Beautiful hotel with courteous staff. Food provided for event was very good.
Beautiful hotel with courteous staff. Food provided for event was very good.
Clear rooms, exceedingly friendly staff, and great location.
We used the valet service, and it was super friendly.
Great rooms, great location. Staff was incredibly friendly.
Rooms were somewhat small. Fine for one person but a bit cramped for two.
Excellent hotel with good housekeeping and room cleanliness. The staff is friendly, but the rooms are small. I like large rooms.
Rude desk staff, valet parking not available to those with aftermarket wheels, no hot water in the morning for many hours, room was very cold even with heat set to 78, inside walkway from hotel to mall has been undergoing construction for awhile now, list goes on.......I've stayed at better downtown hotels
The historic lobby facing Georgia street is very cool.
We attended a wedding reception at the hotel. It was very nicely organized, and the wait staff seemed to know what they were doing. They even offered an allergy-friendly meal and dessert! I rarely ever get dessert at a wedding because of my allergies to gluten, dairy, and nuts. But they managed to get a watermelon sorbet for me! The only criticism I can think of is that the reception room was very crowded. It was rather difficult for us to manuver between tables. Other than that, great experience!
Lobby/Entrance nice. Rooms just ok. Convinced kitchen/in-room dining staff work in different time zone. Ordered dessert for room service, was told to expect it by 6:00pm. Finally arrived at 7:53pm. Set up morning breakfast room service, to be delivered between 7:45am-8:00am.....never received (checked out at 10:44am). Also, appears they charge for local phone calls as well.
Always enjoy visiting the Severin bar when. I stay at the Omni. Great apps, drinks and close to the room.
The staff at the Omni were incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby is gorgeous however the rooms themselves seem a little outdated and the bathrooms were extremely small and tight. (Also the toilets are weirdly hard to flush.) The location is great in the heart of downtown and conveniently attached to the Centre City Mall. The only real issue I had is that they seemed a little disorganized. When checking in they originally had the reservations wrong, and the next meeting they woke me and my son up with a call saying that they were waiting on my husband for the shuttle. ...he had taken the shuttle more than an hour earlier.
For those of you staying at this hotel paid through the residency or fellowship at IUSM/IUPUI be cautious about giving them your credit card. They incorrectly billed my account the cost of the room when it was to be paid for by the company and have they have yet to remedy the problem. Furthermore the valet parking rate is exorbitant at $49.
The location is good. The staff are friendly. However, they nickel and dime you to death! There is NO drink vending! We couldn't even get a bottle of water anywhere, then we asked at the front desk and they gave us some. No mention of that upon check-in! But you could have a bottle of water for $7 that was in the room! No free wi-fi! No mention of wi-fi upon check-in. Well I got a surprise on my bill of $15! I was livid. Apparently my daughter logged on but didn't think it went through, but again no mention or signs of having to pay for wi-fi. Not happy! The t.v. was small and really far away from the bed, the t.v. really needed to be about 2 times bigger. Tiny bathrooms and no counter space. Water pressure is non-existent. Small beds. Would not stay here again. No not tub. They stalk you to take your bags to your room. I am perfectly capable of taking my bags to my room and it really kind of upset me that I was forced to tip when I absolutely did not want to and should NOT have too! It was clean and of course one of the old remodeled hotels and it had lots of character. Be prepared to pay $44 for overnight parking. Park your own car in the parking garage behind the hotel. It's $22!
The first thing we saw was a smiling and friendly valet who looked like he genuinely enjoyed his job. He made us feel right at home. We're currently on our second night here. Second time we've stayed at the Omni. Everything about this place is amazing from the two story rooms to the friendly staff. It's everything you want in a hotel stay.
This hotel is very, very nice. Staff is great! My room was a little small but perfect for this particular trip. Pillows are amazing! Everything was really good except the cost of the valet parking.
The service was great, from the valet parking to the complementary shuttle. The front desk was very helpful, and the beds were great. No complaints at all.
GREAT location. Once you park, you won't have to leave again. Everything is close and walking distance.
The Omni is a beautiful hotel!
The valet is $46 a night, but there is a parking garage right behind the hotel for the mall that is only $24 a night. You can either walk through the mall to get to the hotel or you can walk outside.
Just visited for a tour for our wedding, absolutely beautiful
This is a beautiful historical hotel in the heart of Indianapolis. We had a comfortable stay. Our room was spacious. Clean. Our bed and pillows we're comfortable. The shower had such great water pressure it felt like a massage showerhead. Amenities were limited as it is everywhere, right now, in 2020. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.
The Omni Severin Hotel hosted the ShePower half marathon and 5k race this weekend. Everyone that I encountered throughout the hotel was incredibly helpful in guiding race participants to where they needed to be. Although I did not stay at the hotel, the staff was inviting in every way. I can only hope they continue to host this event in the future as I know we will be warmly greeted and guided to the appropriate location for the event.
Great location, staff and hotel. Their pride in their work and appreciation of quality service shows from the moment you check in to the time you leave. One of the best hotel experiences I have a had in a long time.
The view from our room on the eleventh floor was amazing!
Always try to come back here when I stay in Indianapolis. Some of the rooms are a bit tired in places but the breakfast is decent, staff are friendly and service is good and the rooms are a reasonable size. Nice lobby area and a cosy bar with pool tables
Rooms were good, and fairly comfy. Great location and amazingly helpful and friendly staff.
Getting old and worn out showing signs of age, wallpaper peeling, stain and finish worn off from doors. they need to do a remodel or cut their prices and provide some sort of parking $28 a day is ridiculous...
Four stars is just for the experience and convenience of being downtown
Room location was excellent, but the room was not very large. Service was fine though we didn't need to use them for much.
Room is very nice and the service is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is right in front of the train and bus stations so it's convenient. There are also many places to eat nearby.
Hotel is nice ans clean. Rooms on the smaller side and the in room wifi is poor. Staff is great.
We had a wonderful experience. We got the park and play package. It was my wife's birthday and they brought us a complimentary dessert without us asking which was delicious. The room was very clean and the free beverage brought to our door in the morning was on time. The breakfast buffet at the 1913 restaurant was well made and service was good as well. We would definitely stay here again.
I stayed four nights. The service was good, but hotel needs some updating. It was very cold outside and the room s heat would kick on every five minutes with a loud thud. I paid for an upgraded room, but really didn t get a sense of having more size, just a larger closet area. I also visited the fitness center each day and it was clean, but they need to fix the TVs. You would flip through five channels of static to find something and there was no guide. It s a small issue, but a good example of the many small issues the property has.
Horrible guest service, unfortunate for such a nice looking hotel.
Easy access to everything, very comfortable, gr8 rates, my thought is there shouldn't be a charge for fridge and microwave, if it is requested when booking, Thanks for your service
Very nice hotel, but very business class/uptight. Great service, nice rooms, clean, friendly staff. Downsides: paid WiFi ($10/day!!!), very expensive room service.
Above and beyond an average hotel experience. I'll never go back.
Great Hotel, best attitude staff, all professionally trained, loved it, will go back again.
For the price of this place you would think it would be nicer. Very ran down. Needs a complete remodel. The little TV was so far away from the bed u couldn't even really watch it. Staff was friendly but the accommodations were far below par...
Solid stay, building is older but everything was clean and in working order. Would definitely stay again
I love this hotel. This is the only hotel I will stay in. Employees are great. Pool is great. Very nice setting. Love the bi-level rooms. Would see recommend.
We had dinner at the 1913 restaurant. The food was very good. Servis was exactly what it should hace been in a place of thus quality. I would go again.
Clean, great food (for a wedding) and polite staff. 100% would recommend!
Great acommidations, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to check in early, and every staff member we encountered made sure we had a smooth experience. Great team and always a great experience. Will always recommend.
Nice hotel and friendly employees. The bathrooms were not as nice as expected for what the rooms cost
Gorgeous. Great location by convention Center downtown. The breakfasts are super rich and loaded with beautiful jams ans specialty butters. The staff was over the top attentive.
My husband and I just got home from our stay. The room (executive king) was nice. I especially loved the turn down service. It was great coming in with the bed ready for sleep and the relaxation station on.
However-the mattress was horrible. I can't imagine how old it was, but it needs to go in the trash. The indentation in the middle was so bad, you had to grip the sides so as not to roll down into it. I spoke to a few other guests, and they had the same issue. For that reason alone, I stay someplace else next time.
Great hotel. I loved staying there, rooms are nice and staff is helpful. Overall a great experience.
So I ll write this review with a pros vs. cons list.
Pros: Friendly staff; depending which staff member you get - some will tell you about the best perk of their hotel and some will not.
It s connected directly to the mall, convention center and other hotels in the area by a skywalk; this helps when it s cold outside and also - it was SUPER convenient to just walk right into the mall. Room service was great; I recommend the cheesecake if anyone looks for dessert. The maids were also very friendly as we came in contact with them several times. The valet attendants were friendly as well and provided speedy service.
Cons: No complimentary breakfast; No parking. They do have two close parking garages near the hotel that you can park at, but expect to pay a fee for those as well. If you decide to use valet - it s $40 a day - regardless of if you get the car out that day or not. This might be a thing for people in this area but I'm listing it as a con because in most hotels that I ve visited, they have parking. The showers... I stayed in a double bed x2 room.. so fairly basic I know but the shower left you SUPER cold because it was mainly open.. and the bathroom was so large that it couldn t fully warm up. One vending machine for snacks - no store to purchase anything from. (They do have a bar and a restaurant but the menu is very limited.)
Overall I rated this a 3 Star review due to the fact that the price and quality did not hold up to the reputation of the Omni.
Lovely hotel and lovely people. Really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location.
Amazing hotel! It is beautiful. The staff is really nice. The beds are extremely comfortable and I found it to be affordable because I used Groupon plus a 10% discount. I would stay there again.
The Omni is a wonderful go-to for a classic, wedding or event. They are able to transition guests and transform spaces seamlessly throughout the evening - from the wedding ceremony to the cocktail hour, dinner, and an evening of dancing. They work great with local wedding vendors and have great catering options. I highly recommend the Omni if you re planning a wedding!
Favorite place to stay when we come to Indy. Staff is over-the-top friendly. Rooms are always clean and the food/bar offerings are fantastic. Look forward to our next trip.
I didnt stay in the hotel, I was part of a photobooth for a wedding reception. The hotel lobby was nice and clean. The room for the reception was decorated beautifully. The staff was all amazing and well manered.
Great location... right down the street from Lucas Oil stadium. Clean lobby, nice bar. Beds are nice and soft. A tad expensive for the quality. The bathroom leaves quite a bit to be desired!! And $7 for a bottle of water?
Amazing hotel And great location! Had a great room with a patio and a view, will definitely return.
Small rooms compared to the Hilton on capital center..good overnight stay..no parking garage for hotel it's either valet or park in overnight mall parking...Hilton parking garage is connected and it's closer to everthing, better rooms, and seems like friendlier environment
Geoff Kolar did an amazing job setting up our reservation and making us all feel welcome! The rooms were great! Great location!
