Simply amazing!!! Your eyes won't believe such a beautiful and magnificent place is being built. And is not finished yet.

I strongly recommend to book your tickets in advance at least for one month, depending on the season of traveling.

This is a Barcelona must-see!

The Cathedral is massive. Be prepared to strain your head to see up to the top. There's a metro stop very close.

Make sure to read about the history before you go inside so you can fully grasp the architecture and experience.

La Sagrada Familia is absolutely a great place to go in Barcelona. The design of exterior and interior are very majestic even though some parts of it is not finished yet. Its recommended to purchase online ticket before you go here so you can save some time to enjoy more about this place.

It is very beautiful. As soon as you enter the main inside area the sheer scale is impressive. You would be clicking pictures left right and center. My suggestion is to just let it soak in for few minutes before you let your inner photographer go wild.

One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen, definitely worth a visit. There's so much interesting history behind this church. The architecture of this building is so unique and it stands out from everything else, and it's enormous. Besides, it's a must visit for a trip to Barcelona.

Fantastic architecture. Simply breathing. Never seen a cathedral so grand and purely artistic. Great tourist destination for families, groups, friends and even solo. It's right by the subway so pretty easy to access. Lots of restaurants and shops to get food or souvenirs. Very worth the time.

Worth the visit. The audio tour was a bit confusing at times, but generally good once you sorted out where you need to stand for the given track. I am looking forward to seeing the Basilica once it is complete in 2026.

Incredible! No surprise there:) This place was breathtaking, both inside and out. My favorite part was taking the elevator up into the columns. It s a little extra to do that, but worth it! You have to wait in line, but it went by really quick. They have an audio tour too which was awesome.

One of the most renowned church in Spain. It s so big and magnificent and definitely a sight to see in Barcelona. Construction started in 1880 by Gaudi and it still in progress! That s over 130 years of construction and you can tell the works from the outside. Both side of the church are so well detailed. Going inside you can tell it so amazing and mesmerizing. This is the first place for anyone visiting to check out!

A must see. The pics. and anything I can write cannot even come close to describe to you how awesome this place is. The reason for the 4 is because the security guards there are intense. You'll see what I mean. I hope this helps.

WOW. That bulding is just beautiful. A must for everyone who is travelling to Barcelona. You can buy the tickets online and also fix the time in advance. This is to reduce the queue time. On a sunny day the windows are reflecting beautiful colours, which makes the place very mystically. We spent there more than 1 hour.

The architecture here created by Anton Gaudi is absolutely stunning. Work started in 1852 and is expected to finish in 2026 this is largely due to financing such a project on such a large scale.

It is fascinating just to see it.

It is a must see when in Barcelona. Reserve your ticket ahead of time as it gets busy real fast and you might not be able to get in if you didn t purchase your tickets ahead of time. I suggest to get the audio guide as well because without it you won t know what you re looking at. Even better is to find a local guide that will show you around.

Simply stunning.

Always book your tickets in advance and make sure you dress appropriately otherwise you won't enter.

There are also 2 security checks to go though.

At the end of the visit there is a nice shop and toilets.

A proper visit if the Sagrada Familia will take few hours.

This place is known to be beautiful. No need to talk about how amazing this church is.
MAKE SURE YOU EITHER BOOK ONLINE OR BOOK A DAY IN ADVANCE!!
Make sure you book the Tower view as well. You cannot purchase while you are doing your visit.
The audio tour DOES NOT come with headphones, make sure you bring your own. It will be really hard to take pictures and listen to the audio without headphones.
The interior natural lighting comes theory colored glasses, i hope that you are lucky to visit this place on a sunny day. It will be mesmerizing!!!!

This is definitely one of the most delightful arch...

This is definitely one of the most delightful architectural marvels I've been too. The Sagrada Familia is stunning and beautiful beyond words and it's not even complete yet!

Here are my top 7 recommendations to help you with planning and preparation.

1) Get the audio guide. It was amazing to use it in our time there.

2) Go an a free walking tour (where you tip the guide at the end) where you get to learn a little more about Gaudi. Tours start in the Gothic quarter and end at the Sagrada Familia where the guide will tell you about this building from the outside.

3) Armed with you knowledge of Gaudi, spend time in looking at and understanding the different stories depicted on the facades of the church.

4) Definitely book online to ensure you're able to get access at the time of your choosing.

5) Book a visit to the tower. We went up the Nativity tower and I enjoyed it to some extent despite being petrified of heights.

6) Visit when the sun's rays light the church up so you can see it through the colours of the stained glass.

7) Walk to both parks on either side of Sagrada Familia for nice, fun leisure times and also for stunning photos of the structure.

Magnificent even if you have seen many cathedrals. Walk inside, ignore the crowds around you and let yourself be absorbed by the space. It is truly universal. As with all the well known sites the exit is always through the gift shop.

This place is awe inspiring! It is so big and it's not even done! There were a ton of people there so be prepared for that. We saw a review that said it wasn't worth it to go in due to construction.....WRONG!!! So glad we didn't listen. It was so beautiful inside! The windows are amazing. We couldn't get enough pictures inside or outside. Make sure you see all sides as they are all different. Pick up one of their guides!

Gaudi s magnum opus

Gaudi s magnum opus

Any itinerary for Barcelona without this would be incomplete. In fact, if you don t see anything else, just visit this building. It doesn t even matter if you aren t a church type, or have been around every church in the world already nothing is going to prepare you for the interior of Gaudi s magnum opus (Gaudi most recognized work, but also his best). It is also rated as one of the world's top attractions by TripAdvisor users worldwide.

It was designed by Antoni Gaudi back in 1882 and is expected to be finished in 2026 which marks the 100th death anniversary of its architect Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi knew that he would not live to finish the temple and once famously said, 'My client is not in a hurry' by this he was referring to God as his client. 2026 will be 144 years after the building was started. Over 20 architects and 200 building workers are employed here. It s a huge Basilica with admirable art and architecture.

He could not live to see it complete but his designs/sketches have been used for completing his work.
No pictures or videos do justice to this wonderful monument. You can stand for hours craning your neck admiring the beauty and looking at the glass artwork inside is beautiful. The play of light and colors inside is jaw-dropping. There is a museum in the basement giving you a glimpse of the history behind the construction.

Advanced reservation with time slot (Well in advance) is a must else you find them all sold out, and you 'll be entered in this time slot only. The audio guide is advisable to not miss the intricacies. The ticket prices are on the steeper side with various ranges starting from a visit to the interior of the basilica to climbing up the towers. But you know the good part? You are contributing to a bit of actual history here, as your funds go towards the on-going construction of this incredible building.

Need to mention Must must see ??

This church was such a splendid place to explore. Such contrast! We spent more time here than we ever expected. The architecture is mind blowing!. A bit crowded but that is to be expected. And the climb from the tower was quick and easy even with stops to be honest. Definitely a place worth visiting.

The Sagrada Familia is one of the most popular and magnificent attractions of Barcelona, which worth visiting. I did not enter inside, because the waiting line was extremely long, and we were out of time. So if you wish to visit it, make sure to book the tickets online. The entry fee is costly, but i think it worth it. The fascinating fact of Sagrada Familia, that it is still building since 1882 year, and is planned to finish by 2032 !!! It means how much it should be the complicated architecture.

I visited here at midnight in June 2018. I and a local people had a dinner 9 pm, which was still bright. After dinner he send me to the hotel and stopped by here for me on the way to the hotel. It is a magnificent building. I was surprised because there were many tourists even though it was midnight.

Certainly crowded. The employees and security have the system down so that everything moves at a rapid pace. The audio tour was a little confusing on where to be when, but ultimately we figured it out. After the tour, there s a large museum that could take equal the amount of time as the cathedral. As always, exit through the gift shop.

It s a beautiful place and you will spend hours inside and outside. We spend around one hour in there and we did not check the towers. If you like to see the towers you will need to purchase a different ticket. Go early or late so it s not as busy when you get there.

The building is very special and unique. The audio guide gives a lot of useful and interesting information. It is different to a lot of other cathedrals / basilicas we have seen in London and Italy. Book the timed entry up Passion Tower for a great view of the city.

The only downside is that the staff are super disinterested and unhelpful. I got separated from my husband and after 30 minutes fruitlessly searching, I asked the information desk if they can please help me call him. I got a one word answer - No.

Don t expect anything from the staff.

This is a truly unique cathedral... Usually when you walk into cathedrals they are definitely jaw dropping, but also can be a bit dark/gothic/ominous feeling, but La Sagrada has a totally different, "lighter" feel because it looks like a forest. Lots of lighting and colors and tree-like columns. Gaudi has a completely different, unique style than other architects due to his obsession with designing things based on nature.

When in Barcelona you must make time to visit La Sagrada Familia. This is probably Gaudi s most famous works and the work is not yet done. It will be still many more years before it s completed.

Buy tickets online to make it easy. Audio tour is included with the tickets. It s family and stroller friendly. We had 3 kids when we went and that was not an issue.

Do the hop-on, hop-off bus for easy access.

Almost unbelievable. Entirely breathtaking. One of the most amazing buildings in the world and still not finished. It could be from another planet, or an alternate dimension... but there it is with strawberries at the top of the columns.

Be sure to visit the crypt to understand a little about how the building was designed. Gaudi had nothing more than pen and paper and physics, which makes it even more impressive.

Stunning example of Architecture even if it is not finished yet. Be ready to find lots of people in front trying to take pictures from the outside. If you want a better shot and with less of a crowd, go a few meters back, inside the park and you will be able to get some nice photos there. Easy to find and to get there, as it is with most things in Barcelona, with their very well designed public transportation links. I did not want to pay to get in as there is too many other attractive and free sights to visit while in the city. For anyone spending a few days there, or even a day, make sure you pay a visit to this beautiful cathedral

Words cannot explain the wonder of this work and imagination by Gaudi. This is a must see on things you must see while in Europe. Plan ahead, since many people go to this basilica, the lines are long, i recommend a good tour guide from a known company; worth paying a few more euros for such a fantastic place.

The La Sagrada Familia is definitely the biggest, most historical Church dating back to at least when Big Ben in London was being built. The Church itself is absolutely huge, both interior and exterior, which is definitely something to look forward to. I remember my family were telling me how amazing it was to explore and see it from such a distance, they had the time of their life when they visited Barcelona in Spain specifically for the La Sagrada Familia, and I think that I should take a tour myself to see the greatest, most well kept historical landmark that there is to see, that s when I want to go to Spain to see it, only because of the big Church that s surrounding the city of Barcelona in Spain . In addition to this stunning masterpiece of a project, I and my family would honestly recommend going to Barcelona to see it, you will be greeted to something so historical and just immaculate on the inside and out.

Was it worth it paying that 20 -40 odd euro to enter a cathedral? Yes yes and a hundred times yes. I am not a big fan of Churches and generally practices atheism but the wonder and majesty of this cathedral will blow you away. It is not fully constructed yet and I am not sure if it will ever be - dates just keep getting delayed and delayed, but it is definitely a better time right now to visit than few years back. The interiors are more complete and the subtle rays of light peak through you will the marble ceilings.

Beautiful place and definitely a highlight of Barcelona. Very expensive, but it's worth it I guess as the money they go back as an investment for the cathedral. Book tickets in advance, otherwise the queue is enormous. Enjoy the moment and the park in front of it as it's a once in a lifetime place to go. There are no two days the same in there as it's in continuing building. Highly recommended.

One of the most impressive (if not most impressive) site we visited on our trip to Spain. The architecture was so unique and amazing. Some parts seem almost childlike. There is so much detail to admire on the outside and such cool use of light and interesting sculptures on the inside. We did the guided tour in Spanish. I would have preferred just wandering around myself with a short description from Rick Steve's. There's just too much excessive detail on these tours that I'lll forget by the time I'm back home. Also I prefer the freedom of exploring myself. Having said that the your guide was very friendly.

This is a pretty cool church. But from a designer point of way, I think there are too many styles going on in one place. I wish they just went with one style to keep it unified and consistent.

My group and I didn t have time to go inside but I heard that it s beautiful! Also the lines were super long, I think you can cut down the time by getting tickets ahead of time online.

If you would like a photo with the church, there is a park near by that you can get a great photo. If you are saying at the main entrance, the park would be on the left side.

I would like to come back and visit the inside as well when the church is finished building in 2026.

Book ahead of time! This would be worth the entry fee at 3x the price. The genius and originality of Antoni Gaudi is breathtaking and evident in every inch of a wondrous construction that looks from the inside like it grew organically. Every. Detail. Is. Magic.

The exterior is free to view from the street of course and is more intricate than you can imagine but getting inside to see it all up close really allows you to feel the mood each sculpture evokes.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful! Gaudi's architecture is something else. Fairly priced to get in (they have half price hours for people under 30 and seniors) and so worth it. Great place to take in architecture but if you are religious it is an amazing opportunity to pray in such a beautiful place of worship.
