Location is great with a nice view of the harbour bridge. It was a busy day for the restaurant, but I would expect higher level of service for such a nice place and prices. Food arrived a little cold and not fresh anymore. The Sangria is not good, recommend not to order.

With the Sydney Opera House as its backdrop and un-imaginable views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it is not surprising that Opera Bar has become a favourite Sydney experience, perfect for friends, lovers, Newlyweds and even for casual visitors. Showcases the seasons and shares local's favourites. Enjoy al fresco wine and cocktails at the water s edge, or indulge in the lamb rump or fish & chips from the Opera Bar menu. Pop in during the evening and listen to live lounge music with a cool bottle of wine. Opera Bar is the venue for a lazy lunch, pre-show bite, or to wow those out of town visitors.
A place that's right next to the opera house, and right across from the Harbor Bridge, spectacular views, and great service is shown by waiters and staff. May have a few peaking seagulls lurking about especially ordering fish and chips, be wary and try not to feed them!
One of my favourite spots in Sydney. Great views, atmosphere and Music. A decent dance floor opens up late Friday and Saturday evenings with a live band busting out the Tunes! A must see if your visiting from interstate or overseas!
Pay for the view, stay for the atmosphere. It's a great place for a Sunday session, if you like crowds. The live entertainment is consistently enjoyable as background noise. The crowds on the whole are friendly with smart staff with good hearing. Drinks are expensive, but they make almost any cocktail and have an ok selection of beers.
Awesome place to enjoy some open air drinks with incredible views. Drinks are expensive and it does get busy, but it's a good starting point for a night out
The open-air restaurant next to the Opera House also has an indoor area. Just go for a beer and don't give a meal recommendation. But the field of view is excellent.
Nice atmosphere and view, friendly staff, good prices, seagulls out of control. Beautiful setting right by opera house and water with view on bridge. Bartender helpful with recommendations. $10 for glass of Sparkling. Seagulls eyeing food, and go ravage as soon as customers leave table.
we had a beer and seating outside of opera house. it was beautiful with seeing harbour bridge. it was a bit cold but, they turned heater on. so my rate for this bar is 5 out 5 :)
This bar/beer garden offers one of the best views and ambiance. Bartenders may put you off at times during busy periods (this place is usually very crowded). But if you ignore their average service then you will be able to enjoy your drinks and views. It is a place for everyone and every season. Be prepared to shell out extra dimes out of your pocket as it is a bit expensive for obvious reasons.
Reserved a table several weeks in advance, it was then rudely taken. Asked staff if we they could move, they then said that it was rude to ask people to leave. I RESERVED THE TABLE! Btw, overpriced and overrated. You're paying for the view.
Opera bar is all about location. You have a awesome view of the bridge. You can be one of million people who take multiple selfies. Also at the base of the Opera House. Drinks are good but expensive. Also dress up, very Sydney Chic.
Very unique place in the city! You don t get a view like that anywhere else! The cocktails are amazing and the bar is big enough to come with as many friends as you wish! They only thing is that it gets pretty busy during the weekend but it makes sense given it s location. The food is not bad but I ve never had too much food beside sides with my drink
For starters, the location is awesome. Next to the water, Opera House on one side and the Harbour bridge on the other. The bar itself is nice and the staff is friendly. I've been here a couple of times and waiting time to order is limited to a minimum. House sparkling bottle is good price/value, so go for it if you feel fancy or have to celebrate something. Tried the Quesadilla here and I liked it. Try the Ruby Tuesday Beer on tap and enjoy the sun!
Came for a few drinks with friends. Everything was ok, except my friend went to buy a round of drinks for us. The Blonde lady behind the bar kept serving other people. My friend was patient, and kept waiting. She served 4 other people who walked up to the bar after him. IT wasn't until the 5th person he complained. We haven't had drinks, we just came up after work. He was Asian and the other customers she served were white. Now I'm not saying anything, but you gotta ask whats going on. Never again.
I always make a point of visiting when in Sydney. It s the vibe in the summer that makes it special. Looking forward to getting back again later in the year.
Don t miss out on the Opera Bar experience. One of the best places to hang out for a drink. Fantastic view of the Opera House and the Harbour bridge from the bar!
Awesome spot to chill as the sun goes down behind the bridge...the drinks are as you would expect a little steep, but the views, people watching and live music make it worth it. The service is usually pretty quick too, you order at the bar either inside or outside and they'll bring your drinks to you if it's something other than a beer, etc. Not a lot more to say about this place, you really come here for the location and the views, everything else is just window dressing...
Fine bar in a beautiful setting. Especially nice after sunset and at evening when live music is on. Wide selection of bottled beers, cocktails, and soft drinks. Prices are high, but the place worth it.
Cool place to kickback with a drink and enjoy the view. No need to order mains, the appetizers are good enough to share with between friends and good value.
If you wanted to sip on a drink (because they are a bit expensive, so sip and make it last a bit longer) and watch the sun set after work, where also in the back ground is the Harbour Bridge then visit the Opera Bar. It is popular with the locals and tourists alike.
