Visiting the Netherlands and skipping this palace ...

Visiting the Netherlands and skipping this palace / museum is really impossible. Even now that a major renovation is being carried out. There is plenty to see and experience. Beautiful garden. Beautiful park. The crown domain of more than 10,000 ha is an oasis of peace and you can easily meet the deer, roe deer and wild boars.

Was nice, not that busy, nice walk through the gardens and the park / forest.
Rest for an hour under a tree.
Actually wanted to jump into that big pond, but didn't know if it was allowed, so didn't do it.
Successful day.
The garden is well maintained and the workers are very nice.

The outdoor fair spirit or winter was disappointing. For 17.50 euros entrance you can expect that there are many original and different stalls. And that there are enough toilets.
If you like women's clothing, knitted clothes, wool, hats and rusty accessories, then you should go there.
The carriage museum is fun.
Palace 't Loo is being renovated

The most special exhibitions every year. We love to walk around the gardens of the palace. You can easily come here by bicycle from our bed and breakfast. Vierhouten, Gortel then Apeldoorn. We also want to visit the musical this year. Guests with us brought this to our attention.

Definitely a good tourist attraction to at least visit once when coming to holland. Beautifully kept garden, too bad the palace is closed for a few years due to renovations. Still the garden is worth a visit.

The place has enchanted me. The grounds, the car shows, the restaurant, the facilities, and the staff have made a great impression on me. I must regret that the Palace is not visiting because it is under construction, but the rest of the facilities make you forget that detail. The only downside that I see with the gardens is how exposed they are to inclement weather. During my visit, we experienced scorching heat, and much of the gardens without a shade to shelter under. For one euro (round trip), they take you from the entrance to the gardens. At the end of them, you can catch your breath and contemplate the gardens with the Palace in the background by taking something that you can buy at a kiosk. A totally recommended visit that I finished off in the souvenir shop, with articles of all prices and very original.

Beautiful gardens. Can't wait to go back and see the house once the work is complete. Note: the peacock is crafty and will stand in front of the do not feed the peacock sign, obscuring it until after you have fed him. Don't be fooled like I was.

Very beautiful and extensive palace grounds, that were very frequently used by queen Wilhelmina when she lived there. However, the palace itself is currently closed because they're transforming it into a museum. And the tickets aren't any cheaper to make up for it. That said, there's plenty left to see in the park and on the roof of the palace. And the staff is excellent, very helpful in explaining things about the castle and how it was used by the royal family. Just be aware that everything is outside now, so keep an eye on the weather when you plan to come here. Parking for any longer than exactly 2 hours will cost you Euro 7,50, so if you come by car add that to the ticket price. Worth a visit.

Leuk om zeker eens te gaan bezoeken. Als je alles wilt zien, het paleis, de tuinen en het park trek er dan voldoende tijd vooruit. Zeker als je ook nog eens gezellig in het restaurant wat wilt drinken en of eten.

Het Loo Palace is located in the heart of the Netherlands, near the town of Apeldoorn, Gelderland. The estate is over 300 years old and is known as the Dutch Versailles because of the beautiful gardens built in French style since the construction of the castle. The mansion is a site of national importance, it is a monument of culture and is open to visitors from the beginning of May until the end of October from 10 am to 5 pm on Tuesdays to Sundays inclusive. The ticket price for adults is 14.50 EUR, for children under 3 years the entrance is free of charge.

The area is fascinatingly beautiful, the geometric-precise beauty of the surrounding world is built with taste and love for centuries. Shooting in the palace is allowed, the only condition is to avoid lightning, lamps and to keep as quiet as possible in the palace labyrinths, as if we do not awaken or worry the spirits of the aristocratic individuals who peer through the portraits of different sizes, oatmeal the walls of the entire palace cloister.

Landscaping in this vast terrain, French, English and German architects worked in royal gardens and parks. Surrounding space is a fine embroidery with incredible colorful panels and extremely fine green areas. The colorful fairy is complemented by romantic walkways, covered with gravel, statues and fountains. A warning: wear closed, low and comfortable shoes.

Wonderful for a tourist visit place and wonderful for a close encounter with Dutch history. I recommend with pleasure. There is a paid parking, the price is 5 Euro per car, regardless of the stay.

A good look at where your taxes and taxes went in the 17/18 / 19th century.

There are nice props from that time to see beautiful painting and beautifully decorated rooms.

The garden is beautiful and well cared for.

Prachtig museum. Schitterende tuinen. In tegenstelling tot wat gezegd wordt mag er binnen in het paleis gewoon gefotografeerd worden, maar wel zonder flits. Een goede camera kan dit op de meeste plaatsen prima aan :-)

Very nice French garden by the castle. The castle is under renovation (reopening in 2021), but an uncomplicated view of the construction site and park from the roof. One would wish for so much courage (?) From German museum administrators. After climbing the stairs, the supervisor asked whether you would like to drink some water! Heard something like that in D? My respect for the Dutch organizers and museum staff.
Worth a visit despite the current construction site.

Anyone who knows Versailles does not imagine that there is a competitor on Earth: Paleis Het Loo! When France and Holland disputed the hegemony in Europe in the seventeenth century, Guillaume de Orange was not obliged and built a beautiful Palace with Dutch Baroque architecture, with beautiful gardens, worthy to leave the Sun King with envy.

All this despite the Palace being undergoing renovations and only reopening in 2021
