Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade Review

I had a great stay. The staff was very friendly, and the amenities were nice.

This hotel is very upscale, but the walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighboring rooms when it is quiet. No complimentary breakfast, but there is WiFi. Over all, the experience is pretty nice and luxurious for the price.

Breakfast on Saturday starts at 6:30 we were told 6am. We made our schedule based on the front desk telling us 6am.

The Omni Hotel and service is excellent! We enjoyed the luxurious room. The bed, sheets and pillows were my favorite. I was there with my little son and we accidentally left our room door open. After several hours out we returned to an open door room with all my belongings untouched, including my purse with $500 cash and credit cards. The indoor pool, sauna and hot tub was awesome. The gym has cucumber water with all the right equipment. It was hard for me to leave. This place is beautiful, safe and clean. Everyone is so friendly too. The staff is excellent. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The rooms are spacious and well appointed with excellent amenities. The beds are comfortable. The ambience of the hotel provides for a very relaxing stay.

Nice hotel. It looks upscale. Food was subpar and horrible coffee. For a "luxury" hotel of this cost, I expected a bit more. Friendly service though. Depends what matters to you on this one. Smiling faces or a comfortable bed with good food?

Always exceeds our expectations! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, great views of the city and hill country. Strawberries and Champagne brought to our room, courtesy of the staff. The bed is amazing, makes for a restfull stay. Will continue to stay for business/pleasure.

Stayed over one night and it was as expected. Quick service, the hotel was nothing too fancy, but good quality.

The experience of was great. I never had to call room service for any extra services.

It's a decent place although you have to pay for WiFi. The pool with an evening movie is nice.

And 2 weeks ago, my own hubby and myself stayed at the Omni on the Riverwalk - La Mansion! LOVE these 2 places!!!

Stayed here for the 2018 American Legion Convenient. Sunday they had 2 elevators go down, but can't blame them for that. Over great stay.

The breakfast was really good, it has a perfect American breakfast buffet and a chef that'll make you any kind of eggs you'd like. The service was excellent and the ambiance was quite enjoyable, I'd go back there any time.

Excellent! Wonderful hotel. Excellent service from beginning to end. Had connecting room with our older parents (asked to be near them, got connecting room which was like having a suite with living room; excellent since we like to gather in one room for meals and sharing family time--no extra charge!) Very clean rooms, comfortable. Room service first morning for breakfast was awesome, Luz was incredible. Just a really good, clean, beautiful hotel. Will definitely look for other Omni Hotels.

I attended a professional event, but did not stay in the hotel. The conference rooms are nice, and the staff worked well with us for any changes or issues that came up during the event.

I travel a lot for work and spend a lot of time at the Omni Las Colinas. I thought with it being the same brand it would be the same quality. The bathroom door hits your knee when you sit on the toilet. The room is New York City small. I wasn t offered waters upon check in. It s the little things that make a huge difference. I ve already cancelled for tomorrow night.

This Omni is an older one but the charm is still there. The rooms are a little smaller than newer Omni's but it's the bathrooms that could use an upgrade. There is very little room to move around for one person in these older bathrooms and it lacks modern features like a towel rack. The beds are a little old and uneven. There furnishings are dated. There is plenty of parking and the staff is friendly. The rooms are tidy and clean.

In town to visit SeaWorld and Omni is a partner with them here in San Antonio. Hotel is nice, excellent service and friendly staff. Room service was quick and high quality. I'd stay here again if i'm back in town.

This place is trashy. They had hood rats in the pool drinking and smoking around little kids and throwing their beer cans, cigarette butts and food inside the pool.

Extremely competent staff and very cozy rooms! The indoor/outdoor pools are very well maintained. This whole hotel is the perfect package! I love the pink granite and marble everywhere. Such a well designed hotel.

Only downside is there weren't any electric vehicle chargers for us on site. We'll be back though!

Worthless paid $117 and no complimentary breakfast, room are old. Try looking for other hotels.

Very nice hotel, courteous employs. the only downfall was the air condition seem to not keep up with the Hot weather that day manageable but not satisfying.

I attended a conference at the Omni. They had many spaces for break out sessions. They were able to quickly reset these rooms into a large banquet room. Our 400 people fit comfortably in there. The staff was courteous and the banquet food was divine. We had breakfast in one of the restaurants and the price of $20 seemed a little steep. There was some value as the custom made ommletes were produced by a friendly chef, who flipped the ommletes high in the air using only the pan. I highly recommend this classy hotel.

Lovely property...rooms were gracious and clean...staff were all extremely nice. The restaurant had great food and friendly wait staff. The lounge was inviting and we were able to meet friend there. We brought our grandchildren to the pool area. Everything was first class. Great value too. Our rooms were so reasonable for the amentities we received!

Well, Omni requested a review and their review site directed me here, so here's the review I left on their site:

My truck was burglarized in the Omni Colonnade parking lot four hours after arrival. I was driving this truck because my 4Runner is still in the shop having its driver's door and dash rebuilt due to it being burglarized last September in the Omni Southpark parking lot. Omni parking lots are soft targets and are clearly being monitored by criminals. Omni's complacency re the safety and security of its guests is appalling: no parking lot security presence after dark and no lot cameras at either property. Vehicle alarms and the sound of windows smashing on the ground are unnoticed or ignored and criminals dismantle dashboards and ransack vehicles at leisure. Maybe it's going to take an aggravated assault or sexual assault or two to get Omni's attention--the approximately $11,000 damage my vehicles have sustained certainly hasn't. After eight years and over two hundred stays at nine Omni properties I'm moving on--there's no way I'm putting myself, my loved ones or my property at continued risk in the high crime zones that Omni properties have become.

I simply cannot fathom how an organization which has performed virtually flawlessly over hundreds of my stays can be so reckless and intransigent as to refuse to implement basic security best practices.

Prior to booking there I had seen a review that said Kid friendly; it is not. The indoor pool is not heated, nor is the pool area at least warm. There appears to be a fee for just about everything, and the only fridge in the room is a tiny one already stocked with outrageously priced items, so forget about storing any cold items you may have purchased elsewhere. Also, the room does not have a microwave, so you can't warm up anything. The room decor is dated and borderline tacky, the beds and pillows are not comfy, the TV is old, and the furniture is old and smelly. I did not see any usb ports for charging, so you will need your adapter for sure. The faucet in the shower was placed incorrectly, so although I followed the hot/cold arrows, I ended up scalding my hand because the faucet was wrong. This place really falls short, and I could keep going, but I will just say I expected better from the Omni brand. First time there, last time there.

We had an awesome time! Arjay was amazingly helpful. Having our key ready when we got here made check in a breeze. Rose petals know the floor, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne just topped off our arrival. Heated indoor pool, sauna, and a fitness center didn't hurt either. Will definitely be staying here again!
