the options in Chicago. The pool is a nice feature but in a strange spot being on the floor with the restaurant, the locker room one day was nicely kept up and another was dirty and lacking items. Park Hyatt's usually have such a high level of service and luxury I was surprised to visit this one in my hometown and was completely underwhelmed.

Staying at the Park Hyatt was, for the most part, wonderful. We had dinner at NoMi, and a great afternoon wandering Michigan Ave. The only thing that bothered me was the fact I could not lower the temperature in the room. I understand it was December, and the air conditioning might be shut off for winter, but it was unseasonably warm that night, and the room never got below 75, which was too warm for my preference. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

The best hotel experience I've ever encountered. By far.

The staff got us taxis the instant we needed them, had elevators waiting on us when we walked in, gave great tips and helped make my wife's birthday a success.

Thank you to the whole Park Hyatt team, it was a really impressive stay.

(Latest: Hyatt responses quickly and I think I will give Park Hyatt a try)

Location is great. Staff is helpful when you ask for help. Room is spacious and bed is great.
But there are too many problems during my stay. (Water can't drain when taking a shower..all robes are torn..lights not functioned and looks cheap.. Eames lounge chair disappeared, only a luggage rack there..no bath salt in my bathroom...the handle of hair dyer was sticky , etc..)
The staff can fix problem quickly but I don't want to waste my time to ask for help continuously. So I only called for the bath salt and fixing the drain.
As a luxury hotel, they should be focus more on details.
And I don't think Park Hyatt is qualified for Amex FHR if they offer this kind of equipments to customers.( Not to mentioned that I already got a room upgraded because FHR, but the room quality I got was disappointing.)

Our hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. It made me feel ill. I told the front desk on our way out and they didn't seem to care.

Our room was not spotlessly cleaned and dusted. It was Hampton Inn clean, not Park Hyatt clean.

No one offered to take my suitcase when we entered the hotel. There was an employee outside who I thought might be the bellman, but he didn't offer to take my bag. It saved me a tip, but if I didn't want to tip I'd stay at Comfort Inn&suites.

The view from our 8th floor room was forgettable. It was a standard room, no upgrade/suite, but it was easier on the eyes to leave our shades closed.

The bed only had one sheet. I'm sure if I asked I would have received a top sheet for my bed. The bed was super comfortable. Really really nice. Great sleep. The pillows were great. Hotel pillows stink right? Not these. High quality goods.

I called for a small get away for myself and my wife. The concierge Karen called me and was interested on what we were looking for. She recommended a great steak house which was Benny s and even contacted us once we arrived at the hotel. The hotel was nice but Karen went above and beyond my expectations. She was awesome.

I absolutely loved this hotel! I am a very big fan of Hyatt hotels and this being a luxury one did not disappoint! The room was very clean and spacious. The soaking bathtub was perfect after a long day! Bed and pillows very comfortable! Great view of the lake from the adorable window seat and blackout curtains to block the city lights at night! And they have Chromecast on the TVs so you can still watch Netflix when you're in your room! Which was important to us because we got snowed in! My only issue was the room service prices were a little much. We paid $70 for eggs, a waffle and 2 drinks. The food quality was not worth the extreme price but that's kind of to be expected in a luxury hotel room service. Overall it was a great location and a great stay for us! Thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff! I will definitely continue to use and recommend Hyatt!

great stay

great stay
Unbeatable! Great property with superb service and staff. Location is perfect and highly recommend the bar and restaurant. Book early as this is a popular destination and rightfully so as five blocks to lake and on Michigan Avenue

My husband and I went to dinner at park hyatt Chicago as our first date night four weeks after our Son was born. Everyone congratulated us on our newborn, and everyone was quite professional. The food and wine were delicious, and we were fortunate enough to eat in the alcove that overlooks the square with the water tower. Everything wss fantastic!

Room was phenomenal, it was so Huge, tub & all. Service was great, nothing to sign for room service, and open wifi - simple & easy stay. Only recommdation would be to add a Google Cast adapter so travelers can watch their own TV.

Poor sleep. We have been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years to celebrate our anniversary, However last night after we dined at Nomi and went back to our room on the 10th floor and even had a fan running on high speed. All night the ambulances and police sirens travelling west on Chicago street woke us up even until 5 am. The reviews state that the Park Hyatt hotel rooms are sound proofed, However this was not the case.
I am hoping a comment from the hotel manager.

I think I have one of the best views in the house. This hotel is exceptional and the staff have been amazing. Nomi has a great cocktail menu and an excellent wine selection. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Chicago or looking for an upscale staycation.
