Great food, staff and atmosphere. One employee named Roosevelt went out of his way to help us out. Very polite and hard working young man. The work needs to be filled with people like him!

We sat in the back, darkish bar area, where it was quiet enough to hear my elderly mom talk. Quickly got drinks, house margaritas and chips and salsa. Lingered for a little too long, before ordering. Food was great
I had chorizo quesadilla with carne asada and the gals both had burritos. Enjoyable Sunday brunch at one of the better Mexi places in the South Bay.

Underwhelmed.

Pro- margarita was good.
Con- mystery meat chunk in chicken mole.
Pro- got seated quickly.
Con- my wife got whacked twice with a serving tray during our stay.

While the margarita was excellent, the food and the service leaves much to be desired.

Waiter got both our orders wrong, service was slow.

Food quality was poor for the price tag.

Hit the spot of Taco Tuesday. Decent deal (for this type of establishment), $2.25 a taco. Pitcher of house margarita also on special. Be prepared to drink, if only 2 in your party.

Lively atmosphere, always dig the decor. A favorite for sure.

While the food and drink was good, the service was VERY bad. We were told that our wait would be 20 minutes and we waited 90 minutes. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant! Did I mention NEVER. To be honest the waiter was very good - management not so much.

It's got the vibe of a kitchy little Mexican restaurant that's kind of trendy in hip but still going for that authentic but postmodern feel, I like to go during happy hour because they have really good margaritas and tacos and salads and guacamole that are quite affordable.

YOU HAVE GOT TO GO HERE! Delicious food, amazing atmosphere & friendly staff. This is definitely a local's hideaway. I got the house margarita and some guacamole and I was totally impressed. The chimichangas where to die for!

P.S. The "120" means 120 Tequilas!

Ripped off - $14 for a tiiiny bowl of Mac and cheese, same price as a full plate of nachos with brisket. $10 for a tiny amount of guac. Makes no sense. Clearly served tiny side portions but charged as though they were mains. Queried it but nothing done about it. Ah well!

they have kids meals for the kids. I'm a big horchata fan. I give it a 5 out of 10. it was good but it was too watery down. Employees very friendly and smiling. The chicken strips kids meal super delicious. The cheese quesadilla kids meal was good too. FYI the kids got their meals first. They have wooden chairs with no cushion. Presentation of the food was beautiful and delicious. My burrito was just a plate and a burrito. they need to work on the presentation on that one. Anyways free parking inside the garage next to the restaurant. when you see the restaurant and a traffic light turn right inside it's free no valet. One important thing. Your cell phone signal will be one bar or none this garage is very big inside. So cell phone signals will be none.

By far our favorite restaurant in the South Bay, second to none! Super delicious food, nice staff, and the best margarita around. If you go in, try their calamari...words can't describe it!

I have been coming here for at least 10 years but today I had the worst experience I have ever had at Ortega 120 I came me and with a party of 7 the hostess seated us and then seated 3 other parties behind us and I waited 35 minutes for someone to come and take my order and I watched while the waiter took the Orders from the other 3 parties they came after us I felt so uncomfortable when I asked one waiter for some more tortilla chips he looked at me smiled and went on about his business I hate to say that I did not enjoy my day at or take A120 but found a new restaurant down the street the Riviera 5 stars

I always forget to take pictures of my food here because by the time I get it, I'm probably already tipsy from their delicious (and dangerous) house margaritas. Get a pitcher for the table (or yourself), drink, and be merry. Eat tacos. Or a burrito. Or anything really. If the desserts don't look good, walk a block to Handel's Homemade Ice Cream and try to work off that buzz before you give up and call an Uber to take you home.

Unaccepatable service that deserves 0 stars as I literally was forced to walk out. Waited 30 minutes with no table checks or updates from the waiter while tables around us that placed orders after us received their food. Waiter was rude in confronting the situation making excuses for the tardiness of the food with no apology or comment on his inability to make time for our table or communicate prior. Have been here several times before and enjoyed but this was enough to guarantee I won't come back.

I always look forward to imbibing at Ortega 120, however the prices on the menu, the service and the noise level makes this place less than a thrill when the bill comes. Date night? No. Family night, yes, if you can stand a big punch to your wallet. Their guacamole is otherworldly. Their tortilla soup is the best.Their ingredients fresh and tasty, but 2 cocktails is going to set you back $20 & change. Bring a flask of your favorite tequila and save big or just hit up happy hour if you can time it right ; )

So this is the second time I eat here, the food is very tasty, the service is great, the waiters are very friendly, prices are within reason considering The good portions that are served. The decorations on the wall are very interesting, if ever around The area, give it a shot, you won't de disappointed with the food or The drinks.. The only thing that turned me off a bit, the table where we sat at, was a bit sticky, and had a funny smell, I feel as if they need to use a better method of cleaning, or use different solvents.. But other than that, I would visit again.

Food was great, drinks were good. Atmosphere was pleasant. This place is one of the largest Mexican restaurants I've been to. The decor is nice. Definitely keeps your eyes busy as you wait for your order. Worth stopping by.

Summary: Cadillac margaritas are fantastic. Chips and salsa are tasty. Carnitas are awesome. Service is hit-or-miss from what I hear. A miss for my first visit, unfortunately. Lots of parking in the structure behind the restaurant. Prices are high, but quality is high.

I came here for the first time with a couple of buddies for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. One of them had frequented Ortega multiple times previously. The place was not super crowded or super empty. We were seated immediately way in the back by the TVs showing Mission Impossible 2. As we walked toward the table, we noticed how it got progressively darker and darker in the restaurant with some really interesting decorations and decor throughout. Once seated, we were asked if we'd like anything to drink. We asked for some waters while we took a look at the menu, and soon after we were delivered our first basket of chips with a couple sides of salsa.

We waited a little while for the server to come back and take our drink orders. Two of us got the Cadillac margarita and the third got the Abuelo. Our chips soon disappeared and we were given another basket and more salsa. We continued to consume chips and salsa until our server returned and took our order for food. It then took a LONG time to get the food, and by that time we had gone through 4 baskets of chips and salsa and guacamole (which is alright, but not very flavorful). Suffice it to say, we weren't very hungry by the time the food arrived.

We also ordered a second round of margaritas. One of us got the Marigold margarita, which turned out to be pretty sour and not nearly as good as the Cadillac. I requested a pomegranate and ginger margarita, but it was never delivered (which actually worked out better because I was feeling pretty buzzed off of the first drink with only some chips in my stomach for the day). Now, on to the food.

I got the Tour of Tacos so as to get a good sampling for what the restaurant had to offer. It came with a carne asada, shredded chicken, carnitas, al pastor, and shrimp taco for about $18. It also came with rice and beans on the side, but those were consolidated with my buddy's rice and beans for his taquitos (kind of strange that they didn't separate out our portions). The carne asada was good, but not great. It had flavor and was pretty tender, but not as good as Tacos Por Favor in Santa Monica (which is my go-to Mexican restaurant of choice). The chicken taco was actually really good (I'm not a big fan of chicken usually). It appeared to be shredded white-meat chicken, which I prefer, and tasted great with excellent textures. The carnitas were fantastic, too. Really tender, tasty, and awesome. The al pastor was similar to the carne asada in that it was good, but not great. Textures were a little chewy and flavor was so so. The shrimp taco was really good, but only had four shrimp, so it didn't really fill up as much as the other four tacos, which were much more substantial.

The beans were pretty bland, but the rice was pretty good. I got to try some of my other buddy's carne asada burrito (with no cheese or sour cream, but with verde sauce). It was alright. Again, the texture of the steak was not super tender, and the burrito was indeed on the dry side. Though, it was massive, to be sure.

The total bill came to about $130 for three of us, which is obviously a pretty expensive meal for lunch. I will likely come again to have some more margaritas and carnitas, but I will stick to the Cadillac and the stuff that I know is good. I will also have to be sure to not to eat so many chips, or order sooner, so as to work around the possibility of the food taking a long time to arrive.

Honestly didn t love it. Guacamole was alright. Salsa was nice. Had the beef Taquitos and they tasted dried out and stale. I've definitely had better Mexican food. My margarita tasted smoky which was not to my taste. I didn t even finish it. I m being generous with the 3 stars.

The manager is the most incompetent rude man I ve ever met, and I hope they fire him. I had a patio reservation for my birthday for my group and when we arrived the hostess treated us like we were garbage and they (hostess & manager) told us they had a bigger party paying more money who had the patio now and we have to sit inside in the back. We took the table in the back which was loud and dark. No one took our order or brought drinks for 30 mins. My boyfriend told them it was my birthday and requested a cake. Food was terrible, took forever, and came out cold. My boyfriend went to the kitchen multiple times to ask if a cake or some dessert was coming and it never did.
Went back a week later to tell the manager about my experience and he basically yelled at me and laughed in my face saying what do you want, free food?
I have not had an apology or any form of compensation till this day.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE RIVIERA MEXICAN GRILL DOWN THE STREET.

Food was better this 3rd time around for me.

Food was better this 3rd time around for me.
Drinks were great now that I know what to order.
Fast friendly service. My only complaint was they assumed when we booked that we would rather sit in the cold patio on a bitter night and not inside. No brainer really for reservations......

Excellent SoCal Mexican restaurant.

Excellent SoCal Mexican restaurant.
The 120 refers to the number of Tequilas available on the drink menu.
Comfortable atmosphere and great for a date or lazy Sunday afternoon.

I tend to want to come here with people but when I do I'm disappointed. Staff is friendly and service was good but it is the food that is dissapointing. Nothing that stands out as great and also on the expensive side.
