We chose the parador, mainly because of its surroundings and because it was close to Madrid, since we were going with a baby and did not want to take a long trip.

As there was low occupancy, they gave us the junior suite with the cot for the baby included at no additional cost, it was a pleasant surprise because I don't think we could afford to pay for a suite like this in the future and thanks to the generosity of Paradores we have already experienced a experience that we found difficult to have. The suite was spacious, it was located in the old part of the parador.
The parador offers several common rooms, with comfortable sofas to read quietly in front of a lit fireplace, as well as tables to play games that they themselves offer (monopoly, ludo, etc ...). They also have a games room with billiards, table tennis and a space with toys for children. They also have a wonderful viewpoint, as well as large terraces where you can watch the sunset. In turn, they have books in the speakers' room, where the Constitution was created.
Impeccable customer service, as always. It is one of the main reasons that make us choose hostels for our getaways.
As for the restoration, the breakfasts are one pass, they have everything and of great quality, what made me most excited were the croutons. The meals both in the restaurant and in the cafeteria are also highly recommended, the custard a delight.

Wunderful hotel in the country typical PARADOR concept. which means to preserve an old listed building by giving it a public function such as wellness resort, hotel, B&B etc. who serve local food in traditional interiors etc. Parador de Gredos ranks among the best of these and boast superb scenery, great food (both breakfast, dinner) and exemplary staff. (std) Rooms are tidy, well equiped and cool. Do not expect modern Hilton style, that's not the idea here. I love it. Very near the Sierra de Gredos you can go for hikes, mountain walks and meet the wildlife.

Ideal place to stay if you want to visit the Sierra de Gredos on its northern slope. The attention of the staff was correct except that he did not understand why having free rooms at the same rate assigned room 522 that you look out the window and see a wall at 2 meters with how easy it is to leave the customer happy. The right room but you can improve the mattress and pillow. The dining room very well, hearty and well prepared dishes. There is no denying that it is a Parador in a beautiful environment and that the employees are very friendly, but that you book for a ROMANTIC weekend, invest almost 300 to be well relaxed, enjoy the lounges, fireplaces, rest and tranquility of the site and you find dogs barking at 8:30 in the morning and at 10 at night, plus a barrage of children running, screaming and jumping through the halls, the restaurant, the corridors, makes the charm melt like the snow that no longer existed, it is disappointing and annoying to have lost money in this way because if I had known it, I chose another room, where they really complied with what they offered, I do not mind paying, but do not give me a hare. I would not go back. u much less I will recommend it to anyone who wants to relax and rest

I just spent one night there with my whole family (including my dog Bambi) and I have to say that the treatment surprised me a lot, when I got to the room my dog had a bed for her, a plate for water and two pouches of food damp. They have treated my pet just as well as the rest of my family.
As a suggestion I only decorate that they do not allow pets to enter the food areas, which is not advertised anywhere. And this if it would be appreciated, that they could also be part of it. Otherwise everything a 10 !! The employees all have all been attentive to any request !! Without a doubt it is a place where I will return with my pet !!

A very quiet place where you are in the middle of nature. You can make the route near the Parador where you see very nice things. The attention is very nice. We always go with the cats, since at the Parador they let animals.

Parador located in a privileged environment. It was the first Parador in the network and it shows a lot in its facilities. Wooden dreams covered in pretty old carpets. The rooms have been remodeled, especially in the bathrooms but they have not included air conditioning in the rooms and in the summer days in the Sierra de Gredos you suffer and a lot, although at night cool is a big problem. Acceptable breakfast although a little expensive ( 16) and your coffee fails. Staff very friendly and professional.

Much to my regret, since I am passionate about Paradores, I have to qualify my stay at the Parador de Gredos as bad. Determined reception staff and cafeteria are accommodated and forget the friendliness and quality as indisputable values of this brand. In a privileged environment, its spectacular chimneys had ridiculous fires, almost toy and as if they had the wood counted. At breakfast you had to order the fried eggs to be made and several of the Buffet products took a long time to recover. A pity, we should give a return to the staff and remind them what it means to belong to the Paradores brand. There is everything to do.

The place like other paradores has spectacular views. The building feels a bit old. Another issue is that there is a lack of staff to serve customers, it is not logical to wait 15 minutes for them to take notice. Of course, those who attend do very well.

A hostel located in a spectacular place, service and attention of ten. Good restaurant, very rich breakfasts but maybe a little slow replenishing ... the classic rooms, with charm and so you have a view of Gredos ... spectacular. It is worth a walk through the woods at the foot of the Parador, accessed by the left of the parking, beautiful circular walk.

It is the first Parador that was made and is where our Constitution was signed. The atmosphere is great, the staff charming and the place has a lot of charm.

Have a coffee looking at the Sierra de Gredos. A nice place. A classic. The people are kind. Wifi, a shame. It's great that there is no WiFi in the mountains, but in the Parador, it should.

Excellent emplacement in the forest, games room... Plus usual well doing of Paradores, at the very first Parador, from 1928. Actually only negative point is the room (suite) was kinda dirty, anything but common in Paradores.

I think, it was one of the first Paradores (if not the first). Everyone should visit one of our Paradores even when it was to sit in one of its rooms and have a coffee. The service and attention in excellence. Visit the National Parador de Gredos and ... its wonderful surroundings.
