I have never seen such amazing architecture!! The history, the craftmanship, the beauty is a definite must see!! Do it with a tour so you can learn so much about it!!
Best thing I have ever seen, the wow factor is off the scale
There were only five stars or I would give it a hundred!!
You need time to really enjoy it. Don't miss the details in the doors!
Once you finish you can still go around for any food.
La Sagrada Familia is a must see when visiting Barcelona! It's a beautiful Cathedral and words and photos don't do it justice. It can be viewed from all sides and the neighborhood is dedicated to it as a focal point of interest and worship. I must point out, if you want to go inside Google it and book on line as you can't just walk in... It's well worth the effort and the hop on hop off tourist bus route stops out front.
Breath taking church a must see if you are in the area .
Outstanding outside, however the inside is not worth the price of admission, unless you are also going up to the roof
A very popular place in Barcelona. Remember to book tickets in advance. We were there during Christmas 2019 but the tickets were sold out until new year 2020.
Blew all expectations out of the water!
Was in Barcelona to celebrate getting engaged with my partner so naturally, we had to book tickets to La Sagrada Familia. Upon arrival, the queue was quite long but moved fairly quickly. Once going through the gates, we headed straight for the audio tour pickup which was included in our ticket.
You start the tour outside which gives you a very interesting and details explanation of the whole site and the vision of the completed project.
I was truly blown away by the inside which was completely different to any Cathedral I had seen before. The curves, lines and colour from every facade was truly incredible, the amount of space inside was astonishing and you got to see the building for what it was without all the "memorabilia" getting in the way like the Statues and Icons do in normal churches.
We bought a ticket to go up the Tower but due to heavy rainfall the day before, the Tower was closed for safety reasons. The staff were very apologetic and we were told that we would receive an automatic partial refund due to the closure which was nice.
10/10 would recommend but then again, who would go to Barcelona and not visit such an iconic site?! I cannot wait to return and witness the completed project in years to come.
Love it here! Visited this place 10 years ago and it was even prettier than I remembered.
Stunning cathedral. Superb informative audio. Will look even more amazing once the main spire is in place and it is completed in 2026. Book tickets in advance to avoid queues. The outside is stunning, but the interior is even better. Beautiful lighting.
Great architecture. Willing to visit again after the work finishes.
This place is, in a word, breathtaking! The audio tour is worth it if you want to get a more detailed description of the different areas. As soon as you get in and look up you are overcome by the sheer magnitude of imagination and creativity. It is just stunning and so precise. The artist intended for this to be like a big forest and every detail is just in the right place. It is a welcome sight to see that construction is actively going on and scheduled to complete. Catalonia's should be proud of this marvel!
The most magnificent work of architecture I ve ever seen. I highly recommend doing the tour- you ll learn a lot about the Sagrada Familia that you probably didn t know.
A magnificent church ...construction started way back in 1882 through the instigation of a local bookseller...it is still in construction...the beautiful 18 spires are magnificent...but still under construction..
Was not able to go inside although other people were there and it said online that it was open until 19.
Amazing and incredible place... Huge and giant! A must see...
It's beautiful, best of the architecture combination of art work and colours...they are renovating it. So i got to see both versions of the church. One face which is centuries old and one which is brand new. U get to live in two worlds at same place and time. Must visit
My goodness this place is something out of a fantasy book
I've never seen something like this, it's breathtaking. It's a must see if you're in Barcelona. Is till under construction (will be finished in 2026), but it's worth it. We bought tickets online (basic ticket 18 Euro- which included temple inside and museum). At the entrance it's busy, but is organised and is going fast, it took us 10 minutes to get in.
One of the best places you can visit in Spain. Worth the time and money
Simply amazing! You expect something great but once there from outside or inside its simply stunning and breathtaking. The details of Gaudi's work...a masterpiece of art. Worth millions times going . Will be back in 2026 when completed !
Awesome place. Right route for human power and fantasy. Make interesting place, not war and politics...
What can I say, but fantastic, incredible a must on anybody's list.
WOW!! It is truly a breathtaking piece of art! This building, just WOW!
It is a must visit place in Barcelona. One can spend hours upon hours here marvelling at how detail each stone is place upon one and another to form this cathedral.
The outside is stunning and the inside is just as grand. Each pillar is different, each stone of decoration holds a story...get the audio tour. It is a must.
One must see this place for themselves. It is super hard to put it into words of just how crazy beautiful this place really is.
It gets very busy there, but it's a must see..
Only seen from outside, but it is an amazing building, the architecture, so beautifully designed.
Absolutely amazing. The scale of the building is immense! Tickets were a minimum of 20, so we enjoyed the buildings architecture from the outside. There are bells every 15 minutes, and on the hour there is a very pleasant chorus of bells from all the towers, quite unlike cathedral bells from others that I have heard.
Astonishing but overcrowded and overpriced. Too crowded to take the time to get inside and the price scared me off. The look from the outside is however still free and I can recommend it. It really is crazy, and normally I don't bother checking out the tourist places but this one was definitely worth the trip.
Amazing collosal cathedral, my favourite part turns out to be the Eastern facade, dedicated to the Birth of Christ. Absolutely beautiful sight, pure art. The statues are full of grace and what i especially liked was the cypress tree with white doves, that is unique to a church. The other masterpiece that I saw were the three gates on this facade, a work of a Japanese master. Simply amazing.
Fantastic architecture, amazing place, not to be missed. It seems a bit pricey but I think it's worth every penny.
Arrange for a guided tour. You won t regret it. We used Julia Travel. Walked in at our appointed time and explored with our guide then had the rest of the day to investigate on our own. Dedicate at least two hours.
Stunning, go near sunset and the whole place lights up spectacularly.
Absolutely stunning building even though it s under construction. Can t wait for it to be completed so we can come back
Jaw dropping......One of the great wonders of the world. Absolutely none of the best historical landmarks I ve ever seen.
It s a must see when in Barcelona. Even though it has been in construction for at least last 8 years and since I last visited the cranes are still in the landscape. The place is crowded but there is a nice park behind it to relax and with some flying wild parrots. Very enjoyable visit as usual.
Wonderful creation of the great Gaudi. Anyone would be amazed by the extreme Intricacy of the work. Can you imagine of something which is incomplete but yet wonderful ?. Just a recommendation - audio guide should be more detailed and easy to understand.
The first place I visited in Barcelona.
A spectacular place in its beauty.
The Master architect Antoni gaudi. Shows of his best work of art. This place is amazing. Do go up the tower of passion. I did even with my vertigo. And do take the automated guide phone. We learned so much about each sculpture. Can wait for when it is completed. I'm definitely a fan.
Must see place in Barcelona. Spend some time outside and decipher the symbols. Great fun
Legendary unfinished masterwork of Antoni Gaudi, begun 1882. One of the world's architectural treasures. Excellent exhibits; you must go up the towers.
Well what a fabulous building it cannot be described or depicted properly in films or photographs. It has to be seen to be believed it is truly stunning.
When: Tuesday at 5:30pm
We bought tickets in advance. Line was about 20 mins to pass through security and then pick up your audio guide.
This was our last stop of the day (after Casa Batllo and Casa Mila). My personal favorite landmark, as well as many other people's favorite. It is so grand with TALL towers. They are expected to be completed in 2026. The stained glass windows are grand and different colors throughout for a reason.
If you come near closing, walk up to the top during one of the final calls - it was empty in the Nativity tower and we had a blast taking awesome pictures of us and Barcelona.
Overall: 10/10
I want to come back in a few years when it's finally all done!
Majestic, A Gaudi Masterpiece! Will be returning after 2026 to see it completed.
My absolute favorite church in all of Europe.
My kids enjoyed almost as much.
Book ahead. There is no off-season.
"Lets go have a tour round a cathedral" was what my partner suggested - i wasnt keen!!! But WOW what an experience!! Definitely worth the time to take the tour and understand the story and history of this place.... amazing!
Very impressive arquitecture by Gaudi. A must see attraction.
I honestly felt like the outside is much more beautiful and exciting than the inside. I paid about $17 USD for an entry ticket, and while I don't regret it, I expected a little bit more from the inside. Don't get me wrong, it's incredible but the price is very high. That said you should definitely visit!
This holy place is probably the most beautiful man-made structure I have ever had the pleasure of visiting in my whole life. I can visit this place 10 more times and still be amazed with the entire history, architecture and story it has to tell. You must get the audio-guide tour to understand what this place has been through and what each sculpture talks about. Make sure you buy tickets from before though as they are only limited ones per day.
It is a great experience to visit Sagrada Familia. Besides the impressive look from the outside, the inside is of an outstandig beauty, especially the light passing through the huge stained glass windows. But take care and inform yourself very well. I bought tickets from a websites that it seemed to me it was genuine but it was a partner and they sold me tikets for Nativity Tower which was closed that day. We had to buy other tikets at the entrance for the Passion Tower, 7 euro/person.
Amazing as you might have investigate. So my tip is: reserve your ticket at least 2 week before, especially if you want to go up in the towers and choose 9 am or 6 pm to see the best reflect of the lights in the vitrals
What an incredible space. Go inside and take the audio tour. It's a fascinating history and really worth while being a part of it while it's still under construction. Don't forget to go and see the museum after the main tour for more behind the scenes of the craftsmanship and design.
Absolutely breath taking, especially the inside. It takes a while to get into the church itself - whether you buy the ticket separately or through a tour company - you will need to wait for both anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. The church itself is very impressive and the inside is stunning with the windows and pillars. We loved this visit, do not skip it.
This place will leave you in awe. Amazing inside and out- my husband and I were here first week of January ... basically no line which was awesome; ticket price was 24 each but well worth it. We didn t make it up to the top but decided to do this when it s expected to be finished in 2026.
One of the most distinctive cathedrals you will ever see. One which leaves a lasting impression.
Lovely building inside and out. We'll worth a visit
A very different style religious building with a unique internal support structure that allows a lot of beautiful light through extensive stained glass that varies from east to west... I found the blue light when I saw it to be quite ethereal .... Worth the ticket.. Buy online best
Stunning monument. La Sagrada Famila is amazing to see in person
Outstanding Cathedral, The Masterpiece!
The spot you must see in Barcelona!
You need to take the Audio guide ticket 25
Telling you the history of the cathedral and so many facts! It's a good 2 hours around and inside the cathedral!
Very well organised!
Wow. What an awesome place. All the extravagance is on the outside. Inside Gaudi kept it simple which really is beautiful. The stained glass windows are incredible.
This blew my mind when you walk in and see all the colours for the first time. You have to go during the golden hour for the best experience and photos! Trust me it's worth the wait! Get the audio tour as well, the knowledge makes it so much better. Easy way to spend 2-3 hours if your a photographer. You get searched pretty good if you have a backpack. Do not miss this once in a lifetime experience!!!
Initially skeptical about checking out this historical site. It was spectacular, breathtaking, and one of kind in the world. Photos don t begin to provide any justice. Must see in person!!
An amazing building and well worth organising the tickets well in advance. You might be lucky and get the perfect sunny day: doesn't matter if not, it's a must go.
Fantastic sight.. take the guided tour and learn all about the thoughts behind this masterpiece. The lights inside is amazing. Order the tickets online and you will be sure you can enter when you arrive.
Amazing place of worship and architectural masterpiece. Be aware that although online tickets are timed, you still need to stand in queue to get in (it took us about 20 mins) and the same to enter tower. On the day we were there, tickets for that day were sold out before 12pm so it might be worth buying them online in advance.
A must visit if you're in Barcelona. I recommend doing the self guided tour to get your monies worth. Otherwise the whole place can be seen in less than 30 minutes if you're casually walking.
I visit the Sagrada familia every time I visit barcelona. Their audio guide tour used to be a lot longer and better. I recommend you go on a guided tour. If you happen to have a few days to spend in Barcelona I recommend you visit the park in front of the cathedral a day before so you have time to take a look on the outside and take some pictures.
Going all the way up to the tours is restricted during windy days and you will need to ask for a refund. I also recommend booking your sagrada familia visit online so you skip the huge line for tickets.
Barcelona is an incredible city! A must see. La Sagrada Familia just breathtaking, the architecture, the history, the art's, the culture is just amazing! Simplemente precioso!
you will not be disappointed. book your tour and enjoy the treasure by Goudi that is La Sagrada Familia. hint: bring your own headphones if taking the audi tour. Add-on one of towers to see the city from up high.
the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I say this because I had an issue with my reservation which they resolved for me.
be respectful and dress appropriately or you will not be allowed inside.
The Sagrada Family is a must-see for every tourist in Barcelona. When you go in the evening, the sun gives it a special and harmonic touch.
The place can be crowded and when you enter, you have to go through some security lines. Best is to be good on time if you want to visit this place. It's also good if you order your entrance tickets online. They are much cheaper and you don't have to wait for long lines on the cashline.
You have to be here once in your lifetime. I am curious when the construction will be finished completely.
Absolutely stunning. As you get close to La Sagrada the size of it really allows you to put it into perspective. I knew it was "big" but it was just a masterpiece to see in person. I HIGHLY recommend you do the audio guided tour (which is available in many languages) as it points out the intricacies of the building that you would likely overlook. The stained glass inside is stunning and one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
DEFINITELY by your ticket in advance for your scheduled time to enter. Showing up and buying tickets at the door will likely result in a long wait time. Plan ahead. It's busy, but its so so worth it.
Extaordinary place of great artist Dali, you can see whole Jesus Christ life on the wall of catherdal, from birth till the crucifixion.
One of the most beautiful places I ve ever been. The colours take your breathe away and even amongst the hustle and bustle of thousands of visitors it s very quiet and serene in places inside.
Beautiful architecture by Gaudi. Still being built, expected to be complete 2026 on the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.
The masterpiece of Anton Gaudi lied unfinished at the time of it's death in the early years of the twentieth century. After more than one hundred years works still continue, like as for an ancient cathedral, making use of traditional techniques as well as cutting edge engineering and digital design tool. The construction is due to be finished by 2026. The main nave, completed, is an incredible space filled with colorful light, while the towers outside mark the profile of the city from very distant spots. To visit you have to book well in advance (at least two weeks) from the official website. If you find the basic tickets to be sold out try also with other, more expensive, options such as the guided tours, as availai of different types of tickets are not linked.
Breathtaking building. Genial architecture! You must see with your own eyes...although it is impossible to imagine! No picture is good enough to show it's beauty!
Buy tickets ahead of time, time slots do sell out. For whatever reason the cheapest tickets without the audio guide will sell out before the others? Get the audio guide, it's very informational and will give you more context as you walk around. The outside is interesting but the inside is spectacular. The value for time is not as great as a large museum but I don't think this place can be missed.
This is a beautiful masterpiece of a cathedral in the heart of the most beautiful city in the planet. In one day I have fallen in love with the city's constant obsession with the most beautiful of everything. Most beautiful art, most beautiful architecture, the most beautiful location, and ofcourse the most beautiful people live in this city as well.
Sydney -> Hong Kong -> Barcelona with enough time to leave the airport and visit this interesting cathedral. It s definitely unique but by no means, the most glamorous or breathtaking. There s something very organic about its interior - like some sort of wasp nest or fungi colony, staring up at the underside of toadstools outside, a child s sandcastle at the beach is a good comparison but without the moat heading back to the airport now before my final flight to Morocco
La Sagrada Familia is a world Heritage Site. One day it will be an Inter Galactic Site..it is so good. This is an absolute must for your bucket list. It is an eye watering, mind boggling, breath taking visit. Order tickets on line...possibly get 10% for your troubles. One of the top in my lists of visits. It is not yet complete but that will not effect your wow factor visit.
Gaudi s masterpiece was amazing. Not only is every inch of the exterior covered it art, it all has a meaning that fits into the design. The way the light hits the surfaces on the interior is breathtaking.
I highly recommend going with a guide that knows the place well. You will miss some of the significance if you do not have a guided tour.
Make sure you by our tickets well in advance. Do not rely on buying them when you get there. Lines are very long.
It's incredibly beautiful! Probably one of the most impressive churches.
I have to say though, I was disappointed by the structure around it. There are walls and gates around it and that kinda kills it. It is also very expensive to visit, so unfortunately I've only seen the inside through pictures in the internet.
It's worth the visit at least to see it from the outside and walk around it, because it's really impressive!
Not my sort of thing to go and see but I got told by many people i had to go have a look. And jeez I am glad I did. It was amazing. Absoulty enormous. And just amazing to see.
The architecture within The Sagrada Familia is a must see and has the wow factor. The detail in every nook and cranny, inside and outside takes your breath away. You can't go all the way to Barcelona without a visit to the Basilica
La Sagrada Familia is the place to visit in Barcelona! We went to Barcelona in 2017 and came back this year and the difference is stunning! Can t wait see this beauty finished!
I came to Barcelona only to see it. Few months later I came to Barcelona again only to see it. Remeber to book ticket online to see it from the inside. In the evening go to the store, buy a baguette, fuet and cheese, sit on a bench in Placa Gaudi, eat fuet and watch Sagrada Familia. Moment worth everything.
Literally the best place to visit in Barcelona. Astonishing view of the 172 meters high basilica. Totally magical inside. BUY ONLINE AND COME IN TIME because of the queues and lots of tourists. The site is simple and allows one to get tickets in few simple steps.
The audio guide is a bot boring and doesn t include the headphones - just walkie talkie.
None of the pictures really shows the size nor the colors
Great site. Worth visiting. Order tickets a day ahead during busy season. Be aware of pickpockets.
A beautiful church with intricately designed, stained-glass windows.
Fabulous experience though you need to pre-book and get here ontime to access. Can get an experience outside but the beauty is within these walls
Must see in Barcelona. I highly advise getting tickets with audio guide to walk you through it, it s not enough to see the outside. I would also advice booking online well in advance to ensure availability. Prepare to be mind blown
Words cannot describe the beauty, detail and history of La Sagrada Familia.
We visited in July 1998 and again in July 2019. It is on our list to visit once it is finished in 2026!
Very good but the surroundings are dirty, Barcelona need to pay street cleaners more
Is a place that you must see with your own eyes. And you can only understand it when you see it, maybe. The gigantic doors entrance is just incredible
Utterly stunning inside and out. Very surprising how light and spacious the building seems from the inside. Book well ahead to make sure you can go when you are in the area as it is busy. Going up the towers is well worth it for the views, but also for the walk down. The Gaudi museum in the lower levels is also excellent and gives a great insight into the evolution and construction of the building.
It is a mystery place. You can feel and touch the God there... this place is a masterpiece. Audio guide in polish is perfect. Worth every money!
What can anyone add about this outstanding architectural creation. Absolutely magnificent inside and outside. It is much more than a typical temple. Booking tickets in advance is practically mandatory for a smooth visit without hassle. Visiting the towers as well is highly recommended. A 1 coin for the safe is needed, so you better have one with you. It is by far the Number 1 site to see and visit in Barcelona.
