What a great place for families in midtown Toronto! Whether it's a P.A. day for parents, or you want to bring your kid a weekday evening or on a weekend, this place has so many display and interactive exhibits for every age before 18! Also home to an IMAX theatre which showcases appropriate movies/shows.

I'm a bit biased. In grade school I got shipped off here once a week with five other kids (not quite sure why but I have my suspicions) for private science demos then two hours of free exploration time. As a kid, this was pure heaven (and may have influenced me to ultimately choose a career in technology). Having said that, when I took my next generation here, I was delighted to find it had the same open, vibrant, exciting feel as when I was a kid (bias acknowledged). My family did high wire walking, explored space, checked out a documentary at the theatre, watched public demos and enjoyed the Rouge ravine setting from the classic 70s architecture. A great place for a family visit IMO.

Excellent place to bring young kids to introduce them to science. We have a membership so we can linger one level during a visit instead of trying to fit the entire centre in. My kids love participating in the research studies.

Amazing family experience. Hands down the easiest three hours I've had with my three year old the entire trip. He was so engaged and fascinated the whole time. We only saw half of it and could've spent an entire day there.

I love this place and all it has to offer! Great for kids and adults alike. This most recent trip was to explore the pop-nology exhibit. Very well worth it, however I wish it was kn for longer, especially till the end of summer. It would have been a great opportunity for more kids to visit.

They've made some changes to other permanent exhibits, I'd say it's definitely a whole day event to really explore everythint. I can see kids getting a little tired, so maybe break it up into 2 trips if you can.

If you're going with a group and driving, try to take as few cars as possible, as parking is $10 a car (meet at a central spot nearby and pile into one car to save a few bucks for snacks or the gift shop!)

Incredible push for personal exploration of all things science. Excellent for kids (loads of hands on activities, including a specialized kids area!), super interesting for adults (think of it like a museum). Have fun exercising your mind

A sizable fun day out for kids. Lots to do and see and touch. Theres a young kids area but really you can go anywhere with little ones.
The gift shop sells some cool stuff and there's an Omnimax theatre on site. Plenty of parking. I recommend getting a membership so you can spread your visits out and take your time. Once you've gone 3 times in a year, you're already in the money.

I bought a membership for my family in 2017 with the thought that I would run it for one year and then take a break. I just renewed my membership today for another year and upgraded my level. This place is great. It keeps things fresh with new exhibits and topical, engaging subjects. The staff are here because they want to be. Also - coffee for the parents. This is a great place to come with my kids when the weather is too cold to be out and about.

Worth checking out if you're in the area. Was difficult to find via my GPS but that's more of a me problem. There's lots to do and check out, fun for the whole family. I felt it was more geared toward kids but I guess that's the idea.

It's not quite kept up with the pace of technology and some of the exhibits are feeling a bit tired, but there are enough interactive exhibits to make it enjoyable for a family with young children.

Like many growing up here have visited the Science Centre many a time throughout the different phases of life. Came again last week with a group of friends and families and we all enjoyed ourselves tremendously. So much so we decided to become members. Definitely a wonderful way to spend a day.

Not a bad place but not worth one's time or money. From my personal experience; I brought two children both under 6 years old, they had things to do and all but not too educational. A lot of fact written on the wall but not too intriguing for me to catch my eye and say wow didn't know that before.
Also- VERY VERY bad parking. Crazy area in the parking lot. One worker destinates you to park in one area and when I was leaving they said it was a bad area to park in.
