Not one comment on an outstanding bit of humanitarian outreach by ORMC and Florida Hospital to eat the expense of a terrorist attack that changed the lives of so many. With so many examples of greed tearing this nation apart we better not look the other way and let these REAL Americans know we damn well noticed and they have a huge pass earned and paid forward from those of us that care.

Staff was okay, but record keeping was horrible!
After 4 days they tried to give her a medication that could have killed her, after I told them she couldn't take and I was there for three days and never saw the Doctor I got her out of there AMA! Guess what the Doctor finally showed up but to late! I was 200 miles from home, getting quality care at home!

My son entered the ER last night, 9/15/18 stating he want to " KILL HIMSELF " and was released 12 Hours later. What Hospital releases a patient who wants to kill themselves Is my question. In Massachusetts its a Mandatory 72 hour stay !! What is wrong with the system in Florida? Someone is suffering debating whether to take their life and you turn them away. VERY DISAPPOINTED !!

My husband and I arrived by ambulance from a crash...

My husband and I arrived by ambulance from a crash. I was brought through the ambulance er department and they made my husband go through the regular er department, which was odd. He had busted his forehead; blood visible on his head and a busted eye. I had severe markings from the seat belt on my neck, severe burning on my chest and pain to my breast, busted both my knees, and had severe pain from my pelvic area from lap belt. I was not given anything for pain relief, no prescription for anything either. This is no way to treat any patient, especially those in severe pain. I will probably not be going back to this hospital and will be filing a personal complaint. The only good that came out of going to this hospital is the nurse name Ruth, she was amazing. After she left no other nurses came to the room to let me know what was going on with my results or to check on me for nearly an hour. The doctors released my husband before telling him of his results.

My husband had surgery and was admitted to the Hos...

My husband had surgery and was admitted to the Hospital on 3/01/17 for pretesting. Mind you I was there in the hospital with him from admission and stayed overnight into Thursday 3/02/17 when they took him for surgery. I was never offered a pre-op visit and no visit after the surgery once he was in recovery. I was told by guest services staff on the 4th floor to sit in the waiting area and the doctor will call me. I then waited maybe 10 minutes and I received a call from guest services. I then asked the guy on the 4th floor where does phone # 407-841- 5111 originate from because I couldn't answer the call due to the signal being blocked on the 4th floor waiting area. I decided to head to the 5th floor where I spoke with Andrea from guest services and she says that the other staff in guest services on the 4th floor was supposed to send me to the 5th floor. Andrea then said, "You never checked in" and recommended I wait for my husband in his room because he would be going straight there from Recovery in 2 hours. The nerve of her to make me feel as if I didn't do something right instead of just finding out if the doctor was coming to speak with me. First of all, why would I need to check in when I've been here since his admission and told them on numerous occasions I'm his wife. Well I sat in his room for 3 hours and to no avail my husband never arrived to his room. I kept getting the run around from the nurses on the cardiac intervention wing (5B) and no one would be proactive by calling to get an update for me until I all but demanded one. I then had to request to speak with the hospital administrator just to get guest services to pay attention. The nurse JiJi who works nights on the CIU was wonderful and attentive to our needs which made things better during the night and morning. Ms. Feliciana and Mr. Carlos Diaz from guest services were great in ensuring my needs were met after they learned of my complaint. They came to the room personally and met with me. My poor husband lying there trying to comfort me who was now in tears when I should have only been supporting him while in pain and making him more comfortable. Today he is being discharged thank God he is feeling a lot better and we can return home. This was the worst experience but I'm glad the hard part is over.

Hi, I had a weird experience on last April 26 this year 2019; I went to the emergency at the orlando regional center in the afternoon around 7:00pm with a lot of pain in my abdomine right side, after an IV and morphing they performed a few tests on me, one of it was, a scan with contrast, were they saw that I had gallbladder stones and they explained to me, that was the cause of my pain, the doctor told me to make an appointment with a surgeon for a gallbladder surgery and I asked what should I do with the pain? and the nurse told me to take some IBuprofen and after that, they just sent me home at 2:00am; but next day, I had to go to work at night, because I work overnight and being at work around 4:00am; I had that terrible pain again; and this time it was worsed, because I can't breathed well, so from work, they called an ambulance for me, this time I went to Dr.Phillips hospital, after being receiving IV and morphing and seeing by the hospital's doctor, then the surgeon came to me and told me, that he will need to performed surgery on me, to take out my gallbladder, because he saw the information about my results from the previous day and he told me, that I had a big stone in my gallbladder blocking the pathway and a lot of other more smaller stones too, he told me that my gallbladder was very inflamated and that he was worried, that the big stone can do a lot a pressure in my liver and he also told me, he want to performed that surgery, in that same morning, so after that, around half hour later, they took me to the surgery floor to prepared me for surgery and finally they performed the surgery on me, thank God and the surgeon everything went very well, but I still don't understand why they didn't performed the surgery when I first went to the hospital in pain, if they had saw already everything from the beginning with the tests, plus some professionals in the field asked me that same question, that's why I believe that the Orlando regional center didn't respond the way they should.

I had to go to the ER a few weeks ago to get 5 stitches in my finger, the doctors were great and everything and did a good job putting the stitches in. But I was not happy when they took them out. I got my stitches taken out last Saturday on February 9th, 2019 and I was concerned about a black dot right after I had my stitches taken out so I mentioned it to the doctor that took out my stitches and she looked at it claimed it was just a black scab...well the black scab looked long and like a piece of stitching she did not get out and sure enough it was. Two pieces were still stuck in my finger that she failed to get out after the fact that I mentioned it. I was not happy to find two pieces left in my finger. You guys should really recheck what you do if a patient is concerned that there is something still in their body that shouldn t be there.

The doctors seem like they do not know what they are doing. I hear alot of maybes, O
I think, I dont know will just do this, and oh I forgot I already took some blood. To add on,the floors are filthy and they only look at the machines and not the patient. They purposeful ignore and talk over the patient's complaints. Absolutely disgusting.

I was there in 2012 with what was believed to be pneumonia. With an extreme fever, very low oxygen levels, collapsed lung, age (63) , and 40+ years smoking the prognosis was not in my favor. For over a week my body did not respond to any treatments, however the Doctors did not give up but continued to search for a solution. Similar to COVID-19, the normal regimen of antibiotics and steroids were exhausted with no positive response. But my Doctors resorted to something older and possibly off label, and I started to slowly improve. After 15 days there, I was released and with 6 weeks of rehab was able to return to work.
I thank Almighty God that he spared me and has his people in place to accomplish his will !
I have been hospitalized over 10 times in my lifetime and this hospital stay was the Best hospital experience of my life. From triage in the emergency department, to the nurses, aides, cleaning folks, therapist and especially the Doctors everyone was caring and friendly !!!
Top shelf !!

After the experience that I had having my father in Lucerne Pavilion, I will never again like to have any of my family members anywhere near that place. If you can't afford insurance and don't have any at the time, they will do everything possible to pretty much push you out the door. Don't get me wrong, some of the people there are nice but others need to change to another career. Then, they also expect you, as the family member, to put your life on hold and arrange everything so that you can take care of your family member 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So forget that you have a job and kids and a husband to take care of. Oh and if you have any pets, look for someone to give them to because you won't have the time to so much as even write a review to warn people of this place unless you take advantage of writing it before your family member comes home, like I did.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT NUT WOULD EVER GIVE THIS PLACE A 5 STAR REVIEW!

It is not my experience I am writing about, it is the experience of the injured who received care at ORMC during and after the tragedy at the Pulse Night Club. You are all heroes and I thank you for what you do.

I had an extremely positive experience over the last three days. The medical team extremely accessible and understanding. They have been so willing to allow me to participate during rounds over the phone since I was far away. Of course with patient authorization. The nurses on the 8th floor were excellent. Yesterday I was extremely impressed with the compassion and attention to detail by the Neuro ICU team. Today the neurosurgical team was great again during rounds. Then, it was a different story when I arrived to the hospital. I will be emailing the manager once my loved one is no longer there. I want to be certain it does not affect the care the nurses provide the patient. It is incredible how one nurse poor attitude can can damage the experience for a family member. I was going to rate this hospital as a 0 because of my experience this afternoon, but I will not do that because I don't want to take away all the other wonderful things that have transpired during the past 3 days.

This one star review of the hospital is for NURSE ...

This one star review of the hospital is for NURSE HYONG ON THE LP FLOOR TEN AT ORMC. A nurse too busy to check her patients IV which wasn t connected for a full ten hours. While the patient screamed in pain, she blew her patient off. Telling the patient she was just used to the pain meds. When the reliving nurse turned the light on, they found the patients bed wet with all the meds the patient should have been receiving WITH THE IV DISCONNECTED. A good note: Karl the nurse was more than competent and actually posses some bed manor and compassion. Very upset family. Nurse Hahn needs retraining immediately.

Update One: this entire hospital is abysmal. Four hours after my mother is out of surgery and ZERO communication from her doctor. Every half hour someone indicates they put in a call and he hasnt responded. Also my phone call was no returned which was promised to be.

My experience here at ORMC was awful!! The staff was absolutely obnoxious, unprofessional, unconcerned, and uninformative. I came in sat in the waiting room for over half the morning and all afternoon before being seen. Then once I was taken to the back of the triage, with no type of examination, I was given meds and kicked out!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I want to say thanks to the whole team of nurses, assistants, meals department and RNs of 11th floor, (you know who you are) for the treatment they gave me during my stay in the recovery from my back surgery. They were all professionals with good knowledge and that human touch that you need in those moments... I don t like to be in the hospital but if l needed to once again, ORMC is definitely the one... you guys are the best!!!

Please listen carefully because this is a matter of life or death, if you or any family member have cancer DO not start any treatment at this hospital, you need to go to a cancer center. The oncologist team are very nice and you are going to be tempted to do it with them, but the problem is that when you get sick, you need to get admitted through the emergency room every time, so imagine, explaining to the doctors every time the same exact thing, then you get put in a room with all of the other people sick in guset what, the emergency room. Then when you get hospitalized you never going to find a room in the cancer tower, because they put all type of conditions in there. My daughter was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in March, every month we spend at least 3 weeks in the hospital, and is the same thing all the time. They put her in a floor with nurses that have no experience in cancer is a nightmare. So please do yourself or family member a favor and if you have cancer stay away from this hospital.

Being in the hospital is stressful and can be aggravating especially in the cardiac floor but having a nurse like Bri truly made my stay here so much better. She has been very pleasant and answered EVERY question I asked her with a smile on her face. I pray that AMAZING DOORS open in her life. Thank you Bri for being one of the BEST nurses that I have ever met. Keep up the GREAT WORK

This is literally the worst hospital I have ever had to be in. ..the nursing staff and lower level employees are great...the provided on the Neuroscience department are un caring, slow and too full of themselves to worry about patient care. I was outright lied to about my plan of care and then held hostage waiting for a neurosurgeon to check a shunt setting even though I never saw in the 18 hours I have been here. I had amazing care at P Phillip hospital and 18 hours in here and have had only ONE test done. Shame on you all.

Went in for an X-ray. Waited 5 hours already.... still waiting. We have been sitting in the hallway the entire time. Floor is dirty. Ceiling looks dirty. My daughter was offered a blanket but it was dingy and she opted against it. I have never been to a hospital even remotely as poorly managed as this one.

My mom was brought to this hospital by ambulance w...

My mom was brought to this hospital by ambulance with signs of a TIA. It seems like the ER doctors were very understanding and wanted to find answers they ordered a CT scan and MRI and wanted to admit her. When the admitting doctors came in to check her out they were also very nice. I asked them to please make sure my mom gets her night time meds so she will be able to sleep and they said they sure will. They also said they will give her Benadryl and a nicotine patch along with fluids. Well when they took her to MRI they stopped her fluids and never started it again. When she got to her room she was never given her night medicine nor her nicotine patch. My mom asked for a rag to wash her face off and her nurse threw a rag at her. And my mom said can you please wet it for me because she couldn t get up and the nurse copped a attitude. It came to the point when my mom was very upset and they weren t taking care of her so I got her out of there. What is the sense of anyone being admitted if they are not going to take care of them but would rather treat the patients like they are a true bother when they are just sick. This hospital is very sickening. Never going to go back there.
