I stay in the Eastwood Village location and this company is a joke. They nickel and dime you for everything and lie. Whenever you call the leasing office about an issue they never get back to you. You have to contact them several times before you can get an answer. They also lie about the rent up front during your initial move in. They will give you one charge and then when you are all set to sign the leasing agreement the rent is a different amount. They do not care about the tenants even when you are trying to be upfront about your situation. They have crazy fees associated with everything and the apartments are not spectacular. They inconvenience you coming and going. I would not even recommend my worst enemy to live in any apartment owned by Paragon Apartments. The only reason that this place was given one star by me is because that is the only way I can post this message. NO STARS!!!!!!!!!

I still live in Franklin River Apts in Southfield, MI and it's all about the money with this management co. If you call the Paragon properties they don't even give you the respect of speaking with a person. You must write a letter and wait until someone decides its worth responding. I wrote one letter a year ago and I'm still waiting to hear back. I have complained numerous times to the office that the dryer does not dry the clothes. They don't care and have not done anything about it but apologize. I have to let my clothes hang all over the apt to finish drying because I refuse to pay to dry twice, as I am already being ripped off for the first one. My son is so frustrated he doesn't even wash here anymore, he takes his clothes to a friends house; he says he done with this place because they just dont care and only care about getting the rent

Do NOT live at Paragon Property! I was a resident at Dover Hills Apartments in Kalamazoo for less than a year and in that time I had so many problems with the staff and residents (noise, drug use, etc) that I couldn't stand to continue living there. Worst of all, Paragon Properties actively tries to make it difficult to contact them, so there was really no way to report my problems to someone higher up. All-in-all, it was a terrible experience! Stay far, far away from Dover Hills and Paragon Properties!

I have lived at Westwood Village apartments for 8 years. My experience at this community was outstanding in the beginning. Since the last year or so, it has gone downhill due to people on this property. I no longer enjoy living here.

Hello Paragon, just a tip, you all might want to check up on your apartment managers. Some of the tenant complaints are founded, especially at Woodland Villas. I really hate living here now. This property has declined so much over the past few years! You should see all the cracks in my wall and my very outdated unit. It's embarrassing!

I lived in Drawbridge Apartments East for one year...

I lived in Drawbridge Apartments East for one year, March 2018-March 2019. I never had any issues and actually loved living there. The only reason I moved out was because when my lease came up for renewal they wanted an extra $75 per month in rent. That would have taken my $750 one bedroom apartment to $825 per month.

However, the reason I give them 1 star is because I have yet to receive my security deposit back. I moved out March 29th and was told it would take 30 days. Today is May 15th and I still do not have my deposit back. On May 6th, I called Amber at the corporate office to inquire about my deposit. (She did not answer the phone and I had to leave a voicemail.) She returned my call while I was at work and left me a voicemail saying that my deposit was mailed on April 19th and that she doesn t control the mail.

I called her back the same day and had to leave another voicemail because she didn t answer. I indicated that I would wait an additional week to see if it showed up and if not, I would be calling back on Monday. The deposit did not show up. I called back on Tuesday May 14th and left a third voicemail stating that I wanted whatever check they sent in the mail to be cancelled and that a new check should be written and mailed to me. Today is the 15th and she has not returned my call, nor has my deposit show up.

I would not recommend living with Drawbridge Apartments. I have done my due diligence in leaving a clean apartment at move out and providing my forwarding address multiple times. The corporate office is not completing their professional obligations in regards to my deposit.

Paragon Properties are terrible property managers. If you live in one of the properties they manage, they will FILE SUIT AGAINST YOU IN COURT IF YOU ARE 11 DAYS LATE ON YOUR RENT! In the case of the complex I live in, Westwood Village apartments, they will first charge you $75 for being a single minute late on your rent, then charge you an ADDITIONAL $112 to pay for them suing to evict you since you are 11 whole days late. At my lease signing, there was NO COPY OF THE ACTUAL LEASE PRESENT. This is a blatant violation of both the landlord-tenant act, and the Michigan Full Disclosure Act. When I moved in I was promised free heat, then 3 months later they sent me a bill for 3 months worth of heat AND a $50 fee. Turns out they lied about the free heat and did not bother to tell me for 3 months. When I told them I was promised free heat, they said basically "tough luck, that was a lie". Since the first day I applied as a resident, I have been treated with disrespect, suspicion, and greed. They have made me feel like a criminal and a sucker. Do not under any circumstances move in to a Paragon Property. You will regret it, and you will be treated like a common criminal by the management company.

Grounds staff is disrespectful to residents. Over mows vacant and friends lawns blowing debris and clippings into driveway and onto vehicles. Management ineffective. Over promise and doesn't deliver. Was supposed to have my home painted twice, both times we prepped our home and painters never showed. Management answer is to do a transfer. Hard to do when you're ill. Nice, all they seem to care about is money

It's horrible how such a terrible company can be represented by such nice people in a front office. Everyone I have talked to at my apartments agrees that paragon properties has no moral code, and does not care about anything but money. All the lupoles and hidden agreements they have in their contracts. Absolutely awful. Like we don't already have enough problems in this world. Wouldn't recommend working with this company to my worst enemy. At a loss for words for how TERRIBLE they are.

I live at the Franklin River apartment and have complaint about how the apartment for not ready for us to live there: dirty carpet, broken windows which are still broken and cold air is coming through and you can see water and mold in the window seals, toilet leak in the neighbor apartment below and how I knew that was the neighbor called the leasing office and informed them. bugs, dirty bathrooms, dirty kitchen, re-plaster in some part of the wall in the guest bedroom, living room/dining room, master bedroom, no carbon monoxide just got that from me asking, patio door screen had whole in it and the other one they put up has an small whole in that one. Had an old refrigerator that frozen my food in the refrigerator part such as: Milk, juice, leftover, cheese, eggs. They came out an took a part out of the refrig and thought that will work, (not!). Now, I need the furnace to get check due to this apartment has been vacant for a very long time and no one has live there for a while, the carbon monoxide light is red, no instruction were left , if you see the red light what to do. I see on your website how much fun you all are having, BUT your properties are horrible for the amount of money you charge people!!! My next call will to the State of Michigan and Housing in Washington DC. $1330.00 for a dump. I have from day one before I moved in what need to be replace, repair, token down rebuild, etc. for $1,330.00!! will be moving soon. I emails after email and picture of everything, when they call themselves cleaning the carpet that was a joke I video tape that! carpet is old and full of germs!!!!!!. We are human just like you are, so fix your *&^%$ properties, SLUMLORD!!!

rising rental costs. been here 5 years and went from $800 to $910. Talked them down $20 but Ive only missed one payment in that time. You'd think quality tenants meant something. My new neighbors are noisy, fight, curse at 2-3 at night. hot water always goes out, scenery sucks, no updates to the apartment. I'm out of here before next year.

Went to Lakeside Village looking for a two bedroom...

Went to Lakeside Village looking for a two bedroom. Julie was great. She showed us the model and spent so much time with us. She was great with our kids and offered us drinks. She asked us what we wanted to keep rent around. We really liked the entire deal until she went back to look at what they would have available around the time we wanted to move. She came out and said she found something great, which she did. We loved it. What we did not love was the fact that it was almost $100 more than what we said our MAX was for rent. The leasing manager (who we did not get the name of and wouldn't come out of the office and talk to us himself) had told her to give it to us on "special" for one dollar below our max rent amount....for the first SIX months. So we would have a rent hike of almost $100 in six months. We were so bummed because we loved what we were seeing so far (tho we did not see an actual unit or even inside an actual resident building. We saw only the models which are built into their office center.) we asked if we could get back to them within 24 hours so we could have time to figure out if we could do that and see if we had peace about moving there. It was less than AN HOUR to close there. She went back to the office and asked "the man behind the curtain" and he said no. We had to decide in minutes or it was gone. We know better. We don't act when we don't have peace. But we had been searching so long and hard for a home. We have two babies. We want a good place for them to live. This is important to us. So we foolishly jumped on it and applied and gave them $100 dollars for the applications (something we really couldn't do at the time. But we were worried we would miss something great.) everything went so quickly. And our kids were starting to fuss and we were stressed and made a rash decision. The very next morning my husband emailed them and said we wouldn't be supplying the rest of the papers they needed from us to apply because of the used car salesmen tactics and how stressed we were over it. They called us back and said that they had run the background check already (that's soon!!) so they were keeping our money and maybe they could talk to the manager to get the "special" he created out of thin air to last longer (all of this is just up to him since he made it up to begin with.) we said no. If this is how they deal to get you in, we don't want to know what an issue is like with them when locked into a lease. Really upset with myself for getting taken. We are smarter than that. And I'm upset about loosing a hundred dollars out of my kids' mouths. Not letting this happen again. We have our thick skin and solid heads on now.

We paid $500 at this particular location for over 3 years. Paragon Apartments took over under foreclousure and decided that our rent has been always $625/month when we had documentation that said that our rent was $500/month. They wouldn't let us see the documentation that we gave them. They also came up with a obnoxious fee and we cannot figure out where it came from after we did the simple math. We have had bad credit and pretty much they will evict us based on that we have bad credit.

If Paragon Apartments takes over, make sure that you move out immediately or you may be deemed liars and pay absorbent fees.

I really hope the owner sees this suggestion. I live at Park Lane Apartments and I ve lived here for four years. The reason I ve stayed so long is because I love the private entry, in unit washer & dryer and this area is fairly safe.

I transferred from a two bedroom upper to a one bedroom upper and the transfer to the new apartment was horrific. A week before the move I wanted to see the apartment and was told the current tenant had not left yet. Since I trusted the staff I figured I would at be able to see the unit the day before moving in, because no one moves into a home or purchase anything without seeing it. At any rate, I was told that the counters in the kitchen were just sprayed with paint and I couldn t go into the apartment because the fumes were too strong . I must admit, the counters in the kitchen and bathrooms in my old unit were sprayed as well and I didn t know that until I moved in and started cleaning. I was shocked to see how much paint was on my dish towel. I can only imagine how much paint came in contact with my food as we know that paint is very toxic. Needless to say, I told the gentleman in the office that I would definitely need to see the unit first thing that morning of the move because I hired a moving company for 10:00 and he told me the office would be open at 9:00. I trusted the staff because they are always nice and professional.

The next morning I arrived at the office at 0900 to see the apartment and start the move in process shortly after. To my disappointment, the gentleman was not there and I was told the cleaners were not scheduled to come in to clean the apartment until 11:00. My movers were on their way and I couldn t believe the apartment had not at least been cleaned prior to me moving that same day. Upon viewing the apartment with one of the employees, I was completely mortified at how filthy the apartment was and I know that is the fault of the previous tenant, but the fact that I had mover coming and would be moving in within hours was not a good thing. The facet was leaking and the carpet was filthy. The fumes from paint was unbearable, it was extremely strong. That night I kept fans going because I was afraid to open the windows because the screens had holes in it and one screen had tape around the boarder.

This is a beautiful place area, but I will not renew my lease the apartments should be a little more updated. At least were we prepare food.
