Painted Plate Review

Very busy but was able to walk in and choose plate. The girls were happy and professional. Cked in on us a few times. Step above customer service.

We love going there and when you go 5 times your sixth one is free!

Painted plate is always a nice calm place to go if you like to paint and enjoy drinks + food. Service this time was less than enjoyable, however. It took more than half an hour to be helped after having asked to be helped three times. Since it's mother's day and they were quite busy it was understandable so I'd say service is very good when it's not a special event. Really love this place.

A wonderful couples or family experience. Pricey but you get a lasting piece of art and the staff are VERY willing to help you if they aren't busy, which is often. Looking for a unique date? THIS IS IT!

I have been to this place two times already and so far I haven't had any problems. Its a good place for birthday party's and to take kids to. Its very fun.

Fun little shop. Great place to relax, drink some coffee, and let your creative juices flow.

It was Fun..nice to do with just a friend/parent/sibling or as a larger group. You can bring your own food/drink if you do a party, but you can also enjoy warm or cold beverages there as well as Ice cream!

Take a friend or loved one and have fun here. A great place to create something. They serve tea, coffee, beer and wine. The ice cream is very good too. For the kids or a little later for date night it is a nice place.

I am obsessed! I could literally spend an entire afternoon there. Perfect for a date! Its unique and creative! My best friend and I took our daughters there for thier 8th birthday!

So much fun, we absolutely love it here. The staff are wonderful - always helpful and nice, even during the busiest peaks. The last time we were here they were short staffed but one of the employees (who happened to be shopping downtown) just popped in to help out during the rush! Best to make a reservation if you're bringing a group.

Fun place to spend a couple hours on a rainy day or evening. Tons of options to paint at varying price points and usually a special available to paint and get a treat for a set price. You have to go back 5 days after to get your piece and parking is a bit frustrating.

Perfect place to unwind. They have a nice little menu& the friendliest staff. My friend & I had a wonderful afternoon catching up while painting

Me and my kiddo always come here when we need an art break. They re kind and supportive of whatever we re working on. They encourage my son to be as playful and creative on his pieces which I appreciate. Thank you ladies!

Staff is usually very friendly, there's only been a couple times where they've been kinda rude. Quality is good and their drinks and food is delicious.

There are so many options of what you can paint. This was my first time and I plan on coming back sooner than later. The one thing I would say is it gets very full with people and when/if you meed to get up it makes it hard to do so. Overall great experience and the staff was great

So much a fun date or hangout location. You can sip on cafe drinks or eat ice cream while painting pottery. I definitely would recommend making reservations ahead of time.

Beautiful ceramic studio to paint your own treasure. I took my friend and her two girls (11 and 9) and we had a fun time picking colors and encouraging each other. The staff was very friendly (Meadow) and kept a very busy pace. While they did have a $22 per person special we chose our own projects so it was a bit more expensive ($130 - included our beverages and the ceramics [a tea mug, donut shaped keepsake box, unicorn bank and large plate] we chose). They provided all the paints and brushes and did the cleanup work. This weekend we can pick up our finished products (once they've been fired) and the kids can't wait. Definately recommend this (allow a couple hours) experience for family and friends!

My wife & I go here every year for our anniversary and paint coasters together. We are painting ornaments as a family this year and hope to make that a tradition as well. This is an incredibly fun local business that gives back to the community year after year. If you are in Olympia and looking to do something fun and different stop in and create some art! Ice cream, coffee, appetizers and wine are available as well. Perfect!

The painted plate is a great place to paint anything from plates to figurines. They also have a rotating choice of drinks and a small variety of snacks and food. It's good for small parties or solo.

Always very crowded and hard to enjoy yourself while everything seems so caotic

This is one of the funnest places my girlfriends and I hang out at. It's everything you need in life, coffee, company and painting! On the weekends they are super crowded in the evenings. So try to go on a week day or early on a weekend. They also have a punch card system so you come for five visits and your sixth is free! It's a bit spendy but worth the fun, experience, and memories you'll make when you stop by.

Obviously THE place to go to paint pottery, but it's less well known that they are one of the best ice cream spots in all of Olympia.

Great experience! Stayed in Olympia for a softball tournament and decided to take some time to paint some stuff! We had a great time and good coffee too!

WE LOVED COMING HERE!!! I brought my daughter here for a mommy daughter date. They have tons of different things to choose from. Along with pottery, they offer snacks and beverages. My coffee was so good and my daughter loved her Italian soda. We had such a good time and look forward to going again.

My wife and I took my nieces for a day out. Called ahead and made a reservation, no problems. There were quite a few people there but it was handled very efficiently. I was surprised at the variety of items you could paint. Not just different sizes and styles or plates but bowls, cups, animals, shapes, even dinosaurs! Hungry? Order some snacks. Thirsty? Have an Italian soda, regular soda, some beer, even wine.

I absolutely adore this place. It is one of my favorite date night spots and I love taking the kids I nanny here too! The staff is fun and friendly, the ice cream is very tasty and they often have unique flavors. Plus they have a huge range of things you can choose from to paint!

Excellent selection of things to paint, and they have an extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. The prices can vary extensively by the item you choose to paint. They also serve ice cream, wine, beer, coffee drinks, and a great selection of finger food.

I love painting, ice cream, hot chocolate, and hanging out with friends, so the Painted Plate is the perfect outing for me.

I took my Daughter and 2 of her friends there on her Birthday. The girls had a blast!! I can't say enough kind words about the staff. They are super nice and helpful. Just a all around great experience. We will definitely be back!!!

This place is so fun, especially to spend quality time doing and activity with friends and family. They have budget friendly pieces and lots of tools to help express creativity.

Picked up some "to go" pieces yesterday. It will be perfect for 'art class' for my Littles.

I just stopped into this shop on a whim to try their ice cream. I was amazed at how good the customer service is here. And their ice cream is very good. I had a wonderful experience here, and plan on coming back to try their food, wine, and pottery experience.

This place is great, plan to be there at least 2 hours but that's still rushing it. It's fun for all ages and you control the quality of what you take home. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, the cost is worth the time and what you get to take home.

Fun for date night. Great for making gifts for friends and family. Let your creative side out. It doesn't matter if you don't think you are an artist, just let the paint fly. You will surprise yourself. I like the fact you can get coffee, ice cream and wine or cider plus snacks. Keeps the creative juices flowing.

They broke my plate I spent hours painting, planned on giving as a gift... To make it even worse they dont give refunds they only give in store credit... For how much it costs it was quite frustrating.

Frist time travel to Olympia, and we find this studio on the way to a cafe. We are attracted by all the pottery stuffs in display window. The instruction from the staffs are very detailed, they welcome all kinds of questions . We have great times there. Do come earlier, it will get crowded on holiday.

Going next weekend again, very fun place and convenient. Easy set up for novice and expert to enjoy pottery together. Last time I went was last summer, my biggest complaint was no air conditioning. It was almost unbearable. Hard to relax when you are sweating and uncomfortable. I do recommend coming, just maybe not in the heat.

First time going, went with a group, and had a blast! The color squares helped us pick our colors. I made an absolute mess just like when I'm painting at home. The ladies working that night were kind, helpful, and bubbly. The place has an atmosphere of fun, even late at night =D

A fantastic experience but I did find the lack of a comprehensive guide of what to do, fortunately my girlfriend was there to tell me what was happening besides that wonderful service and a wonderful product.

Expensive and the quality of the pottery is not great. It breaks extremely easily.

This is my favorite date spot. I am a Halloween freak, and as a Mexican I LOVE all of the Dia De Los Muertos pottery options.
This place is very inclusive and always puts a smile on our faces on date day!

Fun date place. My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's and I really enjoyed it. The staff was very helpful and my coffee was wonderful.

Wonderful as always! The staff is super helpful and there is a ton of awesome stuff to paint. Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours here :)

It is on the spendy side, but the time I spent with my date was quite enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Need a larger shop. Gets to crowded you can't enjoy your time. Has become very pricey.

Wonderful. They have classes to help you or you can free paint. My only issue which is not a big deal, is how much the ice cream cost. One scoop cost three $! No other issues. If you want a break than feel free to come here. You can even go on the website and reserve seats. Very entertaining for all ages.
