Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade Review

Nice place for an expensive drink. $9 is a bit much for a 6 oz glass of wine.

The staff at this Omni location are some of the best people you'll ever meet. Every single employee there attended to my needs (beyond the call of duty) and made me feel so at home that I was almost sad to leave. The room I had was very clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool area was BEAUTIFUL especially in the evenings. This was overall the best hotel stay I've ever had.

The Omni always has GREAT FRIENDLY STAFF, and the hotel is always clean. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Horrible horrible horrible. Walking in you see 50 plus people waiting for the elevator. Apparently they were down to 2 elevators. And we were not warned about it at check in. We had a room on the 15th floor and had to wait for an elevator which we were told only 8 to an elevator. People piled in and you could hear the elevator screech. We finally made it to our room and we find a tray of food in front of our door. I wasn't sure if we had the right room but we did. The room was not what I expected it was small and dark. We decided to leave but before we did we tried to call the front dest and no answer. We we grabbed our things and headed back to the elevator and wait for 20 min before taking the stairs with all of our belongings down 15 flights.
Will never stay there. Do not recommend.

Excellent hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very well kept and comfortable. Location of the hotel was perfect for everything we had planned in San Antonio. My family would definitely stay here again in the future.

Beautiful hotel once you step inside. Nice restaurants and excellent lounge area.

Love love the atmosphere at the omni. The upscale bar/ lounge is worth the stroll; they have a live pianist. Just lovely.

I visited family that were staying there at the lobby bar. Was taken care of by Petra and had a wonderful time.

Nice hotel. Tiny closet and need to upgrade the WiFi but the service is great and the breakfast buffet is super yummy!

Bed was great but the couch pull out was full of springs and the kids didn t sleep well. Great customer service and hospitality

Always have liked staying here. But had not tried restaurant. It is great. Super good food and excellent service. Won't be dining out next time I stay here. Thanks so much. Love coming to San Antonio and the Omni.

Pool is nice. Rooms are fine. Easy access to the USAA headquarters.

It was beautiful but didn't like the way they arranged such long aisles for our meeting.
It felt unsafe to be stuck in the middle of 20 people on either side. If there were a fire or you needed to go to the bathroom, you have to say excuse me to alot of people.

They were much more concerned with getting me to spend my per diem than giving good service. They are like the only hotel in the world that charges for WiFi and not a tiny charge either.

The hot tub was under repair. The doorman was not opening doors for guests. I walked right past him with bags in my arms. I guess they were bird watching.

I'm in San Antonio enjoying this beautiful hotel Omni.

Easy to find, beds are very comfortable and guest services was nice. They have an indoor and outdoor pool and check out is at 12 pm. They also have 24hr room service we ordered a turkey sandwich, chips and queso and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was good, prices can be a little expensive, but that is to be expected in a hotel restaurant. Overall a good stay.

Good price for a very nice hotel. We will stay there the next time we are in the area.

Checking in got messed up so apparently I didn t have an incidentals deposit or a credit card on file. Had dinner that night charged it to the room and went to bed. At 11pm I get a call to come downstairs and pay my tab again. I told them i wasnt doing any thing tonight (again 11pm). So security comes a knocking and eventually just open my room. The gentleman tells me if I don t give him a credit card he would call the police, evict me from the hotel, and keep my money.

Needless to say, I grabbed my stuff and left. This is the wild ride you expect at a motel by the highway. Take my advice and stay at the Hilton.

Update: I had the management team contact me. The security team forgot to report the incident. Initially I was happy with the apology and they offered to send me a certificate for a free stay at any Omni. Unfortunately, I never received that certificate.

One word... AWESOME! My wife and have stayed here many times. They have beautiful rustic rooms overlooking the Riverwalk, a top class restaurant Las Canarias that serves world class food, has a great Sunday Brunch, and a must try breakfast buffet. Highly recommend the Omni!

This place saved my life! Danell at check in was amazing. She was so helpful and so friendly. They have a indoor and outdoor heated pools, 2 bars, gym, spa, gift shop, and restaurant. The room was amazing. Very clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable, we both got a great night's sleep. There's a coffee pot, hair dryer, safe, and mini bar in the room. Literally didn't want to leave!

I only went for mothers day brunch. It was delightful and filling.

It was New Year s eve and my daughter s 5th birthday.
We chose Omni to celebrate and get away from the neighborhood fireworks. Every minute of our stay was outstanding and we have great memories. The staff was bend-over-backwards friendly and efficient. Great experience overall. Thanks Omni.

In fact I had 2 small incidents.... and the staff and management fix it super fast beyond my satisfaction.

This is the best place I've ever stayed in my life...

The fridge was stocked with food, snacks, cold drinks and adult beverages...

I'm going to go back here as soon as I can...

You would think it would cost 200-250.00 a night.... wrong.... cheaper....

From 99.00 to 115.00 per night..... with a 3 plus night stay.... OMG

You absolutely have to go to this great Hotel/Resort...

When you walk in the hotel's gives you a 5 star feel. However the rooms fall a bit short. One problem is there is no fridge! They have the all so popular mini fridge stocked with goodies (ever heard of a Twix Candy bar costing 3.75?) There is no unlimited WiFi. The two temperatures in the shower were hot and scolding. Very thin walls.

I attended a business conference here and utilized several conference rooms and a block of rooms. This is an older hotel if you look closely but they have done a great job of keeping it modern.

My room was decorated very nicely. King size bed and an overstuffed couch with coffee table. There was also a desk and chair and the room had multiple lamps with dimmers, which was nice.

My only issue was the bathtub. After a long day, I wanted to take a hot bath. The bottom of the tub had non slip strips that felt like gravel on my skin. It was HORRIBLE! I'm sure they want guests to utilize the hot tub area but I just wasn't up for that. In addition, the tub itself was very shallow. Truly, the worst bathtub I have ever encountered at a hotel. EVER.

The staff that I came in contact with were top notch. Friendly and professional - most impressive! All in all, it was a beautiful facility that I would recommend to anyone for either business or pleasure!

Everything about the Omni was unforgettable! It was a short stay and I immediately left feeling like I wanted to come back. The amazing night started at check in, specifically with Danell, who was perfectly professional and anticipated every need. I ll definitely return to San Antonio, and I d go out of my way to stay at the Omni--not just for the amenities, but for the exceptional hospitality. Thank you!

Hotel staff is amazing. They were prompt and extremely courteous. I expected more of the hotel. Some upgrades are needed. The air in my room never got cool enough and the air stopped working in the ballroom where we had our conference. I would love to give it 5 stars, but the air situation made it difficult to give all five stars.

The overall stay was satisfactory at best. The omni hotel has nice amenities such as a sauna, pool, and door greeters. Everything else is nickled and dimed such as no microwave in the room with everything being an additional price. There are better options to choose from.

The San Antonio Omni at the Colonnade provides an exceptional experience...from the heavenly beds, to the service provided, to the breakfasts at Bolo's Restaurant, to the front desk service and to the exceptionally clean rooms....we stay there each and every trip to San Antonio!! The Omni Hotel at the Colonnade is the way all hotels should be!!

Have stayed here many times over the years for business and leisure. Always meets expectations!

I feel like I stepped into an 80's time warp. This hotel is 100 steps back from any other Omni hotel I have ever stayed. Carpeted walls, huge chairs, beds that are for 7 footers. Old, muted, cigar lounge like lobby, weird sunk down bar. If you need a 1980's nostalgia moment, this is the place for you.
The staff is nice, helpful and accommodating.

Location is good but otherwise extremely outdated and in desperate need of Rehabilitation. Unfortunate that this is considered an Omni Hotel

Great location, AMAZING staff, fully loaded gym, large rooms.

My main issue is I have a medically restricted diet so having no fridge or microwave to have my own food can be a hassle but everything else is amazing!

We had a good stay. The room was very nice, we got a corner room with two windows. I really didn't go look at the pool or anything past the lobby but it seemed nice.

Omni is our hotel of choice when we stay in San Antonio. You can count on top notch service and a clean comfortable room. Breakfast at Bolo's is a favorite for my teenage children. I highly recommend this hotel.

we stayed here for our first anniversary in oct 2010. we just happened to mention it was our anni and they left us champagne and cheese and crackers gratis. Was so romantic. beautiful hotel! Beautiful pool! really a nice place. no complaints about the service. just the slow elevators...

Very nice stay. hot tub and indoor pool were actually not marketed but were key highlights of the hotel along with Bolo's restaurant. The shrimp street tacos were great and affordable!

Got charged an extra 50 dollars without warning. Definitely won't stay here again.
