Disrespectful and unprofessional company. My spouse and I are first time home buyers so we were brand new to this whole process. On the day we got pre-approved, we only had 2 out of 3 credit scores available. They told us this wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward 1.5 months from then, we are getting ready to close on our house. We get an email from them that they need the third credit score. We contact the credit company, and thus began a 3 week long fight of sending them info, and the credit company saying they didn't receive it. We were unable to get this third score because of this. I know that part isn't OVM's fault, but they didn't help us AT ALL. We spent over $100 and several hours everyday trying to fix this. OVM did not offer any other solutions other than "we need the credit score." We tried literally everything in our power to obtain the score but the credit company was not working with us whatsoever. The seller was rightfully getting extremely impatient with us and wanted to find another buyer. 2 weeks AFTER we were supposed to close, and OVM still isn't helping at all, we find another lender willing to work with just 2 scores. Suddenly, once they realize they were going to lose money, OVM starts fighting to keep us as clients. We tell them over and over that we are done and are about to lose this house if we don't move on to someone else. OVM tells us that it will be impossible for anyone else to work with our conditions. They lie to us and the new lender about our situation, saying our credit was frozen and there was a fraud alert (we have confirmed countless times this was not true). After 3 MONTHS of working with OVM and not getting anywhere, you'd think they'd be understanding. They are extremely rude with us and the new lender. It takes them 4 days to comply and transfer over our information. Like I said, I know the missing credit score is obviously not their fault, but they left us in the dust for 3 months to figure it out for ourselves. We begged them to help and find another solution and they failed. And when we found someone that could help us, they were extremely resistant and rude.

Their brokers don't communicate amongst eachother. One tells you one thing, and another tells you something different. Closing dates is this day, than that day, then another date. So annoying when you've got everything else going on.

Working with these folks has been a pure pleasure. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very fast and proficient with what they do. Although getting all the required paperwork and info together was a bit to do, after they got it they zapped it through in no time without much effort on my part needed. After selling my old house, they did a re-fi on the loan with a much better interest rate. I used this company because my realtor recommended them. My officer was Cynthia Lewis, who is fabulous. My problem came when I had to deal with her assistant, Paul Tonn. He was ok , I just prefer NOT to deal with anyone who ignores someone who is spending thousands of dollars because they cant figure out how to handle a upset client.
Cynthia, however, is professional and very easy to understand. Unfortunately, she was out of the country and I was pretty much forced to deal with Paul Tonn but if I were you, I woulld NOT deal with him AT ALL!!!!!
Bill crushed it - I'm active duty military and a real estate investor, and Bill is a guy I would will have on my team going forward. I'd recommend him in any capacity to my military brethren in heartbeat. Worst company to get a mortgage from...dropped the ball at the last minute...can't close on time...no idea when we can close...we have to stay in a hotel instead of our new home....excuse after excuse of why it wasn't ready....may cause us another hotel night if lawyer doesn't receive closing package....dont reccomend please choose another company....should get a discount on our processing fees since they cant process anything correctly....

My experience with the main lending officer was less than stellar. However her compatriots seemed to be more concerned about my loan, including the fact that the contract which we initially signed for the proposed price was altered between when I signed it, and when the loan officer submitted it to the underwriter. Overall I m sure there are better companies to utilize and I would suggest shopping around prior to picking the lender your realtor suggests.
I recently used OVM for my mortgage. I worked with Paul Tonn, he was quick to respond to all my inquires, he was efficient and went above and beyond to make sure my closing would go on time. I had a situation with my previous lender that couldn't get resolved and OVM stepped up to the plate and was able to work up all my documents in less then 2 weeks. At beginning in process Mike Cobb was very helpful and attentive making loan process easy. Then towards end of loan he just fell off his professionalism, had terrible experience with sense of urgency and attention to detail. Lack of communication and i ended up having to rebt a uhaul twice $400 a piece, having to move my furniture into storage for 2 days $$$, and staying in hotel for 3 days $600. Alot of wasted money simply because of understandings that I clearly made apparent and what i was willing to accept and was not going to accept. Last week of my house buying was stressful and would not recommend him to anyone if i was ask for referral. Unprofessional and unreliable.

Anyone that is looking for a home mortgage must be prepared to provide all necessary information and also listen to advice in order to make process as easy as possible.
