Prime location! 3 blocks south of central park, close to Broadway and time square. The room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was clean. I would definitely stay here again! It was a great place to stay on my first visit to NYC.

Nice location. Not too far from times square, maybe five minutes from central park. Rooms are pretty small but that just new york I guess. Nothing spectacular just convenient especially if you're gonna be out mostly anyway

We just had a 3 night stay with the hotel and quit...

We just had a 3 night stay with the hotel and quite frankly are quite dissatisfied with the hotel for the price we paid and will not be returning.
Firstly, the day of arrival even though the check in was quick, the state of the king size rooms (we were in 1825) were not as we had imagined. The view felt like you were trapped in a prison cell. There was no coffee machine, no robes, and the bathrooms were so small that only one person can fit at one time.
Our first night stay was so unpleasant as we woke up sweating because the AC was not working. Early Saturday we complained to the front desk on our way out and she said she would get someone to come check it out. We returned back at 4pm to find out that the AC was still not working and we called frustrated in which 20 mins later someone came to check it out. All he did was switch something off and on to the AC unit and sure enough it went back on. However to make matters worst, come Sunday we were our for a wedding all day and when we returned back it was 1am and AGAIN the AC was not working.
Also the WiFi did not work after the the blackout for a whole day and half and on Sunday it was in and out to the public.
One thing I would like to mention is that you need to fix the elevators. On Saturday morning we waited 10 mins to get down but not only was it fully packed when we did, clearly everyone was having the same issue because the elevator stopped every floor on the way down. Why is only one elevator functioning out of 4? On Sunday when I had to go get ready for the wedding (at another hotel) and had all my belongings plus a bridemaid dress in my hand, I waited 15 mins before deciding to just walk down 18 floors of stairs because there was no sign of the elevators. What a disappointment.
Truthfully that s all I have to say, I travel all the time and I can truly say that this hotel was probably one of my least favorite. We had a whole wedding party staying at this hotel and everyone was unhappy.

Honestly staying this hotel was not good experience like other activity in NYC such as broadway and jazz diner. Doesn t deserve to pay 3-500 USD.
This hotel was noisy, room was not so big, cleaning is not perfect. Also pls be noticed that this hotel charges 31 USD for facility fee,l.

Good hotel. HVAC wasn't up to Par, but the staff was what you would expect. Good location. My back feels better after sleeping in the 4 star king bed. That alone was almost worth the price of admission.

Booked reservation through Groupon Getaways and like most things there are pros and cons.

PROS:
Friendly staff
Great location
Great room decor and comfy bed

CONS:
1. No onsite restaurant, just an extremely overpriced cafe.
2. No heat. Temperature control in room is only for turning on and off the AC. We literally froze in our room. It was colder in the room than outside and had to request a heater be bought to the room and extra blankets.
3. Maintenance needed. Overall room was great, just minor maintenance issues (carpet was frayed and coming from wall in spots, bathroom smelled stale and like mold, door was chipped)
4. Called several days in a row to request early check-in. Each time I was instructed to call back the next day. On the night prior to check in, placed called and was told there is no early check-in but they would place a note on the reservation of the request. Arrived at the hotel and there was no such note. Not big deal, we checked our bags and toured the city.
5. Lobby is very noisy and the check-in staff speak very softly I had to constantly ask them to repeat.
6. No room sound proofing. Walls are very thin and we could hear the conversation of the next door neighbors. Had to keep the tv on to drown out their conversation it was literally like they were in the room with us. Even at night when we were trying to sleep.
7. No billing statement delivered at check-out you simply drop your keys. Makes for fast checkout but gives a surprise when you check your bank statement to find that you are automatically charged an automatic "resort" fee and only get back 1/3 of the deposit even though you used no services.

Overall the hotel was fine but i do not see staying here again unless I find a really amazing deal. I truly feel tricked by the automatic fee that is taken.

This hotel is the best for me ever! I really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to Central Park, a great grocery- Morton Williams Supermarket, and close to the metro. The room and bathroom was a nice size, especially for NYC. The bed was extremely comfortable with a down comforter. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.

Beautiful room! Clean and nice staff! Didn't know about the extra $35.00 a day for things we didn't use! I wouldn't have been annoyed by this IF it included free coffee in the AM! Luckily Starbucks is 3 doors down.

My husband and I decided to book a last minute "mini-honeymoon" before we can take our big one in 2019. I found a pretty decent deal through expedia.ca and booked with Park Central based on the location and pretty good reviews regarding their customer service. It was just okay overall. The room was cleaned daily and replenished with fresh towels, which was nice but I wouldnt say they were deep cleaned, even upon arrival. Dust in the corners, left over hair in the shower, etc. The cards for the rooms are frustrating and do not often work properly...

I had made it clear we were celebrating our recent wedding and were told we would be "taken care of" in terms of a nice room but that didnt happen...we ended up with a room with two double beds :S so confusing. Nothing else was done, not even a congratulations at check in.

They also have a VERY steep daily fee, so expect a large bill at the end of your stay. I had been aware of this but for the dated nature of the hotel, the issues with the room keys, etc. 10% off at the hotel bar isn't exactly worth it. They charge resort fees in vegas but that is because they all have pools, etc. That being said the location is excellent, a few blocks from Central Park and Times Square.

Would I recommend it? maybe, for location if you get a good deal.

Would I book again? probably not, would rather pay a bit more for an initial cost at a more modern place with no hidden fees.

I would agree more with the 2.5 star review other sites show for this hotel. It s a nice hotel but you aren t greeted and dealt with with much warmth. There s also this ridiculous facilities fee which many hotels seem to add on now for things that used to be considered part of your stay. It s dishonest. If you want to charge extra for the amenities, whatever they are, make it option-able.

What s worse is there was a ton of disruption my first two night s stay and they offered no remuneration. Their staff made a racket in the hallway. Definitely disappointed with this hotel.

The rooms are TINY. If you are traveling alone its fine. With your partner its OK unless you need space then its not OK. I went with friends and we got a king size bed in a tiny room. The bed filled the room and we all had to change in front of one another when the bathroom was occupied by another friend who was lucky to get in there for some privacy.

This is my first day and time in this hotel Im here for the new year eve I payed so much for it to come and enjoy the holiday.

They are only very clean, but its kinda old and there is no cafe maker, no refrigerator, no time square view at all in any rooms no restaurants in the hotel at all no vending machines.

Also, you can hear everything going on in the hall way so clear while your in your room.

I believe 4 stars is tooo much for this hotel.

The location of hotel was great, the staff at the hotel were not so great upon arriving, we were told that they were out of King beds and there would be an extra $50 fee per night that for some reason was not listed when we originally booked. The handset to the phone in the room was broken and the body wash was empty. I went to the bar to ask for a glass of ice water and the bartender told me he would not give me one. The walls are thin I could hear the cleaning ladies talking to each other every morning since we were right next to where they keep their carts. All around I didn't love the stay.

Few things for giving a two star. 1. We checked in at 4pm, and still not able to get two rooms next to each other. This is not a small hotel tho. 2. No towel at the bathroom at all. I mean NONE. We called housekeeping and took them an hour and half or two to give us towel (limited quantity). 3. No coffee maker or kettle in the room too. I really doubt it I booked a four star hotel.

My boyfriend and I LOVED this hotel! Not only did they have a very easy check in process but the room was clean, easy to get to, and spacious for New York. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal and several other fun places! There is also a bike place next door that provided a discount for guest staying at the hotel-we rode the bikes to Central Park and rode around and it was one of the best experiences! An entrance to the subway was on the corner right near the hotel so it made it easy for us to get down to see the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island Ferry, 9/11 memorial and lots more! Everyone who worked at the hotel was super nice and helpful, and we loved the bar atmosphere coming back after a long day! It was an all around pretty and clean hotel, that had the great New York feel right when you walk in.
The only downside is there aren't really rooms with a view since it is in the middle of other buildings-so if you are going for a view, this may not be the best option. It didn't bother us much since we weren't in the room much. Also, as others mentioned there isn't a refrigerator, microwave or that type of thing in the room but we were able to request a refrigerator and a coffee maker and they were so nice and accommodated us with both! :)
We got a great deal through Groupon for this hotel and the next time we went to NY the deal wasn't available anymore so we made the bad mistake of staying at the Times Square Sheraton that was a Groupon deal at the time (that was not actually near Times Square at all and was very small, cramped and the staff was very rude) we really regretted not going back to Park Central Hotel that next time so I am hoping Park Central Hotel will be back on Groupon for our next trip in June!
We loved this hotel and highly recommend it!! I really do not think you'll be disappointed!!

I stayed here January 2018 and this is such an ideal location if you are looking to be around all of the events going on. The hotel is clean, they have nightly events at the hotel bar and it s up to date. The rooms are nice BUT they are VERY small. The view I had from my suite was of others in the hotel. Again: if you are looking to be around all the midtown events, then you will want to stay here. This photo attached was less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel!

Our trip to Manhattan overall was marvelous. One of the elevators going to our floor was out of commission for the first two days of our trip making it necessary to haul our bags up five flights of stairs but once the elevator issue was resolved the rest of the trip was fantastic. In-room coffee and complimentary wi-fi would have been appreciated but the coffee shop next door - Tisserie - had both excellent coffee AND free wi-fi. We did not care much for the print that was hanging in the bathroom but these were fairly minor annoyances. The beds have to be the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept on while away from home. By far the best trip we have ever taken and we would love to return some day.

So farrrr ( first day here), so good. It's in the Theatre District, nice... Lots of eateries, less pricey restaurants on , 9th Ave, 5-7 minute walk from hotel. Good view from the 8th floor, higher floors with broader view of city are pricier. BellMan, Nick, nice and helpful. Oh, and Concierge Rep. (don't know her name), nice, welcoming and helpful. Just a fun Street sign near the hotel. . I NY!

It's a beautiful hotel with great views. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms are very chic. (There's no mini fridge in the rooms, sorry!) A man named Emmanuel was extremely helpful in helping me settle in. Yet, my experience with the other workers here was terrible! We weren't greeted at the bar while others were. I was refused help with my luggage though I was willing to pay, and that's just the half of it. I love the hotel, but I wouldn't return.

Nice hotel. BUT BEWARE OF FEE CRAMMING. I booked a trip to NYC through Expedia. The nightly rate was approx $275/night. I checked in, stayed 2 nights. Upon leaving the hotel, I am presented with an Invoice for $67.50. For a FACILITIES FEE. $32/night plus tax. Why is this not included in the nightly room rate? Why do hotels think they can CRAM fees up travelers behinds with no consequences. Unacceptable. The fee was not disclosed by the booking agency at the time of purchase. I'll definitely be traveling to NYC again in the future. I will NEVER stay at the Park Central again. I disputed the facilities fee with the credit card company. AVOID hotels like the Park Central. There are many lovely hotels in NYC in which to stay.

I truly enjoyed my stay here- the pool parties are insanely good, the atmosphere is always bustling with warmth and hospitality. A must recommend for those that seek a natural aesthetic view with the service to match it. The employees are down to earth and always accommodating-- shout out to Gedion, who made my time here 10x as memorable!! A personal favorite hotel in Park Central and will definitely be back.

Service is so terrible you can t even imagine. They forget your requests, slip on their assurances, charge you for facility fees when their facilities are under renovations, and have no desire at all to serve their customers. Only good thing is the room location.

Good location, on QR line, close to Broadway station, close to Central Park and Times Square. Concierge was great. For the most part clean. No bed bugs. Bathroom curtains stunk, but this was replaced as soon as we told the concierge. Maid also forgot towels one day but concierge sent towels right away. If you are a light sleeper you ll hear horns honking at night and the AC is very loud (I m a light sleeper so I heard these all night, AC kept waking me up when it turned on but if you are not a light sleeper you should be fine) To get the free vouchers and breakfast deal you have to sign up through the hotel itself and not Expedia or other travel agencies, like I did. Elevators were not all working so the elevator was usually crowded. Hotel is rated at four stars but I think it should be a three because there wasn t even a fridge. A four-star should have at the very least a small fridge. Overall it was good.

This hotel has one of the best room service and employees ever. It does not offer you breakfast. For the amount that it cost. You would expect it. However it is conveniently located near plenty of great restaurants. Another good thing is that it located two and half blocks from Central park. Right across the street from Carrnige Hall. All the late night talk shows are within walking distance. As well as Radio City Music Hall. Your in the heart of all the excitements. This hotel has a great gym that offer free head phone. So that you can workout. No loud television service here. But excellent customer service.

Surprisingly large room for an NYC hotel, although it may have been because they put me on a corner?? Not sure. I was in a single King room. Nicely appointed room. Lobby was nice as well. The hotel restaurant and bar could be improved (which was omitted when giving this hotel a 5-star rating). Limited selections, and they close early for NYC.

Showed up last night. Woman at the desk said they did not have any more king premiers and had to downgrade us to a king classic. We had these reservations for months and they booked over us. It is my understanding that the first choice should be upgrading us not downgrading. The woman was rude and short with us as though we were in the wrong.
After we check out I will not be returning.

This hotel can be found in a central location conveniently near the subway, Central Park, and plenty of great places to eat and drink. The room was well taken care of but did not include a fridge or microwave as some do. The lobby and lounge were also well manicured. The hallways, on the other hand, were outdated and rundown. Door frames had chips that we're covered poorly by paint and the service cart were littered throughout the hallways at all times. The entire staff was extremely nice and respectful.

I've stayed at the Park Central Hotel in December, 2018 and I could easily say it was one of the best hotel experience in NYC and I most definitely had a few really bad ones even if they were all part of a quite popular and not so cheap hotel chains.
Apart from lovely staff and incredible customer service, the room was impeccable- very modern design, amazing view, beds/matresses extremely comfortable (rare thing for me) and next level cleanliness- that's always a deal breaker so bravo for that one guys!
One more plus :))) cuz usually I use my own toiletries but they had these lavander-pepermint CoBigelow Apothecaries stuff which I became crazy about and actually went and bought a tone for back home.

Regarding location- it was perfect for my needs at a time- most of the places I was visiting were at a walking distance (Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Guggenheim, etc) and for Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn- there was a subway right across the street from the hotel.

For sure I'll be their guest again.

Good location, but small room and bathroom. Agree with other reviews- this is a place to sleep and shower- not to hang out. Housekeeping staff was friendly. One of the big problems is the elevators- small and crowded. Long wait time which was ridiculous and frustrating. Wi-Fi is "free", but you pay for it with the facilities fee. Front desk staff was less than memorable, but Nancy in the bar was lovely. Too expensive for what you get- would not stay here again.

Post check out update:. Bill came and the $300 was not included in total, but when I checked the charge with my bank they charged $300 more that the total. Went to the front desk and I was told that the $300 would be credited immediately...But it hasn't shown up. Seems sketchy to me. The front desk staff had attitude and spoke to me like I was an idiot. Better be processed by tomorrow. There are so many other hotels in NYC....I would NOT recommend staying here.

EDIT TO ADD: Apparently this isn't the first time they've pulled this and they wanted to act like it was. Shameful!

Front desk took the word of a random woman (didn't cross check ID w/ room reservation) to allow housekeeping to enter MY room at 2:00 AM while I was half naked and sleeping.

They claim no fault as it was an "honest mistake". One that wasn't followed up with an apology note for when I woke up (after being seized with terror for almost an hour), a voicemail or call to the room, nothing.

Upon leaving at 6:00 AM because I couldn't sleep anymore, waking up every 45 minutes, I was met with a disingenuous manager who basically shrugged his shoulders until I got loud enough in the lobby and saw I was writing a report in long form, not just a quick note.

Eventually he waived the $30 facilities fee (I spent $160 including taxes for the night plus facilities fee) as if that made a difference. I was too tired to argue anymore and left.

Now the hotel is claiming they have the right to do this. Of course they do, but that doesn't mean housekeeping shouldn't knock more than ONCE and maybe announce themselves as they open the door (like EVERY OTHER HOUSEKEEPER does).

All in all, this was handled horribly and I simply wanted a night away from my apartment so I could get some much deserved rest. Instead I essentially paid to be terrorized in my own room due to the night shift front desk being completely inept.

I will never suggest this hotel to my friends, family or clientele at my shop down the street. A shame really because I'm a huge fan of CO Bigelow products and the art work in the room. Oh well.

I chose this hotel due to location and how nice it looked. I really enjoyed my stay, rooms were spacious considering. There was a bit of construction going on around the hotel so it had a net during our stay. Staff was very friendly and welcome and the bar tender showed us different areas around the city we could eat at which we truly enjoyed. The only negative was there there is not much night life or very attractive to young travels. Overall it was a good stay and enjoyed ourselves.
