A group of 8 hung out here and enjoyed it. We did drinks pretty much before going to have dinner in the Rocks. I'd recommend it for the view and people watching!

Take a rose wine in the sun with a small drizzle that comes out of the umbrellas
Good place to chill but if the sitting arrangement is managed, thenitbwould have been the best
amazing view with massively overpriced drinks and food.
Very limited selection of beers which are overpriced due to the location.
But worth the view as long as you don't order any french fries because seagulls would ruin it
Unbeatable location! Sure, it's a bit pricey, but you're paying for the view and the fantastic atmosphere. Got a tasting plate to share which was all delicious, and they have a good variety of drinks.
It s on my I have a friend visiting Sydney itinerary.
The Opera Bar is set in a fantastic area, with views of the harbour, Luna Park and Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera House standing above you on the other.
The wait times at peak can be a little long because it's a popular venue. Prices are a little high, but again it's to be expected.
If you can manage to get a seat, some of them offer great views.
The tables took a while to be cleared, meaning glasses and previous patrons plates sat there for quite some time. Staff were more than happy to attend after asking them and they all proved very polite.
Enjoying the last day of 2018 with my boyfriend. Best place to enjoy the fireworks, accompanied with good food, relaxing vibe, and great people! Wish they could also offer at least bottomless soft drinks in the package. So far, it has given both me and my boyfriend a memorable old-and-new memory that we cherish together!!
Good place to sit and relax .The prices are expensive compared to places in the vicinity
Nice place, lots of people, lots of seagulls and an ideal view!
Good food, expensive but it's the Opera house, you can't expect any less. Great view and live music in the evenings.
After walking around bridge circular key and opera house we stopped here for a quick beer. Ended up here for 4 hours with amasing view cold beer and a very nice pizza.
The venue has live music which was very good. There is a very nice view of the harbour bridge to the west and is a great spot for tourists! Drinks are a little expensive because of the great location. I would recommend going for a visit if you are in Sydney.
Came here on my last night in Sydney and I was not disappointed. Arrived shortly before sunset and the views of the harbour bridge and opera house were spectacular! Such a great way to end my short trip to this city. The live music was amazing - idk who she was but she was very talented.
Awesome spot for a drink. Reasonably priced for its location and view. New menu and ordering from your phone. Very cool concept makes you drink more!
Kai loves going back every night I was in sydney but be careful it's not cheap
Service a little slow but the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great
Great view of Sydney harbour with wide range of drinks and food options. A great place to hangout on Friday, Saturday or any other evening of the week. They have an indoor as weel as a huge outdoor place facilitated with heaters to keep you warm during winter. They have a live band which adds extra energy into your experience.
Always so busy but for obvious reasons. The view is stunning and they do some amazing cocktails (although most of them are close to $20).
The vegetarian open sandwich was awful. You should be ashamed of yourself
Usually come here for pre-theatre drinks/nibbles with my parents before a show at the Opera House, good venue with a great view but does get a little busy esp. during Thursday and Friday nights
huge bar, always visited by a lot of people, live music and accordingly loud, but a must in Sydney
No better place to have a drink in Sydney. The view and ambience is second to none.
Full marks for views and atmosphere, can't comment on the food.
Absolutely amazing location and outlook. Was very surprised that the food and drinks were also well priced. Fantastic spot.
A great place to enjoy the stunning view of the harbour bridge and opera house during the day or night. I personally think it is a bit pricy but others may not agree. Last time i was there they had a Dj playing which is great. Atmosphere is fun and gets quite busy
Fantastic location and great selection of beers on tap. If you get the chance, try to Opera Beer (I'm pretty sure that was the name...). It's pretty cheap and tastes really great. They only have the one size of glass though so don't go expecting to get a couple of jugs or pints. Enjoy the view and take advantage of their outside bar setting!
The best place in the world to bring in the New Year.
Happy New Year Everyone 2020 x.
Best Bar in Sydney Hands down.
An Excellent Team & Management in a perfect location,
WOW
Thanks Guys I'll Be Back, Stock Up On The Grey Goose
A little expensive but wow the location is superb! Could stay all day just soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the view.
Great view. Food surprisingly good, considering how the location presumably would compensate for the (lack of) classic qualities of a restaurant.
Truffle burger was great, fish and chips portion size was very generous. Everyone enjoyed their lunch
Five stars due to the incredible, and unforgettable experience. The atmosphere at sunset is unmeasured. The company I was with will leave precious memories of this place. Staff was a bit unorganized, but very nice and helpful. The food was incredibly good, but unfortunately not all the main dishes come with good servings of meat. Serving sizes seemed a bit small to me, but I was also starving after a long, exciting day in the city.
Great bar with great view, cheap prices Highly recommend
over priced food
Amazing Sydney views
Lovely venue for cocktails and a light meal. Fabulous views! It can be difficult to get a table in busy times, like summer days, but the atmosphere is great. The DJ or band are always good. It's really an iconic venue that everyone should visit at least once!
Having a drink at Opera Bar feels mandatory to a visit to Sydney. Yet it can be super packed and then it is not the lovliest experience and rather feels annoying as you want to go somewhere less noisy, so it is rather not a place to go on weekends.
Great view great bar great food. Pricey but look where you are.
Crazy to get a proper seat which comes with the harbour bridge and opera house for your picture a background. The staff was organised and there are even people roaming around to make sure everything is peaceful. I would ask you to choose the seats which are near to the barricades, that separates the next door restaurant, because it will give u a good photo without people photo bombing you. The seats which overlooks the ocean harbour is also good.
The ordering system was pretty smooth, you can order at the counter, ask a waiter or just scan the QR code to order right from your seat. The place is not overpriced at all and I loved the serving size of their chips. It s huge.
Probably the best located bar in Sydney. Food and service are great too. I always order salt and vinegar calamari with a glass beer and it never fails!
Beautiful bar, great for getting a drink after seeing a concert!
Great location on the harbor, but you ll have to fight the crowds for a table and drinks. It s a great place to bring tourists as it has great views of the opera house, the ferries, and the bridge.
Probably my favourite bar in the world. Great Tapas, fast friendly service despite the crowds. Got everything.
Excellent location, music, ambiance and surprisingly food too. I expected to be a bit ripped off due to the hotspot location (which is perfect btw) but no such thing. Great food at a fair price.
Gorgeous view, good atmosphere. Usually very busy, definitely book
Best location, nice selection of cocktails and food. 10/10
They play gigs as well over the weekend. Quite occupying spot, parking is expensive though. Would go there Any day.
Opera Bar is my happy place
Great atmosphere, good drinks, amazing views and yumm food. Deadly combination.
Super fast and friendly service. I went there in the absolute peak at 6pm on a Friday night. Only waited less than 15mins for food and super quick service at the bar. Great location and stunning views. Highly recommended.
Actually, this rating is for the Opera Kitchen. Best affordable view with food in Sydney
so crowded place but u still can enjoy good food and drinks.
spectacular VIEW and amazing drinks
my fave place tO hangout
Location is perfect on a sunny day and the bar food was good. I quite liked the roast cauliflower
Awesome location for drinks on a Friday evening. Really good atmosphere and great views of the opera house and harbour bridge
It is the must-see place in Sydney, Opera House, Harbor Bridge, souvenir shops, and bars, always packed with tourists and locals, happy hours.
And of course local culture, theater, shows, after all we are in the Opera House.
Opera bar is a cool place with an incredible view of the Sydney bridge. It is directly below the Sydney opera house.
