Very charming theater in Los Angeles. Great sound ...
Very charming theater in Los Angeles. Great sound and several bars.
Very charming theater in Los Angeles. Great sound and several bars.
Small intimate performance venue with extraordinarily cramped seating. If you thought airlines were stingy with leg room, you ain't seen nothing.
Amazing old theatre. Really welcoming. Good acoustics.
Beautiful venue. We always love seeing a show there.
Wonderful refurbished Los Angeles theater. .when theaters were extravagant. .even has a pipe organ
The seating on the main floor is super tight so if someone is late getting to the show the whole row has to stand up to let people get to their seats. In some instances the whole row got up and went out into the aisle to allow people to get to their seats. A huge distraction when you are steadily watching a long awaited show. The lobby is nice. The bathrooms have ample stalls and was clean during my visit.
The design in this place is amazing that it makes the show feel more alive and not only that but the actors are super good at what they do
All the theaters in Downtown LA is quite beautiful. My problem with this run is it was built probably in the thirties and I guess people were a lot smaller there's hardly any legroom I much prefer the Theatre at the Ace Hotel, but hey sometimes you don't get the choice you want to see a band and it's where they're playing.
Its very dated and the drinks are unbelievably expensive. I'm all for balling out on a good drink but that was a bit much.
What can I say? World class theater in every way. Truly a beautiful venue and I enjoyed myself very much.
Incredible find in LA by LA live. Amazing sound, intimate setting and incredibly talented acts. Thank you Brothers Osborne for letting us join you for an afternoon.
Great little venue for a concert on Oscar Sunday! It was just great--great rennovation work!
Parking is convenient. Food is offered. Seating is comfortable.
It's a very very beautiful place lot room go downstairs have a bar and Lounge
One of few remaining and restored old theatres. Beautiful space . Yann Teirsen preformed with his group. What a treat.
Great venue! Wish they would stagger the seats so the head of the person in front of you isn't directly in front of your field of vision. The rows are a little tight too.
Not a bad seat in the house. Locating the proper parking structure was a challenge.
Classic old theater in downtown LA. Great place to catch a show from the play to comedy some music it s a nice venue. Great historic old school Los Angeles downtown building.
Went to see the Romanian national ballet this theater is beautifully restored inside
The theater is fine. If only people wouldn't walk in with chips and boxes of Chinese food to watch ballet... .........
Love this theatre. It's great location, good view from everywhere
I was at the Orpheum for a screening of LA Confidential as part of the Los Angeles Conservancy's Last Remaining Seats series. Every summer, the Conservancy books old movies into the motion picture palaces in downtown LA. Since the series started, the Orpheum has been restored and is now in great shape. Clean, with new seats, a big screen and a decent sound system. Anyone who is interested in the history of LA should see these theaters, and enjoy the movies in a palace instead of a multiplex.
What a beautiful elegant building you just got to go just feeling its history is amazing.
I was at the Celtic Thunder show tonight Feb 27,2015, which I bought a ticket for in Dec 2014. I had front row (A-5) seat, and the person beside me (A-7) came in drunk with a drink in her hand. She proceeded to drink and shout slur words all through the first half of the show, she spilled her drink all over the floor and herself. She tried to climb over the banister in front of us. At intermission I reported this to one of the officials and asked him to check on it. Two men came down and one of them talked to her, and had the floor cleaned up. She went to the bar and got another drink. She wasn't asked to leave and did the same thing during the second half of the show. I did not enjoy the show as I should have because of this. She also kept hitting the lady on the other side of her. I don't think alcohol should be served at family entertainment shows. She should have been asked to leave. She was drunk when she sat down the first time and you could smell it all over her.She kept swaying in her seat and I thought she was going to pass out on me. Even with all this I did enjoy the show. I love CELTIC THUNDER and have been following them since their beginnings. This was just a very bad experience..
Thank you.
Stunning Venue with historic facades throughout the space. Drinks are extremely expensive so I'd recommend drinking somewhere else beforehand
Awesome show!
John Ugay - Kid Gorgeous ..
This is such a beautiful place. I love this theater.
Great place, I have actually perform their with Metroexpress
Always enjoy seeing shows here. Lots of parking nearby, too.
Beautiful retro art deco design.
Your view of the stage is good but the seats are small and too close. The sound and lighting are good. The Orpheum doesn't have it's own parking lot or structure. Parking is $$ and downtown traffic is awful.
Great venue that always has great acts, beautiful art deco design everywhere you look! Clean bathrooms too
This is a beautiful, old, restored theatre in the heart of Downtown L.A on Broadway. If you ever get a chance to see it, definitely take the time to do so, especially if it's for an event/concert. The acoustics are amazing, & there's not a bad seat in the house. We recently perused in to check it out during the Night on Broadway event. I loved seeing all the antique architecture & building materials and style. We went all the way to the top floor, & sat in the back row. We could see and hear the band that was playing on stage as clear as could be,. It was perfect!
Beautiful theater. Love the classic decor. Feels like I'm in a historical place when I am there. Small place so every seat is a good seat!
$$ but I guess that is LA. Although it is beautiful, it doesn't even compare to the California theatre
Great old theater, have seen many concerts here. Luv it!
It was very easy to find and to find parking close by the theater. It was a decent size inside the building and sound quality was good to hear the performers.
My very favorite theater in the theater district. You can tell what love and care the owners have put into keeping this historic theater in beautiful vintage condition.
The sound is outstanding for every event, I have been to a range of different events from magic shows, lectures, movie, and music. Each one was pure magic. Visit the Orpheum as often as you can.
I really love this place ! Seen Kansas here it was a really good personal show & the seating is good and comfortable. I highly recommend this place !!!!!
Absolutely fabulous theatre ! The organ and silent movie, "Safety Last" were an unforgettable treat ! Clark Wilson is a master at his art.
Love it! I thought it'd be a little bigger inside but its not bad at all. I went for an event, the Nyx Face Awards and I had a really good time.
Comfortable newer seats than the originals, very cool venue, not a bad seat in the house. Interesting downstairs bar, restrooms and lounge area. Parking is just OK--the closest lot was full quickly so we had to park a block away; crossing two streets with traffic signals.
You could feel the place is very historic and the interior is really cool with the lamps and decorations. Would definitely recommend going here at least once.
Nice old theater in the garment district. Easy entry, plenty of help getting to seats (which are a bit small ... but that isn't unusual). Be prepared for downtown LA. It is a hole ... the underbelly of the city.
The Seat are very small and close together no leg room and if you are a Plus size girl you will be very uncomfortable
The Orpheum Theater is a historical old building however I must say I was disappointed with the supposed refurbishment from the outside it appears all the lights and everything have been replaced however when you go inside you can see that it was just a quick once-over none of the actual fabric inside of the theater itself has been replaced it is all original the sheets are wonderful they are very comfortable and I must say it appears there is not a bad seat in the house parking can be a challenge however overall it's an okay venue to see your favorite band possibly
A good place to see a cozy concert. Comfortable seats. Nice venue.
Smaller in real life compared to televised events at this location. Parking is a pain and the lines can wrap around the block. Please make sure not to block the alleys while in line as cars busily use alleys.
Sure there are a few inconveniences like the aforementioned and the restrooms being at basement level down very long stairs. However, the performances here never disappoint.
It was amazing. Watched a concert here. Beautiful and ornate. The seating wasn't to bad.
A beautiful restored theatre in DTLA. From the beautiful lobby to the spacious theater that is a throwback to the glorious style and feeling of a Broadway theater circa 1920. Don't forget the orpheum room to grab a drink before the show and there's also a lovely bar downstairs. Grab a drink and enjoy the show.
Beautiful historic theater with state of the art sound system.
Beautiful decor. Take time to look around and don't miss all of the different bars & lounge areas.
Excellent venue in downtown LA, with great views of the stage even in the balcony. Sound was good, although for rock shows can be a little overwhelming due to the smaller size of the theater. Staff was friendly and it never felt too crowded.
Beautiful Theatre. No parking available though. Getting in and out takes a little time but a gorgeous old theater.
This place is old. The decor is lovely as it harkens back to yesteryear, but it also appears to be somewhat in disrepair. The biggest problem with this venue is the seating. The seats are too close together and the legroom is lacking. So much so that it is better to get up and move to the aisle in order to let someone pass. They also should implement a rule of not allowing people who arrive after the start of the performance to be seated. It is disruptive to both the talent on stage and the people in the audience.
Came to watch the Aziz show and they had the Heater in FULL BLAST! It was so uncomfortably hot inside that it ruined the whole show. They should keep a normal room temperature to avoid making people uncomfortable.
Wonderful ornate theatre full of charm and character
