Just don't book this property, very poor service at the Padma Resort . Not to say the staff aren't pleasant, they just don't understand customer service. Like a robotic twitch, they repeatedly say they're sorry but it's only for appeasement. When asked why they're sorry or what they will change with the service inadequacies, you get the "that's not in my script" confusion look. When looking for a taxi at the hotel, the transportation staff will get you a vehicle but with a catch. When we asked the driver why the price was so high, he told us he had to kick back 20% of the over-priced fare to the hotel. You just never got the feeling the staff were working for you. We paid USD $520 per night for this place and it's, at best, a 3 star tour package kind of hotel. Far better choices in Bali for that price.

Beautiful place. Very big, lots of different areas to relax. 4 swimming pools, 2 with swim up bars. The upstairs infinity edge pool is high roller. Happy hour there is a must There's a handful of bars within a 5 minute walk. I'm already planning a return trip... and we're still here for another 2 nights. Not cheap, but you have to pay for quality.

The correspondence of breakfast and staff is the best. I also enjoyed morning yoga. When the Japanese staff were not at the front desk, I was able to ask questions (in Japanese) on the line. It is recommended.

There are only 5 stars and it's great.

There are only 5 stars and it's great.
Above all the correspondence of the staff is the best.
The hotel is very large site and there are a lot of passages, so I get lost when I go back to my room (laughs)
There are a number of pools and the lagoon pool is perfect for a family.
Couples and women are recommended to use the infinity pool.
The hotel is quiet and it is dark and scary to walk on the grounds at night, but it is bustling to go outside one step.
But you are not in a fashionable city.
Is it a very nice hotel, so why not relax in the hotel without going out?
Morning buffet is rich in variety, so I wonder how to eat this (laughs)
In the evening, I enjoyed the dinner buffet while watching the dance (Kecha on this day).

I stay here for one night with my sister's family. i come here by motorcycle online rent because i used to live at Denpasar. The hotel has a tight security process with whom that come inside. You need to leave your ID if you want to get inside. After i met the hotel staff and talk via phone speaker with my sister, it got more easier. Alhamdulillah. They trust me, i am a good person :) I love to be here. Its so closest to the beach legian and i do try to swim at their pool. They have big pool for grown up and small pool for children. They also have water aerobic exercise, that is fun and gather all people to socialize on the pool. the architecture is so pretty with balinese & modern style and the food... yes the food is sooooo amazinggggg. I love all the food they serve here. From east to west , it was soooooo gooodddd...I am in paradise :D

The cheapest rate room is right in front of the children's pool. The room is not so good, the room passed through was bad, and the cleaning was not good. And outside the window is the noise of children. Even cheap rates are not so cheap, so other hotels are recommended for that price. The pool is large and the gym is substantial. The high room was not bad. Personally, I don't feel Bali, and I think it's safe and safe for children, but otherwise it's subtle.

Great for families, lots of choice for restaurants and pools including the infinity pool bar that looks out to the beach, perfect to watch the sunset. They have a small club which serves great food as does the Japanese restaurant. Breakfast is extensive, the only reason I marked this four is due to the rooms being dated and room service was inconsistent. Sometimes we were left fruit, other time nothing.

I have stayed here for a number of years. The resort has continually developed their facilities and their staff. I am currently in one of their refurbished cottages. The improvements again are excellent. Catering for a variety of needs this establishment is a haven of peace and serenity. Just outside the grounds you can enjoy the real Bali. Sunsets and cool breezes are enjoyed from with in this paradise

Everything about this resort was exceptional! I planned to only stay here for 2 nights after staying at Padma Ubud (which was also wonderful). However, this was during the time that CODI-19 was big, and most of travel was restricted. So I ended up staying at Padma Legian for about 2 weeks.

The resort is beautiful and so spacious. There are several pools, including one adults-only pool which was lovely. The gym is massive and also have a steam and sauna.

The restaurants are also really good and there are a variety of options for vegans and vegetarians which I truly appreciated.

The location is superb, just steps from the beach and the main streets.

The staff treated me like a king and they constantly were making sure that I was doing well and had everything I needed.

By the end of my stay, I was the only guest left at the resort, but they did manage to keep it open for a few days before closing so I would have enough time to find and book another property.

I can't thank the staff enough. They were probally the best group of dedicated and happy staff I have ever encountered. Upon check out the managers of all departments came to say goodbye and sent me off. It was truly a touching experience that I will never forget.

I highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return in the near future.

Thank you my Padma family!!!!

This is the resort to be. You really feel at home here. The kids loved it, and for once my missus had nothing to say. I loved the fact that you could just forget about the kids once you leave at the kids club. Come 9pm the kids didn't want to return with us and they could not wait to go again the next day.

I'd like to mention first that a lot of the review...

I'd like to mention first that a lot of the reviews seem to be from novice travelers, families with children, first timers in Bali and people who have nothing else to compare it to.

If you are looking for Luxury 5 star, the Padma isn't it, yes, the grounds and pools are nice but it lacks the 5star service.

My wife and I, as well as my parents, stayed at the Padma for 7 nights. I had booked directly with the hotel for 2x Lagoon view rooms, I paid extra and booked through the hotel rather than getting the free upgrade with Luxury escapes or Travel zoo etc because those rooms are subject to availability and didn't want to risk missing out on the Lagoon view and a request for top floor.

I booked 2x lagoon rooms and requested the 4th floor but not next to each other, when we checked in both rooms were on the 2nd floor (no view at all) and were directly next to each other with an adjoining door!
I explained to the reception that both requests had not been looked at and I would like to be moved, unfortunately all the rooms on the 4th floor were fully booked until halfway through our stay, and while we did move upstairs when the room became available it was definitely a poor start to the trip.

We also noticed that other guests were given different treatment upon arrival and check in, some were given cold towels, drinks etc, we got nothing, maybe because they booked with luxury escapes, travel zoo etc??

Now to the rooms, 2nd floor in k4 has no views, if you want views it has to be 4th floor and in K1 or K2 building.
Lagoon view rooms are nice, all have a big bath and sliding door to the bedroom, balconies are very small though and seating isn't very good, you can't really sit out there and have food.

When you are paying a premium price for a 5 star hotel (I paid 2k for 7 nights during Aug) you expect at least a decent bed. Our room was described as having a King size bed but it wasn t it was two single beds pushed together.
This wasn t in just one room either it was like that all 4 rooms we saw because my parents had the same problem. You can't have a nice sleep with your partner on 2 single beds pushed together because there is a hard lump and gap between the two beds. When I mentioned this to the front desk they replied "but its bigger than king size" but it doesn't matter if you can't actually sleep in the middle.

Rooms service was poor also, we waited over 45min for our food and when we got it is was cold, my dad ordered 4 beers that took an hour, when he eventually got them, they brought the wrong ones, so they took them back, 30min passed so he called again to get a reply "oh do you still want them?"
Not once in the 7 days did we get a turn down service and on one of the days housekeeping missed cleaning the room completely!

I've stayed at lots of 5 star resorts in Thailand, bali, Japan etc, when the rooms are cleaned little things like towel arrangements on the bed, stuff in the bathroom arranged nicely, none of this was done at the Padma, just generic service.

One of the reasons I booked the Padma is the reviews about breakfast, I'm not sure if these other people have stayed at many 5star resorts but the breakfast was poor.
No Coffee service, I mean actual coffee, like a latte etc
The breakfast selection was basic international, Indonesian food with western.
Comparing this to a LOT cheaper 5 star hotel the Marriott, the Marriott beats it hands down.

The staff and security are always friendly and happy to help you, the grounds are immaculate and the gardens are beautiful.
I wouldn't book through the hotel because you get no benefit, go through Luxury escapes or something to get the best deal.

I was disappointed in the Padma and probably won't recommend or return.
For families I d say this place is fantastic, but for couples who are expecting 5 star and have a standard of what to expect I d say stay elsewhere.

It really shouldn t have a 5 star rating it should be 4 Star.
Stay on 4th floor Lagoon view in K1 K2, or Pool access rooms are nice, if you want one that's quiet opt for k4 pool access

Greatest (2nd actually) hotel ever!! The services, The food, The rooms are great. I stayed at the cottage rooms and even though i got the deluxe room (which is the basic one), it has a great balcony, a great room, and great Bathroom. However there are some dissapointments, 1) The housekeeping are so stingy (since i have another person in the room, we need more shampoo & soap. We end up having scarcity of those). 2) When i visited the building rooms, i noticed that the hallways are dark and spooky, which made it unconfortable if staying there. Overall, the service and food are great! There are 5 pool in the resort, a public beach in the backyard of the hotel (Legian Beach) and they have a japanese buffet dinner (only in some days of the week) which is excellent! Definitely worth the try!

A cool hotel to do a wedding here, a very large grassland, a very cool room design mixed with a typical Balinese design style and also spacious, the building design is no less cool for photo needs.
Very comfortable atmosphere, to stay with family or partner. A very beautiful sunset seen from this hotel. Right on the beach.
Good service.

We stayed at Padma Legian for a week in May 2018 ...

We stayed at Padma Legian for a week in May 2018 and had a wonderful experience. The location is great with bunch of shops and restaurants nearby as well as walking distance (20-30 min) to Kutah and Semniyak neighborhoods for nightlife activities. Padma has an excellent breakfast buffet, very nice staff, and great amenities including different pools with happy hour drink specials buy one get one free offer (we loved their infinity pool). We also loved their departure lounge with showers and facility to rest as we were flying (a long one all the way to USA) in the evening and had to checkout by noon but still could use their facility before heading to the airport. We also had an AC breakdown incident one night and management was very kind offering us an upgrade to a suite. Altogether, we left Padma with a very positive experience and will definitely go back if we happen to visit Bali again. The only issue we had staying in Legian was the traffic in Legian-Kutah neighberhood making it a bit cumbersome to go to areas such as ubud. Although taxi rides and tours are generally speaking cheap, you will spend half your day in the car in traffic. So I highly recommend to break your hotel staying in two locations, half in padama Legian and half in padma ubud instead of traveling back and forth.

Beautiful resort. Some days you simply don't want to leave to explore outside. Have pools for families, kids and one for adults only. Yep. Plenty of pool bars to enjoy a drink in paradise is a bonus. Plenty of water activities for the kids and the main pool is open to 9pm. So close to the beach allows you to walk through the many stalls and/or enjoy a massage. Breakfast buffet is a must with so much on offer for everyone. Japanese restaurant on site and cultural dinner in main eating area. Overall, close to seminyak or kuta without being too busy and only a short taxi ride away. Highly Recommend.
