A quaint "Up North" diner that offers a variety of solid food. Great spot to relax and take in that old school feel. Service is great and food is reasonably priced. Breakfast is definitely their best meal of the day. They also have a soup and salad bar which is all you can eat.

Good buffet, friendly service. Everything in the buffet was fresh except for the bagels that were rock hard. Eggs were classic buffet style, so-so. Sausage and gravy was delicious. Coffee was decent too.

Pancake Chef was very good. The food was delicious! All four of us chose the buffet and were not disappointed. Everything was excellent especially the coffee! The sausage was perfectly cooked, the bacon was crispy, everything was really good. We will go again, definitely

Eat a whole bunch, and then eat some more. This was the first place I've ever had biscuits and gravy and actually enjoyed them, and their Gluten Free options did not cause any reactions regarding cross-contamination. Would recommend this breakfast stop, as we went twice in 3 days.

Decided to go here over Toast A Go-Go with my family due the reviews. I was a little scared when I saw the "Hormel" name being advertised so prominently in the menu as the source for most of their breakfast meats, but the food was actually pretty good. I got some scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, and pancakes, with a cup of coffee. The scrambled eggs came out more like a lightly cooked empty omelette, all in one piece folded into a pile, which was strange but tasted just fine. The pancakes were solid, pretty average. The corned beef hash was actually really good and surprised me. The coffee was like the pancakes, good but pretty average.

Nothing remarkable, but a good, well-made breakfast and good service. I'd definitely eat here again if I'm ever back in Mackinaw.

Had to wait an hour. The buffet was not kept up. The prices ridiculous for the subpar food. The reviews aren't all truthful. Maybe some even lie for reasons. Rather eat McDonald's breakfast.

A MUST-DO WHILE YOU'RE IN MACKINAW!! I am from the South and am admittedly judgmental of sausage gravy, having had my share of box mix disappointments at various restaurants, but THIS?! INCREDIBLE. I had my first northern MI pastie that came with the most delicious homemade sausage gravy. My husband loved his cinnamon roll French toast and we shared pumpkin pancakes (a cozy, welcome Fall flavor in mid-June!). The staff couldn't be more welcoming and wonderful. I'll rarely take the time to leave a review on much, but this was above and beyond my culinary expectations. We will be back tomorrow morning before we leave town and will make it a stop on every trip North!

This restaurant was hopping but we were in no hurry and it was worth it!
The wait was estimated 30-40 min but it took 1 hour and 15 min.
All the staff were very kind and professional. Our waitress Penny was the kindest lady and got us what we ordered and more. She was special.
There was a brunch buffet that looked very popular but it was expensive so we ordered from the menu. Our food came out quick. The omelette was great and very large, must have been 3-4 eggs full of toppings. The cinnamon bun French toast was amazing but the pancakes were pretty good as well.
The restaurant was a bit dated and worn but felt clean.
We will be back. Highly recommended!

Went here for there breakfast buffet an was not impressed, the eggs weren't cooked properly, the pancakes an biscuits were dry, not to mention the prices were outrageous for three adults an a four year old it was $100 not including tip, $12 just for two glasses of orange juice. My family an I will not return!

Great breakfast spot in Mackinaw City. We went on a Sunday morning around 11am and it was packed! 30 minute wait for a table. No big deal. The breakfast was incredible. I highly recommended the Breakfast Pastie. Service was exceptional as well.

Very long wait times (30 minutes to get in, slow to cook food), told the waitress I didn't like my meal at all and she didn't even bother to apologize, let alone comp the meal or discount it. Got seated in the center of the room with my service dog (understandable, they're very busy and wanted to seat us as quickly as possible) but then waitresses kept stepping over her the whole time because the table was too small for her to fit under entirely. Didn't check to make sure we didn't need anything often, slacked on refills once the meal came.
