By far the worst and most unorganized airport in the us.

Do people from tsa even know how lines work?
Did they have someone put a little thought in the process?
I thought it was just a once time only, but our second time was even worse.

At least the people from the check-in in Avianca were kind and efficient, unlike the tsa.

Easy to get around not super crowded so easy to social distance. A little confusing on picking up a rental car. If you come into Terminal B, you have to go to Terminal A to the rental car counters. The terminal b counters are currently closed.

Worst security checkpoints in the nation for an airport it's size by far. Arriving 2 hours early may not be enough. Not enough restrooms at the gates. Expect a 15 minute wait or more to use the restroom for women on the weekends.

Very nice and clean airport, there are some shops and free WiFi. The train that goes to different terminals is particularly interesting. All in all, we found the airport to be fairly straightforward and found our way well there.

This airport is the worst I have ever had to transit through. They do not have enough seating in the terminal. People are seated all over the place, on floors, old people left to stand while waiting for flights. Constant changing of gates for flights due to broken planes. Not enough food service available, lines are long and selection is very limited. Expect a.miserable wait with your children. Hope your stay was great because your departure will suck. Also can hardly understand some of the announcements due to very thick accents from the people working at the gates. They speak too quickly to understand what is being said at times.

I love this airport as an airport (kind TSA agents, plenty of seats, and very clean) but every flight I've taken in 2019 has been delayed 6+ hours. It isn't just United, Spirit, or JetBlue; it must be this airport. Absolutely NO excuses for 5 extremely delayed flights within 3 months. Take responsibility, MCO, and get it together.

I have been in more than my share of airports and I have to say I really like this one. The crowds and lines do get annoying - BUT - it's Orlando and a massive tourist trap haha. So all in all they handle it all pretty well. If you have a long wait the shop selection is great, it is very easy to navigate, and overall a pleasant experience.

Although the security lines look long, they typically move people through this place very quickly. Also, lots of direct flights and, unlike places like Atlanta, it's small enough to be a quick pass through.

The security line is the most ridiculous thing ever. They herd you like sheep a large cluster into a small line. They check one person in from each line to the point that even though my husband and I are getting on the same flight and walked up together we got separated. I write this 30 minutes later having moved less then 10 feet from the check in desk knowing I m going to miss my flight since the wait time said 25-30 minutes and it s certaibly been more then that and I m not even halfway up. They suck.

May 2018. The airport is very well constructed and structured. The carts can also be reached and returned quickly.
The entry and exit is terrible and unreasonable for an airport of this size! On arrival we had to wait 40 minutes on the plane because there were too many travelers in the arrival hall. Then we waited another 3 hours for passport control! 8 out of 15 counters were open. Same thing when leaving, waited 2 hours at passport control.
Next time we will fly to Tampa or Miami. Orlando Airport never again!

Very nice airport, very clean, and very new, all dressed as Disney and Universal.
It is the arrival to go to the parks and enjoy its magic. The Internet is free and totally free and unlimited.
It has many shops both food and clothing or several.

My wife and I come to Orlando at least once a year...

My wife and I come to Orlando at least once a year for the past 5 years. I like how efficient the airport itself is BUT the security check attendants have awful attitudes nearly every time we come here. No one explains where to go or what to do. Then they proceed to give you a hard time for not knowing. They also feel the need to make snide remarks because(at least from what I can tell) their position gives them a superiority complex. The airports needs to train their personnel better in handling people. In particular, not letting their position get to their heads. I don't want to deal with this airport for a long time until some change is made.

*Details on the most recent situation**
Female TSA (who looked about in her 40s)
Doesn't explain what to do and rushes us(it was early morning and not busy). Once were done the bag/electronic check, she asks my wife to push the bags through the xray (just 3 small bags, and my wife was on the end closest to it) wife pushes them through and she tries to scold me by saying "chivalry is not dead ya know" my patience was gone and I shot her a mean look to let her know to back off. Seeing I'm upset she laughs it off like it was a joke then says it again once I walk away.

ABM Services a third party company hired by MCO

ABM Services a third party company hired by MCO
This company is a scam.

These two incidents happened in the Orlando international airport.
1. The person that was assigned to my grandmother for wheelchair services came up to us asking for money up front to take my grandmother into the airport in a wheel chair. She was traveling alone. This came as a shock to everyone because we have never been asked to give money for a service that is provided. They get paid by the hour + OPTIONAL tip. Asking for money up front is fraud and gives people the wrong idea, especially those that do not travel with cash or are vulnerable.

2. As we left the airport the teller asked for $5 dollars for parking when it was only $4 (the sign said $6 change, we handed her a $10) meaning they are trying to pocket $1 from each person that pays in cash.

Employees are taking advantage of travelers by trying to pocket money. This is a problem especially with integrity of the company hired by the airport.

I will be contacting as many people as people to resolve this problem. Even the media.

EDITED: (previous 5 Star review)
Honestly, with all the airports I have been too, Orlando seems to be very well rounded over all, they have many restaurants and fast food places, its always clean, and theres enough signs and employees around to help the flow of traffic.

While the interior of the airport is nice it seems to be run with an incredible lack of efficiency. Both flying out and flying in things were quite chaotic with either not enough staff or no clear direction.

WORST airport to have a layover. The way finding is the worst I ve ever seen. It s easier to get around in a foreign country. There is no one around to ask for help. In addition, half of the toilets are inoperable, and the bathroom is filthy.

Unorganized, unfriendly at 3am for my flight I personally felt like I was In jail, tsa expected us to know their line system where as they just made one up out of the blue, I was unhappy and they need to be more welcoming because it's false advertisement from commercials and promotionals.

The airport has been crowded since morning. Be especially careful in the afternoon. It is not uncommon for check-in to take 2 hours and 30 minutes. If you use this airport, early morning is a must. Therefore, it is better to think that it is difficult to use one day for business, in which case you have to stay overnight.

I would recommend flying into and out of Orlando,I experienced a very clean and well run airport, they did a great job of social distancing ,the tsa went surprisingly smooth, problem free and the terminals themselves were clean and had charging ports on all the chairs.Every restroom were also very clean and disinfected. All in all I had a pleasant experience and it made my vacation alot more enjoyable.

Nice airport, fairly easy to navigate except finding rental car garage was not easy. Signage was inadequate. (Signage for Disney shuttle was much more apparent). One I found the rentals everything was great. Easy to get off property and highways were well marked for rental car returns. Airport was clean and plenty of places to eat.

Everything moved fast. Great work TSA. My only issue? The restaurant "MANCHU MOK" for was disgusting!!! Employees were rude! Chicken was horrible! Our family threw all our food away. A wasted $30. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would've asked for our money back! Also, I walked a away for less than a minute and the women cleaning with braids on 6/4 around 9:00 seeped my jacket and put it in her cart! I wasn't that far away.

Apparently a job in the security department you can treat and speak to people like rubbish and forget all manners and being polite. I'm always amazed how a bit of power can go to someone's head. But it's managed to affect everyone working security in this airport. Worst experience to end a holiday and I was travelling with my wife and two young children.
My 6 year old actually asked why everyone was "being nasty".

It takes noting to be polite. Remember that.

Great airport, make sure you get there early because security can take up to 70 minutes depending on the time of day to get through. Good food assortment in the terminal areas, could have some more seating though.

MCO has great connections and good food. A nice little shopping collection as well makes it a good and comfortable airport to fly to or from. And the best thing is that the rental car returns and the parking lot is connected to the airport avoiding having to take external shuttles! Makes travel super easy

I fly out of here often. Unfortunately. First of all, I'm not your "Mommy," nor is my husband your "Papi." Please stop calling us by these names! This happens CONSTANTLY here! This is the United States of America, however this entire airport is filled with rude airline ticket agents, restroom attendants and food service personnel for whom English is not their primary language, and further, ANY ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE IN ANY OTHER LANGUAGE SAVE SPANISH apparently unacceptable here. I have nothing against Hispanic culture, but I do not speak the language and shouldn't have to here. The attendants in the main areas make zero effort to move out of your way and seem to literally like bashing into you then SCREAM spanish swearing (I assume) at you. The bathrooms are ALWAYS empty of towels and soap, water & towel dispensers which are motion detected DO NOT WORK. Other than singing and gossiping in Spanish, what are these people even doing here? I realize the food courts are individually owned but they all seem to throw together something other than pictured and rudely throw it in your general direction before short changing you. I feel there should be some kind of general standard by which each business located within MCO property should be held to. For example, when I rented a car at Thrifty, no one spoke English at all. They had to point to signs and point at where I needed to sign, then I had to click the key fob to figure out which Toyota was mine. It was a nightmare. I had an easier time communicating during my trip to Mexico last year. It's unreal. I understand that there's a lot of Hispanic people in FL but English is the language here - especially at the airport. Being bilingual is fine, that would be great for an international airport but these folks are not. There's only ONE language spoken here, and it isn't English at all and as a result I always have a terrible time getting around and finding my cars and so on.

Excellent airport!

Excellent airport!
The distances are relatively short, structured and clearly signposted, the acceptance and return of rental cars works smoothly, there are many good restaurants and shops (including Universal, Disney and Sea World) for your last holiday souvenirs and there are sufficiently large waiting areas at all gates .
In addition, the cleanliness and orderliness of this airport are significantly better than at some other North American airports.
Particularly noteworthy is the beautifully designed huge atrium in front of the security areas.
With six uses of this airport (three arrivals and three departures, two Lufthansa, four American Airlines), there have never been any problems - in any case, less than 40 minutes after landing with all my luggage, I was at the rental car counter and was about on the day of departure 20 minutes through the controls and in the security area.
Also always caught friendly staff. Very exemplary!

Been here a number of times, to pick up family, and one word comes to mind to describe this place, Zoo .. A nightmare with all the traffic. It wouldn t be all that bad, if people would pay attention and not drive like idiots. Stressful to say the least, and not one of my favorite places. A root canal would be less painful.
