Very disappointed with the way ORMC TREATED ME !

Very disappointed with the way ORMC TREATED ME !
Dr. Davidson & Dr. Colwell in ER during this we re terrible!!!
I was here today 8/29/18 from 2am-6am and I was coming back to ORMC after being released from ORMC with TBI, concussion and Brain hemorage. Ever since I left I have severe pain in tail bone and shooting pains down my back legs and spinal fluid dripping out my nose !! I requested a MRI so I can please know what s happening
My wife also called in advance and explained everything and we were told by ORMC trams unit TO COME DOWN, TO GET CHECKED OUT !
They released me after a CT scan and said a MRI they wouldn t do because it s not an emergency surgery !!!
And mind you I was already here 8/21/18 and they should ve already done this and we were instructed to come back by the trauma care unit and they didn t care what we had to say and discharged me !
Dr. Davidson & Dr. Colwell thank you for NOTHING !! You are dead wrong !!
Your licenses should be revoked !! Definitely are not holding up the standard of what I believe ORMC represents

I have CHF, and I have water in my lungs. I was in waiting room for 5 plus hours. Everyone has lied to me about waiting process. Then I get to an ER room. Finally. I'm still waiting for my Blood pressure medications, and they wonder why my B.P. is so freaking high. I was told I could get a meal once I was in my room. Now they are telling me something different. I have 2 wait until another test is done. It's been over 8 hours and I am Diabetic! None of the nurses respond to my call light other than the nursing assistant. This has been the very first visit to this ER in 3 months, and service has gone way downhill here.

The absolute worst Hospital I've ever been to.. and I've been to many unfortunately.

Came to the ER with pain and was told it was a badly infected gallbladder that was scheduled to be removed later the same day. 3 days later it was finally removed, woke up in horrific pain. Was dismissed by the physician, until it was noted that my eyes had turned yellow and my blood work was awful, the surgeon damaged me during the removal causing an infectious leak into my abdomen. Took them 7 days to treat that with another surgery that was the most painful of my life, which was also ignored. Was told to "get up and walk, the pain will go away" as I was developing bed sores from being unable to move.
Was told literally to "shut the hell up" by a charge nurse because I was crying from pain.
Told the doctor I couldn't go home since I couldn't even sit up in bed, she offered to print a list of homeless shelters I could go to instead of my apartment.
Finally was sent to another facility where I continued to decline over a week, and was readmitted with severe dehydration and that pesky infection from their earlier error(s)

Now on my second admission, I've been tortured, abused, accused of faking pain, told I'm drug seeking, been told I was outside the hospital walking around "in no pain just fine so you're faking it" by the doctor, WHILE I WAS IN SURGERY (i.e. not possible) and in the last 2 hours was told by the same doctor that accused me of magically walking outside while on the table during a surgical procedure, that "this is a hospital. Just because you're here doesn't mean we have to care for you. "

STAY THE HELL AWAY IF YOU WANT TO LIVE.

I had an Uterine Fibroid Embolization at this hospital ORMC November 4. From check-in to being discharged everyone was AMAZING!!! They really worked as a team and went the extra mile to make you comfortable. Along with for the doctors from the Medical Center Radiology Group. Thank you and God bless

This is the worse hospital I had ever been in my life. I took my 39 week pregnant wife there cuz she had a bad migraine and they didn't even know what were they doing. They all act in the emergency room like is a circus. You heard a bunch of Hyenas laughing outside instead of doing their job. It looks like they are all a bunch of students training what they had there. It made us feel like my wife was just a practice body they wanted to used for billing purpose. Stay away from the hospital, you much likely would end signing your self out as she did.

My sister has been in that hospital for 2 weeks from now. And if they had cleaned her room 5 times, I"ll be exaggerating. Very low hygiene!!!!!! She have a mountain of dirty sheets in her room. We go to the counter, and they resolve everything with an "ok" "let me call maintenance". #2weeksFromNow

Stacey Lemmon is very unproffessional. In a nutshell she is rude, childish, and controlling. I strongly feel she should not be practicing medicine, as the well being of others is not her first priority rather her fight to argue and or control others when they are in a state of distress. Shame on you Stacey Lemmon.

Of course you are going to be upset when a loved one is in the hospital.. when things are happening so fast It seems like the doctors and the nurses aren t doing enough.. because this is your loved one who is very sick and you want the best for them.. I know. I ve been to this hospital so many times with my precious mother I have lost count. She just turned 90yrs old. I could name the doctors and nurses and the health care that kept her clean to the x-Ray tech s . Everyone was so good to my mother. She is alive today because of the wonderful doctors and nurses there.. it will always be ORMC to me. I am here writing this today to say thank you very much for the awesome care you gave to my mother and I hope everyone is doing well. I lift up a special prayer for everyone during this horrific time on our earth who would have ever dreamed we would be in this shape .. struggling every day to avoid catching something we can t even see. I ask for the Lord to bless and keep every health care worker safe and for him to put a shield of protection around each one. I am so sorry for all the overwhelming heart ache each and everyone of you are going through during this dreadful time.. many, many thanks to all

Was at this hospital yesterday for 5 hours in surgery waiting4B. A nursde that works there named Leslie Ladd is the most rudest, disrespectful off duty i run the show here person inhave ever met.she should not be getting in people's faces and causing conflict in a surgerybwaiting room. Please watch cameras I will be filing a complaint with Administration of the hospital. This person is suppo st to be a R.N. there she should conduct herself in a different manner while off duty.

Vacationing in Orlando and my dad was taken in by ambulance to hospital. The emergency staff in the waiting area were extremely professional and kind. Offering information regarding family and servicing the waiting area with blankets, cookies for young children and beverages. Clearly, going above and beyond.

While in the emergency room staff was caring for my father and information was given promptly. Later arriving into his room staff was so helpful and professional.

In all her years of going to the hospital this is the first time I actually felt that the hospital was caring for patients.

Thank you for caring while in need.

HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE!
husband came here for cancer surgeriES and every single time he had an operation, it was constant miscommunication about his status, his location within the hospital post-OP, horribly slow pain management, 2 hrs waiting for transportation, waiting time on EVERYTHING including simple IV fluids, RUDE nurses, just an unbelievable horrible service for costumers that are already dealing with cancer. Looking for second alternative. If you can go ANYWHERE else ....do

So I had a vape explode in my hand and I was transferred here to the burn center from Palm Bay hospital. I am so grateful that this is where I was transferred. It was a few hour wait in the trauma room but the team here made sure I was comfortable during my wait. When I finally got up to my room in the burn center, I was very well taken care of. All of my nurses were very attentive to my needs. Joey, Holly, Joy, Tiffany, and Rosie Belle were my nurses and they are all incredible. I also had a few doctors and nurses assistants that deserve credit but the nurses did such a great job at keeping me out of pain that I can't seem to remember all the people that helped lol. They cleaned up my hand, removed a bunch of burnt dead skin, wrapped it up and kept a close watch over night. This is the first hospital that I've ever been to that I honestly have no complaints about. I'm now home with a good amount of supplies to keep my wounds clean and wrapped up so they can heal. Thank you so much to everyone here that made my hospital stay a pleasant one.

The worst hospital you could ever go to. My father in law was admitted following a life threatening car accident. He had two surgeries and after the second one, he fell in a coma. Absolutely NO explaination from any doctors, they lied to us and said he was doing better and better and everything was sunshine and rainbows. Eventually they forced him to transfered to a smaller, second rate hospital where they told us the truth about how hes on the verge of death with his current condition..

ORMC WILL FORCE YOUR LOVED ONE OUT IF YOU SO NOT HAVE GOOD INSURANCE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT THEIR CONDITION TO MAKE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH THE TRANSFER. BE WARNED. I DONT WISH ANYBODY TO GO THROUGH WHAT I DID.

Incompetent check-in service charged my wife $495 up front for an ultrasound without verifying with our health insurance company how much we should pay, which turned out to be ZERO. We called customer service five days after the insurance processed the claim and they refuse to return the money to our credit card, so now we are paying interest on money that they should not be entitled to charge, and they are probably earning interest with our money.

Recently on April 1st, 2019 I had a dizzy spell at home and fell hitting my head on the floor and due to a previous illness had to be sure that this had not caused any bleeding around my brain so my wife brought me to the ORMC, Were I was examined by the doctor s and a CT scan was conducted and the results confirmed that there was no bleeding around my brain the doctor informed me that he wanted to keep me in for observation and to have a few more test s conducted one of which was a sonogram of my arteries on the side of my neck, the transport arrived and I was wheeled up to the 5th floor (I think it was from the A to B tower) where the procedure was conducted during the transit to the B tower.
I noticed a great number of beds in the bridge area.
The sonogram was completed and then I ended waiting for approximately 1.25 hours for transport to arrive to take me to a room on the second floor during the wait I needed to use the restroom and I was escorted to by one of the women because I had a Fall Risk band on my wrist, on entering the Staff restroom there were shredded paper towels all over the floor and the trashcan was full, it looked like a group of children had been let loose in there.
This was not the end after the excessive wait for transport which finally turned up and we started the transit down to the 2nd floor via the Bed storage area in the bridge between A & B towers there were a number of dirty sheets, Hoses from various items, sheets of paper, what appeared to be number of broken beds and even Coke cans lying around there surely this is not a hygienic way to run a Hospital. This was not my first visit to ORMC and I have noticed this level of uncleanliness on previous visits in various areas around ORMC.

On arriving at the room, ( I cant remember if the room number was 214 or 216 ) I was to be staying in I found that there was already someone there. My assigned nurse then came into the room with her assistant and I asked if it was possible to get a room by myself, I was informed that this was not possible and I decided that I would leave and a form for my release was handed to me and I signed it, I was then informed by the Senior Nurse that the lifts were way down the other end of the corridor , No offer of transport to the exit was offered and she told me that was the exit and stormed off and left me with the Fall Risk band on my wrist to negotiate my way to the exit on Sturtevant St were I had asked my wife to pick me up As I thought that was the closest exit only to find out it was the farthest away.
All I can say is I will never return to ORMC after this visit.
For cleanliness you get zero stars.
For the Nurse's lack of professionalism & attentiveness on this visit you get zero stars.
One further comment to the Doctors in the ER that attended to me Thank You for the prompt attention.
For the ER Doctors you get 5 stars

I came to Orlando to spend my bday weekend with my boyfriend and ended up in a motor vehicle accident. We were transported to ORMC were I have never seen such great hospitality. I was D/C later that day but my bf had to have surgery. So I stayed the rest of the time in the hospital as I felt I should. When it was time for his surgery. I was told I can go down and sit with him I m the waiting area( I was still in so much pain due to rib fracture from the accident). I was following the two gentlemen that were transporting my boyfriend to pre-Op but I wasn t walking fast enough gentleman stopped what he was doing and offered to wheel me down to the fourth floor. From there I had to check in at the OR desk where I asked the The two ladies if there was a store nearby or gift shop that sold phone chargers. They Stated that they could get me one to borrow from guest services (Yomari). While my boyfriend was in surgery I needed to fill my prescription so I walked to the pharmacy. There I met Valerie from guest services who offered her services to take me to the cafeteria and help me find a pair of shoes where I didn t have any because it was in the vehicle from the accident, she then took me back to the pharmacy to get my prescription. No it was time for me to go back to the fourth floor so I could a wait for my boyfriend to get out of surgery. The next day I need a letter from a social worker stating my incident so I can change my flight so we can leave at a later date on my way there I needed help to get to the ER seeing this is such a huge hospital I bumped into a lady named Yani (I think an RN) and she help me get to the ER and I was explaining to her my story. On my way back I saw her coming out of the gift shop with balloons for me and my boyfriend and flowers and a cake pop I just thought that was the upmost nicest thing someone can do for someone that didn t even know me. Their were definitely more people who played a very important role throughout me being there and I greatly appreciate everyone and I just want to say I give this hospital like a five stars. Whoever did the hiring did a great job. Best hospital I ve ever been at thank you for your hospitality great job on me and my boyfriend and I appreciate you very all I am very grateful!!!!

How can it be possible you come to the ER with a note from your family physician stating you have a possible appendicitis. They take your blood and then send you out in the waiting room where ER patients are laughing and joking in regards to their illness. It's not like I wanted to come here, I was specifically sent by a physician. After being admitted the staff was very attentive and took my condition seriously. Overall treatment was very good, I still don't agree with having to sit over an hour in a waiting room when sent to the ER by a physician.

I am reluctant to even give it a two. My family had to be there at 8:30 for surgery. Didn't get started until 5. The app they tell you to install gives you absolutely no updates. Quite frankly if you're not right there with your family nobody will let you know anything unless you keep calling which defeats the purpose of the app. Too many channel connections before you even get to who you need to talk to. Surgery sounds like it was overbooked. Hours went by in the surgical waiting room and no information then either. We had to go up to the desk and inquire about what was going on even though they walk about calling other folks out. Letting people know either way should be a priority as well.

Staff were insensitive and placed an unrealistic limit on visiting our cousin who is in ICU. While we understand there are rules enforced to keep areas free of hazards, it is insensitive to restrict family and friends who drove 200+ miles to see their loved one for possibly the last time.
This is one of the most difficult times of our lives and we would appreciate it if we had one less worry

I want to give a big shout out to all the wonderful nurses, Drs and related staff who took such good care of me during my five day stay at ORMC and the Cancer Center. I arrived in bad shape needing four units of blood for extremely low hemoglobin and everyone was so kind and caring. That extends to the Food Service team and engineering with whom I also interacted. They should all be very proud of their professionalism. They are a credit to Orlando Health. Thank you to all, especially Mikki, Sara, Kim and Nick and the entire village whose names I can t remember. To my Drs and Interns I send a big high five fo all your support.

Tower north floor 4, pesimo recommended to disconnect patients in 72 hours or less when they have accidents in the head or strokes, it seems that you do not fight to save human lives, you work to earn more money with less effort, I have witnessed this end of two patients, must hire doctors who love their profession and well qualified, because when these recommendations are made in such a short time and all the possibilities are rejected with these arguments I do not think there are good specialists, because they surrender very fast before adversities , in Miami if you fight to save human lives in almost all hospitals, thanks

My girlfriend and I both got seen a week ago on a Monday. It was slammed. We were there like 6 hours she was able to get into a room and I was stuck in the hallway. We both were seen for having terrible migraine's that lasted about three days. The staff was super nice. It was super uncomfortable to have an I.V in the hallway while tons of people walk by every 5 minutes. It would have been nice to have a nice quiet room. The hospital is plenty big, but have to do better about accomating er patients. Everyone should have a room or they need to build a fast track room for not so emergency cases. Other than that we were happy about the care.

Last Friday night, I went to the emergency room. I had a 4 inch long lump in my leg. My blood pressure and heart rate were through the roof, which was not documented on my patient portal. It took 4 hours for a dr to see me. When he did, it was clear that he had never seen anything like this. He and the nurse were both perplexed. He called an older dr for a second opinion. The older dr decided right away that it was a superficial vein that had swollen up but ordered an ultrasound to be sure it wasn t a blood clot. The ultrasound tech told me that it definitely was NOT a vein. But two hours later the young dr returned and told me that it was a swollen vein and released me with orders to take ibuprofen and warm heat to the area. They never did any bloodwork to verify that there wasn t an infection. They sent me on my way after 7 hours and literally no help. You don t suddenly develop a large lump in your leg for no reason. I left that emergency room with more questions than answers along with conflicting information. I do not feel that they did their due diligence as medical professionals, took far too long (7 hours total and the only help I received was an ultrasound), and were very dismissive. Should I need an emergency room in the future, this would be my last choice.
