Ice cold Peroni on tap, Best Margarita pizza this side of the equator (It isn't Naples), and some of the best views of the harbor bridge and opera house. I would say more than half the time I've been there they have had great live music too. Sydney has an almost limitless amount of places to go, something about the simple, laid back atmo and chill crowd make this place a perfect retreat on a hot afternoon.

Opera bar has a multi-million dollar view, with food and drink prices that won't break the bank.

The bar isn't a tourist trap, it's frequented by Sydney locals, especially those attending a show at the Opera house.

The food is decent, but not spectacular, and offers fair value for money.

A seagull pooped on my jacket. There is also "seagull patrol" that consists of a woman running around (literally) with a small fluffy dog to scare the seagulls away. Highlight of my first day in Sydney for sure.

If you can sneak away during your lunch break then this place is splendidly chill with a backdrop that can t be beat anywhere in the world. If you are coming for evening drinks then be prepared for a bumper to bumper experience of humanity. I used to come here often when I lived nearby and coming back has felt like a real treat.

Opera Bar is the perfect place to visit on a Sunday afternoon. It has amazing views, its close to the Opera House and Circular Quay. It offers great live entertainment, great music and bands. I love this place!

One of the best views of Sydney Harbour whilst eating, especially the out doors section in summer. Adequate heating in some parts in winter. Unfortunately at times (post work/pre Opera /Friday night)VERY noisy and busy all year round due to the through flow of foot traffic to the Opera House and other eateries.

Happy Birthday, Alicia! Worth every dollar for the scenery and breathtakin beauty of your GF and Best friend.

OK, probably not helpful to you. The drinks are expensive but with Downtown sydney to the left, the opera house above you, the bridge in front of you and a harbour breeze, the atmosphere is unmatchable anywhere i've been on earth.

Good

it was my birthday and the staff were so friendly and from booking the place a few weeks in advance to the day itself, the staff were professional , helpful and so friendly and nice. An unforgettable birthday for me!

Best view in the country. Great Covid proceedures in place with NSW App on entry and ordering from the table (also with an app) makes life easy. A plate of chips was $11, bottle of wine $55, so not so bad for the best venue and view. (Watch out for the seagulls and weekend surcharge, ouch!!).
Staff helpful and kind, all wore masks. Live music was ordinary, why was the female singer wearing a beanie on such a hot day? The band carried her, they were great (Not sure how she got that gig in the most iconic locale). However, it was relaxed and felt almost, kinda, normal. Highly recommend before or after a show.

Awesome

Opera bar & opera kitchen are not the same venue. Found out after I bought drinks & could not return to my group / table. I searched & found a small sign on the right side of the walkway - in Australia we keep left so a sign on the right is easily missed. It needs to be cleaner - in the photo, the sign is hidden behind these three people on the right & I only located it because I was searching for it.

Went there with my siblings, my brother requested somewhere with live music and a good vibe... we nailed it! Even though every other person in Sydney also thought Friday at the Opera Bar was a good idea SUPER BUSY- we scored a table, with a view, live music and used the new me&U food/drink ordering beacon at our table- our fresh bottle of Rose' arrived within 2 mins of placing the order!!! Didn't have to line up and it was delivered with the requested number of glasses to our table- GREAT idea! Nice move Opera Bar, will be back again soon to enjoy the Summer months by our beautiful harbour

How can you say a bad word about this venue? The view is obviously amazing and you don't have to reach too far into the pocket to appreciate it. Mind you you won't' find $5 beers here, but you also won't pay more than $10 for a nice glass of sparkling which in Sydney is a really win.

A good place to take family and friends who visit from overseas. It's always extremely busy and can be pretty hard to find a seat however it does offer unparalleled views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

What a great place to have a drink. Views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Drinks are reasonably priced given the location. Two beers and two champagnes for $41. Got to be happy.

This is one of the best venues to go out for drinking and socialising. The views of the Bridge and Opera House are fantastic and in summer it's even better watching the sunset here.
The drinks are very pricey, but considering the location you might want to settle on a few. There is music and it's open till quite late.
They have a good process for cocktails where they take the order and you pick up your cocktail at another location, so the line isn't held up

This place is all about the view. Watching the sun go down over the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the Harbour is one of those things that one must experience. Even with with a Sydney Opera House staff card which gives me a discount, the drinks and food are still ridicously expensive. But the view....it really is all about the view.

This is a venue that could easily have ended up being a tourist trap but a combination of good food, great live music, a tidy drinks list and some of the best views in Sydney make this a favourite of tourists and locals alike. I recently tried the two tier tasting plate for two (with a friend naturally) and there wasn't a single thing on it that disappointed.

For something unique, try the Opera Bar Organic Pale Ale

28 dollers for the worst cheese plate. Didn't originally come out with any chutney or pickles advertised and took two attempts to send it back. The girl we first complained to was then rude when we had to go to someone else to have the issue resolved.

As someone living in Sydney for a long time I never really experienced the harbour views like Opera Bar has to offer. We go for the wine and get tempted by the food. Can be a great night for drinks or day time place to chill with someone special or mates.
