This is a great outfitter with amazing staff. They are always available and ready to answer questions. The female clothing section is fairly size inclusive, and they are willing to special order additional options. Pack Rat is puppy friendly, and every time we come the staff just love to greet our dog. They partner with some great organizations for charity events throughout the year and have several amazing sales.

Yes, the prices are a little high compared to some of the competition but I've always loved coming in this store & stop by whenever in town

I love this place! They have an excellent kayak selection and they sell Mystery Ranch backpacks which I have not seen at another store yet.

Great selection any time I've come in for hiking gear, climbing gear, or clothing. The employees live outdoors and know what they're talking about and are very helpful.

They have lots of hiking and walking options and spectacular staff. I was looking for hiking shoes. No one else carried my size, but I had several options here, so I was able to choose the best one for me. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's very worth it. I've already returned once and I'll definitely be going back.

This place was awesome and helpful. They had a great selection of camping and outdoor gear and very nice and knowledgeable staff.

They also have options for renting gear if you want to do some stuff but don't want to purchase it all.

Pack Rat has been a Fayetteville staple for as long as I can remember. Between they wide variety, good selection, and friendly helpful service you can't go wrong shopping for your next piece of outdoor gear with them.

This store is awesome, they could have a wider variety of gear. But what they have is extensive and their staff know a lot about local trails and backpacking!

The employees were friendly and helpful. The selection of hiking boots for women was better than any other location I am aware of between Fayetteville, AR and Tulsa, OK.

I had an excellent experience at Pack Rat outdoor center today. I called the day before looking for a canoe and I had some very specific criteria. The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful. I said I'd ask for him when I was there and he said "OK." When I arrived I was greeted immediately and asked if I was looking for anything. I replied that i had called about a canoe yesterday--he knew I had called and directed me to Rick for more expertise on the subject. Rick was super cool, very knowledgeable, and immensely helpful. He knew the subject, the stock, and the prices---I'm not the easiest customer--I know the subject matter when I hit the door--and Rick made my day! We talked at LENGTH about every detail and I settled on a boat. The staff came together to load my boat and check me out--I was on my way! Once I was on the road I changed my mind about some of the details and decided that I wanted another canoe that I had seen. I turned around and pulled back up to the store--they welcomed me again, and I told them I wanted the other canoe--they said "No problem" and swapped them out! They even unloaded and reloaded the boats. I was impressed and thrilled! Great shopping experience and I WILL BE BACK!

If you are a camper or a hiker, they have EVERYTHING you need. Maps, clothing, great boot/shoe selection and the staff know everything about what they are selling. They also offer classes from time to time that are really helpful.

Pack Rat is a locally owned Fayetteville establishment with a tremendous staff! They are very helpful in assisting with product knowledge of all of their outdoor sports gear. Their pricing is very competitive and seasonal sales offer great bargains!

Surprising lack of rats, which came as both a relief as well as a disappointment. Staff was really helpful and nice and the goods sold here are of good quality and value. If you are looking for an outdoor goods store full of rats, this one is not for you.

NWA classic. Good gear and clothing, albeit average men's sizes or smaller women'ssizes are scarce. Poor outdoor shoe versus boot selection, men's and children's.

Service has definitely slipped over the last 24 months. Now customers are followed around like they're a shoplifting risk. Just not a welcoming environment, especially if you're bring in kids.

Prices can be high but support local guides, and college students who work there so worth the extra knowing it goes to support locals seeking education and helping others with local outdoor options. Good all around selection of everything you might night and things you might not have thought you needed. Usually good selection of outdoor freeze dried food as well, for quick stop before heading out for day or two.

This is dream for the outdoor person. They have canoes,hiking gear, camping gear. I found the hiking backpack I want to buy here; but like every outdoor store this store is expensive. The clothes are very expense. Other than that I like it.
