Great food and coffee! Love the alley way table at the back, nice and quiet. Service is attentive and friendly. Can be very busy during peak hours so go early or later on the afternoon.

It wasn't immediately clear where the cafe was, hiding amongst the drab brick of its neighbouring buildings, but once inside, and awesome cafe with brilliant coffee and the egg and ham waffle is worth every cent. Trendy counter with a small dinosaur toy hiding somewhere around the place. Love it.

The coffee was only so-so. In all seriousness, this is just an overpriced coffee joint that uni students trying to be trendy go to. The food didn't entice me and the prices didn't make me go back.

I understand the surcharge for a public holiday, but you should be upfront and honest about it. Went to buy coffee beans and was given no notice of the surcharge until after I saw it appear on the credit card reader when paying.

Dreadful... there unfortunately is no other way to put it, I met the owners at the opening some years ago so I decided to go and do some work for couple of hours and have breakfast. The music was very loud and I heard some other customers complain but the waitress wasn't helpful at all, I initially ignored it and did my work ordered coffee and breakfast, then the music became unbearable when the next track started with constant swearing and cursing I asked to be moved away from the speaker and the waitress said I can't promise anything you can follow me but otherwise I'll have to bring you back hear, when we got to then next spot the music volume and "artist" were the same so I asked to be move out side instead, she said take your own stuff out there as if it was a huge imposition. She was incredibly dismissive and passive aggressive, so I cancelled my food paid for my coffee (for which they struggled to find change for) and left. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK HERE, STAFF ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

My absolute favourite coffee shop in Melbourne! I love love love coffee so arriving to Melbourne the first thing I done was tour the amazing coffee scene in the city. Landed on this one by chance and I'm so glad I went in. Luckily I live close by now so this will for sure be my spot. If you ever need front of house staff, I'll be the first one at the door with a CV.

My favourite place for a coffee and a good meal. They are always adding specials to the menu so there is something new and delicious to try. Seven seeds is one of my favourite cafes in Melbourne.

Outstanding brunch, some of the best food I've ever had. Ordered the Kenyan pour over and my friend had a long black. Pour over was very nice and his coffee was excellently strong. Food was fantastic, had the Eggs and Waffle Benedict with pulled pork and chipotle hollandaise - great combination of savoury and spicy. My friend had the breakfast burger, though super simple was very delicious and satisfying. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Well done :)

Dang!

Dang!
This place is killer. Been here many times now.
It s on my list of top cafes to visit in Melbourne.
In a town that is so competitive with its food and coffee this place is in my top 3.
Would definitely recommend checking it out!
Keep up the good work.

One of my favorite coffee roasters and brunch places in Melbourne. Emphasis is on amazing coffee where you know you re getting good quality beans and such as they note down their process on the label. The brunch is quite amazing as well. I always enjoy the waffle Benedict and the pastries are always a crowd pleaser

I'll start with the good- the coffee is great and so is the food. The Dirty Bird is a flavour bomb and the Waffle Benedict is so decadent that it makes up for what initially looks like a disappointingly small serve.

The downside is that this place does not seem to handle being busy all that well. I want to mention that this is based on one visit, so take from it what you will.

We arrived as a group of 6 shortly after 12- they didn't seem too full but were were told we had to wait for a table- fair enough. A bit over a half hour later, without any updates from staff, hungry and just about to give up we were shown to a pretty awkward spot around the head of a shared table, jammed right in between diners sitting at benches lining the walls. I don't mind getting cosy in a busy cafe but this meant having to shuffle around every time a waiter came through as well. Coffees came out quickly and within a minute or 2 of each other. Food was slow and there was a good 15 minutes between the first and last meal arriving. Having waited for that long and being jammed in an awkward table the service was adequate at best- it felt as though we were at best an afterthought and at worst an inconvenience for the staff. All the food was good but the service was lacking in both mood and efficiency. Seven Seeds is a big venue and growing in popularity- they should be better equipped to handle groups and to work quickly through peak periods.

Most importantly- would I go again? Possibly. If I could see that they weren't busy, if there were no more than 3 of us together. It's good, but not great- not worth queueing for more than a couple of minutes if at all.

The Peas and Ham dish is absolutely delicious. Large filling portion size, fresh peas and the right portion of mint to add to the dish without being overwhelming. Definitely the kind of thing you likely wouldn't whip up yourself for breakfast at home which makes it even better in my book. My friend also thought my dish was 5*, although she had the eggs benedict with waffles and was disappointed. She expected more of a cheese flavour and more ham through the waffles but figured this was probably a personal taste thing.

One of the BEST COFFEE ROASTERS IN MELBOURNE AND AUSTRALIA! We come here to not only taste the coffee but to buy the roasted beans bag! If you are a coffee geek, seven seeds is definitely on your list!

We brought home their infamous GUATEMALA ROSMA LOT 11 and it taste exceptional!

We also love their coffeeshop ambience, its so spacious and lots of place to work or hangout. We love their cup recycle initiative as well with recycle-me company. Hopefully we can see more coffeeshop doing this!
