A must see, even if you hold no religion. Truly an amazing building.
A must see, even if you hold no religion. Truly an amazing building.
Awe-inspiring and beautiful. The architecture style will leave you amazed
Very unique construction. If you see in detail small small parts are jointed very carefully. Daily lots of people visiting it.
Really nice place. We went for the misa on Sunday morning and got in for free.
Just awesome that is all I can say! Dont bother buying fast track though as everyone queues the same.
Very touristy and crowded! But it was well worth traveling to. It could be an all day adventure to take it all there is to see.
Certainly a breathtaking cathedral, perhaps one of the greatest in all of Europe. Though tickets may be overpriced, be sure to book in advanced to get discounts and ensure reservations, as same day admission can lead to long lines. Security is also strict, so be prepared and not bring anything you wouldn t bring to an airport.
Another place you need to book well in advance.
Fortunately you are still able to admire it from the outside. It s truly magnificent and unique. I love that you could visit again and it won t be the same. It s still in progress and yet still extraordinary.
Stunningly beautiful. Worth every penny to go inside. The security was a real pain and very poorly run, so be ready for that. I recommend going as early as possible to avoid the crowds and get a glimpse as the the morning sun shines through the stained glass windows.
Precious!! Marvelous!!
I literally jaw dropped, goosebumps.. You are in Barcelona then never never miss Sagrada familia church!!
Marvellous monument!!! Didn t have the opportunity to go inside because of the long queue. However this venue has a feel good factor to it. It cannot be missed.
It s a must see when in Barcelona. Even though it has been in construction for at least last 8 years and since I last visited the cranes are still in the landscape. The place is crowded but there is a nice park behind it to relax and with some flying wild parrots. Very enjoyable visit as usual.
Absolutely exceeded my expectations in so many ways. An absolute spectacle and enjoyed every minute. Recommend getting at least an audio guide so you can get an understanding of the reasoning behind the certain parts of the buildings. Book well in advance!!!
Tickets are quite expensive. Especially for students (you only get 2 euros discount.. what a joke). We bought 2 tickets with audioguides but i would recomment you to only buy classic ticket. Most information are on the panels inside so you won't miss anything important.
Beautiful and amazing architecture with an impressive view. If your in Spain I would recommend you coming by here for this beauty. Wish I was able to go inside, next time for sure.
a true work of art, leaves you speechless, for anyone who arrives in Barcelona it is essential to have a visit
Amazing place to visit! We ordered tickets online ahead of our visit and were able to go up the Nativity Tower. We enjoyed being able to walk around and spend as much time as we wanted admiring the masterpiece. Will be back once it is completed.
Beautiful. Weird. Unusual. Unique. Ugly. Part finished. Fantastic. Morbid. Incredible .Popular. Historic. All words you could use depending on which part you look at. Everyone takes pictures of the beautiful parts but little pictures are taken of the sheeting , concrete and half finished reinforcing bars sticking out . Parts are wonderful however. BOOK IN ADVANCE or you will not get in the same day.
This is a dazzling piece of work! Astonishing build and incredible detail! Every supporting column, every window, every tower and every front, every diferente material has a story and a reason to be, it is just magnificent to watch but if you buy the audio guide tour or if you learn about the build previously to your visit then it will become a super immersive and awe filled experience!
It was the highest point of my sight seeing trip as I felt at peace when all those colors rushed through the windows in such a beautifully crafted manner.
Don't pay for a tour as you can enjoy the Sagrada Familia with out wasting your money. Just a epic church and one of a kind! Definitely a must go attraction in Barcelona.
Beautiful architecture but very busy so I'd recommend that you book tickets in advance. There are two parks that serve refreshments close by so you've got options after exploring inside the church.
A definite must see in Barcelona
Is was amazing, if you have doubts of going inside believe me you won't regret it. For me that I've been in many many many religious places this is totally different! And I recommend the audio guide because it has a lot of important information.
Unbelievably beautiful. Buy tickets, do the tour, see it all. Absolutely breathtaking.
A must see!!!
I booked the ticket online in advance and didn t have to wait at the entrance.
There are so many details about this building and every facade has it s own story.
The inside was breathtaking. I loved the light.
My ticket also included going up the passion tower. It s well organized and ok to go up with the lift. The view was fine... But I was worried going back down the narrow staircase. The tour ended with a visit in the museum where you can find out more about planning the Sagrada.
It's the brightest church i have ever seen. It's simply beautiful and the entire building is like a picture with 1000 details. You can watch and watch and watch, and you'll find one more thing to discover every second.
Classical and most popular opus magnum of superior mind. The monument of cosmogony and symbolism. Surely, must see. Be mindful that this is the remembrance of human vanity at first place.
What an amazing building! One of Gaudi s most representative works definitely worth visiting!
Make sure you book your tickets online before your visit. Tickets at the entrance ticket office are usually sold out for the day
Very impressive building, like nothing I had ever seen before. We didn't go in as it was very expensive and the lines were super long, but even viewing it from the outside is worth the trip
Absolutely breath taking building! We have been here several times, and it is wonderful to see the building finally complete. There is a little museum downstairs, but the internal structure is wonderful, and you can go up to the towers.
Absolutely crazy on the weekends and summer, audio tour available, buy tickets online to avoid line
It was closed... Sad, but the outside... Magical, so beautiful... You can't leave Barcelona without seeing La Sagrada Familia.
It is a must see in Barcelona. It's big, but indicate. Make sure to go to the top. The view of city is awesome.
One of the most amazing man-made structures I've ever been in. Incredible beauty. Nothing like it.
You will be in awe of the sheer massive beauty, architecture and design. You will not be disappointed and it is definitely a to-do in Barcelona.
Great and magical place , fast service when you get checked - like at the airport but waaaaaay faster , kind stuff answering all questions like mine for example - has there been a wedding in the church.
Beautiful and awe inspiring cathedral and museum. Good views from the top of the towers as well. However the security team of the church leaves lot wanting. They're extremely rude. Before entering the area, when going through the metal detectors and scanners, they unload everything from your bags and there is no area to pack all the contents of your bag back before they hurry and shove you to go through the next gantry. 5 stars for location, 1 star for staff.
Gaudi's masterpiece that is worth to visit. We went there once and feel very sad to leave that we took another hour just to look at it.
A must see in Barcelona. Still not finished but great to see and sit in the little parc in front of it. Whatout for criminals.
It is beautiful, and almost unreal, with the design outside and in, and the colours and play of natural lighting.
This historical church is known for its architectural design. Amazing sights!
Wow! Breathtaking! Pictures can't do this place justice. Must be seen in person!
Simply awesome. Gaudi's masterpiece very well explained on the audio guide. A must do in your life time.
Amazing architecture from the outside and just as stunning from the inside. Would recommend booking a guided tour, we booked ours via Expedia with Visit Europa Today, as we found out a lot of details about the building and it's construction that you would never know from just looking at it yourself. Truely amazing and well worth the small extra cost of a guided tour. Our guide Georgina was excellent, made sure everyone could hear her clearly and had working headsets, and spoke in English with ease. Fingers crossed its complete by the target date of 2026!!
Absolutely outstanding! The cathedral is still under construction and is expected to be all done in 2026 in time for the 100 year anniversary of famed architect Gaudi's untimely passing away. The architecture is absolutely outstanding and leaves you awestruck and humbled. The details are mindboggling with each cathedral face, each pillar, each glass stain and each entrance having a story and reason behind it. It's a celebration of the Christian faith and one not to miss regardless of ones own faith.
Plan your trip, it's gets busy! Buy tickets in advance. The base one gets you in but does not have an audio. The next level has the audio version which tells you all about the cathedral's origin, history and future plans. You get a telephone like device that gives you details based on which channel you pick. Channel are numbered according to corresponding places in the cathedral so it's like having a guided tour as you walk around the cathedral. Afternoons are busy but manageable. There are lots of staff to help you with any questions you may have.
A must see as you soak in the sites and sounds of beautiful Barcelona!
Visiting the Sagrada Familia has been on my bucket list for a long time, and it's safe to say it doesn't disappoint. Its imposing spires and facades tower of the nearby building and Barcelona skyline.
The queues to get into the site are very long, and tours sell out very quickly.
Just walking around the basilica is amazing in it's own right, just seeing Gaudi's most famous work from the outside in all its glory is an experience in itself.
What stuck me as odd was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere despite the hundreds of people milling around taking photos and quietly listening to tour guides in all languages. It was truly breathtaking.
If you are visiting Barcelona male sure to stop off and marvel at this amazing piece of architecture.
It s a beautiful places and there are many visitors there take a photos for the old church
You can buy a souvenir for the church and for the city(Barcelona) it s cheap around 1 Euro for one pice
This area is very crowded in the morning because its a Tourist area
This Church still under construction until today
, and i think it s a highest building in Barcelona
La Sagrada Familia is absolutely stunning. The moment you first step out of the metro and turn to look at it, it definitely took my breathe away. The details and the sheer size of it is incredible. I bought my tickets in advance and was able to walk around before my tour. I highly recommend doing the tour as there is so much information and history about this church. People said that the best time to visit the Sagrada Familia was during sunset...they were right.
What a mesmerizing building and architecture. Still in progress and beautiful as ever. If you need to get ticket early for anything in Barcelona it's this!!!
A highlight of my life. One of the most spectacular buildings I will ever see. It's a shame of all the building work still ongoing but still does not take away from its magnificence
Amazing construction but were asked to leave because they had to close it for Christmas Eve activity. Did not get to see all there were to see. Should have told us when we bought the tickets.
Absolutely stunning work of art. A must visit if you are in Barcelona. I have seen many Catholic Churches all across Europe but this has to be the most unique one. No photos can justify how gorgeous this place is. Wish the build was complete.
Absolutely spectacular from the outside and apologetically stunning from the inside. Light comea through the windows in majestic colors and the whole experience was extraordinary.
The highlight of our Barcelona visit. An absolutely breathtaking marvel of Gaudi's inspiration, creative genius and commitment to unique excellence. Spiritually moving.
Amazing! It Is highly recommended to visit the building with a guide. There are so many amazing details!
Mighty impressive building. Only reason not to give 4 stars is the security checkpoint. It's so slow and disorganised that it's ridiculous.
So many grand things to see in Europe when it comes to temples, churches, etc but this one is like no other and truly awe-inspiring in every way. Technically there is still construction going on and it wont be officially done until 2026 but there is enough here to make your jaw drop. Get the audio guide, its quick and easy to use and provides much to the experience.
I think La Sagrada Familia is a really imposing building. First time I saw it I was in shock about how intricate it is. It s huge amount of culture in one place, and a vision of an excellence architect. By the time I went there (October) I caught a big line and had scheduled the visit for 4pm. I went inside the building at that exactly time and it was really crowded. I asked to have audio guides, but the grandiosity of the place didn t allow me to pay attention to it. So I would advise not to waste your money in it. I had to read the whole story of it online after the visit. It s really well located and the street in front of it it s blocked to traffic due the amount of people there. You could see locals but tourist where the main crowd there.
Inside the building it s gorgeous, the work with lights it s absolutely genius. It s a spot you can t miss in Barcelona. Payed a bit with audio guide but don t mind paying for the nativity tower visit. It s totally worth it.
Soon to be back!
As you probably know... this monument is the exlibris of Barcelona city.
I visited La Sagrada Familia, in the last hour of daylight... so it was "delightful" to see the sun effect in the multicolour vitrals around the cathedral.
The architecture is quite extraterrestrial, full of geometric patterns... i was left speechless.
I visited Barcelona twice (february and november 2019)... and I only had the chance to visit the cathedral in november.
Plan ahead your visit, because it could be very difficult to buy tickets since they finish quite fast. I could buy mine online, one week and couple of days prior the visit.
I bought a normal entrance, and it was enough. Just be sure to not spend a lot of time inside the basilica area, because you still have the museum to visit.. and it's quite big, which can left you without much time to be seen.
Wonderfully historic and modern art the same time. Booking can be a little confusing with so many options available different prices if you pay online. Ladies must dress appropriately not showing too much leg. The church is incredible inside, the stained glass windows and high beams are definitely worth the entrance free
An absolutely beautiful monument that makes you feel like you're looking at one of the wonders of the world. Gaudi has outdone himself by building this piece of art, it's a true achievement that's yet to be completed. An estimated 2026 completion to mark the 100 year anivarsary of his death.
This is a must visit for everyone visiting the beautiful city of Barcelona. I cant wait to come back for its completion
Best church i have visited....
The premises is great , Bit crowdy.
But you will surely like it....
Unique experience. Its worth buying the tickets in advance online as there can be massive price difference. Though its worth visiting inside.
If you like architecture and fantastic building projects, La Sagrada Familia is definitely a must. A project that was supposed to be completed for the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudi's passing. Tourism and private donations finance the continued construction. The building is magnificent with all the details and it would be absolutely fantastic if it were completed. If you want to visit the basilica, it is good to buy tickets in advance.
Great place to visit. Audioguide is a must here as it describes so many details of the project. You can see the everything is on the puprose there. Gaudi was really great architect. Construction is ongoing but there is still a lot to see. I recommend to plan your visit in the morning and buy the tickets online to avoid long queues.
Amazing church...is beautiful..not words can describe the amazing church Barcelona have
Very crowded but still beautiful and is the must come! The full construction will finish in 2026 and the main will finish in 2022 designed by Antonio Guadi. Walkie-talkies are provided in many languages such Chinese, English, Deutsch, More
Was the most Holy Building I have ever entered, very hard to explain the atmosphere inside. Was harder to enter this building than to go through customs, but so worth the visit! You will never see another Holy place like this and the architecture as designed by Gaudi. We went in the run up to Christmas and Christmas Carol's were been sung and played. Definitely a place you must visit at least once in a lifetime. I will be returning!
Buy tickets online as it's cheaper this way. Go there in the early morning, otherwise you won't have space to move because of all the tourists that come around 11-12 o'clock.
Of course, it's a must visit. Moreover, it's an excellent idea to take an audio guide. This way you will make the best of your experience at Sagrada.
Too beautiful for words. Anyone visiting Barcelona has to see this magnificent beauty of genius. The audio guide was precise and extremely good with detailed instructions. The service was professional and safe. Gaudi was phenomenal. Hope to see it completed by 2026.
Buy tickets online and expect to go through security when you get there. Get the guided tour it's so informative and there is a lot to learn about this beautiful cathedral. Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy and take in everything because of all the details.
We went when the sun was shining through the west stained glass windows and it was absolutely gorgeous and picture worthy.
You can purchase tickets for the towers and also the crypt.
This place is stunning! The audio tour is very interesting and helpful and helps guide the visit so I highly recommend that. The architectural features in this basilica are spectacular and unique. It's such an awe-inspiring place. MUST SEE
Amazing place! We went a few years ago and were in awe. So beautiful!
Beautiful stained glass in a beautiful building. My visit raised for me lots of questions as after Guadi died, his plans for the building were destroyed in a fire.
What a marvelous Church to visit in Barcelona, clearly influenced by Gaudi as the former architect. Whilst it is stunning on the outside it is impressive on the inside, with a variety of colours created with the stained glass windows. I would recommend paying to enter. An audio guide would be useful however we went on a cycling tour which involved a brilliant description of La Sagrada Familia and felt the audio guide wasn't needed. A must for all!!
Gorgeous place to visit. Highly recommend in late afternoon as the sun sets. The light streaming in through the windows is great at this time.
Very worthwhile visiting, try and go inside if you can, so interesting, every part of the design has meaning. Allow enough time time though, we spent a good 3 hours there.
Only downside was actually trying to buy an entry ticket at the location. Little signage to point the way and you have to be searched just to buy a ticket? Bit of an odd setup!
As a Foreigner Tourist i didn t know that you have to book or buy a ticket for entrance when i went to buy they said all sold !! Btw i enjoy the area around ( you must check out they website before you come )
I don't want to give away the ending of this adventure for you but I will say that the outside and the inside are like 2 different animals. Night and day. I do not like the outside but the inside was spectacular.
To tell you the truth, in the beginning we were not keen on visiting this place because it just didn't seem like our cup of tea. We really enjoy visiting old European churches but this just seemed a little too strange for us. Because it is such an icon, however, we decided we could not leave Barcelona without visiting this place. We bought an entrance online that allowed us to pass the general line and go in with a tour. I highly recommend doing this . there is so much about this church that you would not know without someone explaining it to you, so please sign up for a guided tour in advance. Because so many people visit this place , doing this in advance or as much in advance as possible is highly recommended. We booked ours only 48 hours in advance but it was not the peak tourist season yet Either.
Just gorgeous. Wveryone needs to visit during his/her stay in Barcelona.
You have to visit here if u r in Barcelona, take your time to enjoy all the details and beauty, take the guided tour, go up to the tower and come down (very narrow stairs see the pics) and enjoy the view from top
Is a must. Beautiful. You didn't visit Barcelona if you don't visit La Sagrada Familia.
A must see place in Barcelona! Make sure to reserve online ticket and use the audioguide
More beautiful than I have ever imagined. I had an audiovisual tour of the inside and outside of this stunning Basilica. Would recommend this tourist attraction to everyone who visits Barcelona.
I would give a 6 or higher if I could. Simply amazing. One of the great wonders of the world. Cant wait to be back when its finished in 2026. Pictures cannot do it justice.
A must view once in a lifetime destination. The architect has designed a masterpiece. Attention to detail is awesome. When descending the 400 stairs you will appreciate the attention to detail. Breathtaking.
You are in Barcelona, so you're obviously going to visit the Sagrada. If you're smart, you already ordered the tickets online a few weeks before coming here, because that way you only paid 17 euros instead of the outrageous price they charge locally, or online once the tickets are sold out. There will be scalpers that offer tours, these may work but I tend to avoid them. In order to buy tickets locally, you have to go to the other side of the building. There they will give you tickets for a specific time slot, which will not be the time you arrive but usually be around two hours later (so if you arrive at 11, the tickets will be for 1). You can then circle to the other side of the building and at 15 minutes before the time listed you can start queuing up to get inside. The queue moves fast, but getting the audio tour will slow things down, as this is again in another corner of the building. Once inside things will initially look confusing: everything is still under construction, so big walls prevent you from getting the full view. However, at some point you will suddenly see the amazing (and rather modern) view of what they are trying to accomplish, which is definitely worth some of the hassle (although maybe not all).
My father would complain that the styles of the building are all different. They clearly had money issues and had to resort to cheaper sculptures, and the styles changed accordingly. It is also a bit modern compared to the other churches that I visited, but I am not sad that went went there and looked around.
The atmosphere of Sagrada familia is unbelievable..when you seat inside and watch on the beautiful wall and the light coming inside the colourful windows... it's a masterpiece... it's different like all the others cathedrals I've ever seen.
Buy ticket online for exact hour and you don't need to wait in que than.
On the one side you have "birth" by perfectionist Gaudi, and on the otherside "death" is not my taste at all, minimalistic.
Insane architecture, still under construction. Right out of the metro when you walk up and see, you'll be amazed to see this gigantic structure!!! The details on it! It's mind boggling. Plan for at least a couple of hours. The insides are another story!!! Huge crowds. Probably the largest in Barcelona.
Larger than life sight and experience in the heart of Barcelona. Also directly accessible via the metro so very convenient for tourists traveling there.
Amazing architecture. So much detail in the stonework and carvings... Could take a week to explore each item. Will be completed in 2026. Definitely a great experience. Tons of visitors.
Absolutely worth the visit, one of the most fascinating cathedrals I have ever visited
