Pack Rat has great customer service! I was just there for more shoes laces for my hiking boots. Not only did they search through returns and other products to find the corrects laces for my boots, they laced them up for me and made sure I was happy with them before leaving the store. Highly recommend Pack Rat for knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Went during one of their annual sales and found some truly amazing finds. In general they have great variety and extremely knowledgeable workers who will assess your needs and show you products that will go above and beyond.

This is a place I love to visit, my favorite store! They have quality outdoor products: clothing boots, sandals tents, sleeping bags. Climbing gear, canoes, kayaks and boards and accessories for water sports. Best of all, knowledgeable staff who to assist you who use the products and enjoy and love the outdoors.

Great team and environment. Great selection of quality gear and always on the edge of new items and such. Their selection of boutique high end gear like Hill People Gear, Warbonnet Outdoors, and locally crafted items is a gold mine. I also highly recommend their educational programming. Rick and the folks put together a wonderful kids bushcraft and archery clinic that my girls loved, and I've also taken a few classes to brush up on some things. I will again.

After visiting several outdoor outfitter retailers such as Cabela's, Lewis & Clark, Uncle Sam's, etc, I have to say this is the best place for hiking, kayak, and climbing products. All of the other retailers have limited selection. The upstairs loft area has great clearance deals up to 50% off and cheaper than what you can find on REI outlet or MooseJaw. Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Overall, the best place for hiking, kayak, and climbing retailer in the Northwest Arkansas area.

I didn't buy anything but my buddy did. The salesman wasn't very knowledgeable but he was helpful by letting him get what he knew he wanted when he went in. He was definitely there to sell stuff. Anything he could get you to buy. You need to know what you want and exactly what your looking for because that salesman Will sell you fishing gear for your whitewater kayak!

Pack Rat is my go-to outdoor equipment retailer. It has tons of brands and a very wide selection. The building is gorgeous and the staff knows their stuff. I've always been able to get answers to my outdoor equipment questions. If you're looking for anything from hiking boots and clothes to kayaks to tents and backpacks, this is the place to go. Their regular training events and semi-annual sales makes this one of my favorite places in NWA.

Came into the store and was stared at by the workers to the point I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Will definitely be shopping at Lewis and Clark.

High quality stuff and knowledgeable staff. The staff actually hike and go on adventures to test the equipment. Staff members are also active in the community. Just being there makes you want to go on an adventure :-)

Closest you are going to get to an REI around here, and they do sell some nice things. However, the Patagucci outdoorsy elitist snobbery is real, so bring plenty of money. Watch out for the creepy brooding, virtue signaling hippy guy at the top of the stairs.

A little pricey but if its camping or hiking, they've got it!

This is one of my favorite places in Fayetteville. Not only is the staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, they go above and beyond for their customers. My son was looking for a specific style of knife that they happened to not have in store. They took the time to call another store in town to track one down. Cannot say enough great things.

Nice locally owned shop to get outdoor clothing and gear. Hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, Yakima racks, and more. They have always been helpful in store. Their special order process could be improved or maybe has been. They have a large in store inventory and you can typically count on them to have what you want or need when you stop by.

Best gear shop in town, but be prepared to pay top dollar.

First time in an outdoors store and I was amazed by the customer service. The employees were more than willing to help fit me for a pack and inform me of products. This was even after I verbally reliezed this was no way I could afford what I wanted at the present time. They did not try to up sale me nor diminish my limited experience with quality products.
In short, loved this store! Friendly and helps. Would recommend.
