Friendly staff, lots of choice for pancakes. Mine ...
Friendly staff, lots of choice for pancakes. Mine arrived just on the edge of being burnt, but was still very nice.

The place is small, but they serve the best savory and sweet pancakes, it also gives a key holder in the form of a hoof as a souvenir
dutch pancakes are really delish. a bit expensive in my point of view. but worth a visit while you are in amsterdam
They seriously have the best pancakes I have ever ever eaten. I can't recommend this place more. Service is top notch, you get recognised if you come back and you just want to go back there for more. If you are in Amsterdam and want to experience good pancakes, this is where you go. I will come back, just for this. Superb!!
Good Dutch pancakes. If you like a heavy breakfast you ll leave hungry unless you order more than one plate & about 12 per pancake ( you get one per order)
Delicious food and friendly staff. I had made a special order of veggie which is not in the menu.
Three times we were already here. I highly recommend the pancake with apple or with salmon. The pancake with camembert did not taste so good. So rather to the sweet variants
Very expensive, small restaurant but delicious and freshly prepared
It feels so special and it doesn't have a special taste .. .. It's not good to eat at this price.
Unfortunately, this turned out to be both an unpleasant and disappointing experience and I'd definitely give this restaurant a skip. Don't be conned by the 'authentic pancake' experience slogan. The food is a fusion of every nationality on the planet. The service was cold, unfriendly and slow. They got my 'design your own pancake' order wrong, and still charged for the missing ingredients. The food is way overpriced for the quantity and quality that you get, and unfortunately, the taste was seriously bland and disappointing. Be prepared to bump elbows with people at the table next to you as the restaurant is seriously small and cramped. Not to be repeated I'm afraid.
Server was extremely rude and the place is cramped, if you sit at a table of your choice the server will rudely tell you to move. The pancakes weren t great either very basic and bland. There are better places, would not recommend.
Terrible service. After waiting in a queue to be seated, we waited a further hour to be served only our orange juice. No info about why the food was delayed, staff seemed uninspired, fed up and irritated by the fact they had to serve customers. No pancake is worth an hour wait. Avoid and go elsewhere.
Delicious but sometimes there can be an hour long wait.
This place is amazing for pancakes. We had to wait 5 minutes but only because the food is so good and the stuff are so friendly! Still deserves 5 star from me.
Had the Dutch pancakes with Bacon and Apples (#3)--very unique... Just don't expect to be served any Mrs. Butterworths! Sat at one of the only two outdoor tables (they totally jammed us in behind some fat American girl that looked just like Hurley from "Lost") and had to put up with all the people waiting to be seated just staring at us while we ate.
Amazing gluten free pancakes and one of the best coffees in Amsterdam. Quick and friendly service in really nice surroundings.
The pancakes here are amazing, the best we've had in Amsterdam. The coffee and tea are also fantastic. They provide free postcards that you can colour at you table as well, a nice touch! Pancake #14 is my favorite (Cheese, Mushrooms, Bacon and Bell Peppers)
Pancakes galore Gluten Free and regular with anything you want from smoked salmon to simple Dutch stroop or goat cheese. Busy and line up is worth waiting for!!!
Amazing!! Worth waiting the queue! The pancakes is delicious and feel like Amsterdam authentic.
I tried the spinach mushroom and pancake cheese pancakes. It was absolutely gorgeous
Grqat place but busy, gluten free pancakes available
These are the best pancakes I've ever had anywhere. I love them so much that I'm bringing my husband there for his birthday this year all the way from Florida. Will see you in December can't wait
Great place with gluten free pancakes. I can only recommend it!
Delicious on the terrace in the sun. In addition to pancakes, many more goodies.
"This place was great. Talk about adding a fun and unique spin to crepes. Located right in the heart of Amsterdam, I came across this place while touring the city. Truly a hidden gem." - Ansel Ponce Diama
Very good Dutch pancakes. The savoury ones were particularly great. Try the smoked salmon and avocado pancake!
Rude staff, we went there and guy said hi and we walked in and he just told us dont go there you just wait here. So we waited and he told us to go outside and sit on the bench. So we left. Pancakes looked good.
A sweet little spot for pancakes. A little greasy, would give 3.5 stars but the service was top notch and they allowed pets indoors and offered water.
Very good Dutch pancakes, prices in line with those of the city
Amazing pancakes - from a simple banana pancake to the specials of the month everything seems to be outstanding. Come early, and be prepared to wait in line.
October 19, 2020. Takeaway only. Complete disappointment
Good food but service was minimal. Price expensive for what it is. No hello, no smile, nothing.
I really enjoyed the pancakes. Great service and quality.
It was crowded but I put it right away. Unlike American pancakes, they were thin so you could eat them. There were many drinks. I heard Japanese here and there because it was in the guidebook.
This is an excellent choice for getting your pancake fix, be it sweet or savoury. I always stop by when I'm in Amsterdam.
Excellent place! Worth the wait. They have gluten free pancakes that are delicious, great drinks, and fun and friendly staff! It's very reasonably priced and you can really get whatever type of pancakes you want (sweet and savory).
They had messed up my order and usually that makes me automatically give a bad review as I have Coeliac's, but they immediately gave us a free drink and remade the order very quickly!
There was a line outside when we got there but we still were in and out quickly. The portions for a pancake we're huge and I'm definitely stuffed for the day!
Strongly recommend whether GF or not.
Tldr:
Pros:
- gluten free
- amazing staff
- delicious food
- great drinks and latte art
- huge variety of pancakes
Cons:
- a bit warm inside in the summer, but that's more Amsterdam generally without air conditioning
- a bit small, so probably a short (5-20 min) wait
- physically inaccessible (not wheelchair accessible)
Nice brunch in one of the nine streets - real Amsterdam feeling.
Yuuum! Had the apple almond & banana almond. Super classic! Super yummy!
The pancakes are actually doughy crepes. I ordered the banana deluxe with nuts and chocolate which was nothing special. Nuts & bananas were mixed in the dough rather than sprinkled on top. Service was good & they give u user name & password to access wifi for 15 min.
Awesome pancakes here. They serve both American and Dutch style. There is usually a queue out the door and they only accept pin/credit card, but it is definitely worth it!
Delicious and cozy ,, good place to start your day ,,but it s so busy
Very good pancakes but definitely not worth the wait time that there is sometimes. I would recommend eating here but only if you can skip the rush
One of my first stops each time I'm in Amsterdam. Lovely pancakes and even nicer staff. Loving this place. Xx girl with many tattoos xx
Tiny restaurant but delicious pancakes. You may have a bit of a wait but it's certainly worth it.
Super pancakes in many selectable variations. The service was great too. However, you can only pay by card, cash payment is not possible.
Fantastic pancakes! Small place though so there is likely a wait.
It was full at that time, I had to wait for around 30 mins. The people were really nice and friendly. I had their Dutch pancake (the apple one) which was pretty big but thin, it tasted okay, not really impressive. The place is really small, only fit around 30 people. Make sure u come at nom-peak hours
Pancakes are really good here!
The place is small and very busy, we were really lucky when we got there people were just leaving.
They also gave us cute little clog key rings with are bill which sweet.
Space was a little tight but the pancakes were great!
Pancakes are good but definitely not the best. If you go to the cafe "PLUK" almost opposite of "PANCAKES", there you will find better pancakes.
The pancake is sooooo good. But don't forget to bring your credit/ debit card to pay, no cash.
Nice staff, food very tasty and the menu online in other languages with pictures available. Toilets available.
Tasty gluten free pancakes it s a small place so not sure what it s like at peak times but we were lucky to be seated straight away. Staff are really bubbly and energetic, it was quite the experience. I loved that it was card only as I rarely carry cash. We ordered one savoury and one sweet and split it between us. Lovely!
Employees are very rude and yelled at us when we asked to order juice and sit outside
Greatest pancakes in AMS! great service and delicious food
An Argentine's restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam!
Awesome pancakes. Must visit to any Amsterdam first timers.
Went with friends on Sunday morning. Lovely, cosy place with delicious pancakes-both sweet and savoury. Only waited for 10 minutes or so to get inside.
Good pancakes but you can have better in other places
Delicious pancakes, lots of options. Both savory and sweet types.
Unpretentious but pleasant classic of an Amsterdam pancake and ideal for resting during a stopover.
Very good pancakes. The veggie one is excellent, with a very good pesto sauce. The American pancakes are fluffy and delicious. The place was crowded but we've waited just 10 minutes et were served very quickly. My son was very happy to get a little souvenir from the restaurant. A little bit expensive but food and service are excellent. Very good experience!
Delicious pancakes! The place is a bit too small though.
Pancakes are five out of five through and through! Four stars is because they charge for water.
You should eat with ice cream. A place to visit at least once.
Great pancakes, both sweet and savory. Around lunch there will always be a queue but it's worth the wait!
Long waiting times (for this location because it is tiny! There are two more that we have seen that seemed much bigger and modern) but really worth it! I went for a savoury option: smoked chicken and zucchini pancake! Slightly overpriced.
Very good pancakes, but a strange organization. Service is rather slow.
