The unique hotel and mall concept in an airport works quite well as a special characteristic of this airport. I have had rather efficient connections here and in my experience, have not had any major issues to be concerned about. I would connect through this airport if my itinerary works well to do so.

Car return fairly easy. Need to walk a ways to get to check in after dropping off a car. Easy to maneuver to security. Shuttle to gates is right after security. Well thought out. Food court/shopping in gate area.

I fly almost every month, and of all the airports I have even been to Orlando Int has to be by far one of the worst in terms of TSA. Bathrooms are clean, and the the other amenity's are fine, but waiting in TSA for an hour is unacceptable. Especially when im going in the longest zig-zag line i have ever seen in my entire life just to get back to the initial entry point and see them letting people cut in line. Not priority boarding or first class, (which I was) but just letting the line that I had waited in for 15 mins just cut in after waiting for almost an hour. I dont know what inbreed retard controls TSA at MCO but they need to be fired NOW! Not only that but out of 6 checkpoints they only have 2 open, at peak hours. Take the bus to Tampa and fly from there. MCO is BY FAR the most unorganized airports I have ever seen. That includes 3rd world countries. Now I have to sleep in MIA.

For the size and volume of passengers that it handles, this airport is surprisingly easy to navigate and security is not as long as smaller or even bigger airports. There are a good variety of food options by the gates and the airport is clean. It does look a bit dated, but with renovations it should look more modern.

It is a very easy airport to walk, has good signage, clean and organized. It has stores to buy a souvenir of your visit to Orlando. I was able to take a break after taking a stressful flight in its different areas located in the terminals. There is a hotel inside the same airport that I saw it fantastic but I noticed that there is little promotion and themes and allegorical images of the amusement parks that is the great strength of this city that is tourism that comes from all over the world. Point to improve which passes uncomfortable moments is the check and scan area of the luggage, the staff is very friendly with a great sense of doing things well. I am not an expert but I noticed that it is a very small area to serve a large number of visitors who return to their destinations of origin. I recommend visiting Orlando is a very clean city with excellent weather has the best amusement parks in the world. Wifi signal is very good.

People here are just plain rude. Told to watch your luggage and push it in, when you do they tell you not to push it.

You wait in line to buy food and they ask the order of the person behind you when your parent hasn't even ordered yet.

Save yourself the headache and fly out of tampa if possible.

I'm from Indiana and just got back from a trip to ...

I'm from Indiana and just got back from a trip to Florida on Monday. Flying out was obviously the only reason to go through TSA, and to be honest-it was HORRIBLE. Orlando is a populated airport but still, you'd think they would have it figured out. Everyone was nice and friendly but the TSA line was a nightmare. It took about 45min-to an hour to get through it and that's with 4 lines where they check boarding pass/ID's. Then they merge ALL the lines into a smaller line to get to the security part. And on that day, they added 3 extra lines on the far left so it alternated between letting them go in the line then letting everyone else go into the small line (yes, I know very confusing). Once you get to the security part, it's pretty easy and fast (about 30 seconds total for me to get through). Then after, you go wait for the monorail and they for some reason had it closed off and a huge crowd was waiting so it was a total stampede. The airport is very confusing with the main terminal and then taking a monorail all the way one of the four terminals for your plane. They don't have the best food choices-we were in 70-100 (I think) and they had outback which was nice, very friendly people. But overall the only good part was boarding my plane home...

The reason I put 4 stars is not just the place but the Orlando plane. The transportation was not Soo well. A man thought it was a good idea to put his crusty feet on the head of my seat in the back. But overall it was fine. I ordered some water and peanuts it was delicious. The air was clean and breathable.

Outdated airport, dirty areas that should be attended too, although minimal food choice.

UPDATE: Same problems, however just many more people, by far longer waits at the 5 food options that exist, if you do not get precheck for TSA, highly recommend to come 1 hour additionally early, the signs will say "30 min wait" when in reality it is close to 50 minutes, use caution! You have been warned!

Orlando Airport is one of the busiest airport too during my visit in sprint break this year.

It's clean and well organized though a little tricky due to lack of signs to find directions when you enter at departures.

Open sky roof in Airport is beautiful and makes it stand out from other airports.

I was not aware of the benefits of being a Gold member until we arrived at MCO Hertz counter. The experience was very rewarding and the staff was very accommodating and friendly and we were thoroughly pleased with the vehicle we were able to choose. Of course, you cannot please "all the people, all of the time", however, we were VERY pleased with the experience and will continue to use Hertz whenever we rent. Folks, just make sure the tank is completely filled upon returning the vehicle because the fuel charges are astronomical!

Worst TSA security system I have ever seen, lines go into lines, and merge into other lines. Took close to an hour to get through all the different lines. Restaurant choices looked decent before the security lines, but who wants to risk missing your flight. Restaurant choices at gates were basically carry out, fast food, besides one medicore restaurant. I know people in Orlando are used to waiting in long lines at the parks, but this is ridiculous..lol.

Visually a pretty airport. Good views. I ve always done the pre-check so I don t wait in line, however I have noticed the lines at this airport are considerably longer, which I can write off as it being a vacation hot spot. The Disney Store is good size. Decent selection of food - not nearly enough seating to accommodate the amount of people flowing through... I see many families struggling with kids and luggage that can find nowhere to sit. Ample parking and friendly staff, though.

The rental pick up is a hot mess. As an example, If you come in to terminal B you have to go to A. But you have to go down to bags, then up across, down again. Repeat on departure. Just horrible setup and since I have done it twice in past 2 months confusion by many as I watch people getting lost, going wrong way, unsure. If you want someone walking exercise this task is for you. Then not to mention the wait in line for a car. In November not as bad 10 minutes. In December it was almost 40. Time from bag to car pick up 1 hour. That's bad.

One of my least favorite airports. Good food options? Guess the people that say that haven't travelled much. Past security there really isn't anything. TSA/Private security are pretty terrible. Bathrooms too small near the terminals, never enough seating. Smells like the hvac hasn't been cleaned in years.

I've flown into MCO multiple times through the years as it's the definitely the best airport for Disney and Universal.

The TSA was efficient and I was really please with how fast the TSA pre-check line moved quickly. The staff is used to the huge crowds that move through this airport daily. Expect lots of families with kids at all points throughout MCO. There's a grand Hyatt in the main lobby of the airport that makes for a very spacious arena like ceiling.

There's plenty of shops and food options throughout the airport along with plenty of seating and power outlets to keep you connected. Disney shops and merchandise is abundant here in case you didn't get enough Disney on your vacation. Overall, this airport is adequate with taking care of the high volume, but I would still suggest getting here early as it can get packed with Disney families going home the same time you are. Good Luck!

As a documented wheel chair assistance needed customer, the wheel chair attendant was very careless and neglectful during the transition to our transfer terminal. He left me on the walk way for debarking the plane and stated that he had to ensure the plane was completed unloaded before he could transport me or my guest could push me. I was the first wheel chair assistance off of the plane and there were 2 other aids that could have done that. Never the less, he left me in the alley way and never returned. Me and my partner had to figure out a way for her to push me, gather my luggage and push it to the customs private check area. Again no one lifted a finger to help, not even the officers. I am very displeased with the treatment provided. I reported the information to the birding supervisor at the check in. He stated that he would speak to the supervisor because it was acceptable given that the company had a contact to do a job and follow it through. This all took place in Orlando.
Over all, TSA delivers a no approach or question demeanor. They don't make you feel comfortable to ask questions nor do they volunteer to get you the help you need. TSA treats the flyers as if they are invaluable and not equal. If we don't understand something, we have the right to ask for clarity. That can be worked on in all of the airports I had the pleasure of stopping in. Honestly, it seems as if 90% of the TSA agents are rude and hostile.
